Awaaaah! Im doing pretty ok!!! Taking time to answer this as a wind down from Emerald Weapon Ex Brain Soupage. And I’m so glad! ;W; I think I butchered one of those “Get To Know An OC” thingies- uhh… oh [this one] actually! I chopped a lot out and I think added a couple different thingums instead because there was so much to that that it felt overwhelming to try to look at let alone fill out LOL but it was a really good jumping off point uvu;

And!!! Hilariously Chuu was my First XIV Character, so she’s dear to my heart for being the first one- but she very quickly made it known being the WOL even as an AU was something of a Joke (Her character showed great reluctance and even frustration at having to do So Much World Saving, maybe a side-effect of me rushing through MSQ to catch up with my other spouse [Who plays Talia, though they’ve got less time for XIV these days ;0;] and the rest of my friends who were all EndGame already at the time in Shadowbringers fhdjfjsjfs.) So I made…… many alts. Throwing spaghetti at the wall but I have SEVERE side-character/NPC brain and kept making “supporting cast” types =w=; it actually took me like. 3? Alts before making an ACTUAL WoL with my husband (Ishi’li and Kizuna) (as of Right Meow, they’re in post ARR, but we’ve been working on Keathan and Tuesday together because Keathan was… Keathan’s first character in xiv XD so we’ve been jaunting through the story together and experiencing every inch of it so we can pick and choose what The Boys™ get up to when we wanna focus on them x3)

🥰 I knew both speece during at least high school- but I actually knew Keathan as early as Elementary school hehe 😌 tho the speece didn’t proper marry until… i’unno, 2017? (For frustrating legal reasons, I’m not legally married, but. As it goes. Someday we’ll have money to visit the one state that has legal poly marriages. Also I struggle to remember our wedding year 🫢)

Since managing to make a Co-WoL with my husband I’ve managed to make one other Alt meant to be a Solo-WoL (Mochiie) but I have to really wrinkle my brain to sink time into playing him, since I’m trying to take screenshots throughout the story at what I find to be inspiring beats xD And even still he has an alt-universe where he’s just a side-character for the ‘Main Timeline’ (where there’s a bunch of spaghetti and like 8+ confirmed WoL’s and the Msq entourage looks HILARIOUS in canon, someday I’ll get all the data together and take pictures, but I think it’ll cook what’s left of my brain x’3) [it’s less concrete than anything I’ve posted about before or I’d try to explain it ;v;’ it’s just interesting mostly to see how the story gets stretched to fit around a larger community of heroes than a solo guy shouldering the whole burden lmfao.]

You didn't come to Twisted Wonderland from Earth. You came from somewhere else. You were an angel. You had wings, prayed everyday, extraordinary beauty and basically, everything an angel could be described with.

This would grab the attention of everyone.

So for your own comfort, you kept it a secret even from Grim.

During your time in NRC, you ended up catching feelings for a french guy with a bowl haircut. And once you found out he reciprocated your feelings, you started a beautiful relationship.

Although you loved Rook, you still wouldn't reveal your biggest secret to him.

You were too good at hiding it that Rook began suspecting something was up.

"Mon amour, is there something bothering you?" He asks, during a small date.

"No? Why do you ask?" You responded, tilting your head to the side questionably.

"There's no use in lying to me, my love." He says, a mysterious smile appearing on his face as he holds your hand tighter.

You didn't feel good lying to him. You were an angel after all.

"I have to go." You run off, leaving the curious hunter...well...more curious.

And so every time he had to himself, he'd watch you closely(I mean, what did you expect when you started dating him? Leona??/lh) to find anything that can help him figure out what you're hiding.

One day you just felt...like you needed to shift to your true form. Flying wasn't easy with a broom and you needed to relax and stretch your wings for a bit. Plus, the weather was nice and cloudy you could go for a fly.

You left to a deserted place where nobody was around. That was when you decided to let loose.

You stretched your wings and went for a fly.

"I missed this!!!" You said, having fun while flying high in the sky.

"This is funnn," You yelled softly.

"Oui! This is truly fun is it not?" Another voice yelled in the sky next to you.

"Wait what??"

You looked to the side to see Rook on his broom with his usual "(＾ᵕ＾)" face. This made you zoom back down and immediately shift to your human self.

Rook followed and saw you running away.

"S'il vous plaît attendez, mon amour," (Please wait my love) Rook grabbed your wrist and his strong grip didn't let you go.

"You...uh...saw nothing now ok?!!"

"You flew so gracefully like an angel. The feathers of your wings moved in rythm with the wind. Oh c'était très beau(it was very beautiful),"

You knew there was no going back. So you explained your true identity to him.

"Ah, mon amour, c'est une surprise!"

"I know it's very unique uh..."

"Please, show me your enlightening angel figure again." Rook said, eyes sparkling with love.

"Maybe some other day. I still feel sort of sick after that quick transformation."

"Of course." Rook smiled as he ran his hands through your hair. You felt a bit relaxed after this.

"Ah yes, I brought some sweets from my dorm. The weather is truly beautiful today. Would you care to have some with me?" He said.

"That would be great."

And so you ended your afternoon lying on Rook's shoulder, having some sweets. If you trust him with this secret, you made a good decision.

Sounds better!"The mutant bunny exclaimed while he wrote down in his small pocket notebook "Today seems to be a very special day because my parents are more than happy, I think it's because I just turned 7 years old and I think they want us to go for a walk because I saw my dad Usagi pack a lot of our things "Wrote Jotaro, while he continued writing with emotion, his rabbit-yokai father was on the phone while ordering some bags

"Yes, understood,shinpai suru na/Don't worry, we have all the essentials, it will be the first festival he will attend and I know he will be happy to see you... Yes, ok, send my regards to Tomoe-San and Gennosuke-Kun I will be delighted to see you again…sayonara” the Samurai rabbit said goodbye in the most polite way possible

After his call Usagi set out to see his dear husband Leonardo, a turtle in his 40s, current leader of the Hamato Clan,but upon entering the room, he was blinded by a beautiful scene, which he had to immortalize with a cell phone video (a very old one for someone who has lived in New York since 2023)

"Who is the most beautiful baby-conejito in the whole multiverse~? It's you!!" Leo shouted as he carried Jotaro in his arms and tickled him

"Dad! Stop! I'm already a big boy!" Exclaimed Jotaro I laughed

"I know~, but you're as cute and soft as a marshmallow, I could eat you if I wanted to" Leo said making bite gestures

"That's very nice Leo-San, I think my father-in-law and brothers-in-law will love to see this" Usagi said, while sending the video to everyone in the family group

"What!? Not Usagi!!" He yelled as he set Jotaro down "You know how they get when I do and say those things!!, especially my dad!!" He exclaimed with feelings of anger and embarrassment

"But why is it so bad? Look, they already answered and they seem happy with this" He showed his cell phone and to Leo's horror they all wrote at the same time

"Woahhh!! Someday I'll do that too!!" exclaimed the bunny-turtle

"Finish your self-defense lessons first, and then we'll move on to the wooden sword."

"Daddy Usagi, that's boring~"

"Do you think your father and I learned the art of being a swordsman overnight? It requires years of training and discipline, I'm pretty sure your grandfather Splinter was stricter than us, right Leo?”

"I-I'm not listening to you, I just opened the portal, let's go!" Leo exclaimed, because the truth is that Splinter had taught them in ways...unconventional, in any case, the three of them were already on their way to the Usagi’s dimension,The Yokai Japan

A blue portal opens on the outskirts of a beautiful village, full of peace and life. Usagi came out of it and after taking a breath of fresh air said "Tadaima / I'm home"

"It's so beautiful..." Leo said as he closed the portal "I almost wish I lived here...it's so peaceful..."

"But New York needs you and your brothers" Usagi replied leaving Jotaro on the ground "My world has enjoyed peace and comfort thanks to the agreements between clans and the technological advances that your brother Donatello has given us”

"Don't even tell me, he asked me to please take a video of his inventions, with his trademark" He said, showing a message from Donnie asking him that no one could profit from his inventions

"Dads! Come on! I want to start with my birthday!" Jotaro exclaimed, jumping like an excited rabbit.

"Calm down Jotaro, the festival is not going anywhere first we have to go leave our things with some friends of mine"

"Does Tomoe know we came?"

"Of course, we have to hurry to make the most of the day" Usagi said, taking Jotaro by the hand "Besides, Mari-san must be waiting with them"

"Mari-san?" asked Jotaro confused"

"So we say to Mariko, your mother"

Those last words were like the blade of a katana grazing Leonardo's neck. Even though Jotaro had both his and Usagi's DNA, thanks to Draxum and his abilities to create through mutagen, he was also the son of Mariko, ex-girlfriend and best friend of his husband Usagi, since they needed the DNA of a female turtle-mutant or rabbit-yokai when they wanted to have a baby., and as much as they wanted Jennika's, she was not the one, since she had previously been human and her mutant DNA was the same as Leonardo’s,So the only option was Mariko-san, who willingly and unconditionally agreed, since she was doing it for her childhood friend after all.

Leo proceeded to take his son's other hand and the three of them went together to the temple.

"This place is very nice!!" Exclaimed Jotaro

"I know, it's strange no longer hearing the everyday noises of the city"

"Well, at least it looks like the fights are multiversal" Leo said as he pointed to two Yokais fighting in a food stall.

"Hey! I asked you for a kilogram of apples!! Are you an idiot or what?!! Exclaimed a rather large Yokai-pig

"I-I'm so sorry sir, the scale failed and I'm using another method to weigh the food" stuttered the salesman yokai-marmot

"Well hurry up!!, what kind of place is this?!

"And I thought that Meatsweats was selective" Leo said with a slightly mocking tone "I'll take care of it"

"It's fine, but no threatening with weapons" Usagi told him

"What is dad going to do?" asked Jotaro

"He will only speak kindly to those gentlemen, don't worry”

"Is there a problem gentlemen?" Leo asked in a neutral voice.

"It's none of your business, Kappa!" exclaimed the pig

"The gentleman does his best to provide you with a service, you shouldn't pressure him like that...!" Before he knew it, the pig pushed him with both hands

"So you'd rather have that shell pressed on you?!" He yelled angrily as a crowd began to surround them.

"...I'd like to see you try..." Leo replied with a mischievous smile.

Without thinking, the Yokai-pig rushed towards him without knowing what awaited him. Leo began to dodge him with the martial arts of his clan, the pig could not give him a single blow and term falling to the ground because of how exhausted he was

"No one likes bullies like you" Leo said triumphantly.

"Be... a real man and fight for real!!" The pig yelled as he tried to get up.

"...If that's what you want" Said the turtle grabbing his katanas and just seeing their shine was enough for the Yokai-pig to run away from the place, screeching as only pigs know how to do"Uh, I thought it would be a duel to the death with knives" He said with a mischievous smile, returning his weapons to their place.

"Thank you very much, that bully is always around these parts and takes advantage of the smaller vendors" The little yokai vendor explained

"You don't have to worry anymore" Leo said as he looked for something in his bag "Here, this should fix the scale" he said as he handed him some special screws, patented by Donnie of course

"Arigato Kappa!!" He exclaimed the groundhog giving a slight bow

Leo bowed and left with his husband and son "Shall we go?" He asked him, taking Usagi's hand.

"You were amazing" Usagi said

"What can I say? I'm an expert in attracting attention" Leo replied waving the tail of his mask which hair was

"That was awesome Dad!!" Jotaro shouted "He went Ahhh !! And you dodged him with a Fiumm !! And then he ran away doing Oink!" Jotaro narrated while he laughed

"Remember Jotaro, your father used self defense before his weapons"

"I know, I know, I'll practice my defense more" The little hybrid replied

"Very well, now let's go to the temple"

And without further ado, the family held hands going to their destination, hoping not to have any more setbacks.

i think it's different each time! sometimes i'm drawn by the premise, or an interesting character design, or even the animation / art style! it doesn't have to be all of these at once, but i think in general i'm more drawn to action / fantasy / supernatural genres with really fleshed out characters!

What is something that immediately hooks you on an animanga?

interesting character dynamics for sure! not necessarily ship stuff although that's always a bonus lol. i'm a sucker for the found family trope or even just well-developed friendships! it just gets to me you know? 🥺💕

also when you can just TELL that the narrative is hinting at a really profound backstory and it slowly gets to unravel is SO good! my brain always tends to latch on to at least one pathetic wet cat of a man and that kind of fuels me through consuming content 😂😭 oh and i absolutely LOVE seeing deranged female characters as well 🥰

in general i always try to read first but i'm a bit more flexible when it comes to anime! when i come across a really good one sometimes i'll pause watching so i can go and read the manga first. although full disclosure i haven't read that much manga bc i always have trouble with the websites i use to read them and i'm lowkey scared they'll give my laptop a virus 😭 but i've been meaning to read more manga for sure! do you happen to have any recs??
