The loud noise that occurred at the moment this kiss aired was the sound of an entire population's proverbial panties dropping. Has there ever been a hotter line spoken? This is the power-necking the soap community taught us about. Swarla started off SO strong it's frankly terrifying. 14/10 Carla knew what she wanted.

2. "Have you?" (29th November 2024)

When the most confident dyke on the cobbles asks you if you've changed your mind about your feelings for her, you are required by law to stubbornly keep your hand on your hip. Even if she pushes your hair back from your face as delicately as humanly possible??? If Lisa Swain ever looked at me like that I would burst into flames. 11/10

3. "Is that better?" (16th December 2024)

We reached the domesticity era of their love in 0.2 seconds flat and I for one am not upset about it. The way Carla nuzzles in? The tilt of Lisa's head? The repetition? I was not expecting more kisses so soon in their story. The only way this could've gotten better is if they'd eaten each other's faces after this had been a clearer angle. 7/10 Carla Connor saying, “I want you.” plays on loop in my head at all times.

4. "Mmm... truffley." (20th December 2024)

The prolonged eye contact???? The dazed look on Lisa's face immediately after?? The fucking giggles???? The sheer power Carla Connor has and wields for good (ie. my own entertainment). Coronation Street said y'all deserve this. 10/10 Carla can hand feed me any day of the week.

5. "See you later." (20th December 2024)

Have you ever seen anyone look so peaceful about a decision before? Carla Connor said, "Today's the day I kiss my girlfriend in the street." I know y'all were waiting for that Live Sally Reaction and it did not disappoint. I hope they kiss each other goodbye constantly forever. 6/10 The way she analyzed Lisa's entire face before leaning forward made me scream both internally and externally.

6. New Year's Countdown (31st December 2024)

If you thought I wouldn't lose my mind over the image of them off in a corner of the pub in their own little world, you were wrong. I need to know if this was a scripting choice, an acting choice, or an editing choice for reasons. I'm never going to get sick of the way Lisa pulls Carla closer by the shoulders (almost) every time they kiss. Lisa closing her eyes like that makes my heart stop beating. 8/10

7. "Ooh, your lip!" (31st December 2024)

You ever just get aggressively snogged by a woman who's falling in love with you (while your lip is busted open from fighting bad guys)? Superheroes really don't get days off but they do get the girl. I miss the power-necking (literally a month ago?!?), but this was still so cute. 9/10 for the sheer fact that Carla needed a New Year's like this considering she dies like 12 hours later.

8. "Won't take that long." (31st December 2024)

Carla Connor isn't the only one who nearly fainted shortly after this kiss. Lisa said let me flutter my drunk eyelashes at you. The way Carla opened her mouth?? The breathy, "You want to go to bed?" from Lisa??? The fucking forehead lean???? I am too goddamn gay for this to be on my screen. How did we get a month into this relationship and already reach 8 kiss scenes? 10/10 thanks Coronation Street for the gay rights.

9. "Please don't leave me here." (1st January 2025)

The fact that Lisa could walk away from Carla in this moment is frankly mind-blowing; her face is the same colour as Betsy's shirt. Lisa, woman, OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES. Someone said Carla looks like she died 3 hours ago and they're not wrong. 3/10 because I'm a sucker for the domestic nature of this but also I want to punch everyone in the face for not protecting our sick baby. Gold star for the Corrie makeup department and their highlighter collection.

10. "Are we okay?" (8th January 2025)

Lisa Swain's affectionate eye roll immediately after Bobby interrupted them is like 1/1000th of how we all really felt. She lingered on this kiss for so long. The hand coming up to cup Carla's head? The forehead lean again? Carla's little smile when she realized what was about to happen? Give these ladies a room that isn't in hospital or full of their children. 9/10 we're watching f/f hurt/comfort fanfiction live on ITV.

11. Comforting Hand (9th January 2025)

We're deep in the trenches of this hurt/comfort storyline now, kids. I hope Lisa plans on sitting vigil at Carla's bedside for the rest of their damn lives (yes I'm wearing my clown makeup while I watch this soap). 4/10 because my self-deprecating baby pulled away from the love and support she deserves.

12. Good Luck (13th January 2025)

As far as kisses go, this barely passes the test, but THEY ARE FAMILY. Carla, proper bricking it. Betsy, also bricking it. Good thing Lisa Swain swooped in to wish her wife girlfriend good luck with the most vanilla cheek peck known to man. Someone get them a room and a dialysis machine whirring to drown out all their kids, stat! 5/10 cause I respect the domesticity.

13. "We'll make it happen either way." (17th January 2025)

At the precise moment that Carla Connor's head settled in against Lisa Swain's shoulder and her eyes closed and she smiled that little smile while Lisa declared them a 'we', my heart officially stopped beating and I passed away. Rating this soft head kiss an 8/10 from the grave because (whatever entity you believe is on the other side) agreed with me: that's the Connor-Swain family!

14. "I'm not scared. I'm not." (20th January 2025)

Carla Connor is absolutely not scared. And she absolutely did not inch forward slightly so that Lisa could be the one to decide to hold her and make her feel safe. Absolutely none of that happened. I'm going to forever be soft about all these forehead kisses and collapsing-into-each-other hugs. Rating this a 9/10 for the utter loving, vulnerability of it all. Now, go make sweet love about it!

Is all you could manage out as you look away. She lets out a tsk, tilting your head back to face her.

You let out a sound that was a mix between an embarrassed squeak and a groan of complaint. Jane just giggles happily as she moves her hand down your chest, setting her hand on your waist. You can feel her fingernails grazing your sides, tracing shapes as she picks up the eyeliner pen again. She moves her hand back up to your face, and you swear you feel goosebumps form under her touch. You couldn't help but shiver as she cups your cheek, leaning in close again.

As she begins to do your makeup again, you can't help but focus on the way she bites her lower lip in focus, the way her eyes narrow slightly as she lets out a small huff. Your hand subconsciously moves up to her waist, tightening your grip as you try to steady your breathing.

"Baby, if you enjoy being under me, you can just say so."

Jane stares down at you with this wicked smirk, putting down the eyeliner pen as she moves back slightly, lowering herself so that her lips are mere inches away from yours.

"I quite enjoy the view, if I do say so myself..."

Her voice is low, husky. She licks her lips once more, eyes darting down to yours before she leans in. Her lips press against yours, soft and gentle. But her kiss seems to hold more to it than just love. You can feel the hunger, desperation. You can feel your own claws coming out, digging into her skin. She lets out a soft gasp, hands moving up to tangle into your hair. Her fingers move to scratch at that spot right behind your ears. Your ears perk up, flickering slightly and she giggles.

"Cat thirens are always so sensitive here." she whispers against your lips "It's so fun to toy with them really."

Her kisses grow more selfish, more needy. Her other hand moves down to your chest and you feel yourself growing hotter under her touch.

"Jane- you- you fucking tease." is all you could manage out before letting out a gasp as she moves to press a kiss to your neck.

In retrospect, I should have gotten fitted in-person for a pair of rubber boots. Ordering shoes online is always a crapshoot. The ones I had on were too big, they just collected water like a rain barrel and waterlogged my socks.

“This always happens during the honeymoon phase,” said my friend Dan.

“You won’t want to leave the house. You’ll want to be with her all the time. The modern age enables this. Work from home, order from home, live from home, die from home…” He began to rant about how modernity. He always goes there, and I always tune him out. He married a female cop from the sheriff’s department. She came off gay when I met her. Funny.

I‘ve tried to explain my marital problems to Dan before. I had to leave out a few key details. I told him my wife was depressed, in bed all day, not contributing financially. He said wives “tend to do that” and that I make enough money, anyway. Not quite the issue.

The trouble was harder to explain; I’ve only been married to Liana for six months, and she’s killed and replanted herself seven times.

I trudged up the staircase in the loose boots. The way I carried her, the soil from her body fell before us, laying a trail like rose petals.

Creaking wood drummed up anxiety in my chest. I am not a large man. I usually make but a negligible amount of noise when I move throughout the house. That’s something she commented on when we first moved in. The word she used was unobtrusive. She liked this about me. She said we had that in common. In a lot of ways, we really were alike.

Unlike me, her cells interlocked with tightly-woven cellulose walls. She had organelles not found in over 99% of human beings: chloroplasts. When I first met her, her skin had a milky green hue. The first time I touched her, I balked. She was not hot to the touch like others. Not cold, but not hot. Her breasts, thighs, cheeks… remarkably, they had the tautness of an unripe vegetable.

I laid her down in the bathtub. The plumbing was sensitive, not terrible, but sensitive. An old house. Wood and cobblestone on the outside. Now I know why.

The replanting process is nothing short of a natural miracle. I will be the first to admit, it attracted me to her further. Liana could change herself at will. All it took was a little patience, two days of waiting, a 6 foot deep ditch in the backyard, some sleeping pills and vodka. I didn’t understand the science of it at first. What exactly she needed to do to push out the roots and reform her mass. When I finally found out, I was too embarrassed to admit I didn’t know she had to physically die each time.

She was always shy about the details, embarrassed, like it was some sort of bowel syndrome. I did not press her for details, but as her husband, I should’ve researched the condition. I did eventually. But not before telling her she would look good blonde. Telling her she would look even hotter upping her bra size by a letter or two…

She started to wake up.

First, the rattle. A great exhalation and inhalation. It always took me by surprise. Her facial muscles were always the second thing reanimate. Her nose twitched. Her eyes opened. They looked so dry. Matte. “Liana. This is getting dangerous.”

A couple seconds’ delay. Then, she smiled mawkishly. During this stage of regrowth, her skin is taut and verdant like the day I met her. (I once called her belle pepper as a pet name. She either didn’t get the pun, maybe.) With every hour, she begins to flush to her desired shade. She switches it up from time to time, never too dark or too white for most to notice, but I do. She carries Pantone swatches in her wallet.

She moved her lips, but couldn’t speak yet. I said nothing further. I picked up the detachable showerhead. The gentlest setting. I rinsed her body, avoiding the tender roots that twitched and protruded from the tips of her fingers and toes. I read somewhere that touching them at this stage feels like a pressing on a pinched nerve.

“I know why thish bophers you shoo much,” she gurgled, throat half-asleep. Her mouth was filled with soil and rainwater. It seeped from her firm, bloated lips.

I turned away. Washing her feet. She continued, most of the earth and excess sap that gagged her having dribbled onto her nightie.

“You like me like thish.”

I averted my eyes. I continued to bathe her, and stared at the peel-and-stick mauve tile accent above the tub. I had put it there the previous month to cover a stubborn decomposition stain.

“I like you all the time, Liana.” It felt like someone was slowly lacing my throat shut from the inside.

I didn’t have to look at her to know she was smiling.

“Buh you like… thish.”

The voices and sounds around Anthony began to blur. He'd drunk quite alot already this evening at the grand Smosh get together they threw every couple of months. Tonight was extra special as Smosh had hit a new subscriber record.

The three musketeers, Anthony, Tommy, and Chanse, were the only ones left, as they usually were. They would often go to a cocktail bar until the early morning, but today, Tommy had a different plan. Pretty drunk himself, he led the lads to one of the most iconic gay bars of Hollywood, Micky's. The stately building and beautiful interior were accentuated by the lounge music, loud enough to compliment the atmosphere but low enough so they could hear each other talk.

"Wow, you're taking us to Mickey's you wild boy," Chanse giggled.

"What better way to end the night than with hot guys and even hotter cocktails?!" Tommy greeted the bartender. The guy hugged him and gave him a little wink to boot.

"This is not my first gay bar, by the way!" Anthony lied. Ugh, why did he still have anxiety even when this intoxicated?

"Oh well, then you know the rules! Show your dick and you get a free drink!" Tommy joked. Anthony looked like he was gonna do it though so he quickly added "just kidding BRO! You're obviously new to this kind of bar, bless you. It's just like any bar. But gay!"

"Ahh okay."

Anthony felt a little bit awkward. He loved his fellow musketeers, but he wasn't often around this many gay guys. He felt like people looked at him like he didn't belong here. He honestly didn't - he'd experimented with his sexuality years ago but found that a male body just didn't excite him sexually. A female body, however... so he wasn't gay. At least not sexually..

In the corner opposite Anthony, he saw a big, beautiful drag queen. Her hair silver, her makeup grandiose, and her dress sparkling and green. She wore boots so high that Anthony wasn't sure how she could ever walk in those. Somehow, he felt drawn to her, she looked friendly and exuded a motherly vibe.

Anthony walked up to her and said, "Good day, milady, so what brings a beautiful queen like yourself to a bar? Surely you already have a husband or at least a sugar daddy somewhere to take care of you?" To be honest, those words all blurred and slurred over each other, and he wasn't sure if she'd heard anything he said.

The drag queen laughed a beautiful hearty laugh and answered "why what a blessing to have such a striking young fellow visit here of all places. I feel like I know you from somewhere? My name is Dolly Brightheart, what's yours?"

"Anthony's the name, drinking is the game! At least tonight," he blundered on. Luckily Dolly didn't judge him for his cringey words.

"I am afraid that I am indeed already taken, sweet boy. But tell me, truly, what brings YOU here? You don't strike me as a guy who comes here often?"

"My friends took me here, we're celebrating my - our - youtube channel. It hit 30 million subscribers last month. You know, I started that channel in 2005 with my best friend Ian! Ian Hecox, yeah, he's the more outgoing one of us. But he's not here tonight he has pilates in the morning. Can you believe it? And so Tommy and Chanse took me here, and here I am!"

"Well, that sounds like quite a channel you have built, congratulations! Let me pour you a drink." She poured Anthony a glass of water but he didn't notice and drank it all in one gulp.

"Yeah, I am quite a big deal in the youtube world you know, our channel Smosh is loved by people all around the world! But well, running it as two seventeen year olds, that was pretty hard to do you know? So we sold our channel to this dickhead company, excuse my French! They didn't even pay us with real money but with stock that turned out to be worth zero dollars."

Dolly shook her head slowly. "Those scallywags. So what happened then?"

"Well, Dolly, slowly but surely the company took everything from me. My passion, my time, my best friend... I left Smosh. I lost so many years. But I'm not even mad right now because the story has a happy ending! Wanna know what it is?"

Dolly nodded, smiling to one side of her gorgeous face. Anthony looked around but didn't Tommy and Chanse anywhere. He was having a good time though, so he continued to talk to Dolly.

"So I went on a journey to find myself ya know, I built my own individual youtube channel, it's doing pretty well. And I interview all kinds of people, different sexualities, I also interviewed drag queens as wel! So yeah once I regained my confidence, I was more open to talk to Ian again. We'd not been friends for so many years but Ian, Ian is such a big part of my life.. he is like the sun, you know. He's my other half, professionally speaking. He's extremely like, extremely creative and comes up with these incredible ideas that I'm like?? You're a genius Ian!! And he doesn't even realize how amazing his ideas are. And that's not all. So we reconnected, right? And then Ian asked me if I wanted to buy back smosh, our own company and channel, together! Isn't that amazing?"

"This Ian sounds like a very special person," Dolly said, sipping her own drink.

"He is, he's the most special person in my life..." and then it hit Anthony. Ian WAS the most special to him in his life. Not in a sexual way maybe, but in a romantic way? Possibly?

"And so we did, and that's why we make it a point to celebrate well and often," Anthony said, smiling at Dolly. She smiled back.

"Do you tell him that, darling? That he's that special to you?"

"I try to. I try to.." Anthony slowly blinked. "Dolly, thank you for listening, it's been wonderful but I have to go call a Uber."

He gave an awkward bending-down hug to Dolly but she didn't mind and told him farewell. "Damn, Jon was right all along," Anthony thought to himself.

"Hey, where are you?" - a text message from Tommy.

"I'm heading home, I have pilates in the morning."

"Sure, Jan."

"Shut up."

"Good night."

BIG GIANT POST ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE PLAYING TWEWY!!!!!!

CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!

NO I HAVE NOT PLAYED NEO YET!!!! I AM POOR!!!!! PLEASE DON'T SPOIL ME ON IT!!!!!! I've played some of the demo though!!!!!

I first decided to get into twewy last month. I saw that there was a switch version available, but I was unable to play that version. I did, however, have a ds emulator, but after talking to some people I realized I probably would've gotten arthritis playing it on emulator.

When I was just about ready to give up, I decided to watch the first episode of the anime. I enjoyed it a bit.

I was then told to not watch the anime.

So you may be wondering.. "How did you play twewy?"

I played the mobile version. Solo mix. Yeah that one. The one not available for current gen phones.

I found a link to a modded version on an old reddit thread that was updated for current gen android phones, and one of my friends helped me get it set up, and I was finally ready to play.

During my first few hours, I didn't actually like neku all that much. Honestly, he was a dick. i remember what you said about plushies, neku. i will not forgive this as a plushie enthusiast.

While playing the game, I was under the assumption that I would get to change partners whenever once I unlocked it. Rhyme seemed cool, so I was hoping to get to partner with her.

And then the game killed her off.

Despite not knowing anything about rhyme, she was still my favorite character. Besides beat of course, but that's later during week 3.

I remember that I was crying when I first saw her death. I was all like "why did they make such a cool character design, just to kill her off?? that doesn't make sense."

earlier today I saw a tweet on twitter that said "cute cosplay idea for couples!" and it was a rhyme cosplay and a shark costume and I nearly lost my shit laughing, so I guess I'm over it.

When week 1 was ending, I remember feeling like "wait, that's it?" of course, I was wrong.

anyways week 2 now uhh uhhhhhh-

when I first met joshua and learned that I could scan him I was all like "huh???". also excellent foreshadowing there, square enix!

also JOSHUA IS A FRUIT YOU CANNOT TELL ME THIS PERSON ISN'T GAY JUST LOOK AT HIM

at this point, I didn't really know what to expect anymore. the game broke one of its already established rules, "players can't scan other players" so I had no idea what was coming next anymore.

I was extremely shocked to learn that joshua killed neku during this week, and was even more shocked to learn that it was a misfire (and then I learned it wasn't a misfire but that's in week 3 and we haven't gotten to that yet!)

WEEK THREE!!! BEAT TIME!!!

alright, before I started week 3, I actually didn't like beat all that much. that changed a LOT during week 3. he is now one of my favorite characters.

later that week, I had finally learned joshua was the composer and was actually extremely shocked lol.

oh uh I also got spoiled on how beat and rhyme got hit by a car from ign so uhhhh oops

SHO SOMEHOW GOT HOTTER!!!!

I beat the game. I loved the credits theme (and will rewatch the credits later) and really liked how neku threw off his headphones to symbolize how he won't shut himself off from the world anymore.

10/10 game, really enjoyed playing it!

also there was a scene early on where neku went up to a reaper and said I know what you are and I didn't get to screenshot it :(

Her lips curl in what must be a knowing smile, but Elias looks back down to the papers, frowning to himself as he moves two to a new pile. "And, anyway. I'm so... unfulfilled." he laughed at his own choice of words.

"Sweetie, do you hear yourself?"

"No wonder Cam needed these sorted... this is from 2005." he mumbled. "What, Ange?"

"I know you heard me," she crossed her arms. "Come on, who is this mystery man?"

Elias sucked in a breath, exhaling through his teeth. "No one here," he lied, stretching in his seat. "Well, no one here here. It's someone who runs the museum."

"Do you hear yourself?" she repeated. "You didn't even try with that."

"I am not telling you!" Elias looked at her, shaking his head for emphasis.

"Is it Booth?" There's playfulness in Angela's voice. She knows it not. She would know. But watching Elias's face was fun for her.

"BOOTH!?" Elias yelled, blinking at her. "Booth? Really? Him? No! No way!"

Angela was giggling. "Well, you're awfully defensive."

"No! It is not Booth! Plus he has a crush on someone else." Elias immediately regretted the words, backing up to correct himself, saying that he himself did not have a crush.

"Now you gotta say." Angela sat down, looking at Elias. "This is getting hotter by the minute!"

"Oh my god don't say it like that!" Elias felt his cheeks start to burn from embarrassment. "This is-- you're harassing me. I'll report this."

"I'll stop if you tell me who."

"Angela, please!"

"I can keep guessing, sweetie. There aren't that many eligible bachlors," she looked at Elias once more, eyeing him. "And even less that I think are you're type."

"Wh-huh? You can't tell "my type" from looking at me!" Angela quirked a brow, and Elias sunk back into his seat a little. "Okay. Maybe you can."

"So, should I start listing my guesses or--"

"Hodgins," Elias muttered sinking further into the chair. He hoped Angela would drop it now. He felt like he was caught in the middle of a great big lie.

"Who?" Angela laughed. "I didn't hear you."

"Hodgins..." Elias still mumbled, wishing he could disappear in that moment. "It's Hodgins. I've..." he trailed off, not wanting to talk more.

"Hodgins?" Angela practically yelled it, and Elias tried to shush her. "I knew it! How long?" Elias shook his head, refusing to answer her.

As if Elias's day could get any worse, Hodgins himself walked in, a file in his hands.

"Oh you're kidding me," Elias hissed.

"How long?" Hodgins asked, looking to Angela. "I heard my name. I mean, it took a minute to get these for you Angela, I didn't think it was that long."

"Oh, that wasn't about you. Well, it was," Angela had a smile on her face Elias hated and he was glaring at her. Hodgins looked to Elias who immediately tried to look like he wasn't about to murder Angela.

"Right." Hodgins exhaled, going to explain something Dr. Brennan had found on the latest victim, handing Angela the file. "Is there something I'm missing?"

Elias jumped to talk. "Angela was telling me about a really dumb thing and I said it reminded me of you. And we were joking how long it'd take you to do something similar."

Hodgins gave Elias a confused look, and looked to Angela who, was trying hard to not laugh. She mouthed to Hodgins they'd talk later as Elias shot her a glance swiping his finger over his neck.

Hodgins left the room, with more questions on his mind.

"You cannot tell him!" Elias cried out. "Angela, please. Please. I don't wanna ruin anything."

"He'll find out eventually, Elias. I've seen you staring."

"Okay! Lying! But that's later. Please, Angela. Hodgins is a good friend. I don't wanna ruin anything with him." Elias looked at her, eyes pleading with her. "If I lost my friendship with him because he didn't feel the same, or, it made him feel weird, anything like that I wouldn't know what to do."

"Alright, fine. Okay. I won't tell him. But he's gonna learn on his own sweetie. You don't hide it that well."

"I just... I can't tell him now Ange. Thank you."

"You're welcome. I need to go digitize these..." she flipped the file open quickly. "Oh! It's a bit of a tattoo. This'll be fun. Bye, bye, Elias."

"Bye." Elias inhaled deeply, and once Angela left, he yelled into his hands. He was so utterly fucked.
