Right off the bat, William knows that your boyfriend is an asshole. He's basically been everywhere on campus, so he knows what everyone gets up to, when and with who. It's not his place to say anything because he's just a 'lowly' janitor, but he's secretly been wondering about how you'd take the news. Of course, he cares about you, but once he's out of the picture he can have you to himself. After all, you're graduating in a few months, and he can quit his job to look after you...

"Who is she?" he hears you yell. The tone of your voice is undeniably filled with rage, but he can hear your words crack ever so slightly as they hitch in your throat. "Who the fuck is she, Chad?"

"No one, she doesn't mean anything!" the boy says. He can't see you, but he can see the scene playing out right in front of him, like some fucked up play. You're on the verge of tears, and he's nonchalant, like nothing ever happened. "She was just some girl on the cheer team..."

"So you're not even going to deny that there is a girl?" you scoff. "On the cheerleading team, of all things?"

William peers in, and he can see you closing in on yourself, staring in disbelief at the mess around you. Anyone would be able to see you tremble; utterly in fear of just how quickly he'd switched his temperament. You look up, aware of the feeling of being watched, and you make a pained face.

"I wish I knew," he said, sitting on the armchair next to you. What made him swoon was how you hadn't even flinched at the action, when people usually wanted away from janitors as much as possible. I've been having a think. it would have been so obvious and so easy to actually involve Vickie in the s4 plot if her boyfriend was one of the basketball team than some random college dude.

I think it would work best if she was with either Andy or Chance (I'd say Chance just cos he was a little more likeable and my girl should have some taste), so right from the start of the season she's already involved with way more characters. She could have been dating Chance, friends with Chrissy (or at least friendly, not like they're besties or anything), and not liked Jason knowing his behaviour and tendencies. If she was at the party after the game, she could have been looking out for Lucas (cos she totally would) making sure he was okay, possibly even forming at least some decent acquaintance with him.

I also have a hc that Vickie is Dustin's neighbour (it worked for an AU and now I just kinda like the idea), so she could know that Lucas was friends with Dustin and therefore Eddie, almost definitely not believing that Eddie could have been the one to kill Chrissy. Chrissy could have previously confided in her about struggling and considering taking drugs to cope, so Jason's insistence Chrissy wouldn't take drugs would also contribute to that.

If this were the case, it could probably work one of two ways. One being that she stays with Chance throughout most of the season (since he doesn't really join the manhunt until Chrissy's funeral), and kinda stays a side character until vol 2. She could bump into Robin a couple of times (at the library or a shop maybe?), and kinda clock that something bigger is going on, maybe even using it as reason to try and keep the jocks off Eddie's tail (of course also having a massive bi crisis). She could end up going to warzone with Chance and breaking up with him there for the measures he and Jason and that are taking (ofc again running into Robin and having the "oh shit she has a bf" moment). I'm not quite sure what she'd do after that, probably just go home and mull over her bi panic over Robin Buckley idk.

Other way to go would be that she fully helps Lucas break away from the jock group and takes him to the school where she finds out Robin is involved, and kinda ends up just joining the group. That way she'd kind of just be a tagalong for most of it, but there'd be PLENTY of room for rovickie development, including Vickie learning more about Robin's experience with the upside down and realising her feelings by spending more time with her and connecting with her (if Robin gets trapped in the upside down while Vickie stays with the kids she could be panicking about her safety in the cute romantic kinda way AAH), maybe even having some moments with Steve and becoming friends with him.

That was just a thought I had, it pisses me off to no end that it's 100% the writers fault for Vickie being unpopular, I love her I get her it's so hard to get others to see the vision cos I know exactly why 😭

It was really hard to do this rank. To be honest, I like all of Until Dawn's characters, I even like the last character on the list, so:

1. Josh: I hate a lot of the things he says (especially about Ashley and Jessica even if he said them to motivate Chris and anger Mike) and a lot of things he did. But I do think he's a great character because he's the most interesting one to analyse, in my opinion. He's a really nuanced character, and he's really sympathetic. Like in the end you can't help but feel bad for him because you know none of it was his fault, everything is so unfair to him and as someone with younger siblings, I can definitely understand why he'd want revenge. And I could keep going about how he deserved better... Aside from that, he has some really iconic lines and moments. Especially as the psycho, I'm pretty sure I love all of the psycho scenes. Also, Rami Malek's acting is perfect he really made a difference. Josh just brought the drama, and honestly, his reveal made my jaw drop. He's iconic.

2. Chris: so chris is my second favourite because he's just so likeable to me. I feel like he reacted quite well to the events of the night (if you don't make the worst choices), yes he was in denial sometimes but who wouldn't? And he is a bit corny but it was 2015. He's a good friend to Josh and Sam, a good (potentially) boyfriend to Ashley. He has cool lines and he just seems like a cool dude. His monk prank nearly gave me a heart attack so props to him.

3. So Sam is also really likeable. She literally does nothing wrong! She's smart, beautiful, friendly, brave... But that's also a problem. She's too perfect. Not morally grey enough to me. I wish she just reacted more to things. I wish she was meaner to Mike, and I wish she stayed with Mike and Josh in the mines. Her leaving was so random, and it's less interesting than her staying. What I really like about her development is how she seems like she will be way less pacific and friendly after all of this when you see her in the credit scenes. She just seems so changed (understandable). Sadly, we will never see this side of her. I also wish we could see more of the relationship she had with Josh while dealing with the disappearance of his sisters since we know they bonded a lot over this. But hey, we can always imagine!

4. Emily: Yes, I am aware she's really hated, and I actually used to hate her too. But then I analysed her character, and I realised she's not a bad person. Sure, she has an attitude problem, and she uses Matt as a rebound (it doesn't necessarily make her a bad person, it's "just" unhealthy) while treating him badly sometimes (this is something that I hate about her tho); But everytime she got mad it was honestly valid: Hannah trying to get with Mike? Valid. (She did, however, overreact, and the others had no business joining in the prank) Jessica who was supposedly her best friend coming up with an awful prank to pretend she's helping her out, while she actually has a crush on her bf, then dating Mike after 2 of their friends disappeared because of the prank Jessica came up with since "she wanted Mike and Emily to stay happy together"? Valid!!!! Ashley and Mike threatening her with a gun?? Valid af! So yeah she never gets mad for no reason, plus she's a very capable woman and iconic (understand the palm of my hand bitch). The fandom is unfair (and misogynistic let's be honest) towards her.

5. Mike: So Mike is both an asshole and a hero, which kind of makes him interesting to me. Like he has funny moments and reactions, but he did really fucked up stuff. Like pranking his friend who has a crush on him!? It's so cruel for no reason. Potentially kill Emily too. But he can also be quite heroic, like when he runs after Hannah when she's dragging Jess away. Or how he tries to keep everyone together and just get everyone out of here. He has great survival and leadership skills. So I'm pretty mixed on him. I do think he had a bit too much alone screentime (we needed more from Jess and Matt). I do feel like he gets away with a lot of things.

6. Matt: So I really wanna root for the guy you know? Like I want him to get out of his relationship with Emily (even tho she can truly start loving him by the end), I want him to be happy. He's a good guy. And I really like that his character development starts if you stand up to Emily. But he didn't have enough screentime. So I can't rate him higher. I will give him props for traumatising me with his telescope jumpscare.

7. Jessica: So she's an asshole to me. But she's a bimbo and she's just so silly and goofy. I just can't hate her. She also went through a lot on the night, which makes me feel sympathy for her. But I can't rate her higher because 1. She's an asshole towards Hannah and Emily. 2. Not enough screentime.

8. Ashley: I know it's gonna be controversial. I DO like her, but I just don't understand her. She's a super interesting character to analyse. She's so morally grey, but sometimes I have a hard time feeling bad for her. I do think her freaking out was completely normal, tho. I don't understand the people who hate her because of that. I just feel like she rarely feels bad for people. She's a bit egoistic. Her letting Chris die was not fair to me. Yes, of course, it's normal to hate Chris if she shoots her. But he did it because he thought he had no choice. He was under the influence of fear. He would never kill her if he didn't have to. He thought his own life was at risk. But her not opening the door was not under the influence of fear. She did it out of pettiness. She was not risking her life by opening the door. And even if she actually did it because of fear, she would look terrified while Chris is getting killed. But she was just staring. She almost seemed to enjoy it. She also wanted Mike to shoot Emily. It seems like she completely loses control when she's on stressful situations (understandable) and shows no sympathy to others. So, it makes it hard for me to connect with her. I still think she's a good character and very interesting. And she brought cool moments to the game (like letting Chris die was kind of shocking/funny and cool because it's a great butterfly effect). Forgot to mention how her honesty goes down if she shows remorse for the prank which is icky to me 😬

Here's a long boy all about the twitch stream angry moment, yes she is really upset at him and he instantly felt bad and got quite. But "yelling at him for two minutes straight" makes it sound more intense but yeah tensions were high for a bit. It's the 07/14/2021 stream (smosh showoff, confessions and meme review) specifically 12 mins from the end so at around 1h44min, I def recommend watching the full clip, Dept of Weird Sounds on YouTube didn't include it in the part 30 compilation but I think it should've been there since they were def dating by that point and it shows that they ultimately know how to deescalate things pretty quickly, stop pushing when the other is hurt and how theyre soft w each other after bickering, otherwise this could've been really bad because they were both hurt lol been wanting to talk about this one for a while but got the feeling that people haven't seen it since no one brings it up lol

They're playing Confessions and she comes up with a confessions and they have to guess whether it's true or false. C's decides her confession is "i regret not realizing my value when I was younger / having low self esteem in the past" and S jokingly goes "oh, fuck off!" and the room busts out in laughter but you can see the rest of cast is unsure whether to laugh or not because C wasn't laughing, so yeah she's scary and they don't wanna upset her aw. She didn't make it a big deal though and only asked him "do you regret that response?" when she saw he was laughing quietly in the back because he realized she wasn't amused.

The tension arises though when they're all unsure what to answer and S goes "I'm gonna be mad if you're gonna say that you don't regret your past becasue that was your journey and stuff" because he feels like that's a copout answer. And she doesn't like his response and almost threateningly (lol) goes "how would you feel about that?" he jokingly replies "I'm gonna be mad" which she ofc sees as condescending, technically she can feel however she wants to about her past and just because its a cliche answer doesn't make it untrue.

She reveals her answer and it's exactly as he predicted, so they lose. She doesn't regret how she felt in the past because it got her here, she yells "fuck you, I regret nothing bitch!" to everyone in the room (S knows her frustration is mainly directed at him and you can see him get flustered and red) then she specifically turns to S and says "and fuck you shayne! I am allowed to believe that" because it hurt her feelings that they were making fun of her potential answer before she said it esp s (her actual bf). But the rest of the "yelling" was really her talking to the room about why she answered that way and laughing about it w Damien, also crew and cast are laughing throughout so it doesn't feel as intense but those two were fighting for sure for a sec there. She was upset so she ignored him for a min as they cooled down and he was upset that she called him out like that in front of everyone and the stream, but very soon after you can see her looking at s through the stream monitor up top (since he was sitting at the top of the set behind her) and when she sees he has a pout on his face, she immediately feels bad, turns and says to him: "are you mad?", also because probably people in the chat were pointing out S is mad/embarassed. Anyway i love how as soon as she extended an olive branch to make peace he immediately is okay and laughingly explains why he thought she would answer differently and she understands that he wasn't trying to make fun of her and all is resolved, they go back to making each other laugh and be adorable for the rest of this very fun stream. Made me realize that's probably how they are, they get quiet when upset even after blowing up and then slowly reach out to apologize and they don't seem to hold the grudge for the rest of the stream, in fact they go out of their way to make each other laugh almost as a hidden "I'm sorry, I hated what just happened" in a way and that's so soft of them

Omg the Confessions stream, tensions were high for a bit, but I love how after the bickering and before they made up, when C wins the game S is still the first to clap for her ever though he's livid and pouty. This is all so true! Logan constantly gaslights Rory, makes her doubt herself, talks her out of her feelings and ends up making her feel unsure of herself, he literally toys with her and plays mind games with her at first and ghosts her leaving her wondering what she has done wrong. He makes her feel so bad about herself while at the same time not being able to leave him even when he does. Exactly like Dean is shitty but Logan is so so shitty and people overlook his red flags so often and pretend he's perfect. Like yeah they had a few cute moments and where he wasn't a total ass but the overall time of there relationship he was horrible to her and he did cause her to start changing herself for him to the point where she started to feel lost! He cheats on her then gaslights her and invalidates her feelings for it! Like some people may or may not view it as cheating but the fact of the matter is Rory felt cheated and he completely invalidated her! He blame shifts all the time. The conversation where he starts yelling at her in the pub about "I didn't tell her to quit Yale you did that" like she wasn't even talking about him but he made it all about himself flipped it around to make it like "don't you dare blame me" she wasn't even blaming him. I could go on and on about all the reasons Logan makes me so mad! It's so cathartic that you feel the same! Sorry about my long rant I saw your tags and yeah it's all so true!

First of all, never apologize for ranting it's my favorite thing and second I agree 100% with you!!

The scene with Rory crying on the bathroom floor will always make me sad and the fact that I've seen so many of the Rogan shippers talk about that scene like it's proof that he's the bf that Rory loved the most (no I'm not kidding they really count that scene as a win) when personally I think it's the start of the toxic cycle that is their relationship.

The cycle is: They get together something happens they fight instead of dealing with it Logan ghosts her and then he shows up out of nowhere and expects everything to go back to normal (and sadly most of the time Rory lets it slide :( )

My biggest problem with Dean is that he gives me the vibe that at any second he could get physically abusive but at least in canon he doesn't do anything as bad as Logan (altho he definitely manipulated the hell out of Rory and Lindsey in the S4 arc) and like I get why he's the most hated but at the same time, I really think that title should go to Logan (Dean's biggest crime in canon is having absolutely no personality).

Honestly to me, any cute Rogan moment gets overshadowed by the fact that Logan treats Rory like a rug 99% of the time (also most of those moments are so cringy like the 'workdork' thing were the S7 writers trying so badly to make them have a 'booktease' scene I'm sure of it)

On the Rory changing thing I agree 100%. Rory in S5 was trying to play a role she was trying so badly to be what she thought Logan wanted that she lost herself (which I think contributed to the breakdown that she had in S6) and Logan didn't even realize because let's be honest he doesn't know her! The man didn't even know her birthday!!

And yes people need to understand that if to Rory it felt like cheating then it was cheating (granted I don't think there is any way to not make it sound like cheating but don't ask them to make sense) and his weird Ross Geller like speech doesn't change that!!!

The scene in the pub is so funny to me in the sense that she didn't say shit about him she was talking about herself but he got so butthurt! like damn you called yourself out! she didn't have to say anything!

The thing is that yes, Rory is an adult and she made a choice but that does not change the fact that Logan was more than happy about it he didn't try to talk to her about it. I'm not saying that he should have dragged her back to Yale but he didn't try and as her boyfriend, he needs to be real with her and call her out when she's doing something stupid! We heard the commentators mention Richmond having "lost the plot" in their anger towards Nathan having ripped up the BELIEVE sign. But it can also just as easily be Ted in the way he seems distant from his team. He's not really coaching this season. Says things here and there but it's nothing compared to the constant optimism he had previously.

Or Colin, who is constantly feeling like an outsider even with his great teammates and bestie Isaac. He still hasn't really found his place either. With the way the coaches took him out of the starting lineup and how that seemed to have hit him hard. He's hiding a part of him to protect himself because he's not sure he's safe.

And it could even be Jamie the first two seasons. He was the one scoring the goals but he didn't actually have a place in Richmond. He was a bully. And although having him sent back to Man City just as Ted was getting through to him probably hurt...it did help him appreciate Richmond more. He had to "lose the plot" there to find his place as one of Richmond's forwards.

Ted this season, again, seeming detached and out of it. He's found out his ex wife has been seeing her ex therapist. The one he felt was teaming up on him with his wife during their sessions. When we were first introduced to Ted back in S1, we saw that his marriage was not working. But he still seemed so positive and optimistic. I mean, Rebecca and Trent Crimm Independent couldn't help but end up liking him. Whenever the team was feeling down, he'd find a way to motivate them. And now it's just "don't worry, y'all are doing great 🙂👍"

Or Keeley. She's also usually quite optimistic and happy. She says so herself this episode. But now she's needing to schedule times for her to cry because she's so overwhelmed. And she's still in pain over the breakup although she tries not to think too hard about it.

Ted hiding his feelings with his optimism and enthusiasm, Colin only really having his bf to talk to about queer shit (Trent will come in clutch surely), Rebecca spiralling and kind of starting to believe the words of some rando so on and so forth etc. etc.

All I'm asking for's a little bit of faith You know it's easy to believe

Again, Ted's speech to the team post-Zava. It was easy to believe in Zava. The way he praised those around him. But only so they would pay attention to him. Make him feel like the god he thinks he is. But he's not there any more. Which means, if they want to change, they need that belief regardless if there's some insanely famous and talented player on their team. Because that's not what makes a good team anyways. Belief is the foundation of this team and the foundation of the Lasso Way. (Even if Ted does not always truly believe in himself)

And here's this last line that's very brief but very much one character in particular.

Cause all you ever do is chant the same old mantra

"I am a strong and capable man." Over and over and over. It's implied that Colin doesn't fully believe himself when he says that. Because then he wouldn't need to remind himself. And if he had an elder queer (come on Trent) to talk to, maybe he'd feel even just a little bit more at ease. And it's not entirely the same as talking with Michael. His bf said it himself, he doesn't know football so probably doesn't understand the social environment within that area. So all Colin has is his mantra.

I actually enjoy Kaias book club n she said in the last one that was told a lot that she was very "mature" n a "old soul" when she was young n i definetly get that vibe from her, i feel like she thinks shes more mature bt by her interviews she sounds like her age to me tbh (nt a bad thing though shes still seems more stable than a lot of other nepo baby models).

I did think her n JE were going to last longer, they give off the same kinda vibe imo. In his print interviews he seems pretentious/wanting to emulate old hollywood stars or Health Ledger n Kaia mentioned smthin about how an artist isnt going to sacrifice their movie for someones kid (wrong lol) cuz thats not how art is made n she wants to "make art". I've always liked the fact that Kaia had her book club, and it's smthg she's done for years. She's a VERY avid reader, so I'm not even surprised that Austin was attracted to her, coz he loves to read also! 😊 Like, I can totally understand why they clicked, cuz they actually have quite a bit in common.

While I do think that Kaia has been forced to grow up VERY quickly in the modeling world, and probably isn't a "regular person's" 21 year old, she's STILL very young (imo), and pretty naïve and out of touch.... You can tell by her interviews. The funny thing is, she doesn't even realize it yet, which is why it's so ironic.

I'm not sure of the context of what she meant by "making art", so I won't comment on that, but part of me almost feels like she's just repeating buzz words lol. At least with JE, I feel like that's who he truly is, and what he truly wants. Although they sometimes looked miserable together lol, I actually think they were better matched? They were closer in age, and seemed to have similar backgrounds.

ALL of us were more naïve at that age though, so it's not a slight towards her, it's just a reminder that she doesn't have much life experience yet. 🤷🏾‍♀️ According to Psychologists, your brain isn't even FULLY developed until your mid-late 20s!

JE grew up pretty privileged, and so did Kaia. When you've been raised around wealth your entire life like Kaia has, it's hard to know how to relate to "common folk".

First off, I'll just say, I think Austin is actually a very nice guy, and definitely seems way more humble and in touch with reality due to his background.

I could be dead wrong, but I kinda get the impression that he's more so focused on his career right now. Yes, he's been in the business for almost 20 years, but he's JUST now getting his big break, so he's a bit behind than some others who got their big breaks in their early 20s or younger. And Dan is having like an entire nervous breakdown about it until McCoy finds out through other means and then has to, basically, volunteer? And afterwards he just. Asks the dept heads to just tell him if anyone else is in that same position of just. Torn between two evils? Can't ask him to do that/can't not try to save someone important to them?

But YES re: is he just??? going to go around and sleep with everyone who's got this terminal illness???? is he just letting ppl die every second he's not sleeping with someone???? And YES, like with the main crew he's friends with them, so it's easier! If it's his friend suffering, then offering isn't - they're friends! He's. I also - which I probably won't include because it's a lot heavier than I was thinking I was gonna make this - was thinking of a security officer actually dying, and his bf just. Like he's just everyone's on call second opinion whether he likes it or not lmao?

like there's two different stories here haha, and i don't know that they fit together, but they're both interesting!

but also dan's parents ask after that "handsome young doctor fella" the entire rest of that 5 year mission lmao, and while dan is UNSPEAKABLY grateful that mccoy saved his dad's life, and mccoy & dan absolutely cannot look each other in the eyes 🙃
