i was once again reminded of my love for "tam lin" and when you think about it, miraak/ldb has such potential. janet (ldb) goes to carterhaugh (apocrypha) and plucks a double rose (black book? forbidden knowledge?) and tam lin (miraak), who was stolen away by the fae (hermaeus mora) shows up to say, "hey, what are you doing here without my permission?" maybe ldb gets to hold miraak in their arms as he transforms into all manner of draconic beasts before he becomes a man again. in this essay, i will—
