they did go in a noticeably more serious direction both with the writing and the acting in the blackbeard/izzy scenes and i just hope they'll do the same for stede and ed
#its a romcom so it doesnt have to be that serious but i would like a serious moment between the two before it goes all romcom silly#i am ambivalent about izzy but con o'neil acted his heart out#and taika gave a good performance too#omfd spoilers#our flag means death
