A couple of days ago I went to my grandpa's house and there at one point came out a discussion about how important it was to know our dialect and how beautiful it was, then he started quizzing me about what some words meant and I was absolutely left confused because I did not know what any of those words meant, my mom did and kinda upset I never learned my dialect in a meaningful way

#like yeah i can speak most of it but some words truly were left behind to die i don't have an entire vocabulary on how to say certain words #honestly results of making italian the default language and not preserving regional languages as they should have #but also i never really truly got the interest in wanting to speak it because i used to consider myself not like the other neapolitans™️#oh no i'm not like the other neapolitans i can speak italian which is :/#raine speaks
