This got reboggled for the first time in ages (thank you) so I'm gonna add:

There are a lot of parallels between early seasons SPN and late-stage SPN that I think have to be completely accidental (I just rewatched Faith and boy is THAT something in light of all the later Chuck/angels/Cas story). But I'm 99.99999996% sure this isn't one of them.

If you're bringing back a character for the first time in 13 years, wouldn't ANY writer watch her one previous episode first?

SPN 1.9, Missouri meeting Sam for the first time: Oh, honey, I'm sorry about your girlfriend.

SPN 13.3, Missouri meeting Dean for the first time in twelve years: Oh, honey, I'm sorry for your losses.

And we're supposed to think Cas is NOT the love of Dean's life?
