Dream in a Dream

There are many humans and many of them are in hiding for being hunters. The supernatural rule the world and humans are trying to take over. A pretty 17 yr old named Yutseli was raised by her hunter parents. She only knew training and was taught supernaturals are disgusting and humans are superior.

    She was so tired of their shit but she had already tried running away and got caught earning a beating for her efforts. She refused to hunt so she basically became a live in maid her parents disowned her. One day after they returned from a hunt a large group of 13 supernaturals burst in. 2 recognized her as the little girl who saved them from the same hunters they now realize are unfortunately her parents. They grab her before setting her house and parents ablaze. What happens when the others learn this is the girl they have been looking for? What will they think when they learn of her abuse by her parents and their fellow hunters? Will she find love in this crazy family or will someone take away her happiness again?

"Go! Hurry before they come back! Go, Minghao! Seokmin before they catch you again!" A 6 year old Yutseli said.

"What about you?" Minghao asked as Seokmin frowned.

"I'll be fine. Promise. Please go if they catch you now I won't be able to help you." She pleaded.

"We won't forget you. We will come back for you I promise." Seokmin vowed.

"Then I will wait till we meet again." She said as they ran off and she made it back to her room.

"You are a disgrace to the hunter name!" The woman shouted at the 16 year old girl.

"Good! I'd rather be that than a hunter! I NEVER wanted to be a hunter! But you guys just won't listen! I want a peaceful life! Not a war filled life where I have to always look over my shoulder!" The girl Yutseli shouted back.

A loud slap echoed in the room.

"You shouldn't speak so disrespectful to your superiors. As of now we have no daughter but a servant. That is all you are and all you will ever be." Said the man who watched as the mother and daughter fought.

5 yrs later .....

"This is all your fault!" The woman screamed at Yutseli slapping her.

How the fuck is a fruitless hunt my fault? I was here cleaning the house as usual. The pretty girl thought.

Before the woman could scream at her more the door was broken down and a group of 13 hybrids (all young men) burst through the door.

The Burmese python hybrid and the cougar hybrid instantly recognizing her. "Yutseli! "

The young woman looked over smiling when she recognized them. "Nice to see you both are well, Minghao. Seokmin."

"These are those first pathetic hybrids you let get away when you were 6!" The man in the corner snarled angrily.

The two hybrids glared at the hunters before marching over and grabbing Yutseli and going back to their pack. They hugged and scented the young woman.

They took her outside as soon as the others tied the hunters up and poured gasoline all over them and the house. As soon as everyone was out of the house a wolf hybrid lit a match and set everything ablaze.

"We told you we'd come back for you." Minghao purred as he and Seokmin scented her aggressively. She giggles since it's the first time she's had affection and she grew to like the cougar and python during their short stay with her and her parents. A gorgeous shoulder length blonde haired man came up to them growling causing them to move and he grabbed her and scented her too. She was very relaxed around the kind hybrids. They had been kinder to her in a few minutes than any human in her whole 21 years of life.

The fox hybrid rumbled happily as she started dozing in his arms causing him to pick her up in a bridal carry as she snuggled into his chest.

"She's adorable!" The tiger called Soonyoung gushed as he watched Yutseli cuddle into Jeonghan's chest.

"It looks like she's been abused by her own parents!" The bear named Vernon growled in anger. They couldn't understand how such a sweet girl could be abused but they never really wanted to understand hunters anyway the biased bastards.

"We'll protect her from now on. She's ours now and we'll make sure she has the best life she could ever have." The pack leader a wolf named Seungcheol declared his eyes had a glint of determination in their depths.

They went to their cars Jeonghan passing the sleeping Yutseli to a happy Mingyu in the back seat who instantly had her straddling his lap as he buckled them up.

As soon as they got home Hoshi and Woozi claimed her and laid her between them on the bed. When she woke up two hours later she was being cuddled by a tiger hybrid and a leopard hybrid. The tiger nuzzled into her neck with a happy purr. She wasn't quite sure what to think. This was quite a bizarre situation. It seemed like it was just an amazing dream but she distinctly remembers how rudely she was woken up by those people. She started playing with the tiger's platinum blonde hair causing him to open one eye. When he realized she was awake he sprung up.

"Hi! How did you sleep?" He asked waking up the leopard Woozi as well. The leopard and Yutseli sat up as the tiger was on his knees bouncing excitedly on the bed.

"It was great. I don't get a whole lot of sleep. Where am I?"

Yutseli asked.

"You're at our mansion! You're new home!" The tiger shouted.

"New home?" She asked.

"We burnt the house you were staying in. You didn't expect us to abandon you to live on your own in the woods did you? From now on you're ours to protect." The leopard said.

"Oh. Well that's unexpected. Can I get your names now?" She asked, expectantly.

"I'm Soonyoung but call me Hoshi and this is Jihoon call him Woozi." The tiger grinned widely causing her to pinch his chubby cheeks and giggle adorably. A black bear lumbered in and flopped on Yutseli's lap. She stared for a moment before realizing he wanted pets. She ran her hands along his fur gently amazed at the softness.

"Vernon!" A voice shouted before a dingo was panting in the doorway. "You can't just abandon me like that! I could have died!"

"Mingyu, stop being so dramatic if Jeonghan-hyung or Joshua-hyung wanted to kill you you'd be dead already. Calm your ass down before you freak Seli out." Woozi snapped.

The days following the invasion of your house, you and your hybrids had to move temporarily to a safe house near the city. It was smaller than your mansion but it was enough for you all to live comfortably. You were confined to the bed for at least 3 months until your worst injuries were okay enough for you to move freely.

The medical team of the center were so busy with you and your family that there was little time for you to talk alone with the boys. You could see that some of them had just gone back to the state you had found them, without trusting humans or really, really frightened. The four boys that weren’t in the house that day also felt the jab, feeling guilty that their brothers had to go through something like that.

Today, there were no doctors in your room. No noise,nothing. You were getting bored and especially worried that you weren't able to see any of the boys yet. Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door.

“Yes? Come in.” You try to sit better in the bed, without much success, while your door is opened. You lifted your eyes and was really surprised to see The8 leading a group of hybrids into the room. “Oh, guys! Do you need something? I haven't seen you in ages, how is everyone? I’m so sorry!” It was hard to not say sorry… They had trusted you and your home but you broke it and put all of them at risk…

“Relax, Y/n. We’re all alive.” Dino was the last to enter the room. He closed the door while you studied the faces of those who surrounded your bed. Jihoon went straight to your side, being careful to not disturb your injuries but still near enough so you could be sure he wasn’t avoiding you. Seungcheol and Mingyu sat near yours foot while Chan and Minghao sat on the armchairs near the bed.

They all had some scratches and small bruises across their faces and arms, except The8, who was with the biggest dark circles under his eyes. There was no hybrid without traces of the traumatic event. You were usually a strong lady but their state made your eyes blurry with tears. You could only whisper again how sorry you were.

“Y/n.” Seungcheol’s voice was stern, making you flinch a little and locking eyes with him. “We do not blame you for what happened. None of us do.” To confirm his words, Jihoon grabbed your not broken hand and gave it a squeeze. You opened your month but the bear hybrid wasn’t finished. “Stop it, I mean it. We can be broken and still quite damaged by it but we know who to blame and who to be grateful to.”

“That doesn’t mean we will just stay quiet and trust everything to your organization again tho.” The8’s tone was one of challenge. He was massaging his temple as his eyes glared at your immobilized leg. “We came here to discuss what we’ll do while you heal from your almost suicide.” Let’s just say that although he still didn’t like you, he was still pissed that you tried to defend the house alone.

“That’s fair, I guess…” JayB had come to you with some of the hybrids’ requests. “From what I heard you guys want to start to train in the center with the strike team, not just hand in hand combat but also guns and other weapons and styles.” Your voice trembled a little. “Guys, I can see why y’all think this is necessary but…”

“But we need to feel secure again, human.” The8’s acid calling made you low your eyes in shame. You had failed in keeping them safe and now they were right in wanting to learn how to defend themselves.

“Easy, Minghao.” Mingyu kicked his friend. “What we’re saying, Y/n, is that we don’t want to feel as helpless as this time. We want to help you and be able to defend what is important to us, just like you do.” The marine hybrid smiled at you. “We want your help and permission to protect our family when you can’t or when you need help, because you’re still just a person, Y/n, you’re not invincible.”

“I… I get it, Mingyu…” You sighed to regulate your own emotions about the subject. “Ok… What did you guys think?”

“The domestic hybrids are terrified to be alone without training, so we thought about creating teams. Each one would have at least one wild hybrid, so we can do something even with instincts alone. As the training goes, we can do rounds in the house, so we are certain about all of our security systems.” Jihoon explained to you.

“Besides, we can adapt these teams and our training schedule to better adjust our natural abilities and preferences.” Dino completed. “We need you to help us with practical strategy, Y/n. We have little experience in real life combat as a group and…” His voice disappeared as he blushed.

“And we want to show how we still love you, Y/n, and how we don’t blame you but want to become strong for you.” Seungcheol smiled as he rested a hand on your good leg.

Your tired and defeated sigh didn’t escape the hybrids’ ears. They knew why you were so against them learning how to deal with real guns. This big family wasn’t easy to be formed and most of them had even harder pasts with weapons and violence. Even The8 understood and agreed that in an ideal world, none of his new brothers would ever have to pick up any gun.

But… The wild hybrids had come to you right after talking with the others and they knew how truly terrified all 13 of them were when their home was wrecked and you were in dire danger without any of them being actually capable of doing something to help. These days without your constant presence permitted them to think and discuss a lot.

“I understand.” Your voice just proved to the five boys that their initiative of taking the lead and becoming stronger with their brothers was the right decision. They would finally stop being victims of destiny and would face the world with an open chest. “I’ll talk with Youngjae to run some tests and we can plan your training.”

“Thank you, Y/n.” Jihoon squeezed your hand again, before opening a big smile. “Now, can we cuddle a bit?” The Lynx hybrid was so cute you had to laugh.

Scrambling up a large oak tree you settled yourself a few branches up and sat in the fork watching out. Tucking your paws underneath you, you let everything sink in. The pack now knows you are in fact not one-hundred percent human. You ran away from Hansol when he didn’t know any better. Irritated with yourself, your tail bristled and swished back and forth. In all honesty you hated the moon. Moon be damned for making you act like a loon and want to hide when it was full. 

Hearing a howl close to your tree made your claws extend and grip the bark of the tree. The howl was received by another farther away. Ears swiveling around you heard the faint crackle of fallen leaves and turned your head in that direction. Watching as a large brown wolf emerged from the brush you shrunk yourself down, mentally you were scolding yourself, you knew this wolf and loved him. So why were you so afraid? You watched as the wolf sniffed the forest floor before looking at your tree directly at you. 

Stalking up to the tree the wolf, or better known to you your boyfriend, stood on his back paws and rested his front ones on the tree. A whine ripped from his throat and it made you want to crawl from your spot to him. Slowly retracting your claws from the bark, you inched your way to look down the snout of the large beast. On his hind legs Hansol was almost tall enough to reach your branch. Lifting a paw you gently placed it on Hansol’s wet nose before letting out a loud purr.

Hansol stilled when he saw the black cat lift a paw before gently placing it on his nose. The purr that rumbled in him when he heard your own purr warmed his heart. The next clue that gave away that it was you was the necklace that was still wrapped around your neck. Slowly lowering himself from the tree he sat at the base of it looking up at you. 

Slowly and trying to fight against the feline in you that wanted to hide, you jumped down landing silently next to the large wolf. Finally, being this way with him and knowing you didn’t have to hide you purred before weaving yourself between his large forelimbs rubbing against them and his chest. His heart felt ready to burst at the display of affection before he dipped his head down and bumped it against your own. 

You sly little... I’m going to get you. Hansol growled as he caught onto the game you were playing before letting out a howl. The chase was on. Seeing the clearing to the cabin he started sprinting so that he could pick you up as he came out of shifting and hold you in his arms. Feeling his bones and joints pop he leaned down a little more so that he would be able to scoop you up. 

Turning you smacked his nose with the tip of your tail before stalking away back to the cabin. When you didn’t hear him coming you turned and looked at him before meowing at him which seemed to get his attention. The wolf like smile that you received had you meowing again as you picked up the pace to get home.

When you noticed that he was finally coming along you decided it would be the perfect time to tease him. Looking at him you made sure he saw your eyes before you darted off away from the house and into a bush a few feet away. You could hear the confused huff before you leaped out of the bush and onto him startling your boyfriend. Quickly you ran off again before he could figure out what was happening. Sliding into a bush you turned and watched him as he scanned the brush in front of him and looked for your scent. Catching a whiff his eyes locked on yours before you darted out onto his back again and then running home. You felt giddy when you heard the slight growl from behind you spurring you on home.

Yowling you twisted frantically in the arms of who was holding you until you breathed in the soothing pine scent. Meeting the brown eyes of your lover you bumped your head into his cheek purring loudly as he walked with you to the cabin. “C’mon Kitten let’s go see the others,” Hansol said running a hand down your back. Twisting around you saw twelve members sitting on the porch waiting for the both of you. 

Joshua looked to Hansol as he raised a hand to you, and didn’t continue until he got a nod from your mate. Noticing the hand out stretched to you, you couldn’t help the instinct to bump your head into it. Joshua scratched behind your ears before dropping his hand below your chin. The purrs that were rumbling lowly before increased in volume at the attention you were being given. The sight made the wolf in Hansol growl, but the human felt adoration for you being comfortable enough with his pack like this, even if the circumstances weren’t completely your choice. 

“Looks like you found her,” Seungcheol said as Hansol approached the porch.

Nodding to the alpha of the pack he responded, “Yeah it didn’t take too long.” 

“Are you okay (Y/N)?” Joshua asked coming to stand in front of you looking at your small form. Moving from your spot in Hansol’s arms you moved behind his head to stand on both shoulders and rubbed your head against his neck and head trying to coat him in your scent.

“I think she's okay?” Hansol said, as his head was being nudged by your antics.

“Mraoow,” you smacked his face with your tail. 

“Scratch that, she’s fine,” Hansol glared at you playfully knowing that if you could smirk right now you definitely would be sporting one.  

Many of the guys still watched with wide eyes, more specifically Chan. They knew you were different they just had no idea it was this different. Chan honestly looked like a kid on Christmas as he looked at your small form. “(Y/N) can I pet you?” he asked looking at Hansol and then back at you. Glancing once at Hansol you jumped from your place on his shoulder before trotting to the younger boy. You were so relieved that you weren’t being rejected that you couldn’t stop your tail from swaying slightly in the air as you made your way to Chan. He was a little taken aback when you climbed right into his lap and twisted around before laying down. Glancing once more at Hansol he set his hand down on your back feeling your purr reverberate through your rib cage. 

Hansol watched the interaction with a soft smile on his lips. At some point you had closed your eyes while Chan rubbed your back. Blinking your eyes open you scanned the people in front of you before your bright eyes met a pair of dark ones flecked with gold. Stretching, you walked back to your boyfriend and sat in front of him. Tapping one paw in front of you waited. Please Sol pick me up, you thought as you looked at the confusion on his face. Hansol looked at Joshua before looking back down at you. Do I have to be more obvious? you thought standing up on your back paws and reaching up to Hansol. A silent ‘oh’ fell from his lips as realization flitted behind his eyes before he broke into a smile picking you up. If you could squeal you would have, your boyfriend’s reaction was too cute. 

“(Y/N) that was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen,” Jun laughed, while some others were trying to muffle theirs. Pupils turning to slits your head turned to look at him and hiss. Jun startled at the fact that your pupils were practically non-existent, but the others laughed at his reaction. 

“Cat got your tongue Jun?” Mingyu laughed giving him a light shove. 

“Oh, shut up.” 

“Well I think we might call it for the night,” Hansol said, looking at you and then the others. Goodnights were heard before you were being carried through the house to Hansol’s room.

Closing the door behind both of you Hansol set you down on the bed. Stripping off his shirt and shorts he moved to his side of the bed. With an arm behind his head he looked up at the ceiling and thought about the events that occurred that evening. Padding up to him, you stepped onto his stomach before sitting on his chest and leaning over so that you filled his line of vision. Placing a hand on your back he asked, “Were you ever going to tell me?” Hansol sighed, when he realized that you couldn’t actually respond. “I’m not mad I promise. I just wish that you would have felt comfortable enough to tell me,” his voice carried a whine in it.

His words hurt your already guilty heart and caused you to flatten your ears against your skull and put a paw on his mouth to keep him from continuing. Looking up Hansol saw the green blue tapetum lucidum reflecting in your eyes and fell silent as you removed your black paw. Hansol watched with slightly wide eyes as you leaned down to his face. Blinking he felt something rough on his nose. You just licked his nose. A purr started deep in his chest as you continued licking various places on his face. Stopping the small kitten licks to his face you stepped onto the pillow by Hansol’s head and curled up in the crook of his neck. “Good night (Y/N),” Hansol murmured before letting sleep take him.

Over the course of the next few days the boys learned many new things about the cat version of you. You spent time laying in the sun with Jeonghan napping, and it helped that all of the pack members ran at a slightly higher temperature so really anyone was a perfect napping partner. Wonwoo would read on the couch and you would read over his shoulder, or he would read out loud to you. There were plenty of times they tried seeing which cat like things you would do, like chasing a light around or what you might knock off the counters. You tried resisting that damn light but it was the light you had to get it, and you were going to smack Seokmin and Soonyoung for coming up with the idea. A lot of the times you would chase or be chased in the clearing and forest area with the pack in their wolf forms. Joshua was proud of himself for snapping a picture of you and Hansol touching noses when he was a wolf, it was cute seeing a large beast being so gentle with a black house cat.

Hansol fell asleep with you on the third night with you sleeping by his side. Shifting in his sleep he turned reaching a hand out to run his hand over your furry body, only to stop when he felt skin. He was wide awake now and glanced at your human body, you very naked human body. Heat quickly rushed to his cheeks as he took you in fully curled up next to him. Fighting against the more primal instinct in him he settled for brushing your hair out of your face and gently kissing your forehead. Humming at the feeling your eyes fluttered open seeing your boyfriend’s loving gaze on you.

Breathing out you looked away before meeting his eyes. “When you told me what you were, I was afraid you would reject me for what I am. I’m not a werewolf and I’m definitely not human. I thought that if you knew I was a cat that you would stop loving me,” tears started forming in your eyes as you finally vocalized your irrational fear. Feeling the distress coming from you he rubbed his thumb gently under your eyes. 

“I would never run from you ever. I knew the minute I saw you you were my mate. We were destined to be together,” Hansol whispered placing a gentle kisses on your neck.

Sucking in a breath at his words you tested the way it sounded for yourself, “Mates. We are mates?”

Stopping he pulled away to look at you, “I didn’t tell you right away because you seemed so hesitant before, and now I finally know why.” He stared at you for a few seconds before continuing, “If you would allow me, I’d like to mate with you properly.”

Smiling you nodded, “I want to be your mate. I want you to be my mate.” 

Restraining the wolf that wanted to ravage you completely he gently settled himself above your body and kissed you slowly. He used this moment to memorize the curves of your body and he gently trailed one hand over your skin. Sliding on your tank top and a pair of night shorts you exited the bedroom and made your way to the kitchen. Feeling a pair of arms snake around your waist and a deep purr you couldn’t help but respond with your own. “You my dear, are glowing this morning,” Hansol hummed kissing the mark on your shoulder. Twisting in his arms you looked at his bare upper body letting out a pleased hum as you ran your fingers over the marks you left.

Seokmin and Chan were entering the kitchen when they stopped noticing the fresh marks that adorned both your skin. “Oh my God... You did it!” Chan said giddy before Seokmin smacked the young boy on the back of the head and dragging him out of the kitchen.

You couldn’t help but giggle at what just happened while Hansol’s face took on a red hue. You opened the back door before leading Hansol back to the bedroom. In the bedroom you stripped your tank top and shorts off. “Little excited aren’t we?” Hansol teased. 

“Hush you,” you shot him a playful glare before shifting into a black cat. Following your lead, Hansol removed his clothes and allowed himself to become the russet timber wolf following you out the door.

Chan and Seokmin couldn’t stay quiet about the news so everyone knew, and now twelve members looked out at the two sleeping figures curled up next to each other in the early morning sun. “Well, it’s about time they actually mated,” Jihoon said, getting up to give them some privacy and the others following his lead.

You knew that day was weird as soon as you woke up to half of your hybrids staring at you. S. Coups, Jun, Woozi, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon were distributed around the room with their eyes trained on you, not missing a single movement. It was a little creepy to be honest. But you’re especially suspicious of them when you start to get up and all of them approach your bed too quickly for them to be innocent.

“What did you guys do?” You moaned as at least three of those huge beings decided it was a good idea to jump and bury you back in bed.

“What do you mean!?” Jun whined while he rubbed his cheeks on your side. “Did you forget what day it is today?”

“Hm… no? I’m almost sure I’m not forgetting any important dates, I have your birthdays on alarm.” You were so distracted by Wonwoo and Seungcheol snuggling on your side and stomach that you missed the look the other hybrids exchanged. Their hearts were warm with your care but they weren’t that happy that you didn’t know what was happening.

It took almost thirty minutes for you to be able to get up and to freshen up. The boys escorted you to the kitchen, where you found the rest of the hybrids running around and cooking. There wasn’t much chaos, Jeonghan and Joshua had the younger ones under control and everyone was doing their best in what seemed to be a serious and important mission.

“Morning, what’s the banquet for?” You joked as you counted the number of plates they were just getting ready at the dinner table. The words made everyone stop and stare at you with incredulous eyes. Even The8, who had stopped looking at you like you’re stupid all the time, was frozen and seemed to doubt his own ears.

“I can’t believe it.” One of them said, the ones behind you started to laugh. They refused to tell you what was happening after they accepted you had forgotten whatever it was.

“Well, today will be interesting…” Seungkwan also laughed as he sat at the dinner table. Most of the boys followed, also grinning. Hoshi was soon next to you and guided you to your chair at the head of the table.

“So, really? No one is going to tell me what is happening?” You love your boys, of course, but they were starting to annoy you. Especially since you had a not so great night of sleep previous to that. DK whined with your slightly harder tone but before any could react, your phone rang. Your brows furrowed when you saw who the caller was. “I have to take it. I’ll try to be quick so we can eat together.”

You smiled at them and went to another room, not forgetting to caress Dokyeom’s head as you passed by him. Thanks to the urge of your phone, you failed once again to notice the telepathy exchange between the hybrids with their eyes. It looked like they all understood some secret message in those 2 seconds you took to leave the room.

The story of the person on the other side of the call made you freeze, forgetting completely about the secrecy of your roommates. You were trembling a little while you rushed around the living room after your wallet and keys, not even noticing the art supplies on the sofa.

“What happened, Y/n? Where are you going?” Seungcheol asked you and all the others were behind him, probably also wanting the same answers.

“There’s a scarlet case. The team is needed as soon as possible.” You responded as you put on your coat. “Jun can explain it in more detail… But I need to go now, I'll be back as soon as all of this is resolved, ok?” Kissing Coups’ cheek and waving the others goodbye, you ran to your car and were soon out of view. The hybrids were silent for a minute before all the eyes were on Jun. The poor feline hybrid scratched his head and sighed.

“A scarlet case is like when Coups-hyung found her…” The other 12 hybrids haven’t heard this term before, Junhui himself only heard it by accident when he was trying to smell your scent in your office when you had disappeared and JayB was talking on the phone outside the door. “When a member of the organization is in life danger and more drastic actions have to happen.”

This simple explanation was enough to make all the boys worry about your situation. They were starting to cancel all their plans for the special day and some were even already cleaning up all the traces of any party. Seungcheol, Jihoon and Soonyoung exchanged looks and nods before stepping up to their somewhat natural roles in the family.

It was really late when you came back, like around 10 p.m. late. As soon as you opened the door, you could feel the anxiety coming from the boys, who had crowded the entrance hall. Smiling at them, you reassured all that you were fine and the case was a success. You just needed a bath and were ready to give them all your attention, glad that the day after was a day off.

“No time for bath, Y/n! We need you quickly here!” BooSeokSoon didn’t even let you protest that you were still smelling blood before dragging you to your dining room. You tried to call the others, maybe the more rational ones like Woozi or Wonwoo to help you but none of the other hybrids met your desperate and curious eyes.

Joshua came from behind, taking advantage of your arms being locked in the dog hybrids, and blocked your eyes with his hands. Your instincts, still tense because of the case, tried to kick in but the hybrids had got much stronger than you in those months with gym access. Just as you were going to tell them to cut it, they freed you completely.

“Happy Birthday!” All of the 13 hybrids congratulated you with loud voices. Even the still kinda standoffish The8! You took all of it in silence, looked around the room, seeing their efforts in the decorations and the food still hot on the table. “Y/n?” Vernon took a step closer to you, worried about your lack of response. They all were… The day hasn't gone the way they had planned and none of them really knew how to celebrate a birthday… They were scared you hated all of it.

“I… Thank you, guys. I loved it.” Your eyes were full of tears as you made the point of looking every single one in their eyes. “I really loved it. Thank you.” The last time you had received such care on such a day, which means more than a ‘happy birthday’ whispered during missions, was before your parents were gone.

You hugged all of them and couldn’t stop to thank them. Yes, even Minghao accepted your hug with a little pat on your back before taking two steps to separate and go out of your reach. Your new family sat around the table, everyone more than happy and warm.

Your tears ran down your face while the smile you had on became more and more bright, knowing that while you helped them with their trauma, they were also healing you. You blew your candles seconds before midnight.

“You said you can control the heat,” you hummed, arching your back up a little into his touch. “so, please?”

Sharp teeth poked out as he bit down on his lip, so ensnared in your gaze. You watched as he leaned down, his lips pressing to the curve of your waist and trailing kissing up along your ribs. Your breaths grew heavy at the feeling and anticipation. 

You caught the glint in his eyes as he breathed in deeply before breathing out fire across your stomach. You gasped at the hot feeling that ran across your skin and squirmed as you felt two fingers pressed to your clit, moving in slow circles. Minghao gazed at you, a little nervous until he caught sight of your heated gaze.
