beginning
paige bueckers x reader
warnings:none, this will be the start of my new paige family series! feel free to drop ideas in my inbox. hope this is ok for you, i can into more detail if you’d like!
the first time you see the positive pregnancy test, you don’t believe it. after months of negative results, doctors’ appointments, and so many nights spent comforting each other when it felt like nothing was working, it doesn’t feel real.
but it is.
you call paige into the bathroom, your hands trembling as you hold the stick. “paige,” you whisper, your voice breaking.
she looks at you, confused for a second, before her eyes fall on the test. when she sees the two pink lines, her face lights up like you’ve never seen before.
“oh my god,” she breathes, taking the test from your hands and staring at it, her lips curving into a shaky smile.
“it’s happening,” you whisper, tears spilling down your cheeks.
paige pulls you into a tight hug, burying her face in your neck. “we’re having a baby,” she murmurs, her voice thick with emotion.
the first trimester is a mix of excitement and nerves. paige is constantly hovering, making sure you’re eating enough, resting enough, and not lifting anything heavier than a pillow.
“babe, i can carry the groceries,” you laugh one afternoon as she insists on hauling every single bag into the house.
“not a chance,” she replies, grinning. “our baby’s in there, and i’m not taking any risks.”
she spends hours reading parenting books, bookmarking baby names on her phone, and talking to your growing belly even when it’s too early for the baby to hear.
“hi, little one,” she whispers one night, her hand resting gently on your stomach as you lie in bed. “it’s me, your mama. i can’t wait to meet you.”
you can’t help but fall more in love with her every day.
by the second trimester, your bump has started to show, and paige is obsessed.
“look at you,” she says one morning, her hands gently cupping your belly as you get dressed. “you’re glowing.”
“i’m sweating,” you reply, rolling your eyes, but her grin is contagious.
she goes with you to every doctor’s appointment, holding your hand during the ultrasounds and tearing up when you hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time.
“that’s our baby,” she whispers, her voice full of wonder.
she also becomes extremely protective. when a random person at the grocery store tries to touch your belly, paige steps in with a polite but firm, “please don’t.”
“you’re like a guard dog,” you tease later, and she shrugs, unapologetic.
“i’m just taking care of my girls,” she says, pressing a kiss to your temple.
the third trimester is harder. your back aches, your feet are swollen, and you’re more exhausted than ever. but paige is there for you through it all, rubbing your feet at night, running out to get your weird cravings, and reminding you how beautiful you are even when you don’t feel like it.
“you’re amazing,” she says one night as she helps you settle into bed, her hand resting on your belly. “i don’t know how you’re doing this.”
“because i have you,” you reply, your heart swelling as she leans down to kiss you softly.
she’s the one who sets up the nursery, carefully assembling the crib and decorating the walls with soft colors and tiny basketball decals.
“our kid’s going to be a baller,” she says proudly, and you laugh, knowing she’s probably right.
when the contractions finally start, paige is a mix of nerves and excitement. she holds your hand the entire time, whispering words of encouragement and brushing your hair out of your face.
“you’re doing so good, baby,” she murmurs, her voice steady even though you can see the tears in her eyes. “i’m so proud of you.”
and when your baby is finally born—a tiny, perfect girl—paige is the first to hold her, her hands trembling as she cradles your daughter against her chest.
“she’s perfect,” paige whispers, tears streaming down her face as she looks at you. “thank you. thank you for her.”
you smile, exhausted but so full of love, watching as paige presses a gentle kiss to your daughter’s forehead.
“we did it,” you say softly, and paige nods, her eyes never leaving your baby.
“yeah,” she whispers, her voice full of awe. “we did.”

First Tattoo
Law x F!reader
CW: sfw, fluff and silliness
Summary: a (not so short- I swear I can't write anything short) blurb about reader being nervous for her first tattoo and asks Law to come to settle her nerves
A/N: thanks for this request @dreamcastgirl99 ! I had fun with it. Especially trying to incorporate the last lines. Every time I get a tattoo I hear it from the artists when I don't flinch 🤣 I hope you enjoy!! 💚
Your mind was made up, you had your tattoo design picked out, you had your appointment set up and suddenly, it was appointment day. Being your first tattoo you were SUPER nervous. It hurts right? It's gotta hurt. How bad does it hurt? Oh my God what am I doing? This is permanent. Do I really like the design we discussed? You think to yourself in rapid succession, biting your nails. Your face and chest feel hot. Your nerves are getting to you, quickly. “L-law?” You cry out, panic in your voice. He pokes his head into the room, “Hmm?” He says your name, “what's up?” his response laced with concern.
“I don't think I can do this. What if I regret this tattoo? It's stuck with me forever!” your voice on the verge of breaking. He chuckles, “It’ll be FINE! What you want is beautiful and you'll cherish it. It's just nerves. Want me to come with you for comfort?” He brushes your hair behind your ear. “Yes, please,” you whisper sheepishly, feeling slightly better knowing he'll be there with you.
You're on the island where you have your tattoo scheduled. Walking to the shop, you find yourself rambling- word vomit, when you're nervous. “They're going to disinfect the area, shave any hair, he'll put the stencil where you want it, and they just follow the stencil. It's really routine. You'll be fine,” Law attempts to reassure you for the umpteenth time. You shake your nerves out of your hands as you stand in front of the shop. “Ok. That sounds easy enough. Let's do this,” as Law presses a quick kiss on your temple.
“Alright, little lady. You ready to do this?” The tattoo artist has your tattoo stencil placed, he's got his gun, needle ready as he looks up at you from his chair. Your heart starts pounding again, you feel it like your heart will burst from your chest.
Hearing only the roar of your blood in your ears, you take a deep breath looking at Law. Your eyes are wide, you're trying to center yourself instead of panicking. He moves his chair next to you and grabs your hand, “You don't have to do this if you don't want to,” he whispers. “Will it hurt?” you ask with a slight tremble in your voice. As he gives your hand a reassuring squeeze, you take another breath. “Well, yea. I mean it hurts like hell,” Law was never one to mince words, even with you, despite the softness he showed only to you.
He senses your unease and clears his throat “But the spot you picked isn't super sensitive. Plus, you're YOU. You're tough. I've seen you go toe to toe with the scrappiest pirates in dark, dingy, bars,” he winks. You chuckle with him, taking a breath, and nod at the tattoo artist, “I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be.” He presses the needle to start and you twinge in pain, trying your hardest to keep still. It's a strange sensation. Like your skin is being scraped and pinched at the same time. After about 30 seconds you realize This actually isn't as bad as I thought. I can handle this.
You look over at Law and he smiles at you, “See? Everything is fine, right?” He studies your face to gauge where you're at. You exhale a long forceful breath, “Yea, it's actually not as bad as I thought. It was the nerves making it worse,” you chuckle. After an hour and a half, your tattoo is done. The artist moves so you can check it out in the mirror leaning against the wall. “So? How do you like it?” The artist and Law both ask. Your heart skips at the sight and you shake your hands in excitement, “Oh my gosh, I LOVE it! And it barely even hurt!” Law scoffs, “Tch, barely hurt? What are you talking about?” The tattoo artist laughed, throwing his head back, “Women always handle the pain better than men.” You can't help but laugh when you see Law glaring daggers at the shop owner.

He's Watching You Again - Bodhi Durran x Reader
Request: You’ve been catching Bodhi staring at you for weeks. Each time he quickly looks away and is too shy to actually speak to you. Until one day when you’re trying to carry too many books or weapons or something and you drop them all. Bodhi rushes over to help you pick them up and offered to help carry them which causes you to strike up a conversation, and suddenly shy little baby Bodhi becomes YOUR little baby Bodhi A/N: I am such a sucker for some cute Bodhi fluff. I hope you guys enjoy. Requests are open if you guys want to send anything in! Masterlist
It had started a few weeks ago. At least I had started noticing it a few weeks ago. Every now and then I would catch his eye before he quickly looked away, his cheeks flushed. I couldn’t help but admit it was cute, even peaked my curiosity about him. But every time I approached him or got close to him, he would bolt in the opposite direction like I was the plague. Often earning confused and worried glances from his friends at his sudden disappearance.
”He’s watching you again.” Imogen teases as we grab our packs and head out of battle brief.
I roll my eyes at her and shove her shoulder as I push past her, leading our way over to the Scribes Quadrant where we had been instructed to pick up some books for training later with some of the first year cadets by Xaden.
”Don’t know what you’re talking about.” I mutter as she catches up to me.
”Oh come on Y/N, we’ve all seen him starting at you. Or my personal favourite, when he runs away from you like you’re the plague. Never seen that boy run so fast in my life.” She muses as we push through the crowd trying to get to lunch.
”You’re looking too much into it.” I try to tell her confidently as we finally break through the crowd of cadets.
She cocks an eyebrow at me as she bites into an apple she must have snuck into her pack at breakfast. A smug look on her face.
”Something tells me his stares have caught your attention.” She teases, her turn to shove into my shoulder.
There was no hiding it from Imogen. We’d practically been attached to each other since day one here in the quadrant. We had never known each other prior to the rebellion or starting here, but we we’re one of the few marked ones in our year and in the same squad. So it was only natural we had gravitated towards each other. But despite that, it had not granted me friendship with Bodhi who she knew quite well.
”Look, I won’t deny it’s caught my attention.” I tell her as we stop in front of the doors to the archives, waiting for a scribe to come and help us. “But thats it. He wants nothing to do with me Imogen.”
”Are you sure about that?” She asks.
”He runs away anytime I am near him or go near him. Trust me, he either wants nothing to do with me or he’s scared of me or something.” I state as I hand the list of books to the scribe that has approached us.
Imogen’s laugh echoes off the walls, a few scribes in the archives glaring at the sudden outburst. “Girl he hangs out with Xaden and Garrick. Trust me, he ain’t scared of you.”
”Then he wants nothing to do with me. Simple as that.” I tell her bluntly.
”You keep telling yourself that.” She muses as the scribe returns with trolley laden with way more books than I was expecting.
We aren’t allowed to take the trolley, but the scribe is at least nice enough to help us stack the books into our arms before sending us on our way with strict instructions to have them back within the week. The walk back to the riders quadrant is slower than our trip over as we can barely see around the stack of books in our arms. Imogen and I tactfully using each other to help navigate our way back. Which so far had been a success. Right up until my boot catches on a small lip in the stone floor in the courtyard, books flying everywhere as my hands dart out to catch my self. I barely register the sound of rushed footsteps approaching till someone is kneeling in front of me.
”Are you ok?” The slightly unfamiliar voice asks.
I look up to see Bodhi kneeling in front of me, hands stretching out to see if I’m ok. As our eyes meet, his eyes go wide as if realising who he has rushed over to help. I can’t help but get lost in his dark brown eyes. They’re almost dark enough to pass as black, but up close I can see the dark chocolate hue to them.
”Yeah I’m ok. Just couldn’t see where I was going is all.” I tell him softly with a smile, hoping it might ease his nerves and not have him running away from me.
Bodhi breathes a sigh of relief and nods before looking at the books strewn across the ground. They we’re everywhere. I turn to find Imogen, but all I find is her retreating back as she leaves Bodhi and I alone in the empty courtyard. Bitch.
”I can help you carry them if you like. But it’s ok if you don’t want me to. And I’m not saying you can’t carry them, you’re definitely more than capable of carrying them yourself. Definitely don’t need my help. But I can if you want and-” Bodhi rambles before I reach out and place a hand on his arm, his body going rigid as he looks up at me in shock.
”Bodhi.”
”Y-yeah?”
I stand up and offer him my hand, pulling him up as he takes it. Gods he was tall. My neck craning to keep eye contact with him as he stands to his full height.
”I’d love for you to help me.” I say with a smile.
Bodhi smiles so wide it takes up most of his face before he rushes to pick up the scattered books, dropping a few in the process. He rushes back over to me with a far smaller pile than I had before. Clearly wanting to make sure I had a clear view of my path after my incident a few moments prior.
”Can’t have you falling in front of me again can we?” He jokes as he starts walking off in the direction Imogen had gone in with a pile of books placed firmly in his arms.
But little did Bodhi know, I was. I was falling. But instead of falling towards the floor at an alarming rate, I was falling head over heels for the shy and bumbling boy in front of me.

We are never, ever getting back together (pt 2)
afab!reader x Mike Schmidt
pt 1
WC: 3k
Warnings: 18+, MDNI, enemies to lover, afab reader, angst, mentions of alcohol, mentions of intoxication, slow burn, mentions of child abuse, no use of y/n, aged up character
A/N: I want to apologize for any confusion the first chapter might have caused! This fic is a Mike Schmidt fic. It's just a slow burn/somewhat(?) of a love triangle and I thought adding Clapton would be funny. (plus I’m in love with him…) Before you read, just as a warning, this chapter gets pretty deep.
Enjoy!
tags: @h3llo-k1tt @caminterrupted @jhutchismyl0verb0y
✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩✩
It's been almost a month since you and Clapton's hookup. He's been texting you nonstop. Text after text floods in, and you ignore them all. You feel bad, but you’re too embarrassed to even face him. You sigh, flipping open to Clapton’s contact to read the new heap of texts.
U good?
Miss you. Hope that ur ok.
Wanna hang?
Helloooo?
Okay. Just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of u.
You groan, slamming your phone back down on the bedside table. You enjoyed the night you two had, and it felt great at the time. But now you just feel like shit. Now all you think about is Mike, and how disgusted he was with you. While you’re thinking about Mike, you realize you haven’t seen or heard him in weeks. He’s been out of his apartment way more than usual, and you’re sure he's avoiding you. To be honest, you don’t blame him. If he pulled that on you, you’d up and leave.
You lay back down on the couch, grabbing the remote and turning on a movie, desperate to think of anything else but Mike or Clapton. Suddenly, you hear frantic knocking on your door. You reach for the remote and pause the TV. You sit silently for a minute, wondering if you were hearing things. Not only is it 8 pm on a Saturday, but you also aren’t expecting any guests. Who could possibly be knocking on your door? As you're about to un-pause the TV, more knocks echo and bounce off the walls.
You slowly get up from the couch, and wearily walk over to the door. You shift to the balls of your feet, trying to peer through the peephole. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion as all you see is the top of someone's head. You slowly wrap your hand along the cold metal of the knob, slowly turning it open. Your eyes widen as you see Abby on the other side.
Her face lights up, her eyes practically glowing. She squeals, bolting over to you and wrapping her arms around your waist. “Abby!” You scream, pulling her into you.
“I missed you so much! Mike said you moved away to your castle to be a princess!” You scoff inwardly, Mike’s lie making you despise him even more. "Where is your castle, by the way?" You glance down at her, ready to make up some insane lie. Before you get the chance, you look to your left, seeing Mike skirt around the corner, bee-lining towards you. He’s panting, his face red. “Shit- I’m... Sorry. She’s so fast.” You plaster a sickly sweet smile on your face, ensuring Abby doesn’t notice the hostility between you.
Mike takes Abby’s hands, prying her off you. “Heyy! I want to play with her! Please! Please, Mike!” She whines, giving Mike her best puppy eyes. He looks up at you, a guilty look falling over his features. He shrugs at you, waiting for your response. “Okay, come in!” You say, focusing on the little girl in front of you instead of Mike. The two of them walk into your apartment, Mike clearly not wanting her to be alone with you. You give him a dirty look and he rolls his eyes. Luckily, Abby’s too focused on your decor to notice or even care.
She runs around your apartment, oohing and ahhing at every fuzzy pillow and every cute decoration lining your shelves. She opens your bedroom door, and you think she’s about to explode. She looks back at you, her eyes wide. “You can go in.” You say, giggling as she wastes no time to roll around in all the stuffed animals you still keep on your bed. You quickly follow behind her, flinging yourself in the pile. Mike leans against the door frame, smiling as he watches you both stand up and jump up and down the bed. Abby stops, her eyes catching on something on your bedside table. She jumps down, her feet landing on the plush carpet. She grabs a heart locket off your bedside table, holding it up to the light. “Woah! This is so pretty!”
You immediately freeze, your face almost lighting on fire. You quickly grab it out of her hands, stuffing it in a drawer. “Mhm, so pretty! Why don’t we get out of the bedroom?” You steer her out of the room, sliding around Mike. You loved her with all your being, but her lack of an attention span seemed like it was out to get you.
As Abby sits down on the couch, you look over at Mike. His eyes are wide and his eyebrows are furrowed. He glances back into your room, the locket he got you for your 3rd anniversary haphazardly hanging out of the drawer. You both stare at each other for what feels like forever.
⚫︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡⚫︎
Mike opens your front door, not even bothering to announce his arrival. He sits down next to you, a huge smile on his face. “What?” You mirror his smile, confused as to what he might be so excited about. “Okay, I know our anniversary isn't for a few days but I- I just couldn’t wait. I'm sorry it's cheap, I couldn’t afford much.” He says, awkwardly.
He reaches into his hoodie pocket, taking out a velvet box. You look up at him sweetly, gasping as you open it. You pull out a heart-shaped locket. You feel your eyes well up as you open it, reading the words engraved inside.
“I’ll love you forever and Always, Mike.”
You fling yourself onto him and you wrap your arms around his waist. He pulls you into him kissing you sweetly. In between kisses you mumble out, “I love you so much.” You feel so loved and so grateful that you met someone like him. You didn’t care about the money, he was worth so much more than gold or diamonds to you.
⚫︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡⚫︎
You shake your head, pushing the memories out of your mind. Mike looks away from you, his cheeks growing rosey. You sigh loudly, sitting down next to Abby. Over the next few hours, you and Abby color what feels like a thousand different sheets of paper.
By 11 pm, you’re both lying down on the floor, markers and papers scattered all across your living room. Mike watches from the couch, telling Abby a story as she draws him. A few times, you both glance at each other, but you both quickly turn your gaze to Abby instead. After Abby finishes her drawing, she holds it up to you and him. “It's so good!” Mike says, taking the paper out of her hand. He starts pointing out small little details Abby included, gushing over each and every one. You’re utterly entranced as you watch him.
You miss him so much.
Your eyes widen and bite your cheek, wanting to slap yourself across the face for even thinking that. He abandoned you. That’s it.
But.. He loved you so much. Or at least you thought so. How could he just up and leave without a word? You wanted desperately for there to be any other reason. A part of you was convinced there actually was. You bite down harder, a salty metal taste erupting across your tongue.
Whatever happened, he left. That’s it. There’s no excuse. You clench your jaw, trying to ignore the roller coaster that’s running through your mind. Maybe… Maybe for now you can forget your distaste for him. Just for a few minutes.
You smile softly as he and Abby burst out laughing.
⚫︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡⚫︎
They leave. Too soon. As soon as the door shuts behind the both of them, the apartment is filled with deafening silence. You lay down on the hardware floor, the cold wood seeping through your shirt and biting into your back.
You never realized how much you truly missed Mike and Abby until you saw them tonight. Or… Maybe you just missed having someone to wake up to every day. Whatever it is, you shake it off and crawl onto the couch, too sad to walk a few feet to your bed. You pull a soft blanket over you, the edge of it just barely covering your feet.
You slowly drift off to sleep, dreaming of a time when you and Mike weren’t basically sending bombs to each other's front doors.
⚫︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡⚫︎
You bolt awake, sweaty and shaky. You look around, your heart beating out of your chest. You’re unsure of what woke you up, but it scared the shit out of you. Listening closer, you hear crying, no, wailing. And it’s coming from next door. You quickly bolt up, running to your door. But, you pause as soon as you reach it. You don't want to get involved with Mike and Abby's life more than you have to. Plus, it could just be one of her usual tantrums. It could even just be something as trivial as a burnt breakfast. You pivot, turning back towards the couch. As soon as you hear screaming, you tear up all of your inhibitions and run into the hall. When you reach Mike’s door, it flies open and a woman storms out, dragging an inconsolable Abby out.
The woman, who you recognize as Mike’s aunt, is gripping Abby’s arm so hard that the skin around her fingers turns white. Mike runs out of his apartment pleading with her, “You can see she doesn’t want to go! Please, just-” Abby digs her heels into the ground grabbing Mike's shirt with her free hand. Jane yanks Abby to her side, pulling her away from her brother. “I guess I’ll have to go to the police and tell them you kidnapped my niece! I have sole custody, not you, Michael!” Mike’s eyes go wide, the color draining from his face. He takes a step back, putting as much distance between him and Jane as possible.
You watch in shock, beyond confused about what had gone down during the two years you were broken up. “You truly are a despicable woman.” He says, disgust dripping from his voice. Mike crouches down, getting eye level with Abby. “Abby, I’ll see you soon. I promise, okay?.” His voice cracks as he reaches out, wiping her tears with his thumb. Abby wiggles out of her Aunt’s grip, running forward to wrap her arms around him. He pulls her closer as she sobs into his sweater. Aunt Jane rolls her eyes and then rips Abby away with absolutely no remorse. She drags her down the hall, turning the corner, and disappearing completely.
He sits down, pressing his back against the wall. He exhales, tilting his head back and staring into the fluorescent lights. You cautiously take a step towards him, “Mike…?” He looks over at you, his jaw clenching as he sees you. “Still can’t seem to mind your own business, huh?” He scoffs, his eyes turning away from you. You pause, crouching next to him. You desperately want to comfort him, but you just don't know how. “Can.. Can I do anything?” He looks over at you, his face twisting into a death stare. “For starters, you can leave me alone.” You flinch, feeling a wave of sadness rush over you. You can’t even imagine how he feels. “Mike, please..” You reach out, your hand brushing his.
He slaps your hand away, and screams, “I said leave me the fuck alone!” You stand up, taking a step backward. “I’m sorry for having a fucking heart, Mike!” He laughs, standing up. “Oh, you have a heart? Did you ever tell Clapton why you called him at 2 in the fucking morning?” You look away from him, swallowing. “That's what I thought. Leave me the fuck alone, and stay out of my life!” You feel tears burning your eyes, threatening to spill over. Your lip quivers as you speak, “All... All I wanted to do was help.”
“This is exactly why I left you.” He turns away, storming into his apartment. As soon as the door hits the frame you break down, falling to your knees in the middle of the hall.
⚫︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡♥︎♡⚫︎
You’ve been crying for hours straight, the tears seemingly having no end. Your pillow is drenched and tissues are splayed out all over your comforter. As you wallow in despair, the sun slowly sinks further across the sky, the only light illuminating your room being the white glow of the moon. It’s crazy to you how two entire years after your separation, Mike is still making you feel so extremely worthless. You could never be enough for him, no matter how hard you tried. What you hated most though, is that he had a point. You used Clapton. For your own sick and twisted reasons, you used him. And you hated yourself for it.
Just as you begin to sob harder, you hear a thud against the wall, coming from the hallway. The sound echoes through the walls again, and it sounds almost like someone ran into it. You hear someone grunt and struggle, cursing. You recognize the voice and you groan, taking everything in you not to get up and check on him.
Suddenly, it feels like someone takes control of your body as you walk to your door, stepping into the hallway. You see Mike fumbling with his keys, missing the keyhole every time. He’s clearly very intoxicated. It’s surreal seeing him in such a way. He never drank when you were with him, he always told you he had to make sure Abby was always looked after and always had someone to turn to. Now that she’s not here, you guess he decided nothing is stopping him from getting shitfaced.
You walk over to him, grabbing the keys out of his hands, and unlocking the door yourself. He looks over at you, and any ounce of disdain he held for you from earlier disappeared. “Thanks..” He says quietly. You invite yourself in, making sure he gets to the couch without hurting himself. You avoid eye contact the whole time, knowing if you glance at him for even a second you’d burst out into tears.
Once he’s settled, you turn to walk away, but you feel his hand grasp your wrist, stopping you. “Please... Please stay.” He pleads. You sigh, removing his hand from you. “I can’t keep doing this Mike…” You say, finally turning towards him. He has a guilty look on his face, and he suddenly can’t seem to look at you. “I... I didn’t mean it..” He slurs, his face tipped towards the ground.
You sit down next to him, your eyebrows raised. “You didn’t mean what..?” You question. “You know. What I said earlier. I do want you in my life…” He says, his eyes tracing the floorboards. You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Mike, you’re drunk.” He shakes his head, finally making eye contact. “I swear. I do. I mean.. just look at you. I treated you like dirt and you’re still helping me? You’re just.. so.. so nice.” You frown, wishing so badly he was sober. “You don’t know what you’re saying.” He reaches out, his warm hand cupping your face. His eyes bore into yours as he speaks. “I’m not ever going to lie to you again. I promise.” You’re not sure exactly what he means by “again” but you brush it off, chalking it up to more alcohol-induced rambles.
You stand up, Mike’s hand leaving your face and falling back to his lap. “I’m going to get you a glass of water, okay?” He nods, following your every move and watching you as you walk around his kitchen.
Your eyes begin dancing around every framed picture he has and every drawing Abby made he has clipped to the fridge. Your eyes settle on a picture of you, him, and Abby at an amusement park, almost exactly a month before he left you. You pick it up, your thumb rubbing over the scratches in the frame. That trip was unforgettable. That was the day you knew he’d be the one you’d spend the rest of your life with. You couldn’t imagine a world without him or Abby. You put it back, wondering why he still has it.
You fill up a glass, taking it back over to him. He drinks it in one gulp and he hiccups once it’s all gone. You place your hand on his chest, slowly pushing him back to get him to lie down. He takes the hint, lying back down on the couch. Your hand lingers there for a moment too long, but you quickly tear it away when he smiles up at you. The smile is still plastered on his face as he watches you drape a blanket over him. His eyes slip shut as he turns on his side, pulling the blanket to his chin.
You look down at him for a few moments. You just don’t understand how one moment you could hate him more than anything, and the next wish everything could go back to the way it used to be. You were half of yourself without him, and just as you started to feel complete he just had to infiltrate his way back into your life. As you watch his chest rise and fall, you just can’t help but still love him. Sadly, nothing was ever going to change that.
You slowly creep towards the door, the floorboards creaking under you. He speaks so quietly you almost don’t hear him, “There was never another girl..” You freeze and turn back to look at him. “What?” Is all you can say. He doesn’t give you any explanation for what he just grumbled. You convince yourself you’re crazy and you’re just hearing things.
That night, you don’t sleep at all. You keep replaying that moment in your head, over and over.
“There was never another girl.”

***
Moving away from home and starting your first year at a university was a challenging act on its own. So it was given that you were busy trying to adapt to the new college life, learning the campus layout, and establishing a daily routine. In other words– beginning to experience life as a university student.
But not only that. The university you had managed to get into was one of the most prestigious ones in the country and with the priciness of its tuition, you were glad to have landed several scholarships that needed extra effort.
Therefore, starting classes not only meant trying to cope with the pretty busy schedule change but also putting in your highest effort to keep your grades among the best. So you barely spent time socializing with people in the tight-knit community of the college campus. And a week into the semester, you still hadn't made any real friends yet, except for your roommate.
Still, even though you didn't belong to the social circles on campus and you never cared for gossiping, certain rumors spread so far that even you heard them. About these three guys, all seniors belonging to the privileged elite of the university, stirring quite the fuss– especially the raven-haired and the blond one.
It was the second week and your roommate and you were approaching the main entrance to your college building, ready to go to classes. But you stopped dead in your tracks, an all too familiar sight ahead of you. For a moment you questioned reality, having not seen him in almost a decade.
"What's he doing here?" You asked, stunned.
Of all places in the country you had to meet him here. Life has its shitty ways of fucking with you.
"Who?" Your roommate asked, her gaze following yours to some guys standing across the yard by the wall, smoking.
Staring straight ahead, you would've recognized him anywhere– hands lazily stuffed in the pockets of his dark ripped jeans, the usual bored expression on his face. That all too familiar mop of raven hair with bangs falling over his brows, those broad shoulders—
—and those incredibly piercing blue eyes that just now flicked up to look at you.
Shit, you tried to calm yourself, No need to panic. He won't recognize you after all these years.
But that hope was thrown out the door as quickly as it arose when he aimed a wickedly seductive grin right at you, his strikingly blue eyes continuing to observe you.
Damn, he knows.
"Ok, we gotta go. Now!" You swung around and swiveled around your roommate who struggled to catch up with you. "We're gonna take the back entrance."
"Hey, what was that just now?" She breathlessly asked.
"Nothing." You grumbled, reluctant to get as much distance between you and those mesmerizing blue eyes.
"Oh, don't you dare nothing me!" She took a few wider steps to catch up with you. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"You might be right about that," you muttered under your breath. "Let's go, we'll be late for classes."
***
A sound stirred you from your work assignment late at night. "You're not telling me something."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Looking up, you saw your roommate standing at the door of your bedroom.
She cocked an eyebrow, kicked off the door frame, and walked towards you.
"The raven-haired guy. This morning." She continued, "I saw him looking at you– and then you freaked out."
Oh no.
"It's Touya Todoroki." She stopped in front of you, placing her hands on her canted hips, "The hottest guy on campus, according to what I've heard."
"Don't know what you're talking about." You mumbled, the tips of your ears turning scarlet as you kept yourself busy counting the dust specs on the screen of your notebook.
"C'mon! I know you're hiding something," she sat down next to you, batting her pretty, long lashes at you. "You've got to tell me."
Inhaling deeply, you pinched the bridge of your nose, trying to calm your tired and overworked nerves.
"Alright." You sighed. "But this stays between us ok?"
"Pinkie swear!" She beamed at you, offering her smallest finger and you locked it with yours.
"Touya and his buddies Tenko, and Keigo—we used to be childhood friends. We grew up together living in the same neighborhood." You pulled your hand back and tugged a few loose strands of hair behind your ear. "We also went to the same elementary school."
"Aw, that's so cool!" She giggled, urging you to continue.
"Yeah, really sweet–" you huffed and looked straight at her. "Did you know he calls me Cheeks?"
"No—but that's adorable!" She smiled.
"You know what it stands for?" Cocking a brow you waited.
She shook her head.
"Buttcheeks." You inhaled deeply before continuing. "In second grade, he pulled my pants down in front of everyone - even the teachers. I was the laughingstock of the entire school for weeks."
"Oh sorry," Your roommate was visibly afflicted. "That's not so adorable."
You continued, picking up a few pieces of lint off your pants. "A year later, my parents and I had to move away to another state. That's when I saw him last."
"Mhhh, maybe he was a jerk back then," she pointed out, "But did you ever think about him having changed?"
"Nope. People like him don't change." You added bitterly. "I need to focus on my studies now, ok?"
"Yeah, sure." She sighed.
And with that, you ended the conversation, your roommate straightening up to return to her room and leaving you to finish your essay.
***
As you were leaving your classroom, you stopped dead in your tracks seeing Touya with Keigo and Tenko, leaning his back against the building wall, observing you, hands buried deep in the pocket of his pants.
Touya just rocked the hottest-guy-on-campus look. Even though his frame was lean, he was well-toned, his body reeking of masculinity. He was wearing a plain black long-sleeve shirt, tight black pants, biker boots, and rings on his hand as well as piercings in his ear.
But it wasn't just his physique. His presence alone took up space and dominated like nothing else and you had to take a few moments to catch your breath. A few moments that were over too quickly when he started to strut over into your direction, his eyes strikingly light blue.
You instantly turned to make an escape, but at that same moment a door to a lecture room opened and a crowd of students poured out, crushing your plans to get away.
"Well well well, if it ain't Cheeks," an arm slung around your neck. "Of all places, I've never expected to run into you here."
The subtle scent of expensive cologne surrounded you and his own scent, warm and masculine at the same time. He smelled amazing, and it left a feeling in you that you couldn’t place your finger on.
Shit.
"Fuck off, Touya…" you mumbled, a bit of color rising to your face.
"Why so rude?" He chuckled and leaned in closer.
A group of students had stopped to watch the two of you talk, chattering behind raised hands.
"What are you doing here?" You tried to get away from him but his embrace was too tight.
"Could ask you the same." He hummed back with a curious grin on his face.
"I'm enrolled in classes, duh." You remarked, trying to keep your tone flat.
"Heh, I'm a Senior." His free hand came to pinch your cheek.
"Did your dad bribe the University Board to get you in?" You looked sideways at him, shamefully breathless at his close proximity.
His eyes seemed so captivating—more than they used to when he was a kid.
"Naah— got in here myself." He grinned, icy blue eyes flashing. "Excellent grades."
"Doubt it." You hissed at him.
"You're hurting my feelings, Cheeks." He gave you a light chuckle that you felt way too much in your chest.
Rolling your eyes at him, you finally managed to shrug his arm off as he loosened his hold on you—when you heard another voice closing in. "Hey, Touya, who's that Hottie here?"
It was Keigo, narrower and shorter in build than Touya, with windstrewn ash blond hair swept messily backward. He was blatantly showing off his wealth, wearing luxury label clothes, and sporting a huge Breitling aviator watch on his wrist.
"Don't you recognize her?" Touya glanced at him over his shoulder.
The blonde looked at you with a slight arch in his eyebrow. Then his golden eyes lit up in surprise. "Shit, it's Cheeks!"
"Damn, it is," Tenko muttered, who just joined the three of you. With the long tangled hair and the simple, black hoodie pulled over his head, he seemed more innocent than the other two, which was a welcoming change. The only thing giving him away was the rather geeky expensive Devon Star Wars watch at his wrist.
His cheeks reddened behind his pale bangs when your eyes met and he muttered a shy, "H-Hi Cheeks…" before averting his gaze, awkwardly scratching his nape with his fingers.
Keigo however, stepped even closer, his golden brown eyes mustering you as he leaned in, flirtatiously. "So—you got a boyfriend?"
"Nice move, but– no." You groaned. "Not interested in one as well."
Just as Keigo was about to say something Tenko interrupted, looking at his watch. "Guys, we need to go now if we wanna get to class in time."
"Yeah, we're coming." Touya looked at you with an amused glint in his azure eyes before turning to leave.
"See ya, Cheeks." He waved goodbye as they strolled off.
You couldn't help but follow him with your eyes, when suddenly Touya stopped to toss you a look over his shoulder, grinning when he caught you staring, before continuing on his path.
Shit, you felt your cheeks burn. Shit, shit, shit.
Your roommate, who had stood off to the side unbeknownst to you now stepped close, letting out a deep sigh, "Sorry, didn't want to interrupt. But damn, are you lucky."
You bit your lips as you continued to watch him. "Jerk. I hate him."
"Oh, are you sure? You blushed there quite a bit, I'd say." She sheepishly added.
"Thin ice, girl." You pursed your lips at her, "Very thin ice."
She only giggled in response.
"I would give everything to be fucked by that guy." She gazed at where he was walking off with Keigo and Tenko. "C'mon, just look at him!"
You leveled her with a flat look and folded your arms under your chest. She sighed.
"Girl, he's rich!" She wiggled her hand in his direction, "His dad is fucking loaded!"
"I don't care about all that, you know me" you commented nonchalantly.
"But—I heard he's even going to graduate summa cum laude." Her eyes became dreamy, "If you land with him, you hit the jackpot."
"Oh, s'that so?" You picked up your bag. "You can have him. I'm not interested"
"You should be. I heard he also fucks like a God."
"Good thing I'm an atheist then." You winked at her and turned to walk away, trying to ignore the wet stickiness in your panties that wasn't there before.
***
The following weeks were absolute torment. Even though Touya was a senior and the paths you crossed were rare, he was constantly around, repeatedly seeking you out in the crowd, his little naughty grins always catching you off guard and making your face heat up. He was smooth, you had to admit, and surprisingly persistent– despite your constant rebuffs.
So it wasn’t long until your name unwantedly became the talk on campus. People were staring at you, muttering behind your back, wondering who that normal girl was that managed to get Touya Todoroki's attention. You weren't used to the looks that everyone was giving you, and felt utterly uncomfortable.
Whenever possible, you avoided large groups of people while on campus. Still, it was unavoidable that some girls' stares always followed you, their whispers behind raised hands a constant backdrop in your head.
It was frustrating, in more ways than one. Because even though you tried to deny it, you started catching yourself having constant thoughts about Touya. And they weren't exactly innocent ones. Whenever you saw him from afar, your chest tightened and your heart thundered a thousand miles a minute. You couldn't shrug off this feeling of wanting to be close to him, to hear his sultry voice, and to run your hands through his raven hair.
Albeit your own feelings – or rather to deny them – you dedicated yourself to your studies for the next few weeks. So it was no surprise that when midterms came around, your relentless studying paid off, walking out of classes with the highest grades of all.
***
It was late spring and a sudden heat wave had hit your area, making everything unbearably sticky and gross. You opted for a midday walk as some sort of a stress reliever when you heard steps approaching and a familiar voice saying "Hi Cheeks–"
Touya came to a stop right in front of you, dressed in a short sleeve shirt. Intricate black and blue flame tattoos decorated both his arms, complementing his natural looks perfectly.
After reaching inside the pocket of his jeans, he took a cigarette out of the box he had retrieved, and placed it between his lips. He lit it up, a cloud of smoke billowing up in the air as he exhaled deeply. His smoldering turquoise eyes dragged up your body and stopped at your lips.
"Wanna go eat something, Cheeks?" His gaze continued to linger on your lips.
"Sorry, I think I just lost my appetite." You deadpanned.
"Cmon–" He tilted up his chin, looking at you, smirking.
"Touya, I'm not interested."
"But I'm hungry…" And his eyes flicked back to your lips.
"Go eat alone then." You mumbled.
Looking up at him, you noticed his rapturous looks, something wicked and flirtatious flickering behind the azure hue of his eyes. Your stomach somersaulted and you knew it was lust in his heavy-lidded eyes when your gazes locked.
"I'm not hungry for food, Cheeks—" his voice was husky, successfully making your spine tingle.
"Oh for God's sake," you tried to swat his chest but he dodged gracefully, a playful smile on his face, taking another drag of the cigarette he was holding between his fingers.
You couldn't help but stare at his sinfully seductive lips, the way they urged to be kissed—
Okay, let’s not go there, you mentally slapped yourself.
But you were caught already as he observed the way your cheek reddened and cocked his head, eyebrows raised. “Bet you're thinking about me right now, Cheeks.”
"Excuse me?" You lied, the spreading blush reaching your ears, “F-Fuck off Touya!"
You felt like you were seconds away from exploding, with your heart rate blasting through the roof.
"I think I'm making you nervous." He grinned,
"God, you're so full of yourself–" you started.
Luckily a high smooth voice interrupted your little bantering.
"Hey Toto, been looking everywhere for you!" a stunning girl approached.
Touya didn’t even pay a glance as she got close to him, manicured fingers trailing up his arm.
"Missed you, baby" she pouted her plush lips at him, "Why haven't you answered any of my calls?"
Touya sneered, his usual bored expression back on his face, "Should be self-explanatory."
He placed his cigarette between his lips again, sucking in his cheeks, his hooded gaze not leaving yours.
The girl was stunned by his rude reply but then seemed to brush it off. Moving her face close to his, she purred, “What’s with the attitude, baby?"
"Told you, I have other plans..." Ignoring her completely, his eyes continued to be trained on you as smoke billowed around his face.
Even though he was clearly not interested in that girl, it still left a pinch of bitterness in your heart. You felt disappointed. You'd heard that he had gotten around quite a bit– but seeing the girl just being so much better looking than you made you feel so inferior, so ugly, so—
—you had to get out of here. Now.
"I think you should satisfy your hunger with her," you pointed out and before he could reply, you shouldered your bag and left down the path to the library.
You heard Touya call after you but then the high-pitched voice of the girl interrupted, followed by rough cussing on his behalf before you could get out of earshot.
Serves him right.
***
This irritating, depressing sting of jealousy had been gnawing away at your heart ever since the scene outside with the girl and left you almost sleepless at night. Let's face it, you weren't exactly a virgin anymore either. But your experience had been rather—bleak, to put it nicely. With some random guy. For a whooping ten seconds. Leaving you beyond unsatisfied.
But Touya– he must have been in bed with so many girls, must have gathered so much experience that the thought alone made the bile of jealousy rise in your stomach. And as it was apparent to you, all the girls he had were all pretty and perfect and you couldn't help but feel inferior to them. And you hated yourself for thinking this way.
But that wasn't the only thing keeping your thoughts occupied– no. You couldn't quite shrug off the idea that – even though he served her off, or maybe just because of that – each girl was just a joke for him. As were you.
You had just finished your last lecture for today and, grabbing your iPad from the counter you winced, a stinging pain shooting through the tip of your finger. You pinched it between your thumb and index finger, seeing a splinter stuck in it. You knew you had to wait till later to get it out with tweezers at home.
You sighed as you exited your classroom ready to head outside—when you felt a soft hoodie sleeve slide along your neck as an arm draped around your shoulder, the subtle scent of expensive cologne and cigarette smoke starting to engulf you.
It was familiar, comforting—
—and yet still so unwelcomed.
"There you are, Cheeks, missed ya." Touya's low, sultry voice close to your ear sent instant shivers up your spine.
Your step faltered and you spun around only for another arm to coil around your waste. Dragging your gaze from his chest up to his face you instantly shrunk beneath the intensity of his stunning blue eyes. Your mouth opened but nothing came out, too struck by how inexcusably handsome he looked up this close.
"That really hurts, huh?" He said with his husky voice, looking down at your finger.
"Let go of me, Touya" you shivered under his touch and tried to shake off his arm.
His eyes never left yours as his hand wrapped around your hurt one, bringing it close to his face. Breathlessly, you watched as he latched his lips around your fingertip and flicked his tongue over the wound before starting to suck.
You inhaled sharply, as a piercing pain shot through your finger, his eyes heavily lidded with lust and desire when you locked gazes.
Shit.
Suddenly, the pain was gone and he released your finger. He stuck out his tongue, the splinter sitting on its tip. He turned his head to spit it away and let go of you, smoothing his hair back. He watched with an amused grin while your cheeks went slowly ablaze.
"D-Don't do that, Touya," you stuttered.
He leaned close, propping himself against the wall next to you. There was that smirk again— the one that made your heart skip a bear. His hand came up to tug a strand of hair behind your ear and his light warm touch had your stomach flutter.
"Don't do what?" He cooed.
"D-Dont touch me." Your tongue felt heavy in your mouth and you could hear your heartbeat in your ears.
Damn.
You hated it. You hated how he made you feel inside, how he made your body react to him. You felt heat rising inside of you again and your resentment towards him increased.
“I'd say you like my touch,” he smirked a bit wider seeing the rosy blush spread on your face. "It's more than obvious."
“You wish,” you retorted, shifting to the side, further away from him.
"And I need to go now, I need to work on my scholarship project." You mumbled as Touya watched on with his lazily lidded eyes.
As you took a step away from him, you felt him hold you back by your arm.
"Wait!" He called out and you stopped, staring straight ahead.
“Listen, Cheeks. I want to apologize,” he sighed, sounding pensive. “You’re busy and here I’ve been, like, keeping you from your work."
Turning around you took him in. He seemed apologetic. And honest.
"I really like spending time with you." He cocked his head, slowly releasing his hold on you. "Why don’t you tell me what the assignment is about so I can make up for distracting you by helping out?"
This was unexpected. His honest expression caught you off guard, and, hesitating for a moment, you told him about your assignment. Not before throwing him a glare–out of mere spite.
"Well, come to think of it," he mused, "That's a topic I aced last year. I could help out."
Of course, he did, you mentally slapped yourself.
"Ok, here's my offer," his smile became wider. "I'll book a quiet room at the library and help you out."
"Ok, but we only study." You scrunched your nose cutely at him.
"Aw Cheeks, I'm hurt that you think so lowly of me." He chuckled, "Of course, we will only study—promise."
His cerulean eyes were lit up beautifully, bright, with a glint of his usual mischief in them, but also integrity. It brought back memories of when you were kids, of how he used to look at you back then. Full of contentment and—
"Ok," you declared defeat. "Three o'clock. Library. For studying."
He whipped out his phone, asking for your number and typing it down in his contact list.
"Yup, just for studying." Placing his phone in the back pocket of his jeans, he leaned in and pecked your cheek before you could even register his actions. "See ya at three, Cheeks!"
And then he strutted off, hands lazily stuffed in his pockets. As you watched him leave, you noticed the whispers from your classmates as he passed, some eyes even trained on you. It made the heat in your face even more obvious and you quickly turned to walk away.
***
It was half past two and you were sitting at one of the reading tables aligned along the wall in the basement of the library. Touya had texted you that he had successfully booked a room down there. As you were trying to kill time, you were reading in preparation for the meeting. The supportive stone pillars served as dividers in between the tables, yet not as any kind of soundproofing.
At the table adjacent to yours, two girls had been keeping you from studying, irritating you with their endless gossiping. Finally, it sounded like they were gathering their stuff when—
"Have you heard the latest news about Touya?" The first one whispered.
"Spill the beans, bestie!" The other urged.
Oh no, here we go, you thought, clearly annoyed by the fact that every girl seemed to know something about him.
"A girl I know from a party said she slept with him recently." The first one started.
You rolled your eyes. This was the worst conversation to listen to. You tried to focus back on the book, starting to read the first line when—
"You know, she claimed they did it here — in this library."
Oh for Christ's sake, you slammed your hand on the pages. You were close to standing up and leaving. But the desperate urge to want to hear where this was heading took control.
"No way, that's so hot!" The other girl gushed.
"Yeah, can you believe it? She said he invited her for a study session." You heard her shifting in her seat.
You froze, all blood starting to drain from your face.
"What, really?" The other girl's voice was high with excitement. "That's so treacherous. And naughty—"
"He signed up for a quiet room and then they fucked—" there was the sound of fabric rustling as the first one stood up.
You didn't listen any further as all sounds around you started to disappear. The pen you had clutched between your fingers slipped away from your grip, clattering onto the table.
Your heart pounded in your ears and your throat constricted. With your stomach churning and tears starting to form, the world seemed to spin as you slowly rose on your wobbly feet, snatching your belongings.
As you started walking, it felt like gravity had been turned up as every muscle in your body suddenly felt too heavy to move.
God, why did you fall for this…
***
"Please!"
"No." You scoffed.
"Pretty please?!" Your roommate tried again.
"Still no."
Considering for a second, she continued, "I'll do the dishes for the entire next month."
Contemplating your answers for a second, you exhaled heavily. "Still no."
She groaned out loud, but then offered with a mischievous smile on her face. "I know secrets about you that I'm not gonna hesitate to spill."
"You wouldn't dare—" You let out a harsh breath, eyes flicking up to meet hers.
"Try me!" She boasted.
You turned your attention back to your studies.
"Ok, dishes and groceries. For a month."
You let out a deep sigh, closing your book with a loud clap. "Fine."
***
So, this is how you ended up at Keigo's birthday bash - organized and hosted by none other than Touya Todoroki.
You wanted to leave before you had even arrived. Ever since you walked out of that library a week ago, you had successfully avoided Touya and ignored every one of his calls or messages. And now you were here, able to run into him at any minute.
The party had been the talk of campus for quite a while and everyone had taken desperate measures to get their hands on the limited tickets. Even though Tenko teued to convince you to attend, you kept refusing. That was, until your roommate came into your room, fanning her face with two of those most sought-after invitations, courtesy of Tenko, and bribed you into joining her.
The party took place in an opulent suite at the noblest hotel in town, owned by none other than Enji Todoroki, Touya's dad.
Standing against the wall in a corner of the spacious two-story living room area, you took a glimpse around to take in the scene. There was a huge bar and a professional flair bartender currently doing a performance flipping his mixers and bottles, perfectly emphasizing the sleek contemporary furniture.
The entire room was filled with pro lighting effects tailored to the music of a professional DJ playing off to the side. A huge luxury buffet with an assorted arrangement of foods - all masterfully prepared - was placed against the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. It wasn't only a feast for the eye, but also one to spoil the palette.
Your roommate had already excused herself to approach some of the Seniors standing at the bar, leaving you to yourself sipping on your gin & tonic. Sliding your free hand along your dress, you nervously tugged at its hem, trying to pull it down further. Your roommate made you buy it earlier this afternoon and it felt way too short and way too tight for your liking.
You sighed and stepped towards the well-endowed buffet table when an arm wrapped around your waist from behind and pulled you around.
"Hey, Cheeks!" A voice whispered close to your ear– but it wasn't Touya's. Blond hair tickled your cheek as Keigo dipped his head against the curve of your neck, his warm soft lips grazing your skin.
"Keigo, let me go."
"But you feel so nice." He slurred, a hand starting to wander lower. "And warm."
"Keigo–" You tried to free yourself from his embrace, "Let. Me. Go!"
"Sorry, not happening," holding you with one arm tightly, he quickly chugged a glass filled with whiskey he was holding before placing it carelessly on a catering table nearby.
You tried to push against him but years of being on the Varsity Team had obviously paid off – he didn't budge an inch.
"Lemme kiss you..." He whispered against your neck, tongue dipping out to taste you.
An uncomfortable feeling spread through you, his breath hot against your skin, heavy with the scent of whiskey.
"Keigo, keep your hands off me–" You kept struggling against his hold as his hand slid down from your waist to your ass. “I swear to God, I’ll punch you."
Just that second you were pried out of Keigo's grip. You lost your footing and stumbled back against a warm body, a strong arm keeping you from falling. Seeing Tenko casually restraining an obviously drunk Keigo, a suspicion arose as to whose arms you were in. As you tilted your head up, a pair of mesmerizing blue eyes glanced down at you, a mischievous glint in them.
Yep. Touya.
"Please don't punch him." Touya chuckled, making sure you had safe footing before releasing you and sending you an apologetic smile. "He's just a bit drunk."
The blond man swayed in Tenko’s embrace, grinning stupidly at you, "Pfff, I'm not drunk! I'm sexy…"
"Well, you better keep restraining me or else I'll punch his pretty face nonetheless…" You growled in return.
"Ha! She said I'm pretty," the Blonde beamed, obviously delighted about your description of him.
"Tenko, please take Keigo over there," Touya nudged his head towards the other side of the room, "I saw a bunch of sorority girls looking for him."
"Yeah Tenko," Keigo's face turned bright and he slurred, "Let's go get some ass!"
And with that, he raised his fist and stumbled off through the crowd, with Tenko rushing after him but not before rolling his eyes in annoyance.
Trapping your chin between his thumb and index finger, Touya angled your face upward as he raked his eyes over your features. "You're OK there, Cheeks?"
His scent was intoxicating. It numbed your mind and sent heat straight down between your legs. Embarrassingly enough, you noticed how just this subtle gesture of affection had your panties stick wetly to you in an instant.
"Thanks, Touya," you muttered and tried to push past him, trying to get away from him.
But he was quick to wrap his arm around you, keeping him close to you.
"Nuh-uh, you're staying with me." He grinned, picking up a nearby fresh glass filled with amber liquid from a table. "You keep disappearing on me…"
"Oh, so what—you need me to punch you as well?" You cocked a brow at him.
"Worth the risk." A smugness settled on his face as he took a sip of the amber-colored drink from his glass.
The liquid glistened on his lips and your eyes flicked unconsciously to them before he licked it away. They were the most alluring feature, soft and slightly parted—and again you couldn't help but fantasize how they would feel pressed against yours.
You were quick to avert your gaze again. But an unwanted desire grew in your chest, and you clenched your thighs in an attempt to stop the heat from spreading.
But Touya's mouth quirked suspiciously at the corner, having seen your wandering gaze.
You took a deep breath to keep your annoyance at bay. "What are you smiling at?"
"Hmmm let me think…" he tipped his head and added with a cheeky expression "You, staring at my lips?"
"No, I wasn't," you braced your hands against his chest in an attempt to free yourself.
Heat bloomed in your cheeks when you felt him, all the firm muscles under his soft shirt, warm and solid, his strong heartbeat pounding against your palm.
Shit.
It stirred something inside you, making you aware of just how attractive he was, how close you were to him, feeling the heat radiating off his body, his sweet breath fanning your face. The blush kept spreading to your ears especially when you noticed something else that was solid as well. And it was pressing against you.
Just lower.
Your body felt hot all of a sudden and you tried to blame the little alcohol you had consumed so far. But the thought of how his chest would feel, bare underneath your skin, how it would feel to press your lips against it clawed its traitorous way into your brain.
Luckily the train of thought was cut short.
"I'm pretty sure you were staring at my lips," He fought back a grin as he raised an eyebrow.
Bastard, you cursed inwardly a few times for having been caught red-handed.
"No, I wasn't," you answered, wincing inwardly from sounding so weak.
A pleased sound rumbled deep in his chest. "I think you're lying, Cheeks."
Why is he so infuriating, insufferable and so–
– goddamn attractive.
"Touya, please–" it came out as a mere whisper while you swallowed nervously.
“Please what?” He tilted his head, looking amused. “You don’t have to be shy, you know.”
He was obviously having a blast with your reaction. He has always been like that. One second he was nice and sweet and the next second his blatant cockiness annoyed the hell out of you.
“I’m not shy.” You tried to defend yourself. "You're just annoying, that's all."
His eyes slowly dropped down to your mouth and you felt it straight in your belly. It took over your senses and clouded any coherent thoughts.
“And you’re pretty." Touya whispered, leaning in further.
“What do you want from me?” You trembled beneath his gaze, suddenly feeling so vulnerable.
“Isn’t it obvious?” Tilting his head to the side, he angled his mouth above yours. “You."
You could feel his warm breath on your lips, the tip of his nose tickling yours. Maybe he did change. Maybe he really was interested in you. So without thinking any further you let your lids flutter shut, parting your lips when–
"Oi Touya!" A guy shouted at him over the noise of the crowd and the music, "Am I interrupting something?"
Your eyes shot open as both turned your heads towards a young man with short auburn hair approaching, wearing a black shirt and white tie.
"'Course you fucking are, dipshit!" Touya growled at him, obviously not happy about the guy's appearance.
The other took you in before asking, wearing a stupid grin on his face. "What happened to the cute blond girl from before? No wait, she was brunette, wasn't she—?"
"Shut it," Touya hissed, loosening his hold on you as he was ready to approach the other man.
Memories of the conversation between the two girls at the library flooded your mind and it churned another feeling inside you— one of betrayal. And suddenly you felt so dumb for thinking that he'd ever change. He would always be the guy who humiliated you and would do it again without thinking. And with that last thought, you dove under Touya's arm to start digging your way through the crowd toward the exit.
There was a loud cuss as your dark-haired admirer picked up the pursuit. But even though he was larger and stronger, you were quite agile, twisting and diving around and under people.
"Cheeks, stop!" Touya called after you.
But you didn't think of it. You almost reached the door when fingers clamped around your wrist and pulled you back.
"Fucking stop running!" Touya glowered at you, his tone aggravated.
"Let me go!" You dug your fingers under his to try to free yourself from his grip.
"Hell no," he hissed and turned around to drag you up the stairs with him. "We're gonna have a talk."
"I don't want to though." You continued to struggle.
"I don't care, I'm sick of this!" He didn't even look at you as he arrived at the mezzanine floor.
"Touya please, you're hurting me," you whimpered, his grip on your wrist relentless as he kicked open the first door.
Touya shoved you into the room, booting the door shut behind him and you stumbled, catching yourself on the couch. Turning around you visibly paled. Touya stood in the doorframe, you'd never seen such a serious expression on his face. As he started approaching, you backed up, shrinking away under his intense glare.
"Touya, let me go–" Your voice sounded too shaky to be strong.
"No, you're not leaving until we've talked." He answered while approaching.
"You're scaring me—" You stepped further back until your back hit the wall.
He was taking another stride until his body was directly in front of you, slamming his hands against the wall next to your head, caging you in.
"Touya—" You sniffled, "What's gotten into you?"
The blue of his eyes was dark, pointed sharply at you.
"You're asking what's gotten into me?" His voice was dangerously low and rumbling. "Should ask you the same! Every time I wanna talk to you, you run away."
You cringed at his harsh words, his mouth pressed to a thin line, its corners angrily twitching.
"I want an explanation" He lifted his hand to slam it against the wall again, giving his words ample support.
"You pulled down my pants!" You yelled at him.
There. You said it.
His expression turned puzzled, seriously taken aback.
"You're still mad at me for that?" His tone turned more aggravated.
“You ridiculed me!” You glared back at him, feeling your eyes watering up.
"That was ages ago!" He slammed his palm against the wall again. "I was a fucking dumb kid!"
Your bottom lip was trembling when your eyes locked. Frustration and anger clawed their way up your chest and without thinking you blurted out, "And what about the girl you fucked in the silent room? Were you gonna pull the same stunt on me?"
Your entire body was trembling by now, tears sitting heavy at your lash line.
"What the—no! Who told you that bullshit?" By now, he seriously seemed confused.
"It's no bullshit!" You spat back, "Some girls talked about it while I was waiting for you."
"So, that's why you left…" his eyes darkened, "Listen Cheeks, people say a lot of shit about me. If you would've just asked–"
"And what about that blond–" you cleared your throat, trying to suppress a sob, "No, brunette girl earlier on?"
"Oh for fucks sake!" Touya's anger was palpable by now. "Kai hates me and always makes up shit like this just to get at me."
"I don't believe you." You turned your face sideways to avoid his gaze.
He stared at you in disbelief for a moment, before—
"You don't believe me?" He almost yelled at you. "I've been honest with you the entire time and you have just been so—aaahhh!"
He slammed his palm against the wall again. You flinched at its impact, a single tear freeing itself from your damp eyelashes, making its way down your cheek. Another one quickly followed. You choked on a gasp and noticed you had held your breath. Slowly, you breathed through trembling lips.
A heavy silence settled between you, the only audible sound being his heavy breathing and your silent sobs.
There was a subtle touch to your cheek as a warm hand gently cupped your face, turning it towards him.
"Look at me," he said, his voice much softer.
You did, your gaze slowly rising to meet Touya's eyes. All anger was gone from his features, another expression instead passing over his face, one that was almost... tender. And affectionate.
His azure eyes took you in, the way you sniffled softly, another tear rolling down your cheek. His thumb brushed the tiny drop of salt water away as he continued gazing at you.
"Never made a girl cry like this before." His voice was low and made your heart pick up a beat, "Except for in my bed underneath me."
You giggled, sniffling, and leaned into his comforting touch. "You're such a dick…"
"I know," he chuckled and shifted forward, subtly eating up the space between you.
You could feel his warm breath fan over your skin. Then his lips ghosted over your cheek, the tip of his tongue dipping out to lick away the salty warmth of a single tear.
"Please forgive me?" He murmured against your skin, moving lower, following the trail of your tears, licking them up, one by one.
It was hard trying to formulate a response with his warm lips on your skin. You tried to say something, tried to push him away but you had forgotten how to speak – how to move.
"Yeah, that's what I thought," he breathed and adjusted his direction, going lower, and lower, his tongue flicking out to lick the corner of your mouth.
You sucked in a little breath of surprise and he took the small advantage to move his mouth over yours, dipping his tongue inside.
You let your eyes flutter shut, your entire brain short-circuiting as it hit like a lightning strike. You forgot yourself, forgot everything else except for the tip of his tongue on yours.
Your mouths started to sensually and slowly work against one another as were your tongues, leaving you lightheaded and knees buckling as you moved your hands up to steady yourself on his hips.
He smelled and tasted like the best thing you've ever tasted, with warm skin, and a hint of smoke. You kept kissing like that, his hand cupping your face, sliding behind your neck, to cup your nape, to angle your face and pull you deeper into the kiss.
You felt his thigh slip between yours, pinning you in place. The unmistakable press of something stiff against your hips caught your attention, making you gasp into his mouth. Goosebumps cascaded up and down your body and you felt each hair stand on end.
With each roll of your tongues, he humped his clothed erection against your core. A small whimper spilled past your mouth and it earned you a quiet hum of approval in response.
You were starting to lose your mind as you continued to intensify the kiss, mouths working against one another. He groaned at the way you ground your hips forward, meeting his in a desperate attempt to feel more of him.
His movements became erratic before he pulled back, panting heavily, eyes dark and hooded with lust.
"Jesus fucking–" his words came out hoarse and breathy.
Then his hands swept along the back of each of your thighs to lift you off the floor and onto his hips.
You squealed his name against his lips as he swung you around and laid you down on the soft sheets of the queen-sized bed in one swift motion, his mouth not once leaving yours.
Fitting himself between your legs, he spread them easily with his body, grinding his pelvis against your clothed heat, making sure you felt just how huge he was and how much he wanted you.
With each rut, he pressed his throbbing cock directly against your sensitive nub. It had your blood boiling, your core clenching and you canted your hips to meet his, the coil inside of you tightening by the second.
"Touya–" you panted into his mouth, nails digging into his shirt.
It felt better than anything you could've imagined. The pressure in your guts increased, the coil wound tighter and tighter, a white heat starting to blister, and with the next press of his hips against your mound—
“Touya, wait!" you gasped against his mouth, but it was too late.
Your orgasm exploded and had you moan into his mouth, back arching off the soft mattress, pressing your breasts against him.
His movements stalled and he looked at you with a puzzled look on his face.
"Did you just…?" A surprised smirk spread on his face.
You just laid below him, trying to catch your breath, cheeks bright red and lips raw and swollen from the intensive kissing.
"Yes, you did!" His soft chuckle vibrated through you, making you squirm underneath him.
"S-Shut up," you muttered, your hand raising to cover your blushing face.
"I think it's cute." A hand slid into your palm, fingers interlacing with yours as the other rose to brush a piece of hair away from your eyes.
"I'm just sensitive." You tried to explain, your face warming.
"I love that about you," he said, his warm breath fanning against your skin. "No need to apologize."
"You're just messing with me" you murmured, eyelashes fluttering shyly.
"I'd never," you heard him say under his breath.
You both stayed like this for a few more moments, warm bodies pressed against one another.
Then he asked, tentatively, "So, you want to stop here?"
Carding your fingers through his messy hair you laughed, "You better not--”
He buried his face in your neck and groaned deeply. "God, why do you have to be so perfect—?"
"Trying my hardest," you giggled.
He started nibbling against your pulse, making you writhe underneath him. You could feel him smirking against your skin at your reaction, lips finally brushing yours and you untangled your fingers to pull at his hair. You started kissing, deep and longingly, darting your tongue between his lips to get a better taste of him. He kept kissing you, deep and messy, just pausing to nip at your lips before shoving his tongue in your mouth again.
Without breaking the kiss, you propped yourself up on your elbows. Touya wrapped his arms around you, grabbed the zipper of your dress, and slowly pulled it down to its bottom. Hooking his fingers under your straps, he pulled the dress down over your bare breasts and you helped get your arms out. Leaning back, he gently guided you back onto the mattress. When the dress was at your hips and you lifted them, allowing him to glide it over your butt and off your legs.
The kiss never broke, eyes closed with lust, until suddenly he straightened up, eagerly taking you in with smoldering turquoise eyes. "Shit, you look more beautiful than I imagined."
"You imagined—?"
"Oh, you don't know how often I dreamed about you." Tracing his fingers around the curve of your completely exposed breasts, "Ever since I first saw you on campus."
With that he sunk down, latching his warm lips around your erect nipple. You sucked in a breath, a blistering heat shooting right through your body as it ripped a loud moan from your mouth. As he continued, running his tongue over your nipples, alternating between swirls and flicks, you gasped for air. His mouth closed in on one, then the other, sucking and biting lightly, while Touya hummed in approval and continued his ministrations on the other breast.
When he stopped, you looked up at him. There was so much heat between your legs, and you were dripping wet.
“Can't believe that after all these years I finally have you in bed with me." He breathed out heavily, eyes glazed with lust as he peered at you below him.
And If it was possible to fuck you with a look, this was it.
You swallowed your breath, heart thrumming loud against your chest. “What are you waiting for then?"
“Atta girl,” he said and hooked his thumb under the hem of your panties, pulling them down and off your legs.
Grabbing your thighs and spreading your legs apart, his breathing became faster, seeing your glistening folds, all that arousal seeping out.
"Cheeks, let's skip the foreplay." His face took on a pained expression as he gulped. "I think I'll bust a nut in my pants if I wait any longer."
Tilting your head, you took in the huge, twitching bulk in his pants, urging to be released. "Y-Yeah, go on, I'm ready."
"Thank God." He growled deep and low, hooking his fingers under his shirt.
Pulling it over his head, he threw it carelessly across the room. When he started unbuttoning his pants, you gasped as you saw a neatly trimmed black happy trail leading up to—
Sitting on his knees he pulled his pants down.
—his pierced cock.
Jesus Christ. Figured he was pierced– and went fucking commando.
You realized you were holding your breath when he had his eyes on you, asking with an unexpectedly low voice of his, “Ready?”
You nervously nodded when Touya was settling himself back between your legs.
Grabbing his cock at its base, he positioned it against your shimmering folds, sliding it back and forth over your slick pussy instead of putting it in. Precum mixed with your slick, his gaze transfixed on your face, waiting for approval.
The way you tentatively bit your lips was all he needed.
His cock started pressing hard against your entrance, and after a bit of resistance, the head popped in with a burning stretch.
Simultaneously, the both of you moaned out loud and tried to hold your composure. With gritted teeth, Touya pushed further agonizingly slow, groaning, each piercing slightly resisting before finally slipping in.
You felt split open, so sensitive that you struggled to last as he pushed in further, deeper. When he was finally inserted, you couldn't help but cry out again. It wasn't only the length that was impressive. The thickness and piercings were what got your head spinning.
“Fuck,” Touya hissed through his teeth, desperation in his voice. His head dropped against your neck, his hand tapping out on the sheets.
"I-I think I need a moment here," he panted against your skin, his stiff cock wildly throbbing inside your pussy, close to painting your insides white with his creamy release.
"Whom are you telling," your breathing was labored, trying your hardest not to cum on the spot.
"Shit, you're so…" he gulped, "Why are you so fucking tight—?"
"Cause you're huge!" You gasped sharply, clenching even harder down on him.
His breathing was still strained, his face still buried in your neck.
"So, do you need me to distract you?" You wheezed. "Pinch something or maybe—punch you?"
"Don't you dare," he chuckled, playfully biting the skin of your shoulder.
“I would never---” You giggled, close to bursting out into laughter over him.
Noticing the tension inside you slowly subsiding, you placed your warm palm on his back, gently running it up and down his stiff back, hoping he’d finally relax. Feeling the muscles slowly soften under your touch, his nether regions calmed down as well.
"Ok," he finally breathed, "Ready?"
You only nodded and he—
Holy shit.
You weren't prepared for this at all. Your hand was clutching onto Touya's shoulder for dear life as he began to slowly pull out. All nerve endings were on fire instantly and one hand darted up to clasp over your mouth.
It felt amazing, his piercings adding just the right friction, his girth to the heavenly pressure. Touya grunted as he stopped, only the cockhead still buried inside your wet warm walls.
Then without a warning, he leaned his weight onto you, sinking his entire length into your pussy again, all the way to the base. He started a hard and deep pace, knocking the breath out of you.
“Touya—” you hit your head against the headboard from how urgently he thrusted forward.
“Cheeks,” he uttered between heavy breaths as he continued to slide his cock in and out of you. “How the fuck do you feel so good?"
"Y-You tell me—" You moaned.
Placing his hands on your hips and wrapping his fingers under your back he suddenly sat on his knees, lifting your butt off the mattress. Forcefully, he pulled you off the pillows and towards him, onto him, and slung your legs over his shoulders.
Oh! was the last coherent word that your brain came up with before he started fucking you in earnest now.
Fisting your trembling fingers into the bed sheets, you bit your lower lip at the feeling of the steady push and pull, making you gasp and clench around him harder.
Touya muttered feverishly, “Fuck, you’re so wet,” under his breath, dropping his head out of pleasure. "You're dripping down my balls–"
He leaned closer to you, knees at your arms, chest pressing against your breasts as he kissed your lips while continuing to move his hips. His mouth was warm and wet and eager against your own and you clutched your hands around his nape for stability.
You slowly started losing your composure, struggling to hold back your orgasm. Still, you begged for more, more– and he delivered, thrusting into you deep and raw, faster and much more forceful than before, stimulating that special spot in you, brutal and quick.
And you couldn’t help but sob at how good it felt. Never in your life had you experienced anything like this. He hit all the right places, his piercings adding perfectly to the friction. You felt the coil inside you so close to bursting again.
Oh my god, you were gonna cum again.
You honestly never thought that sex could bring this much pleasure, with it feeling raw and amazing at the same time. Your orgasm hit you like a tsunami, squelching sounds mixed with your incoherent sobbing and his low groans, while Touya's heated gaze drank up the lewd expression on your face as you came.
“Wanna fill you up with –fuck– my fucking cum, Cheeks.” He emphasized each word with a hard thrust, making you moan even harder around his length.
You could barely speak at that point, couldn’t even find the energy to move so he slid his hand between your legs, talented fingers starting to rub your clit.
His mouth found yours again and he kissed you– hungry and sloppy– muttering under his breath, "Do you want me to fill you up? Do you want my cum inside of you?"
"Oh god, yes." You whimpered breathlessly into his mouth.
He started to give you deeper, harder strokes now. You were close to crying, with it all being too much. Your vision became blurry from all the tears in your eyes and your body trembled, legs shook as his thrusts prolonged the orgasm and unearthed another one right behind it.
It made your eyes roll back and toes curl, losing all control as you felt the tingly feeling begin to unwind in your abdomen. You were a mess below him by then, pleading for him to go faster, harder, voice wracked with sobs of ecstasy.
The pleasure coiled, tighter and tighter. You couldn't hold back anymore, with him sliding in and out of you at this insane speed, his cock pounding into your G-spot with every thrust forward, working you both towards your shared high.
Your cries and the wet, squelching sounds of your messy unity echoed off the walls. You didn't care if people at the party downstairs could hear, too lost in each other's pleasure to think about anything else.
“I–,” he slurred, completely out of control. “I’m gonna cum.”
And then Touya’s head dropped against your shoulder, hot breath coming out in rough pants from the exertion. His eyes rolled back and he shuddered — pounding deep into you, erratic and needy.
The sight of him being so close to bliss, the feeling of him slamming his dick into you— you couldn't handle it, and it had you falling over the edge again. The tension burst, another intense wave of pleasure racking your body as you gushed around his length. It felt like you shattered into a million pieces and then he pulled you back together again.
With his rhythm becoming sloppy and one last thrust, he came deep inside of you. sharing this moment of all-encompassing pleasure with you.
You felt Touya toppling on top of you almost immediately, chest rising and falling fast as he tried to pump back some air into his lungs.
“Holy—,” he said, breathing heavily at the juncture of your neck.
"Yeah—" you wheezed, trying to get your heart from racing in your chest.
You both stayed like that, drunk on the endorphins rushing through your system. His hair gently brushed over your skin, his soft lips alternating between nibbling and kissing your skin while you ran your hands across his back.
He eventually got soft inside of you and then slipped out, each piercing slowly popping out. Your combined release gushed out, dripping warm and creamy down your ass and onto the sheets below.
Bit by bit, the muffled sounds of the party came back, filling the room.
"Sooo—" He glanced at you from under his dark bangs. "Are we good now?"
"Touya…."You scolded, shuddering under the feeling of his warm lips against your neck.
"I love how you say my name." He was nosing your skin, "'Getting hard again."
"Imbecile" - you groaned when you felt his soft cock starting to twitch against your dripping folds again.
He chuckled at that response, rubbing his slender nose into your pulse.
"But since you asked so nicely— I'll think about it," raising your arms you weaved your fingers into his hair, earning you an appreciative hum.
"You're so mean, Cheeks" he cooed, continuing to cover your skin with little kisses.
"Just paying you back for years of torture," your lips curled into a soft, satisfied smile before you turned your head to meet his lips for another passionate kiss.
***
The constant talk of the professor made for a monotonous backdrop. You sighed, looking at the digital clock on your tablet. Still a few more minutes to go before class was over and you could enjoy the rest of the day off.
You paid little to no mind to the professor's words, thinking about the weekend and all that happened. After you spent the night with Touya, you both woke before anyone else. He offered to drive you home, but not without buying you your favorite coffee on the way there. After a goodbye kiss at the door, he drove off.
To your surprise, your roommate had spent the night with Tenko and apparently would stay at his place. It was a turn you'd never anticipated but were pretty happy about. And– it left you alone in your apartment, having enough time to ponder the endless possibilities of what that night with Touya meant for you, with it occupying your mind more than you anticipated. Because even though you knew he was probably busy with getting the cleanup organized, it still ate away at you that he didn't even call once.
So needless to say, doubts were nagging at you. You weren’t sure what this meant, what his intentions were. There were a million other girls in the world he could have chosen. So many hotter ones, prettier ones. So, were you just a phase, just another girl in the line of all the others he's had?
The pain in your chest rose as you kept thinking about this. And you finally concluded that he had to have teased you, that you were just another trophy on his wall of girls he fucked.
You hated this. You hated feeling like this, these thoughts making the turmoil inside you grow. You covered your face with your palms, feeling your eyes turn hot and your lower lip starting to tremble.
Luckily, you were ripped from your thoughts by the shuffle of the people in the room and realized that the lecture was over. You took a moment to steady your pulsating heart, sighed, and stuffed your belongings into your bag, standing up and shouldering it.
As you headed towards the door of the lecture room and stepped outside, you only took a few steps before someone was by your side, slinging an arm around your shoulders, and pulling you close.
Looking up with wide eyes, you saw Touya, effortlessly handsome as always, grinning at you, "Hey, Cheeks, missed ya."
You didn't know what to say, noticing how people stopped in their tracks to stare at the both of you, whispers starting behind raised hands.
"W-What are you doing here, Touya?" Your cheeks blushed as the wetness of your lashes reminded you of your recent doubts.
"I'm here to see my girl." He circled one arm around your waist, rasping, "I'm sorry, but my dad kept me busy yesterday so I couldn't talk much."
"Oh," you replied as his hand slipped behind your nape, pulling you closer.
"I'm gonna make it up to you, ok?" He leaned his forehead against yours, his perfect turquoise eyes glancing right into yours. "Let's spend the rest of the day together."
You only nodded, brain empty, just filled with his scent, his warmth, his low seductive voice in your ears. It made a certain heat rise inside of you again and you clenched your thighs, secretly cursing him for having such an effect on you.
Then Touya dipped his head down to press his warm lips against yours, not caring about the increasing number of onlookers. All thoughts left your brain when the wet tip of his tongue flicked across your lips, demanding entrance. His hand moved to your cheek to tilt your head so he could kiss you even deeper. With the rasp of his warm tongue against yours, you tangled your fingers in his hair, making him moan into your open mouth. His kiss, his touch, had your stomach in knots within seconds.
When you both pulled away for a brief moment to breathe, he groaned "God, I missed this."
He tugged you back towards him, his tongue plunging into your mouth. You felt hot all over, your skin tingling in anticipation, as your desire for him built inside of you. He shuddered slightly when you worked your hand under his shirt, not thinking about anything but wanting to touch him, feel him.
Being in his arms again, feeling him so close, felt heavenly.
You shivered, wetness pooling in your pants again, “Touya—”
"Bro, what the fuck?" An all too familiar voice interrupted over the whispers of the surrounding onlookers. "You kissing in public?"
Touya groaned and broke the kiss, straightening up. "Got a problem with that, dumbass?"
"Maybe," Keigo approached, raking his manicured hand through his blond hair.
Coming to a stop in front of you, Keigo hooked his thumbs into his expensive Gucci jeans as he took both of you in. "So Cheeks, can I have a kiss as well—?"
"No, you fucking can't." He hissed, his arms circling protectively around your figure. "Don't even think about touching her."
"Touya, I'm sure he didn't mean it like that." You tried to intervene.
Touya looked straight ahead at Keigo. "Oh yes, he did."
"Yep Birdie, I would love to have a taste of you…" Keigo winked at you.
You blink twice, taking a moment to process his words.
“Piss off, Keigo." Touya hissed.
But the blond man wasn't phased at all by the threat.
"Why not?” Keigo smirked, ruffling his hair. “Are you, like dating or what? Cause, you never date---”
You froze and averted your eyes, afraid of his answer because you still weren't sure what this meant to him.
“Of course we are,” Touya said, unfazed, drawing you closer to him.
"W-We are?" Your stomach somersaulted, heart rising to your throat at his words.
"Sure Cheeks, what else did you think?" Seeing you with disbelief in your eyes he rolled his eyes at you. "That this was just a one-night stand? You disappoint me—"
"Her reaction doesn't surprise me at all." Keigo's teasing smirk split into a full-blown grin, "Never took you for a relationship type of guy."
Touya’s head spun around to face his friend.
"Me on the other hand," Keigo mused, grinning suspiciously at you, "I am all for a serious relationship, just saying."
"Shut it, Keigo," Touya growled upon his words, visibly irritated. "She's mine."
Looking at Keigo you noticed the corners of his mouth wobbling suspiciously, as his eyes flicked to yours before focusing back on Touya.
Oh. Ohhh—
You found yourself holding back your giggles, watching the scene now unravel in front of you from a different perspective.
"Well, ok," Keigo wiggled his eyebrows at you, "My offer's still up though."
Touya growled deep and threatening. "Keigo, I'm warning you—"
The blonde shrugged at the threat before continuing with a big mischievous grin. "So, was he any good? Cause I'm much better—"
"You motherfuckin–" Keigo barely dodged Touya's fist and spun around to run off cackling, only for your boyfriend to take after him.
"I'm also much bigger than him!" You heard Keigo yell, followed by Touya's angry howl.
You couldn't help but burst out laughing looking after them running down the hall like two little children. Needless to say, this was the best start to college for you after all.

Male gnoll x gn reader (nsfw)
Disclaimer which I’m including in all my works after plagiarism and theft has taken place: I do not give my consent for my works to be used, copied, published, or posted anywhere. They are copyrighted and belong to me.
As promised, the modern gnoll story is here!
Content: insecure, squishy, gender and body neutral reader; praise kink from gnoll boy if you squint; penetrative sex, knotting.
There's also very fleeting mention of a young, terminally ill patient passing off-screen. If you want to skip that entirely, skip from: "Halfway through the third time you encountered him there though, he got a call on his phone and his whole demeanour changed." to the paragraph beginning: "Three days later, and you’d been to the gym every day in the hopes of catching him, you hadn’t seen him."
Wordcount: 6934
You stared at the weights rack and felt a bead of sweat roll down your spine that had nothing to do with your previous sets.
This would be the heaviest you’d ever attempted to chest press, and while it might not be much by some people’s standards — that half-orc last week had really put you off your stride by snorting at you, but we can’t all be built like brick fucking walls, can we? — it was more than you’d tried so far. But you were ready. You just… needed someone to spot for you. Just in case. Safety first, and all that.
But the only people in the weights section were the kind of people who, through no real fault of their own, you tended to find nauseatingly intimidating. Like that troll who could probably bench press one of you in each hand. Or that werewolf who was fully shifted and currently on her hundredth(?) chin-up on the bars. Or that gnoll. He’d been doing slow, measured bicep curls for the past five minutes and you’d been trying not to stare at him. Most male gnolls were a bit smaller than their female counterparts, and tended to be less aggressive and competitive in the gym, but this guy was huge.
You must have looked a little too long though, because his dark, rounded ear twitched and he turned his head to look at you. Instead of glaring at you, he offered you a wide, friendly grin that showed off his massive, chunky teeth and made you a bit weak at the knees. Always good to go weak at the joints when you were about to attempt a personal best in the weights section at the gym…
Fuck.
“You ok?” he asked, setting down a dumbbell that was heavy enough to double as a battleship anchor, and you swallowed.
Now or never.
“I…” you croaked and cleared your throat, looking down at the bench and back up at him.
“You want someone to spot for you?” he asked, stepping a little closer. His paws were massive and while he had clothes on — black gym shorts and a big, baggy, white tank top — he wore no shoes. His claws flexed as his dark, smoky brown pads spread to take his weight, and you swallowed again. He had really adorable freckle-like spots up his shaggy legs too.
“If you wouldn’t mind?” you finally managed to squeak.
At that, he beamed at you and gave a gnollish giggle that seemed genuinely pleased. “Happy to.”
“Thanks,” you mumbled, and took a breath for courage. No going back now.
You lay down on the bench and he came to stand behind the rack. His big, clawed hands hooked under the bar but he didn't take any of its weight as you adjusted your grip and got settled, and prepared to lift it free. He loomed over you, his face serious with concentration. It was a comfort to know he was focused on the task, not gawping around at the other gym-goers. The future integrity of your chest and ribs depended on his concentration if your arms failed you, after all. You had no doubts about his strength though. He really was massive.
Getting your breathing under control, you shoved carefully upwards, and he grinned as you took its weight and began your reps. After five, you felt your arms start to burn, but you pushed on towards ten.
At nine, your muscles shuddered in complaint.
“You’ve got this,” he said in a low, quiet rumble, and it spurred you on to do the last one. You hooked it back in place and met his dark brown eyes. “Nailed it,” he grinned, all teeth and joy. “I reckon you can go up another five kilograms…”
“I’m not sure,” you replied, sitting up carefully and swinging your feet off to one side. The idea of making it heavier seemed overwhelming.
“I’ll spot you again, don’t worry,” he said, reaching for a couple of the smallest weight plates from the rack and slotting them easily onto the end of your bar. “But you definitely had some in the tank. Take a minute, have a drink, and go again.”
His quiet, easy conviction was enviable, but it sparked something in you that had been dormant for a long time. Or maybe it had been smothered into dormancy. Either way, it felt a lot like the echo of self-confidence, though the feeling was unfamiliar these days.
When you set down your water bottle and paused to let your muscles relax after the first set of reps, your eye was caught by a wiry looking goblin doing weighted squats on the far side of the room. She had iron grey hair and looked to be in her sixties or seventies, and you felt the heat of shame flood your cheeks when you realised she was lifting more than you could, at half your height and a fraction of your body-weight.
Seeing where you were looking, the gnoll gave a little snicker and said, “Oh boy, don’t compare yourself to Rose, friend. I’ve seen her outlast full-grown orcs in friendly pull-up competitions, and she can plank for an hour without breaking a sweat. Goblins are made of steel, I swear. Focus on your own journey.”
You laughed, feeling stupidly grateful to him for his kind reassurance.
“Come on. Give it a go?” he said, and you nodded and lay back. “I’ll be here. I won’t let you hurt yourself,” he added.
It was a struggle, but you made it to five before you needed a pause, and he hooked his rough-padded fingers under the bar and took the weight for a second.
“Breathe, and then just five more.”
Somehow when he said it like that, it didn’t seem so bad.
Things got tricky at eight, but you gritted your teeth and pushed through, and when you hit ten and he took it from you, your arms felt like wet noodles, but you’d done it.
“Alright!” he exclaimed as you sat up and cast him a sidelong look. He offered his paw for a high-five, and, embarrassed by his enthusiasm for you, you answered it. The pads of his paws were rough and warm, and his entire hand almost engulfed yours. When you lowered your gaze again, you could just see his little tail wagging back and forth and that finally brought a huge smile to your face. How long had it been since someone was genuinely excited for your achievements?
“Thank you,” you mumbled, your voice cracking a bit. “That was really kind of you. I’m sorry I interrupted your workout.”
“Not at all,” he smiled. “Happy to help, and you smashed it! I’ll leave you to get on, but shout if you need me to spot for you again.”
“Thanks,” you said, but your shyness returned, and you didn’t trouble him again that session.
Three days later, you were back in the gym with your muscles mostly recovered. On the ground floor of the building, there was a huge swimming pool and as you passed the viewing window you could see a couple of humans and a few orcs and perhaps an elf doing serious, focused laps in the swimming lanes, barely making a splash as they powered through the water. This whole ‘fitness drive’ thing was still pretty new to you, and just walking up the stairs into the upper level of the gym where the machines and weights were sparked the same nauseous anxiety in the pit of your stomach that you always experienced at the thought of going to a public gym. You didn’t look like someone who belonged here, with soft edges and extra weight in places it wasn’t conventionally attractive for humans to carry it, and while you weren’t really here to please other people, you were trying to take better care of yourself lately and that, unfortunately, involved exercise.
Your eyes scanned the space and you’d have been lying if you weren’t searching for a flash of honey-coloured fur. There was a large group of orcs messing around in the weights section, so you bailed and headed blindly for the nearest cardio machine, heart pounding in a way that made you want to throw up.
“Guess I’m running today,” you muttered under your breath as you stepped automatically up onto the treadmill. Panic had made you go to this one, and you thought you’d probably look even more stupid if you changed your mind now.
After an overly-long warm-up walk, you cranked it to something manageable and felt your body complain already. You made it to about one kilometre before you had to stop. Deciding to pretend you’d always intended to use it merely as a way to loosen up, you hit the ‘stop’ button and ignored its friendly advice to do a cool down, grabbing your water bottle from the holder and turning around to see if there was enough room in the weights area for you to slink in and do a few reps.
And there, looking at you across the room, was the gnoll from before.
Your heart flip-flopped in your chest, first with delight and then with horror as you realised he must have seen you lumbering away on the treadmill. Fuck.
But when he met your eye, he grinned, showing all his teeth, and he waved. You smiled back, and wove your way through the bristling array of cardio machines to join him.
“Hey,” he said, scratching behind one large ear with his right paw. “I wasn’t sure if you were a regular… I kind of thought I might never see you again.”
“No, I’m usually wheezing away in a corner at around this time every few days,” you snorted.
He didn’t laugh at your self-deprecating humour though, and instead turned his muzzle towards the weights. “You need someone to spot for you again?”
You bit your lip. “Yeah, I guess. You can be my cheerleader again too if you like,” you added with a spur-of-the-moment burst of bravery.
“Gladly,” he giggled, tail wagging back and forth. “You wanna do a few warm up rounds first? I just got here, so I’m kind of cold anyway.”
As before, when you were ready, he came over and stood at the head of the bench, hands ready to catch the bar. It was harder to concentrate this time round, with him looming over you. He had to be nearly seven feet tall, though he had that distinctive hunch that gnolls’ unique biology lent to their kind where werewolves were more upright.
When he took the bar from you at the end of your first set of reps, his fingers brushed yours and you nearly gasped at how velvet-soft his fur was. “Thank you,” you said, and as you sat up to take your short break, you introduced yourself by name.
“I’m Cade,” he replied, and stuck out his hand for you to shake.
Conscious that your palms were probably super sweaty, you tried not to flush hot and make it even worse, and you slid your hand into his. Again, the size of him was striking, and you felt something in your core tighten and start to tingle at the sight of it, let alone the feel of his paw flexing around your hand. His claws were dark and neatly rounded and you wondered what he did for a living. Most gnolls — not that you knew any personally — seemed to have active, outdoorsy jobs, but there was something about him that made you curious.
“Ready for round two?” he asked, and you got back to it with a shy smile. “Ah, come on. It’s not that bad, is it? You might even learn to love it soon.”
“It’s better with company,” you admitted as you took the weight of the bar and looked up just in time to watch his face go from serious to delighted at the compliment. “Not sure I’ll ever come to love it though. Not the way you seem to.”
He grinned and giggled gnollishly — the sound high and bright and a little silly coming from someone so intimidatingly built — and you couldn’t help the way your heart felt a little lighter and your body a little more energised. “I did consider changing careers to become a personal trainer for a while,” he said while you started to count your second set.
“Oh?” You didn’t have the breath to ask anything more articulate, but he didn’t seem to mind.
“Mm. I just enjoy helping people out, I guess.”
“What do you do now for work?” you asked in a bit of a garbled rush between reps six and seven.
“I’m a paediatric nurse,” he said, and you nearly dropped the bar on your chest. He reached down and snatched it before it had even dropped an inch, and he shot you a look. “Don’t worry, I’m used to that reaction,” he said with a wink. “I was expecting it.”
“Sorry,” you said. Jeez, what a charmer. “I just… I wouldn’t have thought… you know… I’m sorry.”
“Eh, it’s fine,” he said. “Come on, get to ten and I’ll tell you the rest.”
You pushed through the last three and he took the bar and rested it on its hooks, allowing you to sit up with thrumming muscles in your shoulders and arms. You stretched out and twisted your neck to look up at him from your seat on the bench.
“We have a bad reputation still,” he sighed, “But actually, traditionally, male gnolls are the caretakers in our clans. Historically, the females did all the fighting and protecting, and we raised the cubs and taught them the basics before they went on to train with the females.” He shot you a cheeky look and added, “Statistically, male gnolls are the least likely of almost all species to be aggressive, so despite appearances, we make perfect caretakers. The kids at the hospital love me, once they get past the teeth and the size.”
“I can see why,” you said faintly.
Cade pulled a wide smile and eyed the bar. “Go for three sets this time?”
You did, and when you were done, you thanked him, and then headed to grab a kettle bell to do some other exercises. If both of you kept sneaking glances at each other for the rest of your session, well, at least it wasn’t just you.
Halfway through the third time you encountered him there though, he got a call on his phone and his whole demeanour changed. You’d been doing some lower-weight dead lifts, and as you set the bar down on the mat you watched all the joy bleed out of him; his tail bristled high and stiff, his ears swivelled back almost flat against his head, and his big brown eyes went wide with distress.
“Shit, now?” he hissed, turning away from you. “Fuck. Ok, I’ll be there as soon as I can. No, don’t worry about it. Thanks for telling me. Ok, I’ll see you soon.”
He hung up, took a deep breath, and then slowly looked over his shoulder at you. “I… I have to go. I’m sorry. Don’t try any more without someone to spot for you, ok?”
You nodded. “You alright?”
He bit his lip and shook his head. “No, not really. One of my patients is… Uh… Yeah. Not long left, apparently.”
“Oh shit, Cade,” you said, crossing to him. You laid your hand on his fluffy forearm and squeezed the solid muscle beneath your fingers. He seemed to relax just a fraction at that. “You need someone to give you a lift to the hospital? My car’s outside.”
Again, he bit his lip and then nodded. “You wouldn’t mind? I was gonna get the bus.”
You shook your head. “Of course not. Let’s go.”
He was mostly silent for the journey, his knee bouncing as he sat crammed into in the front of your car, but when you approached the main entrance to the hospital, he said, “You can just use the drop-off at the front. Thank you again. I’ll… I’ll see you around, ok?”
You nodded and reached for his arm again. “Take care of yourself.”
He smiled, gave a low rumbling noise that you’d never heard him make before, and then climbed out and strode into the hospital without a backward glance. You looked down at the seat and found a fair few golden hairs stuck to the fabric, and didn’t have the heart to brush them away.
Three days later, and you’d been to the gym every day in the hopes of catching him, you hadn’t seen him. Your mood was decidedly flat as you stepped out into the fresh night air and tried to plaster on a smile when your best friend uncoiled his muscular, python’s tail from the back of the taxi that was waiting at the curb and flung his arms around you. His dark brown skin had a pearlescent shimmer to it and his long, thick brown hair was plaited into a thick braid that hung down his spine. He wore a glittery, black shirt studded with a rainbow of rhinestones that matched the iridescent gleam that seemed to hover over his snake’s tail too, and he had the most exquisitely neat makeup on that you’d ever seen.
“Gods, Mal, you look incredible,” you wheezed as he hugged you.
“You look good too, sweetheart,” he grinned back. “Any sign of your delicious little puppy at the gym today? No, of course not. If there had been, you wouldn’t looked like a kicked puppy yourself. Come on. It’s my birthday. You’re not allowed to mope,” he said, and he practically bundled you into the back of the taxi before going round to the other side and piling in beside you.
He gave the driver the name of the club, and the car set off.
“There’ll be so many beautiful people there tonight, you’ll forget all about this gnoll of yours, I swear,” he practically purred in your ear, and you tried to smile.
“Happy birthday, by the way,” you said, and you drew an envelope from your clutch and handed it to him.
He frowned. “What’s this? We don’t do cards or presents anymore, sweetie,” he scowled, but he did look secretly pleased.
“Couldn’t resist this one,” you shrugged.
The card was nothing very special, just a lame joke about not throwing a hissy fit on your birthday, but it predictably made Mal groan and roll his eyes. “Really, darling? Didn’t we get over the reptile jokes in kindergarten?”
You did manage to muster a heartfelt smirk at that, and waved your hand. “I couldn’t resist,” you said again.
“You’re awful. I love you so much,” he laughed, and tugged you into a sideways hug in his arms. “You’re the only person I tolerate this kind of shit from, you know that?”
“Yeah,” you smiled.
For a long moment, Mal held you and then he let you go and sighed softly. “I want you to be happy, you know?” he said. “You’ve been, like… ‘background miserable’ for ages.”
“I’ll try,” you said. It had been easier until Cade had vanished.
The club was packed already, but Mal dragged you to the front of the line and the two of you were admitted like celebrities and shown to the VIP area of the club. Perks of being with the brother of the owner, you supposed. Yves came over to greet you and his brother and to wish Mal a happy birthday. His present, it turned out, was unlimited drinks for the two of you all night.
For an hour, you and Mal chatted and drank leisurely, and watched the people out on the dance floor that was slightly below your booth, but just as Mal slithered with enviable elegance off the bench and started to make his way towards the dance floor, dragging you along with him, you caught sight of the familiar shape of a gnoll’s ears and froze so abruptly that your hands were torn from Mal’s grip.
“What, Sweets?”
You frowned, trying to make out the figure that was across the space, apparently also being dragged by his friends onto the floor. It was him. It was Cade. You had to laugh, and just as you did, he looked up.
His jaw dropped and he fell utterly still as well, then he laughed and shook his head.
“No way,” Mal breathed, now leaning in to hiss in your ear. “That’s him?”
“Yeah,” you said, and as Cade joined you, Mal — the cheeky shit that he was — gave you a solid shove between your shoulder blades.
You stumbled forwards and Cade shot his hands out to catch you before you planted face-first onto the dance floor. You whipped around the moment he had steadied you, and shot Mal the most venomous glare you could, and then turned back to Cade. “Thanks,” you yelled above the music. “My meddling best friend isn’t exactly known for his subtlety.”
“It’s ok,” Cade chuckled. “It’s good to see you. Sorry I haven’t made it to the gym lately. You find someone to spot for you?”
You shook your head and realised you were still holding his forearms. He hadn’t let go either, so neither did you. “How are you doing? I was worried about you when I didn’t see you after… you know…”
He bowed his head in understanding. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think you’d worry about me, if I’m honest. I’m good. It wasn’t entirely unexpected, even if it was still really sad. It’s part of the job sometimes though. It’s… It’s not my first. But I’m not here to mope.”
“Why are you here then?” you asked, squeezing his forearm gently as someone knocked into you from the side. “You look about as comfortable as I am in places like this…”
His ears were pricked as far forward as they could go, straining like satellite dishes to catch your words above the thundering music, and the urge to make an inhuman squeak rose up your throat like a physical presence. For someone so huge and muscular, he had no right to look so heartbreakingly cute.
“My friends’ house purchase went through so they decided to celebrate and drag me out with them. You?”
“Mal's birthday. His brother owns the club, so we’ve had free drinks for the night.”
“Nice,” Cade laughed. “You want to dance?”
You did, but it wasn’t something you were any good at. Then again, looking around you, there weren’t many you’d have said were actually dancing. Shyly, you managed a nod, and he grinned at you again, and held out both paws. You slid your hands into them and he exhaled, his chest falling noticeably.
“What?”
“You’re so small,” he said. “I… I’m so afraid I’m going to crush you all the time.”
“You won’t,” you smiled, and stepped even closer to him. Close enough to smell the soft musk that rose from his fur. Close enough to see the lights reflected in his coffee-dark eyes and watch the way the pale whiskers on his dark muzzle splayed wide with his anticipation. In the lights you noticed that the white trim of fur along the outer edge of his ears looked like a fine line of silver. “You’re really beautiful, Cade,” you whispered, certain that the music would drown your words, but he pulled his dark lips back in a broad grin and dipped his head shyly.
He turned you in his arms so that your back was to his chest and he stepped a little closer, moving his hands to your waist. You tried to fight the self-consciousness that roared to life like a wildfire in your mind, and when he felt you tense, he leaned down and murmured in your ear, “Is this alright?”
You nodded and leaned back into him, looking up at his pale throat and chest. It was a surprisingly familiar view by now after your sessions in the gym. He was wearing loose jeans that ended at the knee, the way many non-humans did, and he had a black t-shirt on that fitted his muscular frame beautifully. His red-gold mane melted into the dark fur of his ears and the creamy underside of his chin and neck, and you wanted to melt against him and have him hold you forever.
“Yes,” you exhaled. “It’s just been a while, that’s all.”
“We can go however slow you like, but you should know I like you,” he said in a low, inviting rumble. He pressed his cold nose carefully against your cheek and then nuzzled you with his jaw. “A lot. Gods, you smell amazing,” he blurted, as if he couldn't help himself.
That self-conscious heat evolved into something entirely different, and pure want coursed through you instead. You ached again and your body seemed to prickle all over with desire.
His hands drifted a fraction lower, to frame your hips, and his fingers dug into your soft flesh. Above the music you heard him give a long, deep lowing sound; primal and visceral and honest in its appreciation, and it made you shiver.
You lost track of time as you danced together. It wasn’t so much ‘dancing’ as ‘sharing the same space and touching wherever you could both get away with it before it became completely indecent’.
At one point, when you’d turned to face him again, someone nudged into you from behind and a hand wandered over your back, and you flinched closer to Cade. He pulled his lips back and showed all his teeth, and the human who had wandered too close to your corner of paradise shied away with hands raised.
“Didn’t take you for the jealous type,” you said, and Cade growled at you instead.
“I’m not,” he said. “But I am protective. If you want to leave here with someone else tonight instead of me, I won’t stop you.”
“I don’t want to,” you said, placing your hand on the centre of his chest. “I’m not sure I’m ready to go home with you tonight either, but I do want your number and I do want to see you again.”
He smiled, and drew his phone from his back pocket. He twitched his muzzle towards the edge of the dance floor and then offered you his palm, leading you through the jostling crowd towards a quieter spot and shielding you with the bulk of his body when you had to force your way through the crush. You exchanged numbers, and then he looked over your shoulder and said, “Your friend is coming over.”
You turned to find Mal easing his way around the edge of the dance floor. He was moving slowly, carefully, the way he did when he was very drunk and trying not to show it. “Ah, man, I’ll have to get him home safely,” you sighed. “I guess this is goodbye for now.”
Cade nodded. “I’ll see you both to a cab if you like.”
“You are protective,” you chuckled.
“I’m not hearing a ‘no’.”
“No, you’re not,” you smiled. “If you like, you can get on the other side of Mal and see that he doesn’t slither off somewhere.”
The two of you wrangled a very curious and very obvious Mal into the back of a cab, and Cade came to stand with his hands on your waist. “Can I kiss you?” he asked, his ears tilted back in a perfect display of meek shyness.
“Yes,” you exhaled.
He lowered his head and brought his muzzle to your lips. His mouth was soft against yours and he pressed his lips against you and then let the very tip of his tongue lave over your lips while his rough hands rose to cup your jawline and hold your face delicately. Cade didn’t spend long kissing you, since it was evident that this was a human gesture for which his body was not really built, but he did move to nuzzle your cheek with the velvet fur of his muzzle before stepping back and breathing out a long sigh.
Before he could say anything sweet or romantic, Mal opened the door and half his tail spilled back out onto the tarmac, and he cursed. “Fuck. I just wanted to say to hurry the fuck up because I’m cold and drunk and I don’t want to sit the back of this cab any longer than I have to,” he slurred, his forked tongue thick with drink. “Sorry,” he tacked on a little late.
Cade chuckled and helped you tuck Mal’s python tail back into the car for a second time, and you shook your head. “I’m so sorry,” you said, and squeezed his arm. “I’ll see you at the gym? And I’ll text you.”
He nodded, and you got in to the taxi next to Mal and shot him a flat look. “That was not cool,” you said. “You only get a free pass because it’s your birthday.”
And with that, you told the driver his address, and then, when Mal was safely inside and a little more sober, you headed home.
A text was waiting from Cade but you saved it for when you were finally ready for bed, and as you lay there in the dark, you opened your messages with a little trepidation.
>> You looked so beautiful tonight. I was *this* close to not going out tonight, but I’m so glad I did. I hope you got back ok and that the birthday boy isn’t going to suffer too much. I’ll be at the gym tomorrow. Perhaps we can grab a coffee somewhere afterwards if you’re going to be around? Night, and sleep well. C x <<
You read it through four times before you replied, and after that, you saw each other every day for a fortnight solid.
It started with coffee after the gym and then progressed to drinks, and then drinks and a snack, and then dinner, and then dinner and a movie, and then dinner and the same movie again because there was nothing else on that you wanted to watch, and then dinner and a stroll along the riverbank while the city lights twinkled around you. Finally, after two weeks of meeting every day, he took your hands in his and kissed you silly on one of the bridges over the river.
He nuzzled you afterwards and let out all these delicious, gnollish noises that made your heart skip and dance and skitter around like a trapped bird in your ribcage.
“I want you,” you gasped as he leaned you back a little way and closed his mouth around your neck, raking his teeth oh so gently across your skin. He froze, and then drew back.
“You mean it?” he asked in an equally soft voice. His dark eyes were huge and his ears frankly adorable as they swivelled first back against his head in uncertainty and then pricked forwards in undeniable hope. His tail rose high and fluffy behind him and you giggled softly.
“Yes, I mean it,” you laughed. “I want you.”
“Now?”
“Not ‘now on this bridge’,” you snorted. “Now as in tonight. Now as in take me home.”
“Yours or mine?”
“Whose is closer?” you asked in a decidedly hoarse voice.
He paused. “Mine, probably.”
“Then let’s go there.”
He held your hand all the way there, and stopped at least five more times to nuzzle you and kiss you.
You’d been to his a couple of times before during your whirlwind courtship, but you’d only cuddled on the sofa while eating popcorn and watching reruns of your favourite shows. This time, you didn't bother with the sofa.
You kicked off your shoes at the door and he backed you towards the bedroom, growling and making those delicious, low-frequency lowing sounds in a constant, rumbling song. He loomed over you, but you grinned up at him and tugged at the lower hem of his black t-shirt.
He tore it off over his head to reveal the coarse, ivory fur of his chest and throat, and you reached for him, watching as your fingers disappeared into it. He growled — actually growled — when you scrunched your fingers and tugged experimentally, and you looked up at him again. He was panting softly, eyes half-lidded with his muzzle tilted upwards a fraction.
“Bed. Now,” you said in an unusually assertive voice.
Cade gasped and then simply picked you up by the hips. You looped your legs around his middle and let him carry you into his bedroom, where he deposited you carefully onto the bed and leaned down over you. It didn’t take you long to discard your clothes and he stared at you in wonder when you lay back again.
He was hard and as he rutted through his jeans against your thigh, you arched your back off the bed and moaned. “Now, Cade. Please.”
You ached all over and you’d never been this turned on in all your life. Every nerve ending seemed to have been dialled up to eleven and every time his rough paws skimmed over your skin, you gasped and jerked and groaned.
“So sensitive,” he purred, leaning back to undo his jeans and cast them aside. His boxers came next, and you tried not to stare at the size of him. You hoped you could take him.
He knelt between your legs and gently bit and mouthed his way up your inner thighs before closing his mouth over you and letting his tongue savour you. It should have been unnerving to have the most powerful jaws of almost any creature on land so close to where you were most delicate, but it sent a thrill up your spine instead. He moved his head between your legs and you let your hand rest between his ears, guiding his pace and taming his ardour a little.
Cade drew back, his eyes glassy and his muzzle wet with a combination of your arousal and his drool, and he rasped, “You taste incredible.”
“I want to come with you inside me,” you moaned. “I want you to knot me, Cade.”
His eyes fluttered and rolled at that and he gripped his cock in one hand as though trying to stave off his own orgasm already. “Fuck,” he grunted. “Fuck, that’s about the hottest thing you could have said to me. I’m really not gonna last long now. Oh fuck, I can already feel —”
“Cade, inside me. Now.”
“You’re sure?”
“Cade…” There was a growl to your voice too.
His cock was leaking all over his hand, all over the back of his fingers, and he wasn’t even working himself. You weren’t going to need any extra help to ease him inside you, but you were going to need him to take it gently.
“Slowly,” you warned as he lined himself up. He nodded, looking nervous and earnest.
The tip of his cock nudged inside you and you groaned and lay back, enjoying the huge stretch of him. Cade, meanwhile, bit back a curse and began to shake all over.
“I can’t,” he gasped. “Please… I…”
“Keep going,” you said, sounding gloriously winded already and he was only a little way inside you. “Don’t stop.”
The gnoll let out a long, lowing groan and then braced himself on both arms. You drew your knees up to help him and he began to pant again. “Fuck,” he cursed as he eased himself further inside you. “Oh fuck, oh fuck, I can’t I’m… I’m going to come… fuck, you’re tight. Oh fuck, beautiful, I can’t…”
“Yes you can,” you crooned, though the seduction in your voice was a little strangled by the intensity of the stretch as he eased almost all the way into you. “You can wait for me, I know you can. You’re so good; you’re so kind, Cade. You’re going to make this amazing for me, I know you are…”
At the string of praise, his heavy jaws parted to show all his thick, sharp teeth and he began to shake with the effort of not plunging into you in a single stroke until finally, finally, he was seated inside you to the hilt of his cock.
“See?” you said, reaching for the ruff around his neck and threading your fingers into the depths of the soft fur.
He keened and began to rock his hips. “Please… Please can I move now?”
“Yes, Cade. Let me feel all of you inside me.”
What began as a slow, careful slide of his huge cock inside you hastened to a desperate rhythm in minutes. His hips snapped against yours and you felt the weight of his balls as they rocked against you with each thrust. Cade was whining with each stroke, and you realised that the delicious stretch was growing, and each time he withdrew, it was a little less far.
“You’re going to knot me, aren’t you?” you gasped, drawing your knees up even further so that he hit you just-so with the tip of his cock at the apex of each desperate thrust.
“Mmnn,” he whimpered. “Fuck. I’m so close. You’re so gorgeous. Been thinking about this since… since we danced. Gods, I wanted to fuck you that night. Came all over myself when I got home. Popped a knot and everything, oh fuck, oh fuck you’re so tight I’m going to come, I’m so close, I’m going to come, can I come? Please let me come, beautiful, please let me fill you —”
His babbling, rambling pleas devolved into another gnollish low and he threw his head back, picking up the desperate pace. His hands grabbed your hips and his claws pricked your skin as he pulled you further onto his growing knot with every thrust. Delirious pleasure coursed through you and you barely had the presence of mind left to give him the permission he clearly craved.
“Yes, come for me,” you slurred. “Come inside me, Cade. Fill me —”
With a roar, his hips snapped against yours one last time and his whole body locked up. His lips pulled back from his huge teeth into a rictus of ecstasy and his eyes rolled as he came in huge, shuddering waves, lost to the pleasure of your body as his knot finally swelled to fill you and the sensation of it tipped you over the edge as well. As your body clenched around him, he cursed again and tugged you somehow even further onto his knot. His hips spasmed against you and you could feel him emptying himself into you in waves.
It was a long time before he stopped coming, and even with his knot plugging you tight, you felt some of his come start to leak out around you already, spilling down your thighs and onto the sheet. “Fuck,” he hissed again, and his body went suddenly slack, though his chest was still heaving for breath.
He fell forwards over you and braced himself at the last second on his forearms. You lowered your legs and he grunted as the movement jolted his over-sensitive knot, but you stayed there for a long time.
Gradually, your breathing settled into the same rhythm and your heartbeats slowed, and a leaden satisfaction descended into your whole body. You felt full, and cherished as he held you.
You lost track of time as you lay there together, but finally his knot receded and you felt a lot more of his come start to slide down your thighs. “Making a mess,” you mumbled from where you were half-buried by the soft fur near his ear.
“Mmph.”
“If you’re expecting me to have put on enough muscle to chest press you off me, you’re sorely mistaken,” you quipped, and to your joy, he gave a delighted, gnollish giggle and lifted his head enough to regard you with his slightly unfocused, dark brown eyes.
“You’re really something,” he said, and he let his pink tongue just grace the tip of your nose. “You sore? You want me to run you a bath?”
“Oof, yes please,” you smiled. No one had ever offered to do that for you after sex, and you were indeed a little sore from where he’d stretched you further than anyone ever had.
He lifted himself off you carefully, withdrawing from you and giving a little grunt as his softening cock slid free. He sat back on his haunches and ran his thumbs over the curve of your thighs, staring at where you knew you were probably gaping a bit. It was hard not to feel embarrassment until he murmured, “You’re exquisite.”
Cade leaned over you and fondly raked his upper and lower teeth over the soft flesh of your thigh before laving his tongue over your skin and then finally standing on shaky legs. “Been a while since I came like that,” he admitted shyly as he staggered towards the door. “Think I might skip leg day tomorrow and just chill out here.”
“I’ll join you,” you said. “I may never regain feeling in my legs.”
“I’ll carry you around anyway,” he grinned as he left and went to run the bath.
True to his word, Cade did carry you around his apartment the next day, and your feet barely touched the ground from the moment you woke to the moment you fell asleep in his bed for the second night in a row.
You weren’t exactly complaining though. It was heaven.

I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you’ll consider reblogging as well as leaving a like. Take care of yourselves, and I hope you have a lovely day/night wherever you are, and whenever you read this.

Moonlight Silence | Drayton x Mute Reader
Pokémon Scarlett and Violet Indigo Disk DLC Spoilers ahead!
Mentions of bullying and self doubt. Drayton comes to your side in your moment of zen. Deciding to tell you what he truly thinks in the first moment he gets to share with you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was so quiet. The stars above you shining brighter than normal, the moon's radiant light more prominent than you’d seen it before, almost a halo around the planet. Refreshing. That was the only word your mind could muster up in the sea of peace. Just you and the sky, no Pokémon, no people, not even a cloud. Pure peace, the odd sound of a Pokémon cry being the only thing truly bonding everything together. Sometimes the thought of what was up there ran across your mind… what if you could just grab a star, hold it, love it close up instead of admiring from afar. As if you were trying to make your thoughts come true, your hand reached up towards the sky, covering the moon so only the stars could be seen by your eyes, until another sight took over. “Seems you’ve taken, reaching for the stars literally huh!” Your new vision chimed looking down at you completely covering your vision. Lowering your hand you realise your visitor is no other than Colgate himself, Drayton.
Quickly sitting up, you stare at him in pure confusion. Drayton was never up at this time, he may have been a bit laid back but he stuck to a very strict sleep schedule, so seeing him up past that was highly confusing. Not to mention the fact he was out here alone, normally he’s paired up with Crispin. Apparently your confusion was noticed by your new companion who simply chuckles at the sight of your face, sitting down beside you.
“I came looking for you…” Drayton bluntly responded, a small smile appearing on his face when your confusion only grew more. He was looking for you? Once again as if he could read your mind, he continued. “Your confusion, I can tell you are wondering why I'm out here. Now you're asking yourself why I came out here specifically to find you… If I'm honest, I've been trying to find you all day. Seems Arceus had other plans for me today.”
Turning on your knees, you give him your full attention, confusion now curiosity as your attentive ears perk up in anticipation. Why had he been looking for you all day? He had your number so he could have just texted you, left a voicemail, anything at all. Why in person?
With a sigh, Drayton turns his head to the sky admiring the same stars you just were. “You know I'm not one to use tender words. Just wastes time and plays on the emotions of others. I prefer speaking plainly and honestly! You know that better than anyone… So I'm going to ask you this plainly all you need to do is nod yes or no.”
His attention was now back on you, a small bit of concern laced over his eyes, causing your stomach to sink slightly.
“Yesterday, those two boys… were they bothering you?” He asks plainly. Within a moment your eyes grew wide as you replayed the scene in your head. Skipping over small details, only remembering the feeling of them pushing you against the wall, dragging you around in a strange push pull game, yelling hurtful and disgraceful things to you, all because of your silence. This wasn’t an uncommon occurrence either by these two. To be used as they’re punching bag in a sense. But never once would you go for help, to you, it would have only been confusing. Having to write down what you wanted to say. So all you could do was repress the thoughts in your head and continue on with your day, as if it never happened. But now… sitting here, being, asked about the event. The images of their faces, coated in a sinister smile, as if these boys had some kick in seeing your misery. Their eyes were black in your mind, blocked out completely, only their mouths repeating the words over and over. “That’s a yes”
Drayton's sudden words pulled you from your daze, staring intently at him, confused as to how he knew this. From your knowledge… No one else was there in that hallway.
“You know you can come see me if you're being bothered right? You don’t have to go through something like this alone! No one deserves to be treated like that. And don’t give me that ‘I don’t know what you mean look’ This isn’t the first time I've witnessed it…” He looked at you completely focused on your expressions reading each one perfectly. Gently taking your hands into his he pulled up towards him before continuing once more. “I care about you… so much, and seeing how people treat you, just because you don’t talk is heart breaking, but knowing the fact you didn't think you could come to me, hurts even more. You are so important to me, and I want you to know that I will always be here for you. And I want you to know that I will protect you, even if you don’t want me to stand by your side, I will protect you from afar, or as close as you’ll allow me. But please, don’t push me away, it's alright to be afraid, to feel outcasted. But know, you will never be left behind by me, I will never leave you out to dry.”
Tears began welling up in your eyes, your mind running through the words he said over and over again.
“I just wish I had said all this sooner… This whole Kieran situation, the battle league, everything was keeping me away from telling you this…” Suddenly he snaps out of his own daze, seems he got so caught up in the moment he hadn't realised what was going on, and seeing your surprised face, tears running down your flushed cheeks caused him to smile warmly, running his free hand across them to clear away the tears. “I’m sorry, seems I got caught up in my own talking I barely gave you a chance to process anything I said”
You began profusely shaking your head, not wanting him to apologise to you for anything, you just couldn't understand why he was saying any of this to you or why he would care so much in the first place. Just thinking of it made you smile. This whole situation was so overwhelming yet so comforting, the only thing you could get your body to do was hug him. A hug which he returned, no hesitation. His embrace was warm, comforting, even more so than the night sky you’d been absorbed in just moments before. All his words seemed so true at this moment.
“You know… I’ve seen many sights since I came to this school, views many people only dream of seeing, and yet, none compare to your smile.”

To The Rescue (Reese Wilkerson X Reader)
Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: Reese may be a bully, but he has to draw the line somewhere. That line is bullying girls, whether it’s him or someone else doing it.
***
You didn’t know what you did wrong. Maybe you accidentally gave a dirty look or said something that was taken the wrong way. All you knew was that Steve Richards hated your guts, and made a point of showing you that every day at school.
It was small things at first. Bumping into you in hallways, nudging a book or pencil off your desk. Annoying, but relatively harmless things.
But then he would start taunting and teasing you. Making fun of different little things about you, pulling your hair when he sat behind you in class. He never did it when a teacher would see; instead, he would wait until the two of you were alone or when he had his little posse around him.
Like now.
“Hey, dork face.” It was a stupid insult, pretty unoriginal if you were being honest. But you didn’t say that. You figured trying to fight back would only make the encounter worse. “How’s it goin’?”
“Fine.” You reply in a deadpan tone. Suddenly, the walk across campus that you took every day seemed even longer as Steve followed you.
“Geez, someone’s uptight.” He laughed, crossing his arms and leaning down closer to your level. “You know, maybe if you did something about that face of yours-”
“Excuse me?” You stopped walking, turning to face him.
“You heard me.” Steve looked you up and down with a shrug. “And if you dress less like you’re trying to repel guys, maybe one would give you a little stress relief, and you wouldn’t be such a stuck-up bitch all the time.”
“You’re a pig!” You yelled, trying to push him. In response, Steve pushed you back. Being the strong football player he was, a slight nudge was enough to make you stumble into the wall behind you. “What’s your deal?!”
“I’m only trying to help, L/n.”
“Well, stop!” You tried walking away, but Steve grabbed your arm so you wouldn’t get too far.
“Didn’t your parents ever tell you not to walk away from someone when they’re talking to you?”
“Leave me alone!”
“You heard her, Richards.” A new voice entered the conversation, and Steve stepped back from you. You both looked to the side to see Reese Wilkerson glaring Steve down. “Leave her alone.”
“This is none of your business, Reese.” Steve tried to seem like he had the upper hand in the situation, but you could see him discreetly take a few more steps away from you. You’ve seen Reese fight before; he was known to show no mercy when someone really pissed him off. You just didn’t know why he seemed so mad about Steve bothering you.
“Let me make it my business then.” Reese walked closer to the two of you, gaze focused on the football player. “Scram.”
“Or what?” Steve put on a brave facade. But it quickly diminished when Reese gave him a good right hook in the face. You jumped away with a yelp, unable to do anything but watch the two fight. Despite Steve being bigger, Reese was clearly going to walk away from this with less damage.
It must’ve been another minute or so before Reese finally stopped pummeling Steve. He left the boy lying on the ground, face an array of different colors and a scared look in his eyes. Reese moved as if he was gonna go in on Steve again, and the boy scrambled up and off of the ground before running.
Reese gave you a quick once over, maybe to see if you were okay, before walking away. You sped after him, tapping his shoulder to make him stop.
“Thanks.” You said. A look of confusion flashed across Reese’s face, but it was gone as fast as it came. He must’ve never been thanked for beating the shit out of someone before. “For... You know, for the help.”
“No problem.” He said.
You saw the smallest hint of a smile before he turned back around and kept walking. You knew you should’ve continued your journey to class, but you felt like you couldn’t move. Instead, you watched the boy who had defended you walk until he was out of sight.

today (in a day, part 3)
(part 1 here; part 2 here; part 4 here; part 5 here; masterlist of works here)
Daryl x pagan!reader
Terminus, after the fall of the prison
CW: none, slight angst but with a nice fluffy ending for you all... for now
Summary: In a train car in Terminus, I wondered if someday, I'd ever get a chance to tell Daryl Dixon that the magic rocks he loved to tease me about really did work, after all.
I woke from the nightmare with Daryl's name on my lips and the rawness in my throat that told me I'd been screaming. The others were gathered at the end of the dark train car, politely ignoring me and my sleep issues.
Except for Maggie. Her sympathy would have been painful if we hadn't been in the same position days before, both of us searching for someone we cared about. Both of us fighting back hopelessness that they were lost forever.
I turned away from her all the same, shoving a shaking hand through my hair and focusing on my breathing. My hand came up automatically to my neck, reaching for the necklace that wasn't there. It dropped away again, and I closed my eyes against the tidal wave of pain.
We'd been happy. We'd been safe and settled and in a place protected and defensible. And then the sickness had hit, and it'd been terrifying. That had been bad enough, especially sending Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Bob off for medicines at a place that hadn't been worth the risk. Especially when I'd gotten sick, too, sometime after Glenn and Sasha but before they'd gotten back.
Then everything had seemed like it would be ok; Daryl riding in at the rescue at the last minute, when everything went to shit and we were all about dead from the disease and our friends turning. He'd come up the stairs at a dead run, and the last thing I remembered before passing out was my necklace sliding from under his shirt to swing free as he bent over me, my name sounding distorted and far away.
I'd come to in C block, hooked to an IV and significantly better, and then-
Then the Governor had attacked. The prison had fallen.
And the last I'd seen of Daryl was a walker at his neck, while the rubble from the bridge collapsed around him. Then Maggie had drug me screaming away, to help her try to find Glenn.
It seemed like life had turned into a nightmare I couldn't wake up from, ever since the moment I'd handed Daryl my necklace wordlessly and kissed his cheek. He'd promised, I thought as I stared at the wall of the train car, waiting for my hands to stop shaking and my heart to settle down again. He'd promised he'd be back, and everything would be fine.
He had something to tell me when he got back, he said.
We never got around to whatever it was he wanted to say. I wondered- I hoped- it broke my heart to think that it might have been what I'd say to him now, if only. If only.
If only he'd come in, crossbow tanging, to save the day again. To get us out of here. Just one more miracle, I pleaded to the universe. Just one more. Just give me him back, one more time, and it didn't matter if I died here in Terminus and got eaten for lunch.
If I could just say what I needed to say first, today could be the day I died.
I woke up more gently this time, Glenn touching my shoulder. Light filtered in from the cracks and holes in the wood, and outside, something was happening. Gunfire filled the air, sounding like it came from all around us at once. I got to my feet, joining the others in a huddle at the far end of the car.
"What do we think?" Maggie whispered.
Abraham looked serious, concentration all over his face in the dim light. I closed my eyes, drawing in a long slow breath and trying to block out the echoes, to pick one sound and concentrate on it to figure out the direction it came from, the way Daryl had taught me.
I was shit in the woods and always would be, I knew, but this- I could isolate my senses. It was similar to what I did when meditating anyway, but trying to orient a sound in all the chaos outside was hard.
Abraham started to speak, but Sasha shushed him. "She's the best at this. She can figure out where a pin dropped in field of snow, I swear."
"I'm not that good," I muttered, but I'd already figured it out. "Heading toward us. Getting closer every time… they're herding people." Disgust curled my lip. "Someone figured it out and is fighting back. I hope they win."
"They win, we starve in here. Unless your magic ears or magic birds can figure out a way to peck that lock open," Abraham informed me.
"Skeptic," I muttered. He was right, though. We were locked in. I didn't much care. "No magic nothing. The birds are just omens; I'm not the Raven Whisperer. And they were right, weren't they? 'Thirteen beware, it's the devil himself'. Fucking Gareth qualifies, don't you think?"
"Maybe. But my hairy red ass doesn't have faith in any of your nonsense."
I flashed him a small smile, not in the least offended. "Don't worry. I don't have much faith in your hairy red ass, either."
That had the lot of us laughing, a surprising skill we'd almost forgotten in recent days. Then the gunfire ceased, and Gareth's voice sounded outside the train car. It was too muffled to make out words, even with my eyes closed and concentrating hard.
I reached out a hand blindly as another voice answered his, a voice that felt familiar. The words were barely understandable, but it couldn't be who I thought it was. There was no way.
"My son!"
In the pause, Maggie's hand gripped mine back tightly. My knees went weak, the world swimming through my closed eyes, and I forced myself to breathe.
"I'll go in with him!"
More muted, muffled words from Gareth, and then-
The door cracked open, a groaning noise that had me wincing, opening my eyes automatically like it could make the sound lessen. It did, in a way, but now half-blind, I watched as a figure walked in, slowly, reluctantly.
An impossible figure, one that had me drawing in a gasp even as my eyes watered against the light. I'd know that walk anywhere, and so would the others shifting and stirring around me.
Before I could recover from the shock of seeing Rick come in, he turned and another form appeared in the blinding light of the open car door, even as Gareth's voice called more clearly, words understandable this time.
"Now the archer!"
My legs went out from under me, and it was only Glenn catching my elbow that kept me on my feet.
The archer. The words rang in my ears, time slowing to a crawl, and there he was. Impossibly, unfathomably, miraculously, there he was. Not just the archer, I thought in a dizzying haze. My archer. The only archer who mattered.
Daryl was alive. Daryl was alive, and he was here, coming through those doors like I'd begged the universe the night before.
Michonne was next, more miracles, and Carl followed, and darkness slammed over us all again as the door was shut. The locked clicked into the sudden silence, and I fought to breathe. I wanted to run over; to fling myself into his arms and see if I was hallucinating.
I waited for the nightmare to send me screaming back into reality.
Rick stared into the corner where we stood, and he started to smile. "They're going to be mad when they find out," he said softly.
And then Daryl's eyes met mine.
He crossed the car in three strides, between one blink and the next, and his hands were on my cheeks as he stared into my eyes, searching my face while I searched his right back.
"Hey," I managed. "What'd you want to tell me?"
He blinked once, wordless, and I felt my courage starting to wane. All those promises to the universe, to myself, that I'd say what had been on the tip of my tongue for so long but I'd bitten back, not wanting to lose the friendship with my crystal-finding, snarky friend- they fell away into the voice that said not to rock the boat; that this was enough, just having him alive.
To risk it now, and be wrong, would be worse than these days had been. Today wouldn't be the day I got him back just to ruin a perfectly good friendship with my unrequited feelings.
His lips crashed into mine, his hands locking at the back of my shirt as he hauled me up to my toes and crushed me against him. I heard the sound I made dimly, from far away, too caught up in the warmth of his body, in the brush of ragged stubble against my skin, in the taste of cigarettes on his lips as they devoured mine hungrily, desperately, wildly.
He kissed like he fought; like it was the difference between life and death.
"Told her," Maggie said, voice smug. "Pay up, Rhee."
"With what? We're in a train car."
Oh. Yeah. We were, I reminded myself.
"Leave them alone," Maggie chided. "It's been a long damn time coming."
After that, I tuned them out. Daryl's mouth left mine; he released me just enough to stare into my eyes again, his purer and deeper than any crystal I'd stared into. More beautiful, too. More haunting and haunted.
"Daryl," I whispered. "I-"
"Hang on," he interrupted me. "I- hang on."
Stunned, baffled, I waited as he released his grip on me, taking a step away and turning, hands scrubbing over his face. He let out a jagged huff of air as cold hit in the absence of his arms around me. Instantly, I felt bereft. Tears threatened, tears of relief, tears of grief; I didn't fucking know.
Then he turned back, grabbing my hand and pooling something into it, spilling from his hand to mine like liquid. But it wasn't.
It was my necklace, the crystals clattering faintly, the chain flowing over my hand and slipping between my fingers. I shook my head. "No. You- you need-"
"Baby," he whispered, voice cracking. "Put the damn thing on. I- I found- I added somethin'. Hope ya don't mind."
I frowned, lifting it to catch the faint light. There was my obsidian, my rose quartz, the bloodstone he'd brought me, and- I squinted. "What is that?"
"It's a- a ring. On the chain, so's ya don't foul it up on nothin' wearin' it on ya finger."
"I- what?"
"Shit," he muttered. "I'm fuckin' it up. I don't- I thought ya were dead."
"I thought you were dead, too," I said softly, the fear rushing in again. I could see him being bitten, clear as the moment it happened, and only the soft touch of his hand on my cheek brought me back. "I was- Daryl, I-"
"Shhh," he urged, stopping me with a finger against my lips. "I gotta- lemme just- shit. Ain't good with words. Or feelings. Just- remember ya tellin' me about rubies, and I found that awhile ago, out on a run, and I been trynna work up the courage to ask- to tell ya-"
I blinked when he went silent, ducking his head and hunching his shoulders. Rubies. I'd told him how much I liked rubies, but I wouldn't wear one unless I was in a relationship, because to me it was the stone most representative of romantic love. It was associated with heart and root, with passion and vitality and love for life, but sometimes personal meanings shape more of a stone's properties than widely accepted ones.
To me, rubies were love. They were intense emotions, deep connections, fiery passion.
He'd gotten me a ruby. He-
"Daryl, are you trying to tell me you love me?" I finally managed, the words somehow finding their way past the dam in my throat that tried to hold them back.
I met his eyes in the still silence, frowning as I noticed the bruising around his eye for the first time. "Oh my god, what-"
He grabbed my hand as I raised it to his eye to sweep his hair away and figure out how bad the damage was. "Shit. Stop that. Eye's fuckin' fine. Baby. Yeah. That's what I's trynna say, and- well. I- I love ya."
My heart stopped and started again. I disengaged my hand from his, gently, and pulled my necklace into place over my head, so the stones settled against my heart. Then I looked into his anxious eyes, moving closer as I fiddled with the rose quartz I'd worn for so long. "Remember back in the quarry, when you asked me if these really worked? And I said I'd let you know someday?"
His lips turned up in the faintest of smiles. "Yeah."
"I just found out today that they do. Daryl, I-"
I didn't manage to get the words out all the way because he was kissing me again, soft and sweet this time. Like we had all the time in the world, he pulled me gently to him, fingers threading through my hair.
I kissed him back, content. Even if we never had another, I had what I'd needed. I had this. I had him. I had today.

Survivor's Blood (Leon x Reader) - Chapter 6
Survivor's Blood
Pairing: Leon x Reader
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Chapter 6 (you are here!)
Summary: After Raccoon City, Leon became the only Government agent with that kind of expertise. With relentless training, he was now a Special Agent - again, on his first day in the job. He just didn’t expect to live Raccoon City all over again… Maybe Leon was fated to always have the worst first-days-at-work ever.
Age Restriction: 18+. It’s horror, so expect a lot of graphic violence and blood dripping from this. I mean, VERY GRAPHICAL VIOLENCE. Nothing we haven’t seen on RE, but still. Yee been warned
TRIGGER WARNING: Leon has a slight panic attack on this one, right at the end. Proceed with caution.
Author's Notes: Wow. I just looked at the last post, Chapter 5, I posted LITERALLY one year ago, on June 26. I swear I didn't plan this, life's crazy! Craziness aside, this time we have a slight smaller chapter because I wanted to end it with Leon having a small panic attack from his PTSD the poor guy. I recently watched REC, the Spanish found footage horror movie, and OH GODS, it's AMAZING. LOVED it. Took a little to find the one with original Spanish audio, but totally worth it - if there ever was a Resident Evil movie following the games, it had to be like REC; hence why I came back to writing if after such a long time. Also, I'm now watching the RE4 Remake as a movie - I'm a little sad I don't know any streamers I like in English who have played the game, so I'm watching with no commentary, as I did with RE4 looooong ago 'cause I was too scared of chainsaw man. Maybe I'll get to finish this story soon!
Chapter 6
Hospital Arklay Hill, April 29th, 2001 – 22h13
Leon stared at his watch – glancing at the clock on the wall, you understood why his eyes seemed so restless: on his schedule, you had to be at the school in less than ten minutes.
And that would never happen.
“Is it ok if we run a little late?” You quietly asked him, avoiding the ears of the other survivors. Neither of you wanted them to get desperate.
“Yeah, I planned it with a few minutes for us to breathe in case something went wrong.” Even so, his sigh showed Leon wasn’t too happy with that.
You almost smiled. Such a perfectionist. You could easily see how high his standards were for himself – and how much he wanted to achieve them.
“Well, I’m counting Lickers as something going wrong.” Your answer made him huff a quick smile. “Seriously, those things are awful. What was Umbrella thinking…?”
“They weren’t thinking. Period.” Leon’s words were dry and filled with a bitterness that made you stare back at him. As he checked the shotgun’s ammo for the last time, there was something sharp in his eyes – only Leon knew how everything that happened in Raccoon City affected his life. “Ready to go, partner?”
“Oh, yeah, choco chip.” You had a not so happy smile on your lips as your words dripped sarcasm. Leon couldn’t stop himself from chuckling.
“C’mon, we’re getting out of this. You’ll never have to think about it again.”
You sincerely hoped his words to be true.
*
“When we open this door, no one comes out. I’m gonna check the corridor and when I tell y/n it’s all ok, you can get out. Understood?”
All survivors agreed with their heads – even if you didn’t agree much on Leon going out on his own, seeing you basically saved his life, killing a Licker point blank.
You would do it again if you had to.
Leon silently opened the door, leaving the shotgun hanging on his back. You had no idea why he didn’t have it ready on his hands, but you weren’t a trained agent like him. He didn’t fully close the door so it wouldn’t click and you held it on place – your head almost glued to the wood, trying to hear any kind of noise going on the other side.
“What if he dies out there…?” Valerie’s whisper was almost as silent as a needle dropping on the floor – but those words were as deadly as a nuclear bomb.
Up until that moment, you hadn’t stopped to think about that – and, to be fair, you hadn’t had the chance to think. Everything was chaos and the only thing you were supposed to do was keep going, keep moving to survive that hellish night. But Valerie’s words had reason: what would you all do if Leon, the only one trained and seasoned enough to get through it, died right then and there? What would you do if a Licker shredded him to pieces and decided to wait for you all to come out so you would have the same fate?
If Leon didn’t survive, you probably wouldn’t survive – it was simple as that. But something else hurt in that thought… Yes, you had just met him, but not having him around seemed… Empty. Unfair.
He couldn’t die. Leon wouldn’t die. You would make sure of that – after all, you had fearlessly killed a Licker in the heat of the moment to make sure Leon would keep walking by your side. And you would get out of that damned city together, that was the only certainty you allowed in your heart.
Not wanting to make any noise, you held Valerie’s hand, lightly reassuring the woman everything was going to be alright. She turned her eyes to you, taking a deep breath upon seeing you so calm and sure – still trying to hear whatever was going on outside.
In that situation, though, a few seconds dragged themselves like a whole eternity. You were probably holding your breath, you weren’t really paying attention to that at the moment, when you heard a light scratching on the door.
“Clear.” Leon’s voice was but a murmur, one only you could hear, but it was enough.
You signaled the other survivors to leave the room: the man in the lab coat went first, followed by a father and his teenage son, an elderly woman and finally Valerie. You kept your gun ready in your hands, leaving the room with the door open – if one of those creatures tried to follow from the depths of the corridor, the door could perhaps distract it.
Leon signaled you to take the lead, keeping the shotgun locked and loaded as the scared group followed you towards the door – wincing as soon as they saw the Licker, covering their mouths so they wouldn’t scream in horror. Valerie aided the elderly woman while the lab coat man only rolled his eyes. The father, helped his son walk straight, as the boy was wearing hospital clothes. Leon watched everything carefully at the back of the group – also making sure he was listening carefully.
He had seen survivor’s groups like those – he had talked to Jill and Carlos about their many missions, he had conversations with Chris about his S.T.A.R.S assignments, and he had heard a story or two from Claire. Lab coat man obviously thought everyone was a hinderance, so Leon would keep a sharp eye on him as well: those kinds of people wouldn’t flinch at the chance of sacrificing someone else to save their own skin.
And even if Leon despised those types, he would save that guys’ ass because of his own set of moral values – not because the guy was actually worth something.
As soon as you reached the dead Licker on the floor, you raised your right hand so the group came to a halt – making Leon smirk in the process. You were proving to be quite a surprise and, if he was going to be honest, a very welcome one.
Quietly kicking the Licker aside, you forced the door open one more time – using your stealthier skills as to not make any noise at it. Holding the gun with one hand, you looked back at Leon and, as he nodded, you nodded back, pushing the rest of the door and holding it open with one of your feet, immediately pointing the gun at the corridor you had first seen that horrid creature.
You quickly pointed at one side, then at the other – checking it twice just to make sure. It was empty, quiet, like a forgotten tomb reeking of blood and decay. You furrowed your brows as something immediately came to your mind: what if there were other survivor’s hidden at the hospital who weren’t as lucky as those with you to have an old radio and ask for help? They would be left there to die – and you were right there.
You didn’t have time to search the place with Leon, though. Even if you wanted to, your heart desperately screaming you should delve in deeper and help those who couldn’t help themselves, you couldn’t. You had to save those you were able to save. You had to turn around and never look back.
Shaking your head quickly, you held the door open so the group could continue forward. Leon noticed something was wrong – as you stared at a bloodstain on the floor with an empty yet uncomfortable expression. He had to tap you on the shoulder so you would snap out of it, looking back into his grayish sea eyes, and finding them with a question inside.
You could almost hear him saying ‘are you ok?’ – which seemed to be something you would ask each other infinitely that night.
You nodded back, quietly closing the door and taking the lead once again. You made sure to guide the group through the safest patches of floor – those that weren’t slippery with blood or that weren’t filled with broken things that when stepped on could make a horrible noise. Keeping that pace, you would reach the door in no time.
As the group kept going, Leon’s steps got slower. Something crept from the bowels of the Hospital to cling into his heart; something wasn’t right. He kept walking slowly, trying to figure out that feeling at the base of his stomach – but you were almost there. By crossing the sterile white doors, you would get to the waiting room, then the main hall, and then out.
Leon halted completely when he heard something. Looking back at you and the survivor’s group, it seemed like he was the only one who had heard it. Leon immediately turned his head to the other end of the corridor – covered in complete darkness, looking like an endless descent into hell itself.
The noise came with a gentle gust of cold wind, sounding like a faint breath from something inhuman. As if the Hospital itself was breathing – slowly, ominously… Hungrily. Leon could swear he heard very distant groans and things being knocked out of their place, echoing through the halls and corridors, to almost fail at reaching his ears.
But if there was something he learned at the RPD that fateful night, that would be listening. He survived through carefully hearing and identifying how to choose a slightly safer path that night.
As you reached the white double door, you looked back to check on Leon – only to find him standing at a certain distance from the group, gripping the shotgun with both hands in front of his body, looking back inside the Hospital.
You almost let out an audible sigh. There was no way you could know what he was thinking without speaking to him, but watching Leon looking back made your heart stir with a violent desire of going even deeper into that hell to search for other survivors. There was no way a place as big as that would have only five people alive – and you couldn’t even imagine how harrowing it would be to survive only to be left to die in there, unable to save yourself.
“Leon…?” You risked a murmur, barely noticing how the other survivors watched you both with expectation – and uneasiness. “Leon…!”
As you slightly raised your voice, Leon seemed to snap out of it and look back at you. The worry in his grayish sea eyes was different than the one that resided in yours – making him wonder even more what in the hell was haunting you since you got out from that room. You signaled the double door with your head and he agreed, quickly – but quietly – regrouping.
That alleviated a little bit of the tension on the group – and, as you carefully opened the white door, they had no fear because Leon was on the back giving you cover. Just like before, you stepped in the waiting room first, checking every corner with your gun before holding the door open for the other survivors to come through.
The father told his son not to look at the dead bodies you and Leon had shot before. Valerie did her best to help the elderly woman to cross the path without falling. Lab coat man kept rolling his eyes and fidgeting, almost pushing the father and the son out of his way to reach the exit first – being blocked by you as soon as you reached the milky glass door.
“C’mon. Let’s get out of this fucking place already.”
“You wanna go first and risk being eaten by one of those things? Be my guest.” You waved at the door, staring at him without a single drop of patience left in your body. Leon had already been rude with the man before, so you took the chance to do that too. No one would tell you off if you did so – in a matter of fact, you were probably saying what everyone wanted to say. “Things aren’t much better out there than in here, you know.”
The man looked like he had just eaten a full slice of lemon and was tasting the consequences. If you weren’t in that situation, Leon would’ve probably laughed.
As the milky glass door jammed once more, you looked back at Leon only to see him nodding: you could go to the other room, he would cover you and protect the survivors. Pointing the gun in the air once more, you squeezed through, ready to shoot anything that might have come in during your stay in the Hospital.
And once more, Leon looked back – to the double white doors you had just left behind. Did he hear a… Stomp?
His heart trembled inside his chest. Suddenly, it seemed like the entire Hospital didn’t have enough air for him to breathe. Leon furrowed his brows as his heartbeat got faster. It couldn’t be. That Tyrant, at least that’s what he was told that thing was called, couldn’t be back. He had killed it, blown it into oblivion with a missile launcher – Leon watched as the only thing that was left from that Tyrant were its legs; tearing it in half being the only way to make it stop following Leon around.
For years after he left Raccoon Leon kept dreaming about that. Constant nightmares with that Tyrant following him, sucker punching him every time they met and Leon wasn’t quick enough to run away. It felt like his whole body was broken, but he couldn’t stop running, could he? Even if his bones turned into mush, Leon had to keep running – or he would have never left Raccoon City.
Even now, there were some nights Leon woke up with the sound of those steps viciously approaching him in his nightmares – only to have him open his eyes on his bed, sweating like a pig, barely being able to breathe. He could’ve escaped and killed the creature, but he couldn’t escape meeting it in his dreams when his mind was particularly unstable.
And he could swear he was hearing those stomps, right there in that Hospital, echoing like a ghost coming back from his past to haunt him in the present.
“Leon…?” It was Valerie’s voice that tired to pull him out this time. She carefully tried to touch one of his arms, knowing very well it wasn’t the smartest of choices, given the fact he was holding a gun. But Leon closed his eyes, trying to take deep breaths – Valerie was used to seeing panic attacks and that was the beginning of one. And her rescuer having a panic attack was definitely not a good thing. “Leon. You need to come back.” Her voice was almost inaudible, but she was close enough for him to listen. Placing her whole palm on his arm, she started to gently rub his skin, trying to anchor him back into the present. “Listen to me. It’s ok. We need you here, Leon. Please.”
Those words made him open his eyes again, looking back into Valerie’s eyes. The woman had nothing but reassurance, even in that godforsaken situation – clearly a seasoned nurse who was used to taking care of people… And people like him.
Leon took another deep breath, watching her smile in the process, finally noticing her touch on his arm. With another breath, his heart started beating a little calmer and it seemed like the stomping had stopped. Leon looked back at the white doors again, but nothing could be heard. He closed his eyes once more, taking another breath, and looking back at Valerie right after.
“Thank you. We need to go now.” With those words, he nodded at the jammed door – Leon and Valerie were the only ones left, with you helping the elderly lady squeeze through without getting hurt. Valerie smiled back, immediately going to the door to help you and cross to the other side.
Leon risked one last look to the double door, only to hear nothing. Whatever it was, it would be shut in the bowels of that Hospital forever – and he couldn’t be happier with that.

┄┄ ︰ ┄୨୧┄ ︰ ┄┄
god.
standing on top of the body miles couldn’t breath- god what has he done? there was blood everywhere; on the ground, on the walls, on him. the world seemingly began to spin, miles was beginning to hyperventilate with ringing in his ears.
it had happened so fast, too fast. he was supposed stop some of these guys from a smuggling, he never meant to kill anyone. god where did he go wrong? trying to remember only seemed to make this all worse, he could feel his mouth start to salivate, miles was gonna be sick-
“MILES! hey are you listening?!” aaron yelled. grabbing his shoulder while taking miles out of his trance. just how long have they been standing here? “hey look we have to go” he had began dragging miles to the parked car. this was all surreal and too sudden, fuck what was he going to do now? how could he possibly live knowing he took someone else’s life? what if he went to prison? how would uncle aaron see him? how would his mom see him? fuck how would you see him?
being practical shoved in the car he could hear his uncle’s voice. “listen miles we tell nobody, not your mother, not your friends, absolutely nobody. ok?” miles truly wishes he could respond but honestly everything his uncle said went into one ear and out the other. instead of responding miles opted for nodding thats all he could do right now.
god miles just wanted to go home and sleep the night away in his parents bed like he used to, when everything was fine and all he had to worry about was going waking up on time..oh how the times have changed, miles can’t remember when it all changed.
miles was so absorbed by his own thoughts that he didn’t even notice he was already home. turning his head he could see the conflicted look on his uncles face. “look miles…im sorry none of that shit should have happened….fuck” miles wasn’t upset with his uncle, no it wasn’t him who dragged miles into this, miles did this to himself. he got so engrossed with his depression and rage that he ended up taking this stupid offer in the first place but here he is, dont get him wrong, miles never intended to kill anyone. besides needing a distraction from his grief he needed this money, miles refused to watch his mother work herself to the bone. either way if miles could take it all back he definitely would.
“…so what should we do now?” god his mouth was so dry and his voice sounded so weak. “ill fix all of this, you don’t have to worry about anything…” aaron trailed on “fuck im so sorry miles” his uncle’s voice didn’t sound any stronger than his, miles could hear how apologetic his uncle was. “..why dont you head inside, its late and your mother is probably worried sick…ill deal with everything..” nodding his head miles made his way into his complex. miles was beyond tired and decided that he would sleep all of this away and deal with everything tomorrow.

Hey, I found your blog looking for Dagan Gera stuff after finishing Jedi Survivor. Saw you were taking requests and figured I’d send in one myself because I love your writing and Dagan absolutely needs more love.
Would it be ok if I requested a Dagan x Female!Current Jedi!Reader based off your relationship head canons you did? Where the reader is separated from Cal and ends up with Dagan.
It saddens me to search the Dagan Gera tag and see the same 4/5 fanfics every time! He definitely needs more love and I'm here to give it to him ♡
Hope I didn't disappoint!!
¨”⍣~•★ 𝐥'𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐮 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 | dagan gera x f!jedi!reader ★•~⍣°”¨
not even the moon could tear my eyes away from you.
Cal, Cal...Cal. There was so much noise, so much pain and confusion. The last thing you saw was a smoke bomb being thrown your way and the flash of Cal's blue saber trying to shield you off of your attackers. A pair of big, rough hands dragged you away, and somewhere amidst the fighting, you lost your consciousness.
"we stay together now, no more running off,"
"who said anything about running off? in fact, I am a very responsible jedi,"
"I'm convinced you and Merrin must be sisters."
The colours of the monochromatic room were the first to greet your eyes. The lights flickered for a moment, burning your eyes as they tried to adjust to the change. Your head was pounding.
You didn't recognize this room, it looked ancient but somewhat...modern. The walls were shiny white, with golden stripes. The symbol of the Jedi Order was painted onto the floor, in all its old glory. The High Republic, the peak of the order....
In alarm, you scurried up to your feet, reaching for your lightsaber, but your hands tapped the empty belt.
"Looking for this?" The door slided open, a pair of boots stomped in. Dagan waved your lightsaber in his hands.
"Give it to me." You hissed, holding out your hand. Dagan tutted and shook his head.
"Cal has yet to come for you." Dagan announced. He waited for you to say something, to react, maybe even try and attack him. You didn't. "Does he not care for you?"
"Is that what I am now?" You crossed your arms. "Bait?"
Dagan tilted his head, then narrowed his gaze. One, two... He shook his head, a small grin twitched in his lips.
"Yes." He said simply. "No."
You raised an eyebrow, confused. You could feel Dagan's presence and it was cold, angry and...something else, you couldn't quite put your finger on it. The Jedi that stood before you was a relic of the past, of times now forgotten, and underneath all that darkness and hunger for revenge was a confused and hurt man.
"Are you going to keep me here?" You asked, not once taking your eyes off of him. You found that Dagan could only hold your gaze for no longer than a few seconds.
"Yes." Replied Dagan.
"For how long?" You sat back down, leaning against the cold wall. You hoped Cal would return soon, you didn't know what to expect from Rayvis and the Fallen Jedi, and you didn't want to find out.
The silence lingered and stretched for uncomfortably long seconds. You looked away to the window beside you, watching the clouds outside. It was so beautiful, you thought. In your years with Cal, you had seen so much of the galaxy, in its worst and best.
Now you wondered if you would ever see that again.
Lost in your thoughts, you failed to notice Dagan leaving. The door glided closed, and the faint sound of a beep was caught by your ears. Locked in and guarded outside. You didn't have your lightsaber or your blaster with you, and the room was deprived of anything else.
You would have to wait.
And that wait dragged on weeks and weeks on end. During that time, you had gotten to know Dagan better than you ever thought possible. It was hard not to, as the fallen Jedi had made it a habit to come to your "cell" to talk - it had started with simple questions;
"How did you meet Cal?"
"Did he train you?"
"Who are the members of his crew?"
But you would budge one second. You would never betray Cal like that, he was like a brother to you. Your family. Just as Merrin, Greez and Cere were. In your unwillingness to share and determination, Dagan found himself complimenting you for it, telling you how that was a strong trait to have, how Cal was lucky to have you (he gritted his teeth at the 'compliment', he should be the one to have y-) and... at first, you resisted. You insulted at each and little thing you could sense and knew about him.
But Dagan always found himself back to you. The questions slowly began to turn around to only you. Simple things such as your homeworld, your favorite planet, how you built your lightsaber...and despite all odds, you found yourself replying to him. Every time.
You tried to make him open up, to speak to you like a normal person. But all you got was a scoff and an eye roll, completely dismissing you. Accepting defeat, you told Dagan of the state of the galaxy, of the rise of the Empire and the fall of the Jedi Order, how you were just a child when it happened, how your master died to save you. Only did you stop when your voice failed you, when the tears freely strolled down your face and your shoulders trembled.
Dagan, who had been listening to you, his emotions shifting between anger and disappointment, was caught off guard by your tears. He didn't like seeing you cry, but it brought you closer to him and further away from Kestis. He couldn't let that opportunity slip past his fingers.
His arm wrapped around you, bringing you closer to his body and resting his chin atop your head. "Shh, shh," Dagan kissed your forehead, letting you cry against his chest, hoping that would ease your troubled mind....and bring you to him.
Dagan was right in the end.
As the days passed, no signs of Cal Kestis or his friends, Dagan made it his mission to turn your mind to him. He was only showing you the truth. The cold and hard truth. There was no hope for the galaxy! The Jedi are gone! But Dagan has a plan, he assures you, Tanalorr is the future for the both of you, and the new order that Dagan intends to nourish.
And you? You slowly fall into his webs. You allow this fallen Jedi, knight of the Jedi Order of old, to enter your mind and body with his words, his touches, and his kisses. You want it to feel wrong, it should be wrong, but it feels so right, especially when he's mapping your body with his touches, holding you close to him as if the galaxy depended on it.
Dagan would let you accompany him once he was sure your loyalty lays with him and only him. Soon enough, you would turn into his trusted advisor and lover. He would compare you to Santari Khri, but remind you how much better than her you were.
"You won't betray me." Dagan would tell you, his cold hand on your chin, tilting your head upwards to look at him. "I know it. I feel it."
In the privacy of his chambers, he'd kiss your lips, and his kiss would feel like a storm. Passionate, aggressive, as if he was trying to possess you in every sense of the word. His body was but a means to worship yours, and Dagan found himself falling into the warmth of your love.
With you by his side, Dagan was more confident than ever. You had to keep him under control, or he would leave destruction and death in his wake, more than he already has. He would not stand for anyone getting in the way of Tanalorr and his mission to reshape the galaxy.
Rayvis teases Dagan. You soften the fallen Knight. You are a weakness to him, as he is yours. He may try to hide it as best as he can, but everyone can see it as clear as day - the longing of his eyes, the blue that softens whenever you enter a room or look at him.
Dagan will deny it, no matter how obvious it is. You once walk in on him Force-choking one of the raiders, who had been unlucky enough to be in earshot of Dagan while talking about his weakness, you.
"Dagan!" You stood, horrified at the scene. "Put him down!"
Dagan peered over his shoulder to look at you. The anger of his eyes faltered for a second.
"Leave." The raider was slammed against the wall, hands grasping at the invisible pressure on his throat. "Now. You shouldn't see this." The humming of his red blade was another proof of how far Dagan was willing to go.
He didn't listen to you. Not this time. The raider laid dead at his feet, and Dagan sheathed his lightsaber back onto his belt. He wrapped his arm around you, taking your lips in his again, and you found yourself complying, as you had many times before.
But something was heaving on his mind. Cal Kestis. He was intent on getting you back, as if you weren't as safe as you could be under Dagan's protection. You didn't want your friend to fall to his blade, but you knew what Dagan was capable of.
"He will try to take you from me. I won't lose you." Dagan whispered by your ear at night, his chest pressing onto your back. "I won't lose you the way I lost Tanalorr."
"You won't." You assured him, taking his hand and kissing his knuckles, his fingers, his palm. "I promise you."
Dagan nuzzled his face in your neck, "You are so beautiful. So very beautiful." He murmured against your skin. "Not even the moon could tear my eyes away from you."
You smiled, feeling his hold on your waist tighten. You had grown used to his Force presence, as it comforted you so many times before. It now felt warm and cozy, like a blanket being placed around you. Maybe a shield? No matter how you put it, it always made you feel like there was nothing that could stand in your way.
Dagan was right. The galaxy needed a new beginning, and you two were the right people for it. You trusted Dagan to settle things right.
Cal was an afterthought.

Puppy love
seungmin x reader
genre: fluff fluff and more fluff (with a hint of more fluff)
warnings: mentions of injury, use of pet names and lots of scolding from Seungmin
Word count: 639
Summary: Seungmin had puppy like looks and you had the personality of a puppy. Together? One giant puppy.
A/n: i ac rlly like this one 😭
▼・ᴥ・▼
You met Seungmin through friends. It was at a party that both friends had attended and so inevitably both of you attended to as well. You walked up to your friend who was talking with Seungmin. You had glitter in your hair and your clothes were a little array from dancing jumping. You said hi to your friend and was having a conversation with them and Seungmin. Seungmin thought you were absolutely adorable! He had never met anyone like you! You were so giggly and bubbly! From that day on he pined over you for months. Every single time he saw you he was shy and giggly, laughing at every cute thing you did. He was certain he had to ask you out or at least just confess. “Oh my gosh date her minnie” came from the older members. He was going to!! He just wasn’t sure how…
Until the next mutual friend party, he knew you were going to attend and thats when he would confess! And just as he suspected..you were, you looked glittery as ever.
“hey y/n” He said feeling an overwhelming sense of shyness.
“Hiiii Seungmin!!” you said practically bouncing off the walls. “Hey listen um- i- um have to tell you something” he was so nervous maybe it was your overwhelmingly ecstatic personality or the fact he has had a huge crush on you for months.
“so ok um ihavelikeyouforevernowandihavewantedtotellyouthisforeverandiamnowjustrelisingihavelareadyconfessedbut-“ he was rambling on now and just before he could waffle a little longer you placed a kiss on his lips before pulling away and giggling.
“I like you to :))” you said before chuckling.
▼・ᴥ・▼
Fast forward about 2 months, your officially dating Seungmin. You have decided to visit him in the studio. “MINNIE!!!!” You scream before running into the room. However, you trip over your own feet and go flying. Chan and Changbin cringe at the accident. Seungmin in a panic, rushed to your side. You got up, stuck a thumbs up to Chan and Changbin before engulfing Seungmin in a hug. Completely gobsmacked Seungmin repeatedly asked if you were ok and looked you up and down. He stopped when he noticed you knee which was bleeding. He rolled his eyes and ran to get the first aid kit, he then sat you down on the sofa and kneeled down before your leg. He then went on to scold you.
“ya y/n you need to be more careful you know your clumsy and fall over a lot especially when the floors are slippy!” He said whilst peeling a plaster.
“im sorry min” you said lowering your head. Seungmin looked up noticing your look. You looked just like a hurt puppy!
“aw y/n im sorry i know you were just excited” he said kissing your knee and helping you up. “Now tell me about your day” he said with a smile.
▼・ᴥ・▼
You were always so excited by anything. It was one of the many qualities Seungmin loved about you. Except you can be a little exhausting at the best of times. If you ever saw something interesting you would run straight to it. You and Seungmin were walking in the park. He stopped just for a moment to fix his outfit when he turned to your and you were no where to be seen! Seungmin is a tad bit worried as he cannot see you anywhere. Until he saw your matching hat (that he bought for the both of you) bobbing through other couples and families. “Y/N!” He calls your name over and over whilst jogging towards you. He finally caught up to you and grabbed your wrist, panting trying to catch his breath up.
“Where the hell did you go?!?!” He scolded.
“There was a pretty butterfly :]” you smiled. Seungmin sighed, re-taking your hand and refusing to let go. Ever.
A/n: the way ive written this y/n im not too keen on but i hope you guys enjoy and if there are any other notes or want me to write this with another member let me know!!

There are not nearly enough of the clones being amazing big brothers so I’m here to change it :) please enjoy
“Braids”
Summary: You struggle trying to braid your hair while on your way to help oversee an important senate meeting off world. Frustrated you seek out some help in this fight.
Paring: Commander Wolffe x Padawan Reader (platonic obviously)
Warning: just so much fluff!
Word count: 937
Read here on ao3! (✩)
Ori’vod- Older brother
Cyare- Beloved
Why did this have to be so hard? You didn’t understand. You caught your eye in the mirror under the rats nest that was now your hair.
You definitely couldn’t show your face to a room of senators looking like you’d just walked through a nasty campaign.
You swore quickly under your breath before you took up the brush once again, at least to get the hair somewhat normal before you leave your own quarters. You could already here your ori’vods suppressed giggles now trying to be “polite” since you are their padawan commander.
The woosh of the door slid open, you stomped your way down the halls with a crushing grip around the hairbrush. Did you really know where you were going? No- but you knew where you could go to complain and honestly that’s what you needed
“Hello commander” A shiny- one you haven’t been met to yet stood and gave a formal nod as you entered. You’ll have to introduce yourself later because now you were on a mission.
Heavy boots sounded from somewhere deeper into the barracks until you herd the unmistakable voice of- “Y/N! Y/N!” “Commander” Sinker and Boost bounded into the room stoping a few feet in front of you noticing something was up
“What’s wrong commander?” Boost stepped forward first.
“It’s- well stupid now that I think about it, but have you seen Wolffe anywhere?”
“I hope you don’t plan to beat him to death with your hairbrush sir.” Sinker joked now slinking his arm around your shoulder, relieved that nothing totally serious was wrong.
You laughed, a smile easing back into your face. “No no, I just though he could help me.”
Boost opened his mouth again but before he could get his next word out the presence of their commanding officer in the doorway shut him up quickly.
“You needed me for something commander?” His deep voice filled your ears, you rolled your eyes knowing that title all clones should be using to address someone of your status he used to playfully annoy you.
“Mmhm.” You nodded walking up to the looming guy leaning against the barracks’s wall. This conversation was most definitely catching the attention of the rest of the pack weather it was obvious they were listening or not.
You held out the hairbrush and flashed your wrist adorned with rubber bands at him. It was his turn for his signature eye roll. “I though you caught on well when I showed you the first time.” He said in a low voice.
“Ok well it’s much harder on yourself.” You mock pouted crossing your arms. “Please? I don’t want to look like bantha poo when we touch down.”
“Fine cyare.” He sighed, anyone who could have over heard this would never have guest it would have been between on the the best commanders in the GAR and the padawan of very well respected Jedi.
Sinker and Boost laugh as the three of you followed Wolffe over to a couch that decorated the barrack giving it a more “homely” feel.
Wolffe gestured to the floor in front of his place on the couch, Sinker taking the floor next to you and Boost lounging over the other side of the cushion.
You could feel the callus of his fingers not yet hidden by the gloves almost everyone wears across you scalp. He was quite quick, already parting your hair down the middle and begun the braid at the crown of your head.
You glanced over at Boost as he watched in awe at Wolffe laughing to yourself as he was absolutely blowed away.
“How did you learn to do that?” He questioned looking to his older brother.
“You pick up a few things” Wolffe said bluntly not letting his concentration waved
Now Sinker was up observing as well. Wolfee gently tapped your shoulder and held in palm out towards you. You quickly put an elastic in his hand as he secured the bottom of the braid.
He already started the other side as you said. “You’ll definitely have to teach me a second time.”
You heard the small laugh that escaped his lips. A sound to any other person outside of the Wolffe Pack would mistake as maybe a sigh or small cough was, to you a sound you wanted to hear your dear commander make more of.
“Of course sir.”
His hands swiftly made its was to the back of your head and down brushing past your shoulders. Another rap at your shoulder another elastic was presented to the solider sat behind you.
He patted the top of your head before announcing, “Done” as the four of you stood up.
“Looking good sir.” Boost praised looking at the top of your head.
You made your way towards a mirror hanging on the wall. You smiled at your reflection, your hair did look amazing buts that’s not why you were smiling. The giddy faces of Sinker and Boost stared back at you and the sly smile of Commander Wolffe caught yours in the mirror.
You turned swiftly looking up. “Thank you Wolffe I love it.”
“Of course commander.” He leaned in then added “I wouldn’t be a very good ori’vod if I couldn’t braid hair as good as I could shoot a blaster.”
You laughed at his comment reaching up to swing your arm around his shoulder, walking to join some others that still lounged in the barracks waitingfor the ship to touch down once again.

pairing: Gn!reader x Marc spector, Gn!reader x Steven Grant, & Gn!Redaer x Jake Lockely
Warnings: none. (other than me using google english to spanish. Pls if you found a better website, PLS TELL. pls dont gatekeep. ) Fluff(?) also bad grammar???
Part 2
You stared at the 2 outfits you had rested on your bed, you couldn't pick between the slightly slutty one or the one that had more decency. You knew you were going to be slightly fucked up by the end of the night, so did you want to do it in a slutty way or sexy way? You still didn't know. You decided that you were going to play some music to get you in that partying mood. The music rang in your ears and your next door neighbor's.
Marc was laying in his bed finally being able to sleep after being up since 2 am the day before. Khonsu had been making Marc, Jake and Steven do his unforgiving bidding, all three of them were exhausted from all the trouble they had been in. Just when they thought they could get a break, they heard their neighbor's music.
"Jesús puto cristo," Jake spoke as the weak and exhausted body jolked up.
"Bloody hell. I think the universe just hates us, yeah?" Steven said as he took over the hands and rubbed their eyes.
"I don't think they know the walls are kinda thin," Marc mumbles out tryin to excuse their actions. Jake started saying that they could just go next door and warn them but Marc and steven felt way too tired to do so. And after they responded to Jake's proposal the music died down.
"See, I think they're done," Steven said as he takes over and lays back down and closes their eyes. Oh it was painful how wrong he was. They got 10 minutes of sleep before hearing the music even louder this time.
You weren't doing this on purpose, you didn't even know that you had a next door neighbor. You and the boys never crossed paths, and they were never loud so you had thought maybe you could blast music with no interruptions. Though you were about to be proved so wrong. That's when you heard a knock. You were confused, " I thought I told them I'll meet them at f/n's house," You said as you pressed paused on your phone. You smoothed your skirt/pants one last time before opening up your door.
"Hello," The man said as he waved at you. You waved back as you noticed that he was in his slightly rinkled Pjs. Steven did that same to you and lawd have mercy on him, you were so fucking fine.
His eyes rack over your frame, you had your hair pulled back, plum lips with beautiful jewelry hung around your neck, and gods your clothes looked fucking hot on you. Steven felt all the air in lungs leave and so quickly that his chest started to ache. Marc and Jake were the first time in history very quiet in a long time. There were no remarks on how they were sleepy and this to be over, they were only in awe of your form.
"I'm sorry, is there something I could help you with?' You asked as you tilted your head in question. For the first time Marc, Steven and Jake had gotten this nervous about someone. They all knew that steven had to stay in control but it felt like they were going slightly override.
"A-ah! yes the music... the music is too loud," Steven softly said. Then it finally hit you, he was trying to sleep and your music was too loud. He's your next door neighbor! Guilt started to flow through your veins, how could you keep a tired man from sleeping, reader???
"Oh! Im so sorry! I didn't know that I had a next door neighbor! I'm so sorry for keeping you awake! Yes! I'll keep the music down!" You rambled. The boys thought it was very cute. Now all three of them were wondering how they could get your number without making it sound cringey nor weird.
"Again, I'm so sorry for keeping you awake.." You paused waiting for a name. You wanted the name of your cute neighbor you had no idea about.
"Steven Grant," Steven stammered out. He started to fidget with the hem of his shirt.
"Steven Grant," You repeated, "I really like that name." Steven smiled widely and Jake remined him that he was still fucking tired. Don't get him wrong he liked 'speaking with you' but their mission was not only nerve racking but exhausting. Steven started to feel the sleepiness weigh his bones down. He'll have to settle for just speaking to you. Marc told him to tell you thank you and good night.
"Thank you... well I should head to bed, have a nice night," He promptly said before you replied with a good night back. He went back to their flat while they talked about how to get your number next time. All three of them wanted that to be very soon. Now they all started to feel a little grateful for the loud music you played. And all in that moment they remembered that they don't even know your name...

A Forever Promise Pt. 2
Photos are not mine. They are courtesy of Pinterest/Google
Pairing: Billy Russo x F! Reader
Warnings: Just like in real life, Ginger drops a few F-bombs, fluffy bunnies and unicorns, this is just a fun time, couple other swear words.
Word Count: 5.8k-ish
Summary: Part 2 of 2. Read part one HERE After a short trip to Albany for your Jack and Jill party, it’s time for Billy and the reader to finally get married!
A/N: There’s some music in this one that I’ll link at the end, I don’t want to give away Ginger’s “surprise.” I had a bit of a time trying to figure out what to put in, what to leave out (we’ve all been to a wedding, we know what goes on) but I really like how this came out, I hope you do too!
As always, thank you for reading! I appreciate it so much and comments, reblogs are welcome and encouraged. Don’t be shy to tell me your favorite part. 💕💕 💕
Thankfully, since it didn’t take too long to find Billy, the three of you got back in plenty of time to get ready for the wedding. Billy let you and the girls have the apartment to yourselves to get ready at while he, Frank, and the other groomsmen hung out at Frank’s house for awhile.
The hair stylists and makeup artists had already started working on the girls when you came home so you changed into your “Bride” dressing robe and joined them.
Your breakfast order had been delivered, the dining room table was filled with fresh fruit, croissants, different flavored mimosas, and mini quiches. After the morning you had, it felt good to eat and relax with your friends while getting ready.
“Everything’s ok? We don’t have a runaway groom situation, do we? I’ll tackle his ass and drag him to the venue if you need me to.” Lily joked.
The rest of you started to laugh.
“You don’t have to do that, even though the visual is hilarious. Everything’s ok.” You said shyly.
Maria reached out to touch your hand. “Y/n, Frank and I have known Billy a long time and we’ve never seen him this happy, he loves you so much. You two are going to be so happy together. Besides, Frank already told Billy that he can’t sleep on our couch if he messes up.”
She squeezed your hand, Lily and Ginger put their hands on top of Maria’s and everyone started to chuckle.
Ginger broke the silence. “Alright, let’s finish getting beautiful so we can go check out the venue. I’m dyin’ to see what they’ve done inside!” She said excitedly.
The wedding venue you and Billy ended up choosing was a place called The Green Building in Brooklyn. It was obvious why it was called the Green Building and looking at the outside it wasn’t very impressive but the inside was exactly what you wanted.
It was small, with high ceilings and chandeliers—a beautiful combination of elegant and rustic, complete with strings of white fairy lights, brick walls, and greenery hung from the ceiling.
As soon as you stepped inside the building, you were in love with it. Billy never took his eyes off of you as your gaze wandered around the room and up the walls, a smile stretched across your face from ear to ear.
Your eyes stopping on the chandeliers that hung from the very high ceilings and windows that went from the floor to the top of the wall and were covered in simple but sophisticated curtains. It was stunning yet cozy.
Before you could even open your mouth, Billy had told the wedding planner “We’ll take it.” And as the two of you stood there in the middle of that room, holding onto each other, Billy kissed the top of your head and asked you “You like it, sweet girl?” You pulled away to snake your hands around his neck and pulled him in for a gentle kiss. “I love it, Billy. And I love you, thank you.”
He just smiled his perfect smile and softly touched his lips to yours. “I love you too, beautiful.”
Ginger was the first one through the door, her garment bag held high above her head with her eyes roaming around the room. She quickly found a chair to drape her bag over and could not stop staring.
You had asked for extra fairy lights and ivy to decorate the ceiling and walls all around the room, two groups of dark colored chairs were set up on either side of a makeshift aisle, facing a window where you and Billy will exchange your wedding vows, half of the tables were set up on the other side of the room and the other half would be set up as soon as the ceremony was over.
“Holy shit! Look at this place!” Ginger shouted. “It’s gorgeous! And am I the last one to know about you having a cannoli truck outside?!”
“I swear I thought I told you about that.” You said with a slight chuckle. “Billy wanted it and I wasn’t gonna say no when he asked.”
You felt your phone vibrating in your purse. Pulling it out, you looked at the screen to see Billy’s handsome face smiling at you. Was it bad luck to talk to the groom before the wedding? You didn’t think that was the superstition so you quickly answered the phone.
“Well hello there, handsome.” You said with a slight smile on your face.
“Hello my love. Are you at the venue yet?” He asked.
Ginger took your garment bag from your other hand and headed upstairs.
“Yeah, we just got here a few minutes ago. Billy, wait ‘til you see it, it’s…so beautiful.” You said, looking around the room, taken aback by how beautiful it really was.
“I don’t doubt that it is, y/n. We’ll be there soon, I just wanted to make sure you were out of sight so I don’t see you before the wedding.” Billy said, almost at a whisper.
“We already saw each other this morning, Billy.” You joked.
You could feel him smiling on the other end of the phone.
“Yeah but that didn’t count.” He told you.
His response made you smile.
“Ok, well let me head upstairs so you don’t see me before it’s time. I’ll see you soon, my love.”
He stopped you from hanging up.
“Wait, y/n?” He said, his voice cracking a bit.
You put the phone back to your ear.
“Yes Billy?” You questioned.
There was a moment of silence waiting for him to speak again.
“Thank you.” He said.
Confused, you asked him. “For what, baby?”
This was one of those times Billy had a hard time getting his words out, he knew what he wanted to say, but it was just difficult for him to get it all out.
“Just…for…” He went silent again for a minute. “Saying yes.”
His words, the tone of his voice, the smile that you could tell was stretched wide across his handsome face—they all made your heart soar, you felt complete. You’ve never known anyone like Billy, so strong, determined, and hardworking.
He was also the most stubborn and frustrating man you’ve ever met but no one has ever shown you more love than he has. You never questioned his love for you and knew he would love and protect you until the day he died. No one else had his heart.
“I love you, Billy.” You said with a hitch in your voice.
“I love you too, baby.” He replied and you both hung up.
**********
While you were upstairs putting the finishing touches on your makeup and hair, Billy and the other groomsmen walked into the venue, the sun was starting to go down and the room was becoming dimmer by the minute.
He took notice of the framed chalkboard resting on a wooden easel, dark red roses decorated the top of the frame. Billy chuckled to himself as he read what was written on the chalkboard “To Have and To Hold...In Case You Get Cold.”
Underneath the chalkboard were baskets of rolled up fleece blankets. The owner of the Green Building did say it could get chilly inside so if guests wanted to take a blanket for the ceremony, they were more than welcome to.
He stared at the fairy lights glowing in the soft light of the main room, and you were right. It did look really beautiful in here. The vision you had for the room had come to life and that really made him happy.
He remembered the night of your birthday party, he remembered how hard you worked to put everything together, from the centerpieces, to the food, and the desserts and you had done the same thing leading up to tonight. Billy helped a little but he wanted it to be your vision, your day, and he couldn’t wait to say “I do.”
Simple bouquets of black Baccara roses and black calla lilies decorated the center of each table, they matched your bouquet while the bridesmaid’s bouquets were a combination of black Baccara roses and mauve roses.
As it started to get closer and closer to 5 o’clock, you felt more nervous and wondered if Billy felt the same way, everyone going in and out of the room making sure everything was in its place, Ginger talking about the “surprise” she has for you and Billy from the entire wedding party, it was almost a little too overwhelming for you and you needed a moment.
You needed…a cannoli.
So you slipped on your coat and made your way downstairs and outside without anyone noticing, Ginger would kill you if she knew you were going outside in your dress but you needed some fresh air.
The icy January air pricked your lungs as you took a deep breath but it just felt good to be outside where you didn’t feel like you were suffocating. You could hear the commotion of your wedding guests out front, making their way inside to take their seats. The ceremony was supposed to start in 15 minutes.
The cold air pierced your skin and goosebumps erupted everywhere but it felt amazing to be out there, alone, in the quiet, the stress of the past few months started to roll away with one deep breath. A smile played across your face after letting out a long exhale, it smelled like it was going to snow.
The owner of the cannoli truck asked what you were doing out there. You told him you just needed a minute…and a cannoli if he had one to spare.
“Anything for the bride.” He said with a warm smile.
As soon as you took a bite, you heard a soft velvet toned voice behind you.
“It smells like it’s gonna snow.” He said.
You knew that voice anywhere…Billy.
“Turn around, my love. Let me look at you.” He said.
Surprised that he actually wanted to see you, you started to say “But Billy…”
He interrupted you. “I think we’re past any superstitious bullshit, baby. Besides, you have your coat on, I won’t see the entire dress yet. Please? I have my coat on too so you don’t get to see my tie just yet.” He said. You could tell he was smiling as he said it which made you feel warm and content.
Even not being able to see his whole tuxedo, Billy looked incredibly handsome. He always did but there was something else behind those dark intense eyes of his, something different. It was something that looked like…relief. It was probably the happiest you’ve ever seen him and he couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
He was practically speechless. “Oh my god…look at…look at you.” He said. “You look…perfect.”
“Oh…this ol’ thing?” You pulled slightly on the side of your dress and did a half turn.
Billy moved closer to you, he wanted to touch you but it was almost like he was scared to, like he might break you or get your dress dirty so he grabbed your free hand instead. He gently pulled your hand up to meet his lips and he softly kissed the back of it.
“You look beautiful, my love. Now gimme a bite of that thing, that’s why I came out here too.” He said with a slight laugh.
You laughed a little also, the man always knew how to make you smile.
Billy took a bite of the cannoli and asked “I know this isn’t the only reason why you came out here though, sweet girl. Are you ok?”
You WERE ok, you just needed some fresh air and a minute to compose yourself. Your wedding was going to start in ten minutes so you knew it was just nerves.
“I’m just a little nervous, Billy. That’s all. It was hot inside and I needed some air.” You told him.
“Y/n, I know it’s not gonna be easy but I am so happy I finally met the person that I want to wake up next to every moring. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.” He said.
Tears stung the back of your eyes and you tried your best to not let them fall, you didn’t want to ruin your makeup before your wedding.
“I love you.” You said with a hitch in your voice.
He smiled a slightly wicked smile at you and said “I love you too, baby.”
Billy leaned in closer, as your lips were just about to touch his, a loud voice boomed from the doorway.
“FREEZE, RUSSO!!!”
It was Ginger.
“Put those lips away until the ceremony is over!” She roared.
Billy stopped, his lips were so close to yours that you were sharing the same breath but he pulled back and gave you a little wink.
Ginger walked toward the two of you, shaking her finger to scold the both of you for seeing each other before the ceremony.
“I’ve been lookin’ everywhere for you, y/n!! And you’ve been out here this entire time, eating a cannoli without me?!! And here I thought we were best friends.” She joked.
You couldn’t help but laugh a little. “Ginger, I just needed some fresh air, it was getting really hot inside and I wanted one, they’re really good.”
The last person you wanted to make mad was Ginger, even though it was all in good fun.
“Alright soldier, get inside. You were NOT supposed to see her yet! Also, your groomsmen have been looking for you too, you really are light on your feet, just slipped out without anyone noticing.” She scolded with her arms flailing.
Billy nodded again. “Yes ma’am.” He kissed your forehead and headed back inside, taking the rest of the cannoli with him before you could protest.
“And you!” Ginger pointed her finger at you. “Ceremony starts in five minutes, get inside! It’s fuckin’ freezing out here! Who the fuck gets married in January anyway?!”
You laughed again. “You’re not sweating though, are you?” You said sarcastically.
“Look who’s all full of jokes today. Let’s go get you married.” And she grabbed you by the arm, pulled you toward the door and almost dragged you back up the stairs to wait for the ceremony to begin.
Standing at the top of the stairs, you looked out to see family and friends sitting in their seats. They were smiling and talking with each other,
Billy and his groomsmen standing all in a row waiting, and Frank patting Billy on the shoulder. The smiles on their faces beamed from across the room as they waited patiently for you and your bridesmaids to walk down the aisle.
Traditional really wasn’t your style so you chose the song Clair de Lune for your bridesmaids to walk to. With the lights dimmed and the fairy lights glowing brightly, one by one they slowly made their way to stand across from their groomsmen counterparts before it was your turn.
Making sure your father didn’t jump the gun, you told him to hang back until that song stopped and yours began, you chose Best Part by Ben Barnes.
You're my coffee that I need in the morning
You're the sunshine in the rain when it's falling
Won't you give yourself to me?
Give it all
I just wanna see
I just wanna see how beautiful you are
You know I can see it
I know you're a star
Where you go I follow
No matter how far
If life is a movie then you're the best part
Mmh-mmh-mmh-mmh-mmh
You're the best part
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Best part
As soon as the song started, everyone stood and turned to watch you walk down the aisle. Every single pair of eyes focused on you but your eyes were directed at the man at the other end. Billy stared back at you, biting down on his lower lip, trying to contain his smile but failing miserably.
Your smile matched his as you continued to stare at him through the birdcage veil that lightly touched your face and tickled the tip of your nose. You blocked out all of the other surrounding noises, even the officiant’s voice when they asked “Who brings this woman to be married to this man?”
“I do.” Your father answered, kissed you on the cheek, shook Billy’s hand and gave you away to your future husband who took both of your hands in his, they were warm, and his callouses brushed against your slightly trembling fingers.
He swept small circles on the back of your hands with his thumbs to soothe you and gave you a little wink, silently telling you “It’s ok baby, I’ve got you.”
After welcoming everyone and saying a few words, the officiant turned it over to you and Billy to say your vows which you wrote for each other. You told Billy months ago that he didn’t have to, that the two of you could just repeat what the officiant says but he surprised you and told you he wanted to write his own. He always had a hard time expressing how he felt, that’s why it was such a shock to you that he wanted to do this, but maybe this was his way of working on that.
He went first.
“Y/n, my love. I never thought a birthday party would change my life for the better but it did. And I’ve never been so thankful that you chased me down the street to save me from my own stubbornness. Sharing my life with someone hadn’t even crossed my mind until I locked eyes with you. I can’t promise life with me will be perfect, actually I know it won’t be, but I will promise to always open all of the jars that are too tight, I will kill any spider that crosses your path, I will watch every Friends re-run with you because I love to hear you laugh, and I will love you with my whole heart for the rest of my life. My life is worth living because I have you, my sweet girl. I love you.”
You don’t know that you’ve ever been more proud of Billy than you were right at that moment. He had a hard enough time expressing how he felt to you, but for him to spill his heart out for everyone to hear made you weak in the knees, it made your heart swell, and your eyes welled up with tears. And you weren’t the only one who had tears in their eyes. A quick glance to the front row and your parents, your grandmother wiped away their tears. Behind you, Ginger and the other bridesmaids dabbed tissues under their eyes.
How were you supposed to follow that? Well, you were going to try.
“Billy, I questioned myself so many times about inviting my boss to my birthday party. If I’m being honest, at first I was hoping you wouldn’t come. I thought seeing you outside of work would make it very difficult to stay away from you, but I guess the universe had a plan. The truth is, no one gives me butterflies in my stomach the way you do, no one else gives me goosebumps when they just hold my hand, no one else’s texts make me smile from ear to ear even before reading them.”
Ginger interrupted. “Hey!”
Everyone chuckled.
“Yours do too, Ginger.” You said turning to look at her with a little laugh.
She nodded and replied with “Yeah I thought so, carry on.”
You continued.
“And Billy, I’ve never felt as loved as I do when I’m with you. So, I promise to always ask how your day was, to always have chocolate stashed somewhere in the house, and I will try my hardest to make you smile every single day because I love seeing your smile, my love.”
Billy could hardly contain his smile and you swear he was blushing.
After the exchange of rings, your officiant said. “William and y/n, you have expressed your love to one another through the commitment and promises you have just made. It is with these in mind that I pronounce you husband…and wife. You may kiss your bride!”
Billy’s long slender fingers gently reached for both sides of the short veil that touched the tops of your cheeks and moved it away from your face. He cupped your face, leaned forward and softly touched his lips to yours, being so careful not to mess up your makeup.
After months of planning and years of waiting for your perfect match, you were now Mrs. William Russo.
Now…it was time to party.
Ginger made her typical Ginger entrance when she and Frank were announced as Maid of Honor and Best Man. She danced her way through the crowd of people, dragging a grumpy faced Frank behind her like a rag doll. After everyone in the wedding party was announced, the DJ turned his attention to you and Billy.
"It is my great honor and privilege to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs. William Russo! Let's welcome them as newlyweds with a round of applause!"
Everyone stood up to give the two of you an ovation, whistles came from all directions, and all eyes were on you and Billy for your first dance as a married couple.
“The happy couple will now share their first dance as husband and wife.” The DJ said.
You chose Ballerina by Jeremy Shada for your first dance.
Blue-eyed ballerina
God only knows how much I need ya
From day one, I knew you were the one
Gimme your hand, and I'll give you mine
You're the reason I look forward to coming home at night
Billy pulled your body so it was flush with his, you grasped your hands around his neck as the song started to play, and he softly kissed your forehead, then kissed you on the lips.
“How does it feel to have a husband, sweet girl?” Billy asked.
You just smiled and kissed him back. “So far, so good handsome. How do you like having a wife?”
What's the point of sleep if it's not with you?
Your lipstick on my cheek looking like a tattoo
My ballerina, sway me side to side
All I need is a little love and care tonight
“I’ll let ya know tomorrow.” He joked.
“Billy Russo!” You playfully slapped his shoulder.
“I’m just teasin’, baby. So far, so good.” He said with a sly smile and a wink.
God is an artist
He put you on display
A masterpiece in motion, more beautiful every day
Gimme your love, and I'll give you mine
You're the reason I tell my friends I'm busy tonight
“You ready for the spin?” He asked.
You were all smiles. “Ready.”
In one quick motion, Billy spun you out, the bottom of your dress twirled as he spun you back towards him, followed by a dip and a kiss. It took you by surprise but it also made you smile, it was hard not to smile.
What's the point of sleep if it's not with you?
Your lipstick on my cheek looking like a tattoo
My ballerina, sway me side to side
All I need is a little love and care tonight
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Woah-ooh, oh-oh-oh, mmm-mmm-mmm
The world is your stage wherever you go
You know I'll always be right in the front row
Your love is a movie, my favorite show
You're my silver screen queen
My Marilyn Monroe
“You look so beautiful, my love. Your dress is amazing.” He said as he bit down on his lower lip, not taking his eyes off of you.
Now that you were a little more relaxed, you took a closer look at Billy’s tie, it was black with tiny white polka dots and skulls on it.
“Thank you, baby and I love your tie. You look so handsome.” You said.
What's the point of sleep if it's not with you?
Your lipstick on my cheek looking like a tattoo
My ballerina, sway me side to side
All I need is a little love and care tonight
Blue-eyed ballerina
God only knows how much I need ya
From day one, I knew you were the one
“Well…I picked it out just for you. I thought you’d like it.” He said.
Your fingers danced across the tie, the raised embroidered skulls were the perfect addition to his suit. “I love it, baby.” You said.
As the song came to an end, Billy drew your hand up to meet his lips and kissed the top of your hand, causing warmth to rise to your cheeks and a flutter in your stomach like it was the first time he’s ever put his lips on you. Staring at his handsome face, he looked at you like you hung the stars in the sky and he pulled you into a tight embrace like he never wanted to let you go.
Suddenly, the wedding party and the Castle children walked out on to the dance floor. Maria pulled Frank by his suit jacket, he had a terrified look on his face like he couldn’t believe what he was about to do and looked at Ginger with complete disdain for making him do it.
Ginger took the DJ’s microphone right out of his hand.
“Billy…y/n…this is our gift to you, but it’s mostly from me because it was my idea…Ok, hit it!”
Two chairs appeared out of nowhere behind you so the two of you could sit down and watch.
You turned to Billy. “What’s going on?”
“I dunno but Frankie looks like he’s gonna die of embarrassment.” Billy chuckled.
Then the song started to play and a wide smile stretched across both of your faces.
Everybody, yeah
Rock your body, yeah
Everybody, yeah
Rock your body right
Backstreet's back, alright
You covered your open mouth with your hands and Billy closed his eyes and shook his head. You both were in disbelief as to what was happening in front of you, your entire wedding party dancing in unison to the Backstreet Boys.
“So this is what Frankie meant by he has to ‘practice’ for the wedding!” Billy exclaimed, leaning into your ear.
Am I original?
Yeah
Am I the only one?
Yeah
Am I sexual?
Yeah
Am I everything you need?
You better rock your body now
Everybody
Yeah
Rock your body
Yeah
Everybody
Rock your body right
Backstreet's back, alright
Alright
The reception had barely begun and you were already having the time of your life, laughing and dancing in your chair.
So everybody everywhere
Don't be afraid, don't have no fear
I'm gonna tell the world
Make you understand
As long as there'll be music
We'll be comin' back, again
You couldn’t sit still any longer, you stood up and asked Billy to attach the train of your dress to the buttons on your backside so you wouldn’t trip on it. Kicking off your shoes, you ran out onto the dance floor to join them for the last chorus. You could do this dance in your sleep.
Everybody
Yeah
Rock your body
Yeah
Everybody
Rock your body right (rock your body right)
Backstreet's back
Everybody (rock your body)
Yeah (rock your body)
Rock your body (rock your body)
Yeah (everybody rock your body)
Everybody (rock your body)
Rock your body right (rock your body, everybody)
Backstreet's back, alright
You and Billy exchanged hugs and laughs with everyone in the wedding party after the song ended. Ginger DID say she had a surprise, and part of that surprise apparently involved embarrassing Frank but he took it like a champ and actually looked like he was having a good time doing it too.
“Thank you, Frank…I know Ginger can be a bit much at times.” You said.
Frank had a smirk on his face. “Anything for you, sweetheart. That’s actually how Ginger got me to agree to do this…she wore me down, more like bullied me. She said that because you made my best friend the happiest I’ve ever seen him, I owed it to you. Even if it meant me dancing like a puppet out here.”
Billy slid in next to you to give Frank a hug. “You look good out there, Frankie. Ya ever think about switching your career path? I’ll write your resignation letter right now, if you want.”
Frank playfully punched Billy in the arm as Lisa and Frank Jr. ran up to hug their father.
You narrowed your eyes teasingly at the kids.
“The two of you knew about this too, huh?” You asked.
Lisa had a big smile on her face when she asked. “Were you surprised, Auntie?”
She called you “auntie.” The sound of that made your heart burst.
“Yeah, were you surprised?!!” Junior asked.
You pulled the kids in for a hug. “I was VERY surprised and you two did such a great job! Thank you!”
“How did we do, Uncle Billy?” Lisa asked.
“Better than your dad, that’s for sure!” He said, trying to contain his laughter.
The kids gave their uncle a hug and took off running. They looked like they were heading for the appetizer tables.
Billy looked down at you and smiled. “They love you.”
“Well I’m glad they do because I love them. Come on, handsome. I think the kids have the right idea, let’s get something to eat. I’m starving.” You said.
Dinner, speeches, and cake…all kind of ran together in a blur. Ginger bet Frank that her maid of honor speech would get a better reaction than his best man speech. She was right although Frank said she cheated because she was funny AND pulled at people’s heartstrings which made everyone tear up. He ended up owing her twenty bucks.
After walking around and saying hello to all of your guests, it was time to dance. Everyone seemed like they were having such a good time enjoying the music and the dessert truck outside. Seeing everyone’s smiling faces meant that all the planning and hard work that had consumed you for the past year had paid off. It was all completely worth it. There was only one thing that could make this wedding even more perfect.
Billy approached you while you were talking to some friends.
“Come with me, sweet girl.” He said and he held out his hand for you to take it.
Confused, you put your hand in his and asked. “Where are we going, Billy?”
“Just outside, I wanna show you something.” He said with a smirk.
He led you toward the door that led to the alley where the cannoli truck was parked.
“Baby, I can’t eat another cannoli, I am so—“ You stopped mid-sentence and gasped at the sight in front of you. Through the dimly lit string lights, little white flakes fluttered to the ground all around you. Your wish had come true…it was snowing.
“I told you it smelled like snow.” He said as he pulled you close against his chest and gave you a quick kiss.
“Yeah, well I did teach you that trick, my love. I can’t believe it’s snowing! Our wedding day is perfect.” You said, clasping your hands around his neck and pulling him in for another kiss.
Ginger walked out into the snow.
“Ya know, I come out here for dessert and this is what I find? The two of you being disgustingly adorable and SNOW?!!! Seriously y/n, who gets married in January?!!” She exclaimed.
As the night came to a close, Billy held you close, your head resting against his chest, swaying back and forth to the last song of the evening while everyone else smiled and watched. It felt like you were the only two people left in world, your wedding day was almost over but you would have the rest of your lives to look back and reminisce about today.
Although it didn’t start out that way, your day ended up being perfect and you couldn’t have done it without the help of your family and friends. Thinking about everything they did for you leading up to today, really showed how much they love you and they’ve waited so long for you to be this happy.
Even after the song ended, the two of you just held each other and moved to the imaginary music, all of the extra noise around you was muted, and you didn’t hear anything except the beating of Billy’s heart synched with your own. His light touches up and down your back were so soothing and comforting. You felt safe and you knew, as long as you were in his arms, you always would be.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Frank and Ginger on the edge of the dance floor watching you and Billy dance.
She put her arm around Frank and said “Well buddy, we did it. Our babies are all grown up and married now. What if they don’t need us anymore?!!” She wiped away fake tears.
Frank couldn’t help but grin. “We did good, kid. Look at how happy they are.”
A devilish grin stretched across Ginger’s face.
“Soooooo, Billy hired a private plane to take them on their honeymoon, right?” She asked.
Frank looked at her somewhat confused. “Yeah? Why?” He asked.
“And they’re leaving at what time tomorrow?” Asked Ginger.
Frank furrowed his brow. “09:00. What are you getting at, Ginger?”
Ginger slowly turned to face Frank, still with that wicked smile on her face. “Wanna crash their honeymoon?”
“Ginger, that’s their private time. That’s time they’re supposed to spend together, just the two of them!” He paused and he smiled a devilish smirk of his own. “But I could really use a vacation.”
“You don’t hate the idea though, do ya.” She nudged Frank’s arm. “Huh? We would all have SO much fun, don’t ya think?”
“Alright, be outside their apartment at 07:00, that’s when Bill says they’re leaving for the airport. He can’t say no to the kids when they make their puppy faces.” Frank firmly said, pointing his finger at her.
“YES!!!” Ginger said excitedly and sealed their deal with a fist bump.
With Frank and Ginger staring at you with evil grins on their faces, you pointed at them and said to Billy. “I don’t know that I like the looks of all that.”
“Yeah…I don’t know that I do either.” Billy said, narrowing his eyes and shaking his head.
So you asked them. “What are you two smiling about?”
With another fist bump, they both answered in unison and shook their heads.
“Nothin’.”
