hrmm Not Good. i think they definitely have a very different image of him in their heads from how he actually is, and instead of actually paying any attention to him and getting to know him, they blame him and get all sad and mopey about it like "this isnt like you :( you can do so much better :(" etc etc and its part of what drives him to such extremes in rebelling
