as I have mentioned it has been 8+ years since I last went to the dentist and commensurately I had forgotten. how goddamn weird and unpleasant facial anaesthetic feels.

#red said #i have had both an upper and a lower tooth filled on the same side #ie TWO jabs of anaesthetic in the same side of my face and I've lost everything from the chin to the sinus #my nose feels stuffed up even though I KNOW it's just that the stuff around the sinus #is temporarily insensate #i do not love it #however. both fillings done. so far don't need a root canal touch wood. 40 minutes and £54 and he did a good job painwise #the thing is it's never been the pain that's the main problem. the problem is that i hate the water jet so much.#water hits the back of my throat when i can't swallow freely and even though i KNOW I'm fine i feel like I'm drowning #that and the anaesthetic are really the bits that suck #(i also do not love the squeaky noise of metal being crammed into my teeth but that's manageable)
