Thank you for the reminder, because AUs are my absolute favorite!

As always, I put some limits on myself with these recs to help cut down the number of possibles to a workable amount! Here I went for works that were complete AUs - no canon-divergent AUs or AUs with tomb-raiding-adjacent settings.

I'm also restricting myself to one rec per person, which is SO HARD, and leaving off anything that has already been recced.

Title: Reach Up and Rise Again Creator: @kholran Pairing: Risang Rating: M Type of AU: Scifi (Pacific Rim) Why I like it: One of the absolute best PacRim AUs I have read in any fandom - wonderfully cinematographic.

Title: Of Witches and Brews Creator: @pearlpugly Pairing: Gen Rating: G Type of AU: Modern with magic Why I like it: A fabulous full-length comic full of humor and cuteness.

Title: No One Take You Down Creator: @s1utspeare Pairing: KanSang Rating: G Type of AU: Modern, bodyguard Why I like it: BODYGUARD AU MY BELOVED. Whump and devotion that goes both ways, these sweet boys.

Title: Ten Feet of Light Creator: @momosandlemonsoda Pairing: HeiSang Rating: T Type of AU: Modern, idol, bodyguard Why I like it: Did I mention bodyguard AU? Lots of lovely competence porn, too.

Title: What We Know Might Change Us Creator: @morkofday Pairing: HeiHua Rating: G Type of AU: Fantasy (Xianxia) Why I like it: Fascinating translation of canon to a mythological setting, lovely weight to the relationship.

Title: A Dance For One Can Become a Dance For Two Creator: @wild-feather Pairing: HeiSang Rating: M Type of AU: Modern, figureskating Why I like it: This made my aroace heart very happy.

Title: All Creatures Fierce and Bright Creator: @thelaithlyworm Pairing: HeiHuoHua, HeiXie Rating: T Type of AU: Fantasy (Ladyhawke) Why I like it: A gorgeous two-part AU with beautifully aching feels.

And one of mine because I can, darnit: Title: Gunpowder and Ink Creator: @foxofninetales Pairing: pingxie, xiesang, hints of future pingxiesang, hints of future heihuohua Rating: T Type of AU: Historical - Regency Why I like it: Because it's fun! The Regency setting is prime for romance, but there are a whole lot of shenanigans going on, too.
