one of these days Im going to find the energy to type up every single Lost allusion Yellowjackets has made (up to four MASSIVE ones per episode, looking at you 2x6) because I don't see anyone else doing it on here and like. This show does not exist without Lost. These showrunners are writing a love letter to Lost.

#I suspect even people who liked Lost but didn't imprint on it as Youth(TM) are not catching the volume of references #Yellowjackets is CELEBRATING Lost #Lost fundamentally changed the TV game in so many ways and it has SUCH a bad rap now #so Yellowjackets just lovingly constantly referencing it???#not just snagging the premise and filing off the serial numbers and trying to hide it???#it makes me unwell #and yes I know the showrunners have said they want to avoid some of Lost's mistakes #but that is NOT the same thing as bitter fix-it fic and the proof is in the never ending allusions #yellowjackets #abc lost #hey lost fans if you're in the lost tag seeing this yellowjackets will make you feel untethered from reality
