I do have complicated feelings about what's happening to the guy right now, but I do also find it a little bit funny that I started a parasocial nemesis-ship with james so/merton (it's not a good look for me, you should only lend space in your head for youtubers you do actually like) because his video essays had so many factual errors and it always seemed like he had no idea of what he was talking about... and thanks to hbomb's video, it turns out it appeared that way because he really didn't know what he was talking about. They were not his words.

#hbomberguy #i can't believe he spread the gay nazis thing around like that.. if he knew anything about lgbt history he would have thought it through #that being said i genuinely hope he will be okay. i mean he will probably be okay financially #but he has certainly lost his youtube career. i can't see anyone bouncing back after a thing like this.#his entire career was built on plagiarizing and that's not something people should tolerate on a platform like that #but it must be hard to lose your entire career in a day. he absolutely should lose that career but it sounds incredibly scary.#i hope he understands the damage he has done and if he is able i hope he takes steps in repairing that in some way
