How many pets do you have?
Good lord. I’m very passionate about my animals so this is going to be long
At my dads, where I am living rn, we have four cats: Lilo and stitch who are brother and sister, and four years old. Ryan and Archie were both fostered by a close friends of mine, and I adopted them the day they went back to the shelter. They are not from the same litter but were fostered together and are very close brothers, they are about 6-7 months old.
At my Step-Dads house, we have three dogs: Holly, my baby, who is 11 years old and the love of my life. She is a short haired miniature border collie. She was my grandmas dog for a year, but my grandma got her as a puppy, and could not take care of her as she wished to due to her own age. So, instead of giving her up to strangers, she came to me.
We have two more dogs, Pancake and Juliet. Pancake and Juliet are a blue heeler and collie mix. My mom and I were the ones to adopt them. We found a listing for free puppies on Craigslist, and without anyone’s knowing of what we were actually doing went and met the owners. Pancake and Juliet were seven weeks old when we adopted them, and they were the sweetest little beans I’ve ever seen. Julit was my mothers dog, and Pancake (who’s full name is Winnie the Pancake, yes I named her) was my own. They are sisters and I swear they love each other so much. Pancake is very protective of Juliet, and I think it is because Juliet is partially def.
There are two cats at my Step-Dad’s as well. My sisters cat Lu-Lu (or Moona) who is a very soft cuddly cat, and Satey, who is probably the most beautiful cat I have ever seen. She is gray, and while she isn’t one to come for petting, if you go searching for her and find her, she will let you pet and hold her. She did get sick very recently and lost a lot of wait to the point that you could see her skeleton, but shes hanging in there and last I heard she is starting to gain some weight back
Last but not least, and I don’t know if this counts, but my Step-dad’s house is actually on a chicken farm. I love the chickens and honestly I have story upon story I could tell. These birds are incredibly smart, smarter than anyone gives them credit for, and also can be the funniest birds ever. I’d say there’s at least fifty chickens, road island reds, road runners (can’t remember the real name), silkies, and some others. Lucky, Buffy, and Beatrice are the cuddliest chickens ever, and love being pet. Lucky is my Angel, she is ironically named because she is the luckiest bird ever. When she was a chic, she got out of her box and fell off of thappen.chen counter and broke her foot. Her foot healed, albeit crooked, but it doesn’t affect her at all today. She was attacked by a hawk, because they live in the woods by our house, and escaped. I baby that girl, give her extra treats, and when she was healing from the attack I was there every day after school holding her and comforting her. I’m going to stop there because I have many stories to tell about all of the chickens.
There are so many wonderful and beautiful things about these chickens. We started off with only two. My sisters rooster and my own chicken. Forgive me, but my sister and I were into Hetalia at the time, so her rooster is named Feliciano, and my chickens name is Natalia. Natalia is a beautiful light yellowish bronze that looks soft and honestly even her feathers feel like down.
We have a few ducks as well, there is I believe around ten to fifteen. The ducks are very peaceful, they don’t attack and are so lovely. They tend to keep their distance from humans, but I don’t recommend chasing them, haha. We raise ducks for their eggs, as well as the fact that we put chick’s that have reached a certain age into their pen so the ducks can protect them should something happen.
I honestly could keep going on about all of these animals for hours and hours, everyone I know has had to suffer through me telling and retelling tales about all of them, but I will leave it here and hope you enjoyed this not-so-little answer about the pets and animals my family has!!
