ok not to go back to 2012 for a minute but look at these pretty new editions of the wicked lovely series.

#wicked lovely#melissa marr#I do sometimes think removing a 2000s style book cover from a 2000s style book can do it a disservice.......#like. the content of the books do reflect the time it was written in. and now people might not expect that#however I'm not against the attempt to inject some fey fantasy that does actually engage with SOME elements of folklore back into the scene#also. the latest book was. not great.#oh people are finding out about cold iron heart from this. just so you know. it's. not very good#(a few bits of interesting lore but the narrative itself......euhhhh....)
