Lollllll found that there was actually a village way closer to the spawn area in minecraft and i don't need to make an in-game day long boat journey to get to the other two i found. It's one of the ones that loaded in on a very uneven piece of terrain with sheer dropoffs and open cave mouths so the layout is completely fucked and the villagers sometimes get lost for entire day cycles because they can't figure out a way between their beds and work areas and meeting place, so some terraforming is certainly in order
