I named my two negative self voices The Troll and The Conspiracy Theorist and when either one starts going off on some bullshit I yell MODS PLS DO YOUR JOBS GET THAT BULLSHIT OUT OF HERE! into the internal voice chat room and they do!!

None of the "imagine the bad voice person getting further and further away until you can't hear them" or "imagine them shrinking until small enough for you to put them in a bottle" or "imagine turning down their volume until you can't hear them" type advice has ever worked for me because they just kept, immediately reasserting themselves at full volume. But I sure can yell at them that they're wrong until they go away!

some of y'all need to stop seeing self deprecation as a funny joke and start looking at it for what it is. you are being so fucking cruel to a member of our community. and they don't deserve your cruelty. I love all of you so much and it sucks to watch you gleefully shittalk someone I care about then excuse it by going "but it's okay, I can say that, it's about myself!"

I feel like a lot of people use the "hey don't be mean to my friend [name] >:(" in a joking manner but. no. seriously. stop shittalking my friend. it sucks to hear you talk about anybody like that, ESPECIALLY a community member. you don't get a free pass for directing it at yourself.
