i do think. i do think. even tho shiloh is the one who is bigtime for real suffering from unfortunate bouts of protagonism - n usually i would bet its the one who flip decides 'no i HAVE to be the hero here i Gotta' - i dont think jackass is immune to it. i mean obv shes influenced by their habits but like naturally too i bet shes got a few instances of doing some truly stupid shit bc 'its (gag) the right thing to do.' kicking and screaming the whole way but she would do that kind of thing i believe it i do. zombie setting especially i think bc shes so transient relative to a lot of human settlements she feels like its easier to do good things for the people there bc she wont have to stick around for the results most of the time
#worm ocs#before the fuse i would honestly say she was the more 'normal' n well adjusted person. like possession aside she was just some woman#n i think even if she thinks shiloh trying to be a '''''hero'''''' is dumb bullshit. well shes not totally heartless. mostly.#theyre not great people. but shes a people person she likes it when people are happy. probably makes her feel less disconnected from folks

Seen your layla frost mention - any good dark romance books you would recommend? 👀
oh, absolutely!!! though, fair warning - my ideal dr is a horror/thriller moonlighting as a romance so! def read the warnings.
Little Dove by Layla Frost. Maximo, honestly, is my ideal mmc. cold, collected, cunning, unflappable, with a cruel and sadistic side (but never directed toward the the fmc), and wholly devoted to Juliet on a level that would probably land him in jail irl
Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean (book 1) by Shiloh Sloane
"Southern Gothic Werewolves Fight the Devil" that's it. this is the book for me. Shiloh Sloane is my favourite author. genuinely, truly. i love her writing, i love her characters. i love her for her tiktok bio alone: I write love stories whose trailers would have Ethel Cain music in ‘em. obsessed with her. i stalk her daily on insta and tiktok. but the book: it's more horror erotica than DR, but to be totally honest, this is so far up my alley, it was practically written for me. werewolves, the devil, smut, an INSANE mmc (obsessed, mean, possessive), a strong fmc, and it's set in post WW2 Appalachia. instant fave. when i die, bury me with this book.
Cracked Blue Sky (book 2) by Shiloh Sloane
features a native fmc and i know Shiloh Sloane is white, but how she shapes Howie Black Elk was pretty realistic. i loved how much she reminded me of a few cousins, aunties. love this book!!
Snuff by Bonny Capps
dark horror erotica that you absolutely should heed the warnings to. i loved it. 5*. but it does end up on several dnf lists for being brutal and disgusting. fmc goes to Russia to discover her roots, is taken by the Bratva to feature in their "passion projects" (snuff films!), but the mmc decides he wants her all to himself. if you're queasy about totally irredeemable mmcs (sadistic, vile, possessive, obsessed, cruel), then this probably is not for you, but lucky for me, i'm into that. def on my "i couldn't look my therapist in the eye for a while" collection, though.
Lemonade by Nina Pennacchi. mmc is irredeemable (cruel, vile, obsessed). historical romance (Victorian). also on the collection. Little Mouse by Emily Rose. mafia. age gap. A Stone's Throw by Stevie Sparks. age gap (dad's best friend. Scottish hero. auction. weird rich people doing weird rich people shit. God Of Vengeance by Michelle Heard. age gap. mafia. found family. i re-read the bound series this week and my favourites are Bound by Vengeance (Growl and Cora), Bound by Duty (Dante and Valentina), and Twisted Pride (Remo and Serafina). anything by Lilith Vincent. Brutal Husband is dropping in October and i cannot wait. The Devil's Vice by Mindy Paige. trauma bonding. motorcycle gang. age gap. Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers. revenge (fmc sends mmc to prison and he gets out and comes for her). insane mmc. Spectre by Shiloh Walker. kidnapping. violence. neuro-atypical fmc. Slashed by Thalia Sanchez. fmc wants to become a Final Girl. Slasher!mmc gives her just that.
also, not a romance but if you're into dark books with compelling characters, Break Her by BG Harlen was sooo good!!!! the premise is that a professional rapist is sent to break the fmc and it's such a good psychological thriller. def not for everyone though. A Beautiful Evil by Eris Belmont has no HEA but a very brutal and malicious mml. God's Eye by Ansa Reads is brutal. loved it, dgmw. but it's def not for the faint of heart.

emmylou was ecstatic that miguel seemed to like her gift. just finding him reading it, even if he ended up hating it, was enough to satisfy. she was beaming like she was on stage, guitar in hand and a spotlight on her face, blinding her eyes. with the state of the world, maybe she should be glad there was still something to be happy about. her mother always chided her, telling her daughter not to get her self-esteem from the approval of men, only to turn around and do the exact same thing she warned her daughter against. (fat lot of good it did for either of them.) hopefully, this was a situation where that would be okay, being so happy that he was reading the book that she gifted him. settling next to him, she leaned against the bannister and folded her arms comfortably around her waist.
“a few times before. cary elwes was such a heartthrob to little me—he’s in the movie—so that helped it to stay in mind. all the other girls were into jtt or garth brooks but i was all about the dread pirate roberts!” like most of their conversations, emmylou started off on one topic and then moved onto another without a beat. it was her conversation partner’s responsibility to keep up with her. if they got lost, that was their own fault. in emmy’s opinion, anyway. her volubility was a defined, recognized trait that sometimes got her into trouble, but mostly earned everyone’s ire. she had been a chatterbox all her life and she had grown used to people thinking she was annoying. she was used to people telling her to shut up and then continue on talking anyway, ignoring them. that’s what she liked about miguel—he never made her feel stupid or unwanted. it was kind of like talking to a wall, even if it was impolite to think that. a wall that let her say whatever she wanted and responded if he felt like it, but usually just listened.
a customer once told her about a stinking flower that bloomed once a year for a few days at a time. that it was so special because it gave off a decayed stench and stuck around for a brief amount of time, which made it incredibly rare and a beautiful thing to see, despite the smell. the customer told emmylou about it and she thought it was the opposite. how horrible it would be to only be known for your odor and how short you lived. sighing, emmylou looked down the staircase, unsure why she thought of that customer in that moment, but she thought maybe it had to do with miguel. how he only showed a passion for life in rare glimpses. how he only seemed to light up when bill was around. despite their numerous conversations, she still knew so little about him, and that made her sort of sad. that was why she stuck around, even after he subtly rejected her romantic advances. she wanted to see him bloom.
“well, i don’t want to keep you from readin’, i just wanted to check on ya.” emmy tore her gaze away from the lower level, turning her attention back to miguel. then an idea suddenly popped into her head. “actually, i wanted to see if you were willing to plan somethin’ with me. maybe… i don’t know, a talent show? for the casino? just somethin’ to get our spirits up or, i don’t know, promote unity…” there was a little selfish need to show off her own singing, but maybe it would help lighten the mood. ever since becks let the californians in months ago, tensions were still steadily rising. she feared something bad might happen. “what do you think?”
the problem with miguel was that he didn't know anything. least of all about himself. it was a problem that was only exacerbated by the apocalypse. what he didnt know or did know about who he was before was almost entirely useless now. he dated women before, but usually it ended when he wasn't emotionally available enough to them or he got tired of not being able to figure them out.
he couldn't concentrate on shit as a kid. didn't even know how he'd get into college if he'd made up his mind that was even something he'd wanted to do. he didn't know how to form new bonds outside of his family (now dead) and los lobos (now mostly dead). so he certainly didn't know how he felt about someone like emmylou, who freaked him out when he first met her, if he was honest. and maybe freaked him out more now, but in a different way. in a sort of insidious way where he didn't understand when or how she'd become so important to him and, even more confusing, what that meant.
and people talked. they asked shit. not to him, but he was sure to one another. before some of the women from california talked to him, but they seemed to stop once he and emmylou started hanging around. maybe that was another thing he ought to thank her for. not that there was anything wrong with any of them, but he just didn't want anymore fucking company. repeated conversations. reminiscing. it didn't serve any purpose and, frankly, it just bummed him out.
for someone who seemed so stoic and to himself, miguel was not uncomfortable with touch. probably a holdover from his family. he didn't offer hugs to people or throw his arms around them like bill might, but he didn't bristle at the offer of a hug. when emmy hugged him, he gave her a one-arm-squeeze that was not entirely awkward and might have come off as comforting, his other hand occupied with the paperback.
"yeah, i don't--uh, read that often." the last book he could remember was the outsiders. or maybe it was lord of the flies. some high school book about boys and violence. maybe it was both books, but he really didn't remember reading either. he turned the book over, paperback wrapped around the finger he was using for a bookmark. "nah, i mean there's stuff i probably missed." but that was okay. he turned the book around and tapped the 'now a major motion picture' sticker. "i feel like i knew this was a movie, but i don't really remember. you seen it?" / @someotherdog
#thewolfruns#* EMMYLOU COYNE / narrative .#* EMMYLOU COYNE / thread / miguel .#* NECROPOLIS / verse .#i have NO idea where i was going with the corpse flower part lmao but i wrote it so in the reply it goes#what if becks kills shiloh blake (who was no hero) during the talent show??? omg#also there's one of my vocab words in this reply hehehe can you guess which one it is?

Okay, the chnt fandom REALLY seems to like their death threats. First the victims of J*y, then Shiloh, and now Selveristsaatan. You people are FREAKS. It's like the second you realize you have free will you tell people to kill themselves or you send death threats. ESPECIALLY since Martin is the SWEETEST guy I've ever met! He literally told people to stop harassing him and now he starts getting death threats??? And for what, "lying" about dating someone?? Why do you guys even care? Its VERY telling of what kind of people you are, I fucking hate this fandom and I may as well be back in Sanders Sides or Harry Potter or MY HERO FOR GODS SAKE. For a fandom who should quote, "be mostly adults" you act like children, the 14 y/o freshmen at my highschool are better behaved than you guys

Michael is kind of right about Willow and how she molds herself into what people want to survive. It's why she should've been in therapy years ago. Her mother basically gave her to Shiloh on a silver platter, knowing he was a rapist. She had to give her baby up to protect him from Shiloh, who was also a cult leader. Genuinely, unlike Joss and Trina who are in college and were in high school when she first came on, I believe her first consensual romantic relationship was with Chase. Then she quickly got with Michael and basically became a mother and a wife. And Drew is so creepy and sleazy. He knew she kind of hero worshipped him. Of course, Willow chose to cheat on Michael, but it can still be acknowledged how unhealthy her "relationship" with Drew is. She really needs to be single for awhile and to go to therapy (not just the group therapy she and Michael were briefly in for child loss). She needs to discover who she is and what she wants beyond sexual and romantic relationships.

Baal the rapist. Like a hero from movies and TV series.
Well, first, look at the face of Valaal the demon from a medieval engraving. And now at the architect character from Francis Ford Coppola's latest film, Metropolis.
Do you recognize familiar features? The similarity here is not only external, of course, but also the scenario of life, so to speak, is quite comparable. By the way, this is how the bride Julia draws her then only idol Caesar. More precisely, this is her caricature, which she sent to him.
I don't know if you can see it on the screen, but she drew horns on him. And when she was doing this cartoon, her friend asked her - The Devil?
Here is another Russian series with Milos Bikovic in the leading role, Give Ou. In which the plot of the metropolis is repeated in almost everything. But it is not a matter of plagiarism of course, but simply that the character, and accordingly the twists and turns of his life are the same. Bikovic himself said so in an interview recently - my character in the series Give Show is Valaal. It's just that the emphasis in the series is shifted towards rape. Well, Coppola's film is generally about life. Even the antagonists in the series and the film are very similar. Both in appearance and in characters, and in episodes with them. In the megalopolis it is Caesar's brother, played by Shiloh La Beauf. In Give Show it is Pasha the journalist, played by Nikolai Savostyuk.
In both Coppola's film and the series, the main character faces arrest and rape charges, falsifications by his antagonist, a failed attempt on his life in the form of a gunshot. And the birth of a child with his influential wife. In both cases, he is a star and ultimately a winner. The wife in our series is played by Tostoganova.
So, the Masonic agenda now includes a movie about Baal. Let's turn to Wikipedia to find out what kind of character this is.
Baal worship was popular in Egypt from the late New Kingdom around 1400 BC to its end (1075 BC). Due to the influence of the Aramaeans, who borrowed the Babylonian pronunciation of Bel, the god eventually became known as the Greek Belos, identified with Zeus.
The thunder god. With his wife Astarte, who later became Ishtar.
Baal was essentially associated with the sun and storms, Astaroth with sex and fertility. As gods of nature, fueled by demonic spirits, they claimed to have "evolved" from the primeval watery chaos. The worship of both was both grossly licentious and extremely cruel.
This god was described as a powerful warrior - in numerous surviving images he holds a mace above his head in one hand and a spear in the form of lightning in the other.
Here are some stills from the movie
And go Zeus.
By the way, he was often accused of rape and binges.
Well, and Ishtar-Venus. This is the wife. Zeus is the main Masonic god and idol. And people, in my opinion, essentially worship him to this day.
Perhaps there are some other films about him. Write in the comments, maybe you remember something.

New posepack: Hallway Hero
A request for TheSimmerKay on Instagram - please do check out her story, it’s so beautifully done and was one of the very first accounts to introduce me to Sims storytelling. Also the reason I started storytelling (and learning poses!) myself!
This is a group pose for four Sims - as you can see from TheSimmerKay’s screenshots, it’s intended for a school hallway setting where everyone wants to greet the popular kid (we love Shiloh 😍). BUT I think it would work just as well for friends meeting up on a night out, groomsmen and groom at a wedding, etc. Have fun with it! I just called it Hallway Hero because I’m an alliteration slut lmao.
TOU: please don’t put behind a paywall, edit, or claim as your own.
Download posepack here (SFS) My poses are free, but if you want to support me on Ko-Fi you can do so here!

There have been a few versions of illustrations of the male protagonist for Legend of Mana, with Shinichi Kameoka's official art for the game and HACCAN's rendition of the character, which is used in the now discontinued Echoes of Mana, the Teardrop Crystal anime, and the animated opening for the HD version of the game. I guess I should repeat for clarity, but male Hero also has an official name, Shiloh! It's what the anime and Echoes of Mana used.
All of these art above are taken from the art book, the first two being the official art for LoM and an illustration for it, and the 3rd one is Mr. Kameoka's special illustration for what I believe is the Mana Series's 20th anniversary?
I don't have good copies of HACCAN's illustrations, but they're easy enough to look for if you search for the anime or the opening for the HD version.
All that being said, I want to pose one question now...
What in the world is Shiloh's real eye color???
Because I just realized now that in Kameoka's special illustrations he has green eyes, but in the original art, it's gray.
...it gets even more confusing if you factor in HACCAN's version because there, he definitely has blue eyes then lol.
I'm currently drawing him and I went with gray eyes because I'm relying mostly on the original character art, but I'm a bit confused now haha.
Mr. Kameoka designed both Hero/Shiloh and Heroine/Serafina, but he doesn't really share much explanations for them, the most the art book gives is, that in his version, Hero is a silent warrior, and Heroine is a kind person. Which does show, since Shiloh in the original LOM art is always frowning!
Shiloh in the anime is much more typical good-hearted hero who's very cheerful, he's basically a cinnamon roll in Teardrop Crystal haha. So cute!
And there is also Toto from the manga, who is much goofier (still heroic, but leaning towards a dumbass sometimes lol).
I do find it cute that Shiloh changes personality depending on the illustrator, though in my heart of hearts I do have to say I have a bias myself for Kameoka's original version of the frowney, silent warrior (with a heart of good underneath!)
#i do have to say the anniversary shiloh art is soooo good#shinichi kameoka's art just has a magical quality to it#i did notice his hair looks a bit different but I guess that's also his style changing a bit#legend of mana

Not Bailey being the best option for a stepdaddy and partner 💀 ik Wren's kicking screaming and dramatically sliding down the wall
He's having a dramatic rain scene and SCREAMING
stepdad au for those who don't know
You know those games where the choices you make impact how other characters become? The only example i can think about rn is Our Life's Shiloh, where you impact how much of a cunt he is at the end, in your wedding dlc.
ANYWAY, like I was thinking about how the kid turns out with each stepdad?
Avery: Fucking townie. The kid is growing up rich now. Immpeccable manners, but probably a streak of anxiety and they struggle with confrontation, because Avery's temper was always there, but never aimed at them that much. They get into the best schools, and they were homeschooled with the best tutors. With a bit of therapy, they'll do better in high stress situations, but they're pretty much set for life. Nepo baby. Is one of the dads who want to push Wren completely out of the picture. Fuck you, he's the one providing the education, the money, the care.
Bailey: Hero worships Bailey. To them, he's their hero. Came in when you were struggling. Remembers the scared look on your face. Doesn't remember much from before Bailey started staying over. Doesn't remember the pure fear you'd go through, right up until Bailey had you. Then he was a semi regular fixture at the dinner table. They didn't force the kid to talk when they weren't feeling it. To them, Bailey saved them from bullying, saved you from being lonely. Hears rumours around town about Bailey and always plugs their ears to not listen. They grow up smart as a whip, with excellent sense for business and a gun in their top drawer. Either they find out the truth about Bailey, and their world crumples to pieces and starts demanding you keep away from Bailey, or they just take it head on. Join the family business.
Leighton: You don't know when, but they somehow had gotten very slippery. Little white lies. They get in trouble, but it's always let go because they seem to never be caught in the act. They get the highest grades growing up, which is either from their sharp mind, or Leighton refuses to let them flunk out. Is the most protected kid in school. Someone tried to bully them for being a teacher's pet and it only took one day for them to stay 50 feet away from the kid at all times. Also, to them, you and Leighton have the perfect relationship. He does have so many cute polaroids of you in his wallet.
Harper: Gets a bit weird and dark growing up. Takes a keen interest in medicine, either to endear themselves to their stepdad, or because they actually do have an interest. They're quiet and have a genuine interest in the world around them. You've had to yoink them away from going down in the sewers to explore. Harper does take them to the hospital on certain days and only once took them to the asylum, just to let them read over the case files. Harper is one of those who will actively push Wren right out of the picture. Will not want their kid to think of him as anything less than their true papa.
Niki: They take a keen interest in photography. At one point in their youth, they started sticking a lollypop stick in their mouth as well, and ambling after Niki. They're quiet like him, but are missing the intensity that grows in his eyes. It's quiet upbringing, with pictures of the three of you lining the walls. Niki does like Wren, so would let him join in on stuff, but unlike everyone else, wants the kid away from the work they do, and the people they interact with. No going to the farm, no heading to his studio when he's photographing models. But his kid still get their own little polaroid camera. They share a love of photography. And of you.
Remy: That kid is the most spoiled. It WAS an accident, though, it's just that he loves the kid. Remy is a strict dad, motherfucker runs a tight ship, and your kid grows up with the same schedule as him. Up early in the morning and to bed late at night. They become an avid horse lover, always going out for a ride. Remy is also one that refuses to let them go into the town to go to school, so homeschooling it is. Fuck, he's the type to try to buy out the teachers to come and work for him as private tutors if they're good enough. One day, if he thinks they would be good at it, involve them in his actual farm. But until that day, they only know he runs a riding school, and he has a large estate. There would be a moment that your baby grows quiet and scared and one day has a melt down that the both of you are Remy's "other" family, and he keeps the real one at the estate. It does take the farmer a hot moment to reassure them that no, there's no other family... Just the cottage feels more like home than the estate. Is one that wouldn't push Wren out of the picture, but has become less close with him.

Shiloh:
Incredible worldbuilding (with a secretive dystopian government), ensemble cast of pretty much entirely morally gray characters, really creepy environments and demons, plenty of murder, OH AND THE MANTIS THING SHE GENUINELY MAKES ME SO UNCOMFORTABLE. Also it’s by the creators of Nevermore, so the art and writing and layers and layers of characterization are absolutely masterful. Everything is insanely messed up in the best way possible.
Surviving Romance:
Cutesy high school romance that... haha PSYCH you thought it was a pink and girly romance? THERE ARE ZOMBIES EATING THE HERO ALIVE! There's a TIMELOOP! There are traitors!

Thoughts on Drillow (*shudder*)
So Drew changes his name to Quartermaine and suddenly morphs into Alan? My thoughts are Willow are more complicated. I don't think she's ever really deprogrammed from her cult upbringing. She had enough sense to recognize that Shiloh was a sexual predator, but never really went beyond that. Drew is Willow's new cult leader. She's had major hero worship of him for a while now. I think her "attraction" to Drew was just a progression of that. She feels she owes him. I don't think Drew was trying to be predatory; he was just being self-serving and living in the moment. But I still find the whole thing disturbing.

I remember we stopped being friends two years ago due to my own former toxicity and my “immaturity”.
Now I’m grown and you seemed to have regressed, using your disability as a scapegoat to deflect the blame anyone throws your way. I had problems and changed, while you’ve cornered yourself and can only point at others.
I’d say wish I never met you, Shiloh, but you introduced me to people who I still care about. Got me interested in things I’d never considered. Hell, you shocked me into maturing and becoming a better person.
You were my hero, Shiloh.
Now, you can’t hurt me anymore.
The fact that you think this is mature at all says more than you think.
If you genuinely were the grown, mature, healthy adult you believe yourself to be, this would not feel necessary to you at all. Healthy adults don;t go around to those who they perceive have hurt them and rub their 'maturity' and 'healing' in their faces. The need to prove yourself as 'better' is inherently childish.
I have left everyone alone. What few people had not yet blocked me were sent my final apologies and goodbyes, and I have departed willingly and moved on. I mention none of the people who wronged me by name anywhere on here because I feel like calling them out would make me a hypocrite.
Why message me? Why send this cruel, scathing, hurtful message if you are so much more 'mature'?
The truth is, you idolizing me as some kind of 'hero' was only ever going to get you hurt. I am a flawed person. I am emotionally fragile, I am mentally and physically ill, I am opinionated and obnoxious, I am provocative and even problematic. You thinking I was some perfect hero and placing me on that pedestal is your problem. Not mine.
I'm sorry I hurt you. I take accountability for that harm. I hope that your life gets better and that one day, the hurt I caused you no longer affects you.
But this message just proves you haven't changed at all.

so if shiloh was born in the 80’s, do you think she would’ve been like a y2k icon?😭 i feel like that would be so fun if her style ended up in magazines and stuff haha
It’s a bit of a trip for me to grasp that and I’m the one planning the births?! 😂
But truly Shiloh would be iconic in her own right, baby girl with her Daddy’s sweetness, Grandma Gladys’ build and a penchant for wearing her mama’s old clothes and maybe single handedly being responsible for kicking the low waisted jeans to the curb? Maybe? God knows she’s the hero we needed but didn’t deserve

Zillys notes: Shiloh only is friends to keep the murderous, recently reincarnated, summoned thanks to a cult serial killer from going on a mass murder spree. I am willing to bring back her private investigator or detective verse just for this shit to be even funnier. frenemies for sure. I feel like their dynamic might be similar to Lucifer and Decker from the show Lucifer. Nothing romantic, but that he would just show up and be the biggest shit in her life. He would be at the scenes like "it wasn't me" and actually it isn't, his murder was across town and not found yet.
