one of the biggest issues i've found whilst engaging in witcher content online is that... i think a lot of game fans pretend to like/care about the books more than they do-- whether that's bc they feel they have to, or because they wish they did, who knows-- forgetting that it's literally fine to just enjoy the games + not the other stuff? like that is okay i promise? i think the witcher 3 is an amazing game, and it's also a very popular game-- it is literally fine if you like it more than the og books?
like u just really don't have to hate-watch stuff + waste all ur energy arguing w/ the ppl who actually enjoy it, especially when the issues u supposedly have with it are usually silly, frivolous things that harm nobody? like there are a lot of shows/books that i wouldn't want to waste a single second of my time on... so i just… don't ??
u see, this may sound crazy to some ppl, but i actually try to watch/read things that i think i'll enjoy, instead of spending all my time arguing in the comment sections/tags/spaces of things that i hate :o
[disclaimer: this does not apply to ppl speaking out against media that is harmful in any way, and nor does it apply to ppl just criticising/giving their opinion on things + then moving on with their lives, but instead those who spend sm time spamming hatred + nastiness in fan spaces, to the point where they seem more obsessed with said media than actual fans themselves]
