fic updates!

- did I shatter you? is fully finished with the epilogue posted in case anyone missed that! it’s also on AO3. I most likely will not revisit this universe unless I feel particularly inspired or get a request to do so. that fic felt really raw and special to me and I’m so humbled by your love for it. thank you for loving it as much as I did.

- find the strength, find the melody will be finished. Luke’s POV is already half written. Julie has 3-4 chapters left. 6 at the absolute max. I do not have a timeline for when updates will be posted. december is a bad mental health month for me and there is inevitably a mountain of shit to get through for our family during holidays. I earn like 80% of my wife stripes in the time between Halloween and New Year’s. I promise I’m still writing and working on this, I just need breaks sometimes.

- I really wanna start a Flarrie fic with tie-ins to gold rush and ‘tis the damn season by taylor swift. I’ve never written for non-canon ships but I have this idea that won’t leave my brain. I think I might post it on AO3 first, but it will eventually end up here too. 

- Reggie is probably getting a spin-off strength/melody fic with a Kayla pairing because Luke gave me that in his POV and then I had an epiphany that last young renegades is his all time low album. someone’s gotta take advantage of the drugs&candy title and I have volunteered as tribute. that will probably be my last JATP fic outside of one-shots/drabbles/requests until I finish my OC novel. unfortunately fanfics will not pay my bills so I gotta actually work on the thing that will. 

- connected to that last bulletin: I absolutely will write fic requests! please don’t be shy about sending in prompts or requests, I would actually really love to do that! it would be a nice break from tapping into my own creative well. my only caveat is that I don’t write xReader fics or RPF.

that’s the update! sorry for the word dump, but I haven’t been very active lately and wanted to keep you all informed. I haven’t said this before, but I’ve quite literally been locked down inside of my house since the second week of March due to being high risk and this fandom/all of you lovely people have been a godsend during what has been the hardest part of my quarantine. thanks for being here with me. I love y'all.
