congratulations to ju wenjun for becoming the world blitz chess champion. and congratulations to carlsen and nepomniachtchi for getting married (in chess) i guess
#for context: imagine winning your first world title in something and it's because the other guy suggested that you two should share it#(said other guy being a several-time world champion#as well as the same opponent you've already lost out to on a different more important world title in the past. twice.)#people including other top players are mad slash disappointed (and understandably so)#however i'm sort of living for the complete unseriousness of it all like sorry i can't help who i am#co-champions... personally my allegiances lie somewhere else but. huge win for a very specific type of fujo out there i imagine#(so sorry if you've read this far. my excuse is that i've had very little sleep and a lot of caffeine)
