Inure - Ch. 3
SAVED WORK
Summary: To some, The Specter is a serial killer. To some, a hero. But to everyone, you were entirely a mystery. You had no history, just a list of victims a mile long. No matter how many people searched your name, they could find anything. If only they had the spelling right. Now, youâve come across some unfortunate information that drives you out of your usual shadows and into the path of the Avengers. Including two of the more reclusive members of the team. And itâs hard to pick only one of them.
***
You had finally showed up on the doorstep of a long awaited target. You had gotten the tip from a morally questionable FBI agent who really needed a break. Apparently, this target had been leading quite the operation.
Managing drug rings, human trafficking, and murder. Not to mention the amount of people she had killed on her own. Even that sounded like your usual case. A major criminal who you got to take out. Just your average job. Until you looked into her a bit more.
She didnât just murder. She tortured. All of her victims had gone through days of torture, maybe even weeks. Apparently, even forensics investigators werenât sure exactly how long these people had to suffer. It made you sick.
âViolet.â You said, rounding the corner. Unlike most of your targets, she had an office of her own. You had caught her at work late, one of the last people there. You didnât mind people being in the building. There wouldnât be any gunshots to hear. Maybe a scream or two.
âYes? Can I help you?â You walked into the room. It was neatly decorated. The token and artifacts around the room were no doubt extremely expensive and probably stolen. Her accent stood out. It was heavy, though her words were still clear. She was certainly European, though you couldnât remember what country and couldnât place it from sound alone. âI have things to do so if you wouldnât mind hurrying?â You walked a bit quicker, trying to avoid her yelling. You didnât want her making that much noise just yet, it might attract unwanted attention.
You stepped into her office, walking toward her desk. The room smelled like lavender, a candle or two rested on side tables around the room. The smell was heavy, almost nauseating.
âWhat sort of outfit is that supposed to be? Are you one dressing up?â She gestured to your suit. It was less fancy than most suits youâd seen. Black with a few red accents. It made it easier to blend in and the hood and mask over your mouth helped keep your identity secret. There was a small filter on the side of the mask though, to help you breathe and disguise your voice when you spoke. Not that anyone would recognise you. In fact, you didnât care much about people knowing your name, but if your face was plastered everywhere youâd never be able to be in public again.
âThatâs not important. What is important is you, Ms. Wagner.â You said, your eyes focused on her. Your eyes were clear under the hood as you looked up at her. You were calm. Youâd done jobs like this a million times, she wasnât special. Though, you always appreciated time to exercise your powers. They were destructive and dangerous, so you only used them on the worst of the worst. Those people got locked up in a prison or mental institution, but as long as you were alive, they couldnât be helped.
âWhat the hell do you want? Say it quick then get out.â She was short tempered, that was for sure.
âAlright then. You used to work for Hydra, then you got too much for them to handle. You torture and kill, you did this in your old home too. And now, youâve moved countries to start all over. Not to mention the drug rings youâre tied to,â You said, your voice calm and steady. That was always the most terrifying part for them. You were so collected, sure of yourself. You knew they werenât going anywhere. And the second they heard your mellow voice, they knew it too.
âWho the fuck do you think you are?! Accusing me of things like that.â She remarked, standing from the large leather chair she sat on. She was clearly nervous though, the slight shake in her voice gave it away. âGet the hell out. Now.â She pointed toward the door. You didnât move. âI said now. Canât you hear, bitch?â She said, this time crossing her arms. âIâll call security.â She said. It wasnât an empty threat, you could tell, but you werenât worried.
They wouldnât get here in time anyway.
You focused on her. Her mind. What she was thinking, what she felt, anything about her. Then you heard it.
âWho does she think she is? March in here like she owns the place. Pathetic.â
Her thoughts. You focused harder. This time on her fears. Everything she regretted, everything she hated, things she was scared of. You found every last one of the monsters in her closet. And then you made them real.
She looked left and right, probably hallucinating something awful. You could never completely see what you created, unless it was an illusion, but you could usually guess what was happening based on what they said.
âMother?â She asked. She was only staring at a wall, a painting of flowers hung on it along with other paintings she had collected. The look on her face was horrified. You wondered what the story was there.
It was an ability youâd had since you were young, though it was much weaker before you âdiedâ. Now, it was one of your most useful skills.
âStop! Dear god, stop, please. Fuck. Please!â She said. There were tears forming in her eyes already and her voice was cracking. She looked up at you. âYou! What did you do to me? What the hell did you do?!â She continued yelling at you but eventually her words became jumbled, the occasional scream cutting in. Sheâd glance from side to side occasionally before squeezing her eyes shut and looking down. They always acted like that. Strong, determined to stop you, then reduced to nothing but mumbling husks.
You focused on yourself now, this time disguising yourself with an illusion. Another woman walked into the office. Her skirt was short, though professional and you could see a red collared sweater tied around her hips. Youâd left the door half open, her screams could be heard down the hallway, so it wasnât a huge surprise to see someone else come in.
âMiss Wagner?â The woman said. She looked like a college intern, twenty years old at maximum. âOh my god.â She walked toward the desk until she spotted the broken woman. Violetâs artificial tan didnât help how pale her face had become. Her legs had given out and now her arms were struggling to support her as she sat on the ground, tears running down her face. She was mumbling things about her mother, father, and âthe childrenâ, which you suspected were the ones she tortured. Hm. Maybe she did feel some guilt about that. Sheâd glance back to where you stood. You made sure she could see you, though the intern was oblivious to your presence.
âMiss Wagner? Miss Wagner? Are you alright?â The girl asked, clearly unsure what to do. Violet didnât respond. She continued staring down at the floor, mumbling and sweating. âViolet?â The girl tried using the womanâs first name instead. She flinched back like she was expecting some huge outburst. Her employees must be treated poorly as well.
âI-IâŠâ the girl paused. It seemed like she didnât want to help the crying woman on the floor. You figured Violet wasnât a very nice boss. The girl shook her head a bit, standing up. She took a deep breath before speaking with confidence, âIâm going to call an ambulance. Iâll be back, I promise.â She ran off, back to her desk presumably to make the call. You nodded, appreciating her morals to do the right thing for an awful person. Sadly, you didnât live by the same rules. You could hear her talking to someone as you made your way over to Violet.
âAwe, darling.â You lifted up her chin with your fingers. You met her eyes. They were filled with pure terror and they kept glancing over your shoulder. You laughed at her. The ways her eyes seemed unable to focus and how clammy her face felt.
âPleaseâŠâ She started. âI canât live like this, at least kill me. I understand. Iâve learned. Is that what you want? Learning?â You shook your head. Of course she tries now. Now that youâre torturing her like she once did to others and now she wants to âlearn her lessonâ?
âNo. Thatâs not what I want. I want you to rot somewhere. And maybe someone out there, someone much nicer than me, will take pity. And kill you.â Your hand left her chin and she was left, crying out for as long as the strain in her voice would let her.
***
The next few days consisted of mostly theorizing with the team. Besides that, you and Loki had your own two person âbook clubâ and you learned about some new weapons with Bucky. He had an appreciation for the development in weaponry over the past decades and you didnât mind learning with him. It also turned out the two of them were friends, so the three of you sometimes had lunch together, though you preferred having one on one time with either of them.
The rest of the team was anxious to find the new SPECTR machine as soon as possible and get you out of their house, not that you could blame them. A very small part of you didnât want it to end that quickly though. You hadnât had a real home since the 40âs and before you died you spent all your time in a military camp or in a science lab. That, and you had real friends, well, as close to âreal friendsâ as youâd had in decades. Of course, it helped that they were both extremely attractive, but hey. No one could blame you for that train of thought.
Most of the team still wasnât happy to have you with them. Though it felt bad to be on the outside, you were used to it. If you had it your way, you never wouldâve come there at all, but there were lives on the line and you really needed immunity.
âEverything alright?â Bucky asked as he adjusted the tape over his hands. The two of you had tried out sparing since you could take one hell of a hit so he was free to use his metal arm on you. He had even consented to letting you study it for an hour or two. The two of you got along well and both he and Loki had moved up from the position of ânot-enemyâ to âassociateâ, though it wasnât much of a leap. You were hardly ready to trust them, it had only been a few days.
âJust fine. Whenever youâre ready, Barnes.â You said, tossing aside your sweatshirt as you stood across from Bucky. You readied your stance and waited for him to say the word.
âGo.â You took a step forward but Bucky rushed toward you, taking a swing with his metal arm. You knew he appreciated an opponent who could take a hit from a weapon like that, though it took some convincing for him to go all out. You were certain he still wasnât using 100% of his strength, but it was a start. You ducked, sliding next to him before getting up on one knee and taking a jab at his leg. He stumbled a bit, but stayed standing. Although it wasnât as effective as you hoped, it gave you time to stand without interruption.
The second he turned to face you, you punched him in the chest, sending him back a bit. He stepped forward and swung his leg into your side, making you stumble too. You kept your hand out to help you balance. You lowered yourself and swiped under his legs. He tripped, but caught himself with his flesh arm. You stood up, jumping back.
He stood again, rushing toward you, metal fist raised. You caught his punch and you could feel the sting against your hand. You were definitely going to have a bruise or two after this. You threw his hand aside, setting him off balance and kicked into his side. He landed on his stomach with a small thud and you kept your foot against his back and kneeled down, arm held against the back of his neck.
âNot bad.â He said, you stood and helped him up.
âSame to you.â You nodded as a small sign of respect. âIâm going to take a shower, Iâll need it before the rest of your group calls some sort of meeting.â You rolled your eyes and Bucky nodded. You could tell he didnât really like you making fun of his âteamâ, but he never said much. It made you feel a bit bad, but on the other hand, the do-gooders were about as annoying as it gets.
The elevator felt slower than normal, though it was probably just the uncomfortable feeling of sweat on your skin. You stepped out onto your floor. You shared it with Clint and Natasha, probably so they could keep an eye on you. You didnât mind too much, Clint wasnât too bad and you had a certain amount of respect for Natasha. She used to have a similar career to you after all. Sheâd made her way onto your radar for a while, though there were bigger fish to fry and SHIELD was already on her tail. Still, youâd much rather be alone.
You were about to open the door leading to your room when you sensed something was off. Your abilities were helpful in your line of work. Sensing other people had become a skill of yours and right now, something was wrong.
You were on high alert, though you knew it was probably just a team member. You opened the door slowly, prepared to fight if need be. Instead, Natasha sat on your couch, cleaning some of her guns.
The weapons didnât bother you too much. They were all disassembled for cleaning, the magazines sitting on the table, completely empty. You were sure sheâd done that part on purpose, just so youâd know she wasnât here for a fight, but sheâd fight back if need be.
You walked often to your makeshift kitchen and pulled out a bottle of vodka. Whiskey was more your thing, but youâd make do with what you had. You poured a full glass, not caring much for how you were âsupposedâ to pour it, Natasha was silent the whole time, waiting for you to come over to her.
You moved toward the couch and sat next to her, waiting for her to talk.
âGood to see you again.â She said, not looking away from her weapons. You smiled, taking a large sip of your drink. It burned a bit in your throat, though it wasnât anything new.
âIâm glad you cleaned up your act.â You said, not offering her any greeting. You could see her smile.
âWhy did you let me go that day?â She asked, this time looking up at you. She looked genuinely curious. She didnât waste any time getting to the point, huh?
âYou were finally on the right path. After spending so long killing who you were told to, Clint got you where you were supposed to be.â
She shook her head, not quite understanding. âI was about to kill him. That target, I was going to kill him, I did kill him, and you walked away and left him with me. Why.â
You relaxed against the couch, realizing your shower would have to wait a little longer. âHe deserved it. SHIELD was right to send you after him, his death saved lives. I was just making sure you were staying on task. And staying on the right side of the tracks. So to speak.â You took another long sip, hoping youâd feel the effects sooner rather than later.
âYou were watching me?â She asked. You were a bit surprised. Natasha was a talented assassin, someone capable and good at protecting herself. Though you doubted that she would know it was you, you did think sheâd figure out that someone was watching her. It gave you a small confidence boost.
âI watch a lot of people, Natasha. I like making sure that people in powerful positions really want whatâs best for society. Sometimes, they become a target.â You took another gulp of your drink, slightly anxious to finish it as quickly as possible. âLike that Stark.â Natasha began putting a few of her guns back together and into a small black bag next to her.
âStark was a target?â
You shook your head. âNo, but he was on my watch list. His dad wasnât my favorite guy and for a while he made some rather destructive weapons. I had to make sure he wouldnât turn into some power-crazed nut job.â
Natasha laughed a bit, âYeah, pretty sure he did that anyway.â You laughed. Making fun of a Stark was something you did with Peggy. It felt familiar. Sitting down with âthe other woman on the teamâ and having a chat about your friends. Familiar, but not the same.
âTell me, if I hadnât been doing the right thing, if I had let him go or left him alive, would you have killed me?â You didnât pause, you knew your answer.
âWithout a second thought.â You took another sip, this one longer than your previous ones. Natasha nodded, understanding. Of all the people in the tower, she was probably the one who would understand most.
She finished up cleaning another gun before Fridayâs voice was heard in your room. Great.
âSpectr, Miss Romanoff, youâre wanted in the meeting room. Thereâs been a robbery.â
You downed the rest of your drink, ignoring the burn in your throat. Natasha gave you a slight side glance, probably worried for your health. Not that it was a real concern for you anymore.
âUh⊠do you guys usually answer robberies?â You asked, setting down the glass. Natasha grabbed her bag, bringing it with her out of the room.
âNo, thereâs something else to this.â You nodded, accepting her answer. You internally groaned at the feeling of sweat still on you. At this point, youâd even settle for a five minute shower. You ran to your room quickly, pulling off the tank top you were wearing and grabbing a t-shirt. At least you wouldnât have to wear a soaked shirt. It was just you and Natasha in the elevator in silence. It wasnât awkward, but it wasnât a situation you wanted to be in.
The room was almost completely full, though Wanda and Vision were right behind you. You took a seat toward the end of the table next to Steve. You were sure they put you there just in case someone needed to knock you out in a worst case scenario, though you didnât care.
Steve set down a few papers just as Wanda sat down.
âAlright, everyoneâs here.â He pulled his seat closer to the table. âThere was a robbery earlier today.â
âWhat, did some kid swipe a candy bar? How is this our problem.â Tony asked. He was wearing sunglasses despite being indoors. Though the normal assumption would be that he just came inside, you somehow doubted that.
âNot exactly. The focus is what was stolen. It was at a nearby museum, the owners themselves werenât sure what it was since it didnât have any sort of identification. Just that it was World War II memorabilia.â
âOh I see, someone took your old helmet?â Tony said, interrupting again. Your eyes narrowed. You were getting annoyed with his constant comments, though the rest of the group seemed unbothered. That, or they had grown used to his obnoxious personality. You saw Lokiâs face shift though, so he was probably feeling similar emotions to yours.
âThe owners said it was part of an unfinished project, we think it might be a piece of Project SPECTR.â A few eyes turned toward you, including Steveâs. âDo you recognize this?â He asked, setting a photo down in front of you. It was most certainly a piece of your machinery.
âItâs what we used to stabilize our core. I built it forever ago just tinkering with supplies, no blueprints. Itâs one of a kind. I doubt I could remake it myself.â
âWell, that explains why it was robbed.â Natasha said, just loud enough for the few people around her to hear. You were seated next to Loki on the end of the table. Bucky was across from you and avoiding your eye-contact, which is what he usually did during meetings.
âSo, what now?â A man asked. You now knew him as Sam, or âThe Falconâ, the other bird-themed hero.
âWe find anything else we can.â You said, choosing to look at Steve. It felt odd talking to a room, so you tried to focus on one person instead. You were used to creating plans by yourself, not brainstorming with a group. âI left plenty of materials and blueprints behind. I never got a chance to examine why it malfunctioned, but Iâm sure a good percent of the original machine is usable.â
âSo, where is it?â Clint asked, contributing to the discussion.
âWell, itâs been almost 70 years so I have no idea. Didnât have a reason to keep track of all that junk.â Steve nodded, though some of the group sighed out loud.
âLetâs check the site and see what else turns up. We hardly need the whole group for this, though.â
***
Steve had sent a group of only a few people. Natasha, who was acting as the temporary leader. Loki, who could use magic to help track down people with any evidence left behind. Steve had been against sending Loki since he was technically still confined to the compound with the exception of missions. Natasha however argued that this was a mission and that Loki would be a useful team member. Of course, she was right, so he was along with the group.
He had also sent Clint and Bucky along, more to act as guards while you, Loki, and Nat looked around the area. The police had done their job and found any evidence left behind, though Loki was trying to use magic to find anything else. So far, no luck.
The group of you were talking to one of Furyâs remaining agents at the site. SHIELD may have disbanded, but Fury still had quite a few people on his side. Some of which apparently still helped him out now and then. It was like a much smaller version of SHIELD.
âBest we got is some DNA evidence. We matched it in our system, according to the evidence, he was one of us, back when we were active.â
You were a bit confused. âAn agent?â Natasha asked, sharing your confusion. You masked it better than her though, it was probably because she was more familiar with the former agent in front of you than you were.
The woman nodded, showing you her screen, a picture of an average looking 30-something year old guy looking rather bored in the picture.. âJackson Hastings. Odd thing is, he went missing on a mission a while ago. Hasnât been seen since.â Natasha took the tablet screen from her and you looked over her shoulder.
âHoly shit.â The group looked at you.
âYou know him?â Natasha asked curiously.
âHe was one of my targets.â You said, sure of yourself. He was a corrupt member of SHIELD. It was before SHIELD completely dismantled. You couldnât prove that he was connected to Hydra in any way, though you had your suspicions.
âYouâre sure?â She asked and you nodded in response. âLetâs head back, I think this is about as much evidence as weâre getting.â The group agreed and you thanked the woman on your way out.
***
âAnd youâre positive you targeted this man?â Steve asked, staring you down.
âVery. I donât forget targets.â Besides, Hastings was a case you would remember. Fury had sent you a file or two himself, not that heâd admit it, including this one. He couldnât prove Hastings was guilty. He knew youâd kill him if he was, but he didnât have much of a choice. Hastings had access to files that could end important operations and expose several undercover agents. So, you just âhappenedâ to run into Hastingsâ file. Sure enough, he was more than guilty.
âSome of your targets are still alive, right?â Clint asked and you nodded.
âWait, so you just let some of these guys go? What, were they suddenly innocent?â Tony asked. Though his tone was sarcastic, the question was genuine so you decided to answer.
âInnocent? Hardly. But life holds things much worse than death. Much worse.â The group tried to ignore that statement, though you could see curiosity written over their faces.
âIs he one of them? The alive targets, I mean.â Steve asked, getting back to the topic at hand.
âNo, he didnât deserve punishment that bad. Heâs only dead.â Hastings was one of the more straightforward cases. In any court, the way you got your proof wouldnât be admissible. In fact, youâd probably get arrested too. Thatâs why youâd turned into judge, jury, and executioner.
âAlright. So, a dead man walks into a museum. Sounds like the set up to a shitty joke.â Tony remarked under his breath, though most of the table was able to hear the comment.
âIf you killed him when he went on that mission, then heâs been dead for years. Now, heâs able to steal a highly guarded museum item but leaves behind blood?â Natasha said, posing the question to the group.
âClearly, itâs not impossible for people to come back from the dead. I meanâŠâ Tony gestured to you, Bucky, Steve, and Loki on your side of the table. Though your situations were wildly different, Stark did have a point. All of you had been labelled âdeadâ at one point or another.
âWell, our cases are different, donât you think?â Loki asked, actually contributing to the conversation. You were certain that was the first time you had heard him speak in a meeting. âThe Sergeant, the Captain and I were never really dead in the first place.â You heard Thor grumble something on Lokiâs other side, though you were unable to make out his words.
âIâm definitely an exception,â You continued, âbut it took me about 50 years and a huge malfunctioning healing machine. Considering the fact that heâs trying to build SPECTR, I doubt he died the same way.â You concluded landing the group, once again, on ground zero.
âOkay, so no more zombies. Whatâs going on then? You sure you killed him?â Tony said, the last part directed at you.
âCertain. His head was very much detached.â You didnât share too many of the details since the group never seemed to like that, but you had to slip in the occasional dark joke. Ask a psychopathic serial killer to join your team and youâre inviting in murder-based comedy.
âAlright. Any other ideas?â Tony asked, slightly disturbed.
âWhat if we have a shapeshifter? A dead man is a good disguise for a robbery, no?â Wanda asked in her accent. Her voice was pretty and the accent certainly helped. You wanted her to read something to you while you intently listened on, enjoying the sound. You did your best to stay focused though and thought over her question. The other scientists of the room looked like they were doing the same. Finally, you found a bit of a flaw.
âDown to the molecular level? Even after the material has left his body? Is that possible?â You questioned. A shapeshifting person was incredible on itâs own, now they can manipulate their form even when not connected to the DNA. A fascinating person indeed. In any other situation, youâd be itching to meet them. Maybe study them for a few hours. But this didnât seem like the kind of guy who just wanted to have a chat.
Clint shrugged. âIâve seen weirder.â
He did have a point. After all, you were sitting between a superhuman soldier who had supposedly died 70 years ago and a Norse god, things had changed since the 40s. Not to mention the fact that you were essentially a psychic zombie.
âSo, what do we do now? Wait for the next robbery? If it is a shapeshifter, which is only a theory by the way, we have no way of finding anyone.â
Steve looked around, seeing if anyone had any ideas. When no one spoke up, he sighed. âThen I guess we wait.â
***
You walked out of the meeting with way more questions than youâd hoped to have. You made your way upstairs and finally took a decent shower and sat down with a proper glass of whiskey. You werenât even sure if youâd drank water while you were at the tower. Not that you really needed it.
The TV was playing some new show you werenât familiar with. You didnât get any of the âcomedicâ references, nor did you understand the plot, but you were too lazy to search for something else.
There was a soft knock on your door. You groaned a bit, not wanting to answer.
âWhat do you want?â You yelled, loud enough so the person on the other side could hear you from your couch.
âItâs me.â You recognized the accent and sighed, getting up without bothering to pause the TV. You opened the door, waving the person in and sitting back down, taking another long sip of your drink.
âIâm fairly certain drinking that much is bad for you.â Loki said in a joking manner. He didnât get to do that too often. Everyone assumed there was some malintent behind the joke.
âItâs not exactly gonna kill me.â You sat back, finally grabbing the remote to find something more interesting.
âStill, I canât imagine it being good for you. Maybe try something else?â He suggested calmly.
You rolled your eyes a bit. He may have been more fun than the other caped crusaders, but he was hardly close enough to give you health advice.
âWhat do you want.â You didnât look at him.
He sighed, accepting that he wasnât going to get a better answer than that. âYou said that life holds things worse than death.â
When he didnât continue, you responded. âYeah. And?â
âWhat did you mean?â
You didnât really want to have this conversation. The team already thought you were horrifying, talking about your abilities certainly wouldnât help.
âSometimes itâs better to just die than live in torture, thatâs what I mean.â It wasnât exactly an answer, but it was sort of true. Thatâs close enough, right?
He considered this. âSo the people you leave alive, theyâre worse than the dead ones?â You nodded.
âYup. Are we done with this conversation now? Iâve got 70 years worth of movies to watch.â You flipped through more channels to find something tolerable.
Loki looked like he had something else to say, you were certain there was something else. âYes, thatâs fine.â He stood up, walking slowly. Though you were sure why, you thought it was because he was having some sort of inner debate.
He turned around and opened his mouth, but you spoke first. âYes, you can stay. Grab some chips while youâre up though, Iâll find something decent.â He smiled a bit. He never really asked to stay, he just waited to be invited. You didnât really mind, he was good company. And quiet for the most part.
For once, you didnât mind spending extra time with someone.

Been debating on posting this theory for a bit now but Iâve recently decided... You know what?Â
Why not?Â
If Iâm wrong then Iâm wrong. Cool. Worse comes to worse we get to chat about things. And I got a read more as itâs gonna be a long one... Sorry to the Michael stans in advanced...Â
This may hurt.Â
Okay... Been rewatching the last episode "Return to the Murder House" as well as "The Morning After" and "Forbidden Fruit" bit lately.
One because JESSICA LANGE IS A BEAST and GODS did I miss Queen Constance Langdon. Two because... Our Return felt... off.
Not because of the slew of Omen references cause that was to be expected. In fact, I was going to be upset if we didn't have on crazy person yell "IT'S ALL FOR YOU MICHAEL!" at least once (which we did btw right before that poor girl got Aztec style sacrificed. Why does it always gotta be the heart? Ouch!). But because I felt like there were holes in Constance's, Ben's, and possibly even Vivian's stories when we compare all of the details Michael himself has said about what he does.
Not big ones but...Â
Enough that I couldn't help but wonder when rewatching a few times why it bugged me. It took my rewatching "Forbidding Fruit" & "Could it be... Satan?" that it hit me what it was.
Now we've seen Michael kill- like actually without a doubt kill on screen- three times now.Â
Once the asshole Butcher (seriously, who cares what's she's using it for? It's just a goat's head and if she wants to pay for it, why not?)...
... The second that Cop who was "interrogating" him (more like âbeat the hell out himâ ), and the third the Cop who saw him escaping (who probably would have posted his and Ariel's pictures Everywhere, letâs be real here). All of whom- Well in Michael's mind- deserved it or did so to protect himself.Â
Now I know they were throw away characters but... It's curious that we saw it compared to his "earlier" kills.Â
In fact... Thos earlier kills were right there, right in front of us in all it's shocking & horrifying glory. All of the characters even had lines for goodness sakes.Â
But some of his big kills this episode... Nothing but dead bodies. Â
The couple who moved into the house had a few lines, sure, but not enough to really stick out save for "Same-Sex Couple that Bought the house" (I'm not going to touch their sexualities on this theory cause I'm sure there are many rants posted online on this & I cannot say anything that hasn't been said before other than the fact I groaned quite a bit when it happened... Again. Sigh
Anyway...)
We never got a proper introduction to them as Constance, Ben, and possibly Vivian only focused on the end of the encounter. Strange huh? Well...
Of course, we wouldn't see it, the Harmons and Constance are telling their story of this âTerrible Monstrous Boyâ killing people (I'm not going to touch the animals in this theory as I think that's purely his demonic nature coming out like a cat, as horrifying as it was & he appears to have stopped after his... Uhh... growth spurt). But we didn't see Constance hire the nanny or bring in the priest & we only saw the ladies who bought the home when they moved in.Â
So why is that exactly? Is it because they are throw away characters? But even most throwaway characters have a few lines, and the Harmons walked around the house before they bought they didnât move in right away (although as someone who works in the housing market that purchased bugged the hell out of me but that is something else). So why did we seen them like this in particular?
Well... Thatâs where things get interesting.Â
Now we all know the Harmons and Constance are the narrators of this story but- let's be real here- they are the definition of unreliable narrators.Â
In fact, I would call them Unreliable AF. Ben and Vivian's daughter was dead for weeks until they found out. Constance didn't notice the warning signs with Tate spiraling among a slew of other things until the SWAT team was bursting down his door.Â
So yeah... un-freaking-reliable.Â
And, seeing as Michael was so "unnatural and different" (he's a freaking cambion okay? It comes with the territory- Merlin was one too and all the King Arthur stories wax poetic on how freaky his shit was) Of course they would focus on the deaths themselves. However... With what we know on Michael.Â
It doesn't add up.
I know a bunch of people are going to flood my inbox with the whole "HE'S THE ANTICHRIST" but... Think about it. He's supposed to be the essence of evil, however, he is still part human and humans have free will right? I canât say Iâve read the whole Bible but from what Iâve gathered that was a major part of the start & another reason the angelâs became jealous and fell after all right? Plus he said himself...Â
"I've never been a fan of getting my hands dirty..."
So why would he willing get his hands dirty? If there is anything I know about kids its that if they donât want to do something they will not do it. Period.Â
Soo... Why would he stab and kill that couple? Why would he kill his nanny and look so proud of being bloody from it of it afterward? Why would he kill that Priest and shrug it off?
Curious.
But I think I may know why...
Michael has stated he has a talent or (as Iâd like to call it) a "superpower" of sorts. Maybe itâs because of his demonic heritage, maybe itâs because heâs a child of both the living and the dead and they say in death all of lifeâs questions are answered (Addy had said she knew what Tate had done via Billie Dean after all). Either way he even gave it a name of sort in calling it a "night vision of the soul"...
...It's how he was able to wind everyone up and watch them go up until a few apples showed up. And itâs this power in particular that when rewatching caught my attention.
Now... we know he's had powers since he was very young if the other little hints of his power as a baby are any hint & from we can gather he age normally for a time and dead flies without their wings when he can barely move his fingers? Come now. So when did this power really awaken?
I think I know when and -In fact- I think we all do...Â
With the death of his Nanny.
Now I may be going off the rails here but... Stay with me.
I think he may have seen something in his Nanny, Flora thanks to his âNight Visionâ. Something that caused him to... react.Â
We've all heard horror stories of the babysitter being a bad egg and we all know how Ryan loves to play with these old horror stories (uuuh it's in the title, American Horror Story duh!). So what if he saw her doing something?Â
What if he looked into her soul and saw other kids she's killed and swept under the rug? What if he could sense something terrible?
What if he sensed her about to hurt him and his grandma?Â
We all know Constance wouldn't have noticed if there was anything wrong, if the nanny doing her job right, she was "the help" after all. And as much as We love Constance...
Yeaah...Â
That would explain a bit about why little Michael looked so happy as he sat in his rocking chair, why he waved to grandma as if it were no major thing while there was a dead body less then five feet away? After all, he was using his powers in a way she would be sure to call healthy -it wasn't animals anymore after all (thank gods)- and a bad lady who would hurt him and grandma was gone now. Â
But this wasn't the first time that Michael would have to deal with these particular powers.Â
Oh no... Michaelâs aged overnight and then Constance's "divine intervention" which led to another dead body:
That dead Priest at the edge of Michael's bed.
Yeah...Â
I don't think I have to get into the current events with the church and the things they've hidden under the rug. Heck, itâs pretty well documented. So can we all really say we would be surprised if Michael sensed something bad there?Â
And the fact that they were IN MICHAEL'S ROOM especially got me when I started to think about it and... I gotta say I got the shivers from that scene for a very very different reason.
But, like most things with Michael when he really started this power, this gift was uncontrollable. Michael being so young and growing up so soon. What if he couldn't turn it off? Think about it... A Small child in a young manâs body with terrible things were being broadcasted to him and all he knew was how to was react to them like a mirror with light.
"...All people, given the right pressures and stimulus are evil mother fuckers."
I think that's he suddenly attacked Constance as well.Â
And let's be real here, as much as we love Queen Langdon, her skeleton's have overrun her closet and they are even a few buried in her backyard.Â
But he gained control, he saw it was his Grandma before him and he looked as horrified as we all felt in that moment (our first watch).Â
Maybe then he started to realize... He couldn't keep doing this. Attacking people. It was bad... He was becoming like them. And besides... it was grandma and she was nice to him. She loved him & he loved her!Â
Okay maaaaybe I'm going all fan fiction here but with how he was so heartbroken when he saw her dead, why he blamed himself so much.Â
Why he said a few words that I may have cried when he said it-
âIâm a monster! Why would you want to help me?!â
Ouch.
Needless to say Ben showing up when he did was probably one of the best things to happen to him for the brief moment. Ben became a father he never had and encouraged him to be good.Â
But that wasn't the only reason he wanted to be good. The spirits whispered to him...Â
About his biological father.
Now I honestly donât think all Tate's actions were not just influenced by the house or the devil here but some were his own (once agian, free will kids). But regardless... Tate had changed. I think losing Violet made him actually change after all he's probably more of a sociopath, and not a psychopath as everything he did was for Violet (it wasn't healthy but he cared about her a hella ton more then the Joker cares for Harley Quinn). He had admitted to all things he did... Once. And maybe the other spirits told him about it.
Kids have a tendency to want to be like their parents and I could see him all but worshipping Tate. If his âfatherâ changed, maybe he could too? Maybe he could be good one day? Maybe he could accept people and all the ugly parts of them? Â
Ben thought he could do it.Â
So maybe his "dad" could too?
Well... of course, we all know how well THAT turned out.
Sigh
Tate...Â
You're an interesting, multi-layered, and complicated character and I love you for it but... YOU. ARE. A.GREAT. BIG. BAG. OF. DICKS.
Freaking hell dude
Anyway, Michael spiraled downwards and pretty hardcore.
Like Ben said, all of the dark parts of the house started to whisper to him and he followed suit...
However, that part with Elizabeth Short gave me some pause that he was 100% gone with how our âThe Black Dahliaâ was at the end of season 1 (Hell she was pretty ecstatic she became a famous murder victim). She probably asked him to recreate the moment she âBecame Somebodyâ & the kid probably thought he was doing her a favor as it made the pretty lady happy (Kids are weird bro, part demon or no). But I doubt Ben knows about that bit.Â
He only said what he saw.Â
Didn't exactly ask Micheal on the "why" here and I have to admit I headdesked as he DIDN'T TEAR MICHAEL AWAY. Cause...
SERIOUSLY?
Arenât you supposed to be a better parent then you are a therapist?!
Ugghhhhhh
And then... The biggest hole in this slew of flashbacks happened.
The new couple showed up and bought the house.
Now we saw them how Ben saw them, not how Michael did. We saw a nice same-sex couple. But...Â
Who knows what Michael saw?
We didnât see them look at the house or buy it... Only after they moved in. So thereâs a part missing in this story.Â
Whatever it was something that really really set him off, he was waiting for them when they moved in, dressed in latex & did the one thing he hated to do...
...Get his hands dirty.
But he didn't stop there.
When Ben said they would be trapped in the house forever... What did Michael do?Â
He destroyed them entirely (or so it looks like of course, I was getting some hardcore "Drag me to Hell" vibes TBH but that's just me) in such a venomous way I was reminded instantly of the cop in the police station.Â
Do we know why he did it?Â
Do we know how he found out the house was going to be sold? Â
Nope.
Ben kinda missed that detail entirely. Interesting seeing as the kid was kinda a squatter at this point. But with the relish, Michael had when he did it... I wonder.
What gets's me the most about that particular scene is how Michael looked so hurt when Ben said he was a âlost causeâ and gave up on him.Â
He had mentioned in "Could it Be... Satan?" he Miss Mead had been the one person who hadnât betrayed him.Â
Did Ben know something more... Did he neglect in saying something to Madison & Behold? Would it really surprise you all if maybe he had? Ben has a glorious track record for doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Either way Michael was alone.Â
For the first time.Â
Told by another person he was a lost cause...Â
Evil.
And my guess as to why:Â
Because he could see the evil in others.
Imagine his surprise when a group of people come to his door at night and all but worship him & be willing to show him the so-called truth cause you know he knew he was different at this point?Â
They did terrible things sure, but they were kind to him. His Grandma had done the same but she hadn't accepted him. These people did, and they were willing to do something bad so he could know what they knew...Â
It was probably the first time anyone had really done anything for him....
... And when he bit into the heart of that girl...
Well...Â
That was all she wrote.
He was told he was evil so many times... He started to believe it. And hearing his so-called "true father's" voice...
Now keep in mind this is all a theory and maybe, Iâm reading into nothing. Seeing shapes in smoke but...Â
Cody has said a few times that the first few episodes gave certain things away. And well all know Ryan has a tendency to make us feel sorry for some of the most horrifying people ever. I wonât be surprised if he turns the Antichrist into something equally tragic. His own version of Luciferâs fall and... Maybe his redemption as well. I guess weâll find out as we continue on.
But... TLDR-
I donât we got the whole story from the Murder House, not with how important it is to Michaelâs character. There are two sides to every story. Donât consider us âMurder Houseâ survivors just yet...Â
Itâs only a matter of time until we have to go back and I get the feeling more Michael back story is gonna hurt...

shayâs favorite albums of 2017
didnât commit to finishing this until the literal very end of 2018 but whatever fdjhfkjdsnfds
Iâm not sure if it was my newfound willingness to explore new genres and artists, but I thought 2017 was a fantastic year for music. Plenty old favorites of mine released new albums this year, and I was lucky enough to discover a lot of music, both from new musicians and old. Hereâs my top twenty albums of this year.
20. Divide by Ed Sheeran
19. Fin by Syd
18. Blossom by Milky Chance
17. I See You by the xx
16. Trip by Jhene Aiko
15. Good for You by Amine
14. Future Friends by Superfruit
13. Sacred Hearts Club by Foster the People
12. American Teen by Khalid
11. All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell by Pvris
10. From the Outside by Hey Violet - While I originally only cared about this band because itâs composed of mostly girls, which is rare, Iâve grown to really love them as musicians. Theyâre very creative, producing catchy pop tracks that arenât like most pop songs, and their debut album is fun as hell. Each song makes the listener feel badass and sexy and young, and you just kinda wanna dance and enjoy life. Favorite track: Tie between Like Lovers Do and Unholy. The former is distinctive and unique, and reminds me of Emilie Autumn, and the latter is incredibly well-produced and pretty visceral for a pop track by such a young band.Â
9. After Laughter by Paramore - Continuing their previous albumâs sound so that every song sounds like Ainât It Fun, After Laughter has a gorgeous aesthetic, a memorable sound, and, notably, follows the trend of most emo artists of today - disguising sad lyrics beneath happy music, as made famous by Twenty One Pilots. Each song is catchy, allow the lyrics all leave you feeling a bit empty, but youâll be dancing to misery. Favorite track: 26. Iâm always a sucker for the one mellow song on an album full of bops, and that rang true once more. 26 is about reflecting back on how youâve spent your youth, and itâs paired with a bittersweet simplistic guitar. Hayleyâs vocals hold pain, but also gratitude.
8. Hopeless Fountain Kingdom by Halsey - Iâve been a huge Halsey fan since before Badlands even came out, when all we had was Room 93 and live versions of then-unreleased tracks. Though her evolving sound was criticized by some, I appreciated that HFK follows the formula so many other sophomore records follow, with the lyrics addressing new-found fame and how the artist is dealing with it, and also how they want their sound to be since theyâve already made it big. This record was clearly more hip-hop driven, with production that sounded heavily influenced by Kanye, but it felt fitting. Furthermore, HFK is the redemption arc to Badlandâs heartbreak-themes. Itâs really a triumphant album overall. Favorite track: Sorry. While 100 Letters is my most-played track and therefore a close second, because the simplistic beat allows Ashleyâs lyrics to shine, and sheâs a lyricist and a poet before sheâs a singer - I believe Sorry is the quintessential song from this record. Her pain is so tangible in this stripped-down ballad, and itâs such a nice switch from her usual lust-driven upbeat songs. I always have respect for musicians who can bear their sleeve in such an open, honest way, and while Ashleyâs always been vocal about her struggles, itâs still nice to hear such a heartfelt track come about even after all her success.
7. Dua Lipa by Dua Lipa - This young pop singer's self-titled debut is a catchy, passionate, and solid record that's earned her a well-deserved place on the charts and in people's playlists. The songs are rather cliched, recycled themes that I've heard from dozens of other young female artists, but there's some emotionally-charged pop ballads that show potential. Dua's vocals remind me of a raspier Ariana Grande mixed with a less-powerful Christina Aguilera. Seeing as those two aforementioned singers can over-do their performances a bit, I enjoyed this mellower newcomer. Don't get me wrong, Dua's unique in her own way, and she's hardly a copycat; but I'm worried her talent will overlooked because there's already others like her. Still, it was a solid album that I enjoy thoroughly, and I had multiple tracks from it on repeat.
6. Beautiful Trauma by P!nk - I've been a P!nk fan since I was very young, and this album was wonderfully nostalgic to me. P!nk's one of the few artists who's never been swayed by a need to stay relevant; she just makes the music she wants to make, and her fans love her for it. This record was, at times, a little generic beat-wise, but still distinctly P!nk. As always, she wore her heart on her sleeve and you can feel how personal every song is; how genuine every word is. It really pays off. Favorite track: Barbies - This is a song I think every girl over thirteen can relate to. I'm twenty years younger than P!nk, but this track really resonated with me. It was the only song on this record I listened to repeatedly. I think every girl wants to grow up as quickly as possible, but once you reach adulthood, you just want to be a kid again. You long for simpler times. The beautiful message of the song (enjoy your youth) is paired beautifully with gorgeous instruments (violin! cello! wow!), which adds a timelessness to the track.
5. One More Light by Linkin Park - Although most, myself included, were unhappy with the pop-driven sound of LPâs seventh effort, the death of Chester added a lot to how meaningful this album is. Listening to it now fills me with a hopeful nostalgia, in contrast with how I listened to it in the days following his passing. What once sounded like a cry for help that no one listened to, now sounds like a triumphant farewell. As usual, these guys put their hearts into the making of this record, and itâs a real bummer that it took Chester killing himself to make people appreciate that. LP is a master at their craft, regardless of what genre theyâre feeling at the moment. Itâs a solid album, full of truly heartfelt lyrics and Chesterâs beautiful voice, and Iâve often found myself listening to it when Iâm feeling down. It really helps. And thatâs what LPâs music has always been about, I think. Being there for you when you feel like no one else is. This album still felt like that, even though it was through a different genre. They let go of the anger that fueled their signature sound in the beginning, in exchange for a more rounded, reflective take on things. I think thatâs comforting, and beautiful, in a way no one seemed to understand. Whatâs better than someone making peace with the world? Alternatively, whatâs worse than someone taking their own life because people didnât want to see them get better? Favorite track: Talking to Myself. I watched this video the day it was released - hours before Chesterâs passing was announced. I enjoyed the bass and the video made me smile. After I found out, and after a few hours of crying, I rewatched this video, and it meant so much more the second time. The song itself is a favorite because itâs such a fun track. The bass line is catchy as hell, and my favorite part of the song is the chorus following the bridge, where Chester does a powerful run and then briefly lapses into Meteora-style vocals (âyou keep running like the sky is fallingâ). That bit is so profoundly incredible to listen to for me, and Iâm glad he left us with it.
4. Revival by Eminem - Iâm one of the biggest Eminem stans of all time, so Iâd probably buy a record that consisted entirely of Marshall shitting - but in all actuality, though he could never disappoint me, I was prepared for the worst, and I was pleasantly surprised. This album felt more solid than MMLP2âČs experimental sounds, with Em showing us he really hasnât fallen off. His usage of words like âlitâ and âshookâ are admittedly a little cringey, and his take at a more modern sound on Believe (with a trap beat and a Migos-like flow) is questionable, but the lyrics show heâs just as on top of his game than ever. Itâs not an instant-classic like MMLP - those days are probably over - but itâs a decent record with several damn good songs. (Edit, 12/2018: Bro I wrote this last year, what the fuck was I on dgfkjdgh.) Favorite track: In Your Head. While the most memorable tracks on this record are definitely the collaborations - my favorites being River with Ed Sheeran and Need Me with P!nk - this rather short track really stood out. I listened to the album for the first time on my CD player, without having looked at the track listing since it was released a few weeks back, so every song was a surprise, and when I heard O'Riordanâs vocals, I got very excited, since Zombie is one of my favorite songs of all time. Though the original song is about war, Em raps over the sample trackâs bass line and signature guitar riff and speaks about the skeletons in his closet with a passion reminiscent of The Eminem Show and a flow taken from his Recovery days. The smooth transition to Castle is another nice touch. While his speed in the last thirty seconds of Offended is impressive (with Flight of the Bumblebee in the background! Ha!), this was the song that sold me on this album. Itâs everything I love about Eminem. (Note: This was written before OâRiordanâs passing. RIP.)
3. Scum Fuck / Flower Boy by Tyler, the Creator - From the goofy poster boy of a generation of carefree and colorfully dressed punks, to an extremely talented and capable producer and musician, watching Tylerâs growth as an artist and a human has been extremely rewarding, especially as a longtime Tyler/OF fan. While Cherry Bomb failed to impress me in the midst of my emo-craze, I appreciated that it was a turning point in Tylerâs career. SFFB, however, successfully took me right out of my indie-craze. Flower Boy builds upon what Tyler tried to do on CB, and it works out much better. Watching his brilliant NPR Tiny Desk Concert only solidified this belief. Tylerâs a musical genius, and I hope more people come to realize it. Favorite track: 911/Mr. Lonely. The whole record is full of earworms - Glitter, Boredom, See You Again - and itâs truly a feat Tyler was able to pull that off. But I have to go with this single - both songs are catchy, the production is masterful, Frank Ocean and Steve Lacyâs voices are beautiful. Who Dat Boy didnât particularly excite me upon first listen, but these two tracks did, because they reminded me how talented and incredible Tyler is.
2. DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar - My favorite thing about musicians is getting to watch them mature, both musically and personally. Iâve frequently compared DAMN to J. Coleâs 4 Your Eyez Only, as both records feature Jermaine and Kendrick discussing much more mature concepts within their albums. Kendrickâs always been grounded because of his upbringing, whereas Cole was a little more blinded by fame for the first few albums. However, since their respective last albums, Kendrick has gotten engaged, and Cole got married and had a little girl (EDIT: Apparently he had a boy!), and you can hear how these lifestyle changes have influenced their lyrical content, which is really nice to behold. Kendrickâs always seemed like a very intelligent person, with an understanding of the world many in his field lack, and this album highlights that beautifully. Favorite track: Humble. While Loveâs a personal favorite, Humbleâs success reminded me of Control. I still remember the day that dropped - and Humble felt similar, as it was Kendrick reminding us that heâs simply on another level. The simplistic and almost grating beat excellently parodies every single rap song thatâs on the radio these days, except Kendrick proves his superiority by showing us that the beatâs not the important part; the lyrics are. Itâs genius, and Iâll never get over how iconic it is, honestly.
1. Saturation I, II, & III by Brockhampton - Because this remarkably talented new group released three new records this year, and I canât pick a favorite, nor can or do I want to rate them separately, they easily earn this spot. With flawless and innovative production, refreshingly creative and intricate lyrics, remarkable versatility, and, best of all, a youthful individuality reminiscent of Odd Future circa 2011, Brockhampton is one of the best things 2017 has offered. Iâve grown attached to these kids, and Iâm glad Iâll be able to see where they go and how big they get. Favorite track: Star. While Junky is the most impressive track, and Follow is my personal favorite, Star earns this spot because itâs the song that single-handedly got me into Brockhampton. The name-dropping bop is a good introduction to the band, as it features their signature memorably synth-infused beats, Ameerâs clever wordplay, Ianâs favorite thing to talk about (his sexuality) as well as his penchant for hooks and bridges, Merlynâs loud and brash vocals, etc. I wonât be compiling a list of my favorite songs of this year, but if I did, this would easily make the top ten. It reminded me exactly why I love rap music, in a time when I was beginning to doubt hip hop.
honorable mentions
CTRL by SZA - Though Iâd never heard of SZA aside from her feature on Consideration, this album was hyped immensely by Twitter, so I felt I had to check it out. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Although the albumâs masterfully done, and I love the production and her voice, the lyrical content ruined it for me. Of course, this is personal preference, and sheâs allowed to write songs about whatever the hell she wants to, but the nature of the lyrics were what kept me from being a fan. To each their own, I guess.
Everybody by Logic - I wasnât a big Logic fan prior to 1-800. Funny story, actually - I thought he was entirely white, and Iâm vehemently against white rappers. He's more like a biracial Kendrick, especially in flow on Hallelujah. The record continues the trend started by Beyâs Lemonade of celebrating black power and beauty, with Logic demonstrating a fresh, biracial perspective on it. Loved that there were actual instrumentals, that was refreshing, considering modern rap beats are often created entirely using synthesizers. Also love that Logicâs cementing himself as the Inclusive Rapper, and accepting that title proudly. Good for him.
I Decided by Big Sean - Iâve been a casual Big Sean fan since Finally Famous (2011), but heâs very rarely impressed me with his lyricism. This album showed that Seanâs matured and grown as a person and a rapper, but the songs didnât leave enough of an impression on me to be featured on my list.
Lust for Life by Lana Del Rey - Although Iâm sure die-hards were more than happy with this record, I didnât enjoy it as much as I wish I couldâve. Lanaâs sound hasnât changed much, so I donât think the quality of her music is decreasing, I just think my tastes are changing. This newer stuff hasnât appealed to me nearly as much as her Born to Die/Paradise stuff did. I think 2012!me wouldâve loved this record, but 2017!me was unsatisfied.
Melodrama by Lorde - I can always appreciate growth in an artist, but in Lordeâs case, I couldnât bring myself to like the change. While thereâs traces of the sound that put her on the map, and the music still sounds like teenage rebellion, it just doesnât invoke the same feelings. Itâs less grounded - and not in a good way.
Lovely Little Lonely by The Maine - The pop punk 1D continues to make catchy, solid tunes, but nothing about this record particularly stands out to me. Still, itâs a decent album from an underrated band.
extended plays
theyâre too short to be included in my top albums, but i wanted to mention them anyway.
Caught Up by Sarah Close - I found this adorable Brit through her fantastic covers of popular songs, and thankfully I was subscribed when she started posting original music. Caught Up isnât particularly unique, but the songs are fun, her voice is wonderful, and itâs a solid little EP.
Y.O.U by Dodie -Â Iâve watched Dodieâs covers for a while, so itâs nice to see sheâs making original stuff. Love the style of it. Very excited to see what she puts out next.
dont smile at me by Billy Eilish - The fifteen-year-old, who sounds very similar to the recently-disgraced Melanie Martinez, may talk like an annoying skater boy, but her angelic singing voice keeps pulling me back in. Iâm not used to talented celebrities being younger than me. Itâs depressing. (EDIT: I spelled Billie wrong jdgdhf sheâs in my top 10 artists of this year now too hahh)
Hard by The Neighbourhood - This band has been a favorite for four years now; I even saw them live for my birthday in 2015. They could never disappoint me, but their recent music hasnât changed much to what long-time fans like myself fell in love with in the days of I Love You, which is nice to see, when so many other artists I used to like are experimenting with their sound in unflattering ways.
