Happy venting in the tags! Basically my dog wasn't doing well but he's improving fast, and I have nowhere else to talk about it.
#animal distress#paralysis#so two weeks ago i found my dog paralyzed in the yard#turns out he has something called acute non-compressive nucleus pulposus extrusion. or annpe#and dogs tend to recover from that but it takes a while. maybe even a few months#a pro of being able to stay at home is that i can take care of him and monitor him 24/7#i was scared because he seemed really traumatized from his stay at the hospital but he was more himself today#he walked! kinda. he was able to push himself up and like crab walk around for 30 seconds or so#he was so happy. what a good boy. i'm so proud of him#i spent a lot of time laying on the floor with him today since he didn't want to be in his dog bed#he scooted himself into my belly and pressed his forehead against my thighs#at one point he somehow maneuvered up to lay his paw on my arm and went to sleep like that#i can't wait to watch you chase squirrels again my friend. for now please rest and know that i'll always be there for you#he's healing so quickly that i bet he'll be walking again within the next two weeks. like walking distances#i'll probably still have to carry him down steps and stuff but i don't mind#anyway this post is okay to interact with haha#me.#nothing to do with writing
