ngl i dont like complaining but i’m a bit upset about how quickly we jumped over from tory’s mom dying to… keenry relationship drama. im seriously peeved about how many people are boiling tory and robby’s characters down to being romantic partners, and i don’t think the writers understand how leaning so heavily on keenry weakens both the individual journeys robby and tory go on — robby with his father/role as miyagi do’s captain/brotherhood with miguel/running in 2nd place, and tory with her mother/role as ck’s captain/relationship with kreese/betrayal of her friends. they CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT be each other’s personal saviors; they HAVE TO SAVE THEMSELVES.

#cobra kai #ck negativity #to compare them to samiguel — both of whom seperate in a very mature manner after having gone thru a parental tragedy/sudden dojo drama #they need time apart to undergo their individual development. and on that note #the reason s5 samiguel works is because sam gives herself that room to work on her identity crisis. and miguel learns to accept #his unconventional family and his new life post-2018 all valley. not as a champion but as a boy #writers did that stupid fucking pair the spare shit and slapped robby and tory closer together after breaking them up in s5 😐#which is why i’ll always maintain that keenry only works in the context of a trauma bond a la their time at cobra kai!#sighh. ive got opinions about keenry tonight.#and if the entirety of s6p2 is keenry???…… hhrgrgrh.
