Was given some money for the holidays with the stipulation of spending it all on something for Me so I splurged on some fingering weight wool yarns (that I got a Very good deal on of course, that’s half the fun.) Most of my yarn is admittedly rainbow vomit tier so the neutrals are actually exciting to me, I have a general idea of what I want to make with everything except the odd man out sideways skein. That was Supposed to be paired with a matching light grey yarn but it wasn’t in the box and when I emailed support they had to refund me because they were sold out. I’m already eyeing a differing lace weight yarn to substitute but I have several (thousand) other projects lined up in the mean time, I can wait for a sale or a great need for another yarn before I bite the bullet.

#yarn #i have a General idea for everything else but that project was the only one i had a Specific pattern picked out already #The other projects i have in mind #thinking the teal (superwash) as a hat/cowl/mitts set for my outdoorsy cousin (might pair with white or black)#the grey on the left of the teal is also superwash and will probably be it's own hat #the rest i'm thinking using in a gradient type deal to make a big shawl blanket #however None of it is superwash so i'm going to think carefully about how large since it has to be handwashed #also looking at it all together i think it would make a very pretty colourwork but i just don't like doing colourwork that much #also for some reason i thought all of these were 50 gram balls but clearly i cannot read #the more i see this photo the less i mind the teal with the grey on it's left. the lighting might be off tho i think the grey is brown irl #but my back hurts too much to get up to check. we'll see when i eventually get around to winding the teal
