No pressure ifbyou arent taking writing requests, but i would love to see what you could do based off the song Battle Cries by The Amazing Devil
It gives me Skyward Sword vibes
Link stared at the loftwing feather held gingerly between his fingers.
The last few months had been... difficult. In some ways, they'd been more difficult than his actual journey to rescue Zelda and stop Demise. The pain of pushing his body past its breaking point, the anguish of never seeming to be enough, the heartache of always missing Zelda... they had amounted to such invisible wounds that he was still fighting the repercussions.
Somehow, that was worse. How was one supposed to move on when such a life altering event happened? How did one jolt out of the keep moving keep going don't ever stop or falter for a second and not just... collapse? How did one get back up after doing so?
The world continued to move ahead. His academy still had classes, though chatter of the Surface and its exploration was still a hot topic, even six months after the cloud barrier's disappearance.
The first month it had been acceptable, even understandable. Link had nearly died from his final fight, it had been one thing too many in a collection of wounds and exhaustion. Despite the healing affects of the life fruit he'd been given, he'd still slept for nearly a week upon his return to Skyloft. And after that, the headmaster had ensured he didn't have any kind of workload. Zelda had been at his side constantly, and the two had silently enjoyed each other's company, seemingly cut off from the rest of their people.
But that had been understandable. It had been a long journey. They would never be the same.
However, that didn't excuse this exhaustion lingering for so long. By the fourth month, Link was nearing a point of despair. It wasn't until Commander Eagus spoke to him candidly, told him of the affects on his mind after such an event (no one on Skyloft truly comprehended what had happened on the Surface, but some had put more pieces together than they probably should have). After all, Eagus had become commander when his own commanding officer had fallen in battle. Eagus hadn't fought as Link had, but he still understood to a small degree.
It had helped. To a point. Knowing that his mind needed time was good, that he wasn't just defective, but... it still didn't make it any easier to bear sometimes.
And that was only covering half of the issue. Eagus only spoke from a soldier's perspective. Link had seen more than battle. He'd watched his best and dearest friend become someone else entirely, he'd been told that their friendship was a carefully constructed plan, that he was a weapon as much as Fi had been.
He still hung around Zelda. She still hovered close to him. She'd said it herself, she was still his Zelda. But it... wasn't the same.
He tried not to think about it. After all, he did still love her. After all, she hadn't known any of the plan their entire lives.
But it stung. It stung. Because now... if he had been chosen for this purpose, and if Zelda had been born in the right circumstances so as to befriend him... now what?
What was his purpose now that his journey was over? Now that Demise had been defeated?
Link had never really had much of a plan for his life, honestly. He'd daydreamed his time away, relaxing and just enjoying being with Zelda and his loftwing, enjoying sights and smells and warmth and comfort. He was in the knight's academy, so becoming a knight was obviously a goal, but he had never felt particularly motivated for major life goals. He wasn't much of a planner, certainly not that far ahead.
But now... all he could think about was the future. All he could think was now what?
He knew, though. He knew what to do next. Because six months was enough time to let himself float in this haze of existing and not existing. He also knew it probably wouldn't get entirely better. But life wasn't going to stop just because he had, and for once, that meant something to him.
Link carefully wove the feather shaft into the leather cords, tying it in its place. He'd added beads to the headdress already - his loftwing's contribution was the final touch.
Because yes, he was tired. And yes, he wasn't entirely sure if his mind would ever clear of the fog that had crushed it since his journey's end. But no matter how he felt, his perception of hte world didn't change how it was.
Zelda was still there for him. The Surface was vast, endless even, and so, so new and different. The Triforce needed protecting. Zelda had already made plans for a settlement, and, with Groose's help, was in the process of setting foundations, while Link cleared the area of threats. There was hope, there was new life and a future and things beyond Link's comprehension.
His loftwing purred, bumping his beak against Link's forehead.
Link chuckled, nuzzling into his companion's feathery cheek, melting into the softness of it. "Yeah, I know. Let's go for a flight and then I'll go to her."
Crimson chittered excitedly, moving quickly towards the edge and diving off the island. Link stood there a moment, alone, and then smiled, tucking the headdress into his pouch. He felt anxiety hold him hostage a moment, and then he broke free of it, running full speed to the island's end and leaping with every ounce of energy he had.
The air whipped and whooshed around him, slamming into him layer after layer as he crashed through the sky. His wounds and worries were left behind, and he yelled in excitement and joy, he screamed in defiance at everything that weighed him down.
At the end of the day, nothing could clip his wings. Not even himself. He refused to let it.
Putting his fingers to his mouth, Link whistled shrilly, and his loftwing immediately came. He could always rely on Crimson. He knew, in the end, he could also always rely on Zelda.
And that headdress, alongside a traditional dance, would be the start of a physical representation of that.
In the meantime, his mind and heart soared with his loftwing, and he laughed as he flew through the sky.

what are the links and there different relationships with there Zelda i know sky is in love with his Zelda but what about the others
Ok, some Zelda’s I haven’t thought about at all or won’t involve for reasons but let’s do this
Skord is romantic, Sky is thinking about proposing
Minish is mutual pining, but idk if they will end up since Minish isn’t royalty. But who knows! Maybe the King loves him so much that he doesn’t mind
For Time, they were in love, but because he was sent back in time, they couldn’t really be together. The child timeline’s version of that Zelda doesn’t know Time very well and it’s very heartbreaking for him. Malon helped him move on from it, tho it still hurts since Zelda understood him a lot. (I am debating on whether or not Adult Timeline Zelda is gonna show up, as Sheik. But who knows)
For Twilight, they were never really friends, more like acquaintances. They both knew and cared about Midna, but they didn’t ever know each other, so they kinda just… vibe separately. Zelda does want to get Twi more involved since he’s the hero but he doesn’t do anything, so they’re not very close.
For Four (lol) their relationship is based after the manga (the entire thing is based after the manga really) so Four has a big crush on Zelda! It’s cute.
Windy is of course, dating Tetra, who does not go by Zelda. He’s thinking of proposing and it’s so cute and Telink literally kills me I love them. They’re very close and deal with disagreements (like with how they feel about Daphnes) but they’re able to push past that.
Warriors has a HUGE crush on Zelda, but he’s trying to be chill about it. I love to think that he’s very smooth and stuff but around Zelda he turns into a mess. It’s cute. Tho something happens in the story that makes Warriors upset, but there’s a reason, you’ll see ;)
For Wild… I guess they’re good friends? Idk… to be perfectly honest botw Zelda is my least favorite so I haven’t thought about her in lbl at all. So idk if I’ll involve her or not.
For Age they’re close friends, but not a couple (it’s the same case with Wild, might not involve her cuz she annoyed me more in AOC)
For the downfall timeline peeps, I don’t have any ideas for them and don’t know if I’ll even involve them, but they’re both really close to their Zelda’s (Hyrule might be romantic and Legend might be good friend or romantic)
And First didn’t have a Zelda but he had Hylia, and yes, they were both in love
So yeah! Great question!!! Those are the relationships!!! :)))

Hi I was hoping to ask for your advice on writing. I’m trying to write from headcanons to little short fics (like one shots) from the readers pov but I’m finding it difficult to do so smoothly. Any idea how to do the transition without it coming out as a fanfic readers worst nightmare?
Well, I cannot guarantee the quality of my “advice” but I will give it a shot!
Apologies for you folks that hate my big essay length posts, but I do love infodumping about the writing process :P
So just click “J” to skip the post (if you’re on mobile...sorry just exercise your scrolling finger a bit more)
- - - - - - - - - -
So I’ll start with the distinctions between a headcanon and a fic. On one hand, you got simpler sentences, that summarize a broader idea or scene. You might have visualized the entire thing in your head, but at the end of the day all you do is write down a few sentences or pieces of dialogue that give the broader basis of an idea and/or scene. That’s not to say writing headcanons is easy, but it is, bluntly, the simpler method.
Writing, obviously, is more complicated. Not only are you trying to convey a more abstract idea to your reader, but you’re doing so with more layers and complexities, given that what you are trying to write is generally more detailed. You have to not only account for what your basic premise is, but the method in which you convey it. So, in a “good” fic, it typically doesn’t just focus on the basic “what is happening right now” in a scene, but can give subtleties and intricacies with its tone, themes, point of view, connotation, foils, imagery, symbolism, sentence structure, diction, context, figurative language, narrative, foreshadowing, setting, irony, character arcs, and the thousands and thousands of other layers that go into constructing story.
And I say “story” there deliberately, as I think the best way to summarize the differences is that a headcanon is a plot, while a one-shot is a story. Your one-shot has the ability to tell different messages, details, and themes, and give several points of interest to your reader, while your headcanon is limited to the structure of its initial premise.
[And before you English nerds bash me for my definition of story and plot, please know that I am using my film teacher’s old definition, which (to quote this quizlet I found) is “Story is all of the elements of a narrative that are involved, both shown and un-shown on screen. Plot is only all of the elements of a narrative that are shown on screen.” So yeah, it theoretically could be rewritten as a headcanon is a scene, and a one-shot is a story, but I’m just nitpicking at this point half of you don’t care and want me to move on anyway, apologies!]
So how do you transition between them? Well, in honesty I don’t exactly have a sure fire way for you, saying I do would be very hypocritical. However, what I can do is point out the “gap” between headcanons and fics, and perhaps from there you might be able to forge your own path..?
Chances are, if you’re already familiar with writing headcanons, you’ve already knocked out half of the work. See in a story, specifically in our case, fic, you have eight elements that construct it. You’ve got
Plot
Setting
Conflict
Character
Point of View
Tone
Style
and Theme
With a headcanon, (assuming it’s slightly more specific than “Headcanon that this character likes peaches!”) you’ve already got plot, setting, conflict, and character down.
Plot: being the actual premise of your story. What happens, why things happen, how other characters react, the beginning and ending, etc.
Setting: Being the location and time of your scene/plot. The setting might be a contingency to your story, such as a prison break that takes place in prison, or maybe it is the time that is essential for your High School AU fic
Conflict: Typically goes hand and hand with your plot, although not always (obviously, plot and conflict aren’t essential when talking about fics, *winks at the nsfw side of tumblr*) But if your headcanon does have a basic plot, then it probably has some sort of conflict whether external (The Calamity kills everybody) or internal (you’re character is going through grief)
Character: This whole aspect is practically already done for you. Whether by canon from the video game or media you got it from, or perhaps by fanon, with the collective fandom agreeing on certain traits about your character(s) in question. Obviously, if you got an OC, that’s another thing, as you have to create their traits, and construct a believable way that that character reacts and makes choices throughout your plot, depending on how you characterized them
So congrats! In writing up your everyday headcanon, you’re now halfway there to making a full on fic! Obviously, 50% is still a lot, which is probably the reason you were seeking advice in the first place, so now we should move on to the other half, and arguably it is this other half of elements that give the entire distinction between a headcanon and a one-shot. So in theory, if you get these elements down, you’re on your way to writing that much faster!
Quick additional note: Another way to think of your headcanon is as an outline. While not in every case, a good way to jump from your headcanon to a fic is to stick with the major elements of your headcanon, and weaving your writing style in between. Think of the headcanon as your skeleton, and the story being the meat and muscle. Idk if that makes sense, blame my old English teacher for the metaphor
Alrighty, so for demonstration purposes I’m gonna use the very first headcanon I’ve ever written as a basis. Bear with me for a moment:
“Zelink Headcanon: Zelda Just Wants Some Snacks
Everyone always jokes and adores about how Link eats so much and cooks great food in the game (he’s gotta carbo load guys, he walks like 9 miles everyday!)
However I propose, equally hungry and feral Zelda
After Link and Zelda defeat Ganon, one of the first things they do is stop by the nearest cooking pot and eat
She hasn’t eaten for 100 years!! She’s gotta be starving!
Link just cooks up some meat skewers
“…wait I forgot the Goron spice, gimme a sec…”
But Zelda just immediately snatched it off the fire and eats the whole thing in two seconds
Link keeps trying to go out of his way to make really nice food but Zelda is just like “I DON’T CARE RIGHT NOW PLEASE LINK”
So yeah, their first date is basically just Link cooking Zelda a buffet until his inventory empties out”
Again, this headcanon has already given us half of the answers.
We got our plot: Link, a talented chef, is cooking food which Zelda scarfs down without fear and hesitation
Setting: They are by a cooking pot, perhaps in the wilderness, away from the prying eyes of nosey villagers. This takes place sometime after the initial defeat of Calamity Ganon.
Conflict: Link keeps trying to cook “good” food, but despite the Princess’ royal upbringing, she has no care for the whole “show” of cooking with spices and garnish. She is starving, willing to eat anything
And Characters: Link and Zelda. You know... (Today unfortunately is not the day in which I construct a thorough character analysis of the two...perhaps one day...)
So, now that we have this, we start adding the meat and muscle of our story with point of view, tone, style, and theme. These elements, could be summarized as your writing style. Yes, writing style is more intricate than those four elements alone, but they do fit in with its broad definition.
So, in essence, a way to transition between headcanon and fic is to find out what kind of writing style you’re comfortable with.
How do you do that? Well... shocker, I know, you gotta write.
Write first, plan the elements of your one-shot later!!
Allow yourself to write complete utter garbage. I know you said that you don’t wanna create a “fanfic reader’s worst nightmare,” but if you become more concerned with the quality of your content before you even start writing, you will never ever ever get anywhere. You’re gonna be stuck in writer’s block for eternity, so just let the garbage and nightmares out and write. You’ll never improve if you don’t have something to improve from, you feel me?
So, now that your mind is open and ready to write anything, whether garbage or gold, let us dive in to the parts of your writing style.
Point of view: Do you prefer writing in third person? First? Second? Each have their pros and cons. Second person is good for your “x reader” inserts. First person is good for your narrator’s characterization. Third person is good for describing elements of your surroundings that might not be inherently obvious to your characters or audience. There are hundreds of other pros and cons to the different POVs that you can search up online, but it’ is ultimately up to you to decide which method you like best.
When you find the method you like best, make sure you use it to it’s full potential! Use foreshadowing with your third person POVs. Use connotation, and diction to further characterize your narrator in first person. Elevate the mood and senses of a scene when in second person.
Tone: Now, this element is often confused with another literary device, mood. The difference being that you as the author have more control over the tone, than the mood. The tone, is the attitude that you as the author (or as a character/narrator, depending on your POV) have towards something. For example, your tone might be suspenseful if you withhold information from your reader, or if you have a certain choice of diction. It is typically better to look to the type of genre you’re writing for to identify what kind of tone you want.
Mood is the feeling that the reader experiences from your writing. It’s really much more simple, a beloved character dying give a depressed mood. A cute couple hanging out will give the reader a happier mood. This is your angst and fluff feelings, if you will. (Although, please remember than mood and tone are not a binary thing, it is a spectrum, as broad and diverse as the capabilities of human emotion)
Style: Ok yes this is a bit meta, me explaining how to use style to help you construct a writing style. Blame the bendable definitions of the writing world. So just think of this as the face of your writing. The more obvious and apparent part that is unique to you and your personality.
Think cake. Your story is a delicious cake, it is a chocolate, Zelink cake. Now, your style is the way that you present this cake. Pink frosting? Yellow? A full cake or just a slice? Chocolate ice cream cake? Chocolate lava cake? Five tier cake? Cake pops? These possibilities are the infinite ways your style will present the story.
Style, sometimes called voice, is the combination of your use of tone, mood, POV, syntax, diction, and other literary device that you commonly use in your writing. This isn’t something you learn, it’s just something you do naturally when you write. It’s what readers will like about your fics, because they like the way that you use this or that, or the way you describe this thing or that person. It’s something that can change and improve over time, but in essence, it’s what readers can read and identify as you, without even looking at the username.
Style isn’t something you have to remember, per say, like other literary devices, but it is something to be aware of as you should try to keep it consistent through your whole story. Sometimes have people have different writing styles depending on their own mood, or what they’re writing about. That is fine, so long as you keep it consistent through your whole work. A good trick for this is to listen to music that fits with the style of your writing. Use that one catchy love song whenever you’re writing cute headcanons or fluffy one shots. Use that anime opening theme for your adventurous fics and fight scenes. This way, you are keep in a consist atmosphere and your brain will be in the “Oh! It’s time to write ____ stuff!” mood.
So just be aware of when you’re in a descriptive style, a narrative style, argumentative, or whatever style you like using. You style might even derived of the way you already create headcanons!
Theme: This is a big one. Have a cohesive theme can easily bring any story from good to great! I like to think of it as you’re story’s destiny, or reason for existence.
Theme is an outlier for the other elements in that not only is it not necessary for your fic, it is also not necessary for your writing style either. It’s really not necessary... at all. Yet, people always use theme in their writing, even accidentally.
Theme is your story’s underlying message, or lesson. Yes, yes, if you paid attention in your basic English class you probably already knew that, but this is a big pet peeve of mine.
The theme of your story isn’t “true love,” the theme isn’t “innocence”, or “failure”, or “trauma”, or whatever. Theme isn’t a broad idea, it’s a specific question and an answer.
For example: The theme of Breath of the Wild isn’t “exploration” or “time”. The theme is there is always something to seek and find, so long as you have the curiosity and courage to find it. The theme is despite the eternities of time, we still found each other.
Your theme shouldn’t be a broad, one word answer. What about love are you trying to convey? What specifically about failure are you saying?
Theme is the entire reason why the entertainment medium exists, because artist found a way to create something compelling and interesting while also connecting them to real life things.
When you give your reader something to really chew on, even days after they finished reading your fic, then you did a brilliant job. Essentially, you want to use theme in your story because it is what will stick with our readers even years after they’ve read your work.
While that’s all sentimental and sappy, that’s still not your biggest problem, is it? You still need to practice, you still need to learn how to use the things you’ve learned to actually write. So, a summary of what I advise you should do.
Look over and improve your old headcanons, and keep making more! Keep making headcanons and litte prompts, and let them grow bigger and bigger, and more desprictive. This could help you ease into actually writing paragraphs a bit more
Find out what you like to write. Yes, you probably already have a fandom in mind, but think back to those first four elements. What types of plots are you comfortable with, what settings, characters? Genius is only the work of enthusiasm, if you don’t like what you’re going to write, you’ve already failed
Write, write, write. Practice, practice practice. Let yourself write complete and utter garbage and nonesense. Then read it over. See what you don’t like about it. Then change it and write again. I MEAN it when I say you should write garbage. Write a completely terrible, nightmarishly cringe scene. See what you don’t like. Then rewrite it again. Repeat, repeat, repeat. In fact, it doesn’t even have to be a scene or something from your fandom. Let it be your description of a shirt, let is be some cringy poem from 7th grade. Just write and learn how you like to write. It will be so much easier in the long run
Read stuff. The stuff you read usually seeps into how you write. When you get used to reading things a certain way, you usually unconciously try to imitate it when you write. So, got a favourite fic writer? Read their stuff over and maybe even analyze the elements you like (again, think back to those eight elements I talked about) and hey, writers like it when you analyze their stuff so maybe even hit them up and talk? We like book reports we swear, most of us don’t bite.
When you finally think you’re comfortable with your writings, maybe think about what kind of themes you’re into, or what kind of messages you want to say. It doesn’t even need to be that complex. Could be as simple as “I love this ship because it shows that you can still have flaws and be loved” Again, themes are the rEASON for eVERYTHING in the entertainment world
For further demonstration purposes, I’m going to come up with further elements for a hypothetical fic I would write based on that Zelink headcanon. So I’ve got the plot, setting, conflict and theme down. Hmm... I’ll probably use a third person POV as that is what I’m most comfortable with. With third person, I can better highlight the descriptions of Link and Zelda’s surroundings taking in the atmosphere and the aromas and and tastes. The tone will be more happy, focusing on the fun of Zelda and Link’s banter, I’ll try to create a mood in which the reader is laughing along with them, and enjoying the scene. My style will be more descriptive, again with the tastes and smells and other senses of the scene. However, I might go into a more narrative style for Zelda and Link’s banter and dialogue. While typically some people don’t want to use two different styles, I am personally familiar with the styles and know how to write them so as to blend them together more seamlessly. I might have a hint of angst at the end of the fic, as a little climax, given that the setting of the fic is after the defeat of the Calamity. I might through in some themes about how it wasn’t the material power of Hylia or the Master Sword that saved Hyrule, but the courageous and wise bond between Link and Zelda. Then...idk, a little romatic kiss for resolution because this is a fic and I can throw in some fanservice because my writing my rules.
Babam! I just converted a headcanon to a fic.
So yeah, go write your headcanons. Then maybe next a paragraph. Then next a scene, and then you’re well on your way to one-shots and chapter fics. Happy writing and good luck!

Hell is Hot- CH 5 The Announcement
As always tag hell is hot will bring up all the chapters for this. This is my longest and most anticipated chapter so I hope I did it justice for you guys I hope you enjoy it! @kanakalala458 @elizaglad @queenhumanoid @lachicademarcasrojas
I woke up and got ready for school and though yesterday was a lot I was so ready for today. I went downstairs for breakfast and greeted everyone.
“Morning everyone.” I said cheerfully grabbing some toast, egg and taking a seat.
“Morning dearie.” Aunt Hilda said as she was making herself a cup of tea.
“Morning Sabrina, you and Ambrose got in quite late last night.” She said peaking over her newspaper.
“Good morning cousin. I actually have to speak to you in private.” Ambrose said nervously feeling all eyes on him.
“Hold on dearies before you toddle off I have an announcement.” Aunt Hilda says excitedly. “Dr Cee proposed! We’re getting married! Of course we haven’t picked a date or worked out any of the details, but I really wanted to tell you guys. Now that everything with those pesky pagans is over with I can properly tell you all.” She says happy and nervous waiting for a response.
We all look back and forth at each other.
“Aunt Hilda, are you feeling okay? I thought— well I thought Dr Cee was gone.” I said hoping not to upset her.
She started giggling, which ensued more nervous looks between Aunt Zelda, Ambrose and I. “I’m so sorry everyone was so busy last night I forgot to say anything. Dr Cee is quite alright, I just gave him a good fright and wrapped him up for later.”
“What? That’s fantastic news Auntie I’m so happy for you!” I said jumping up to wrap my arms around her.
Aunt Zelda put down her newspaper. “Well while we’re announcing things I supposed I have one as well. I asked Mambo Marie to stay on and help with the academy.”
“Wow, I’m so happy how everything is coming together.” I said cheerfully.
“Oh doll I completely forgot how big of a day this was for you. Are you nervous? Do you want a bit of lavender tea to calm the nerves before you go off for the day?” Aunt Hilda said worrisome.
“Oh no Auntie I’m fine, I’m excited actually. Today is my last final normal day before everything changes. I mean of course I’ll still be going to school here and the academy but I’ll have to take some time off to learn my duties in Hell. I’ll also be moving to hell after my coronation today. I guess I am kind of nervous but I’m just happy everything’s progressing.”  I felt like I was rambling. I mean I was nervous but also excited.
Aunt Hilda started crying.
“Oh auntie don’t cry, everything’s okay.” I said in a soothing voice that quickly turned into a hopeful and worried voice. “”Aunt Z I have one last favor to ask you.”
“What is it Sabrina?” Aunt Zelda said urging me to spit it out.
“I know among midwifery, you can also ordain weddings. Would you be able to marry Caliban and I before the third challenge today?” I said hopeful and very ready to get the third degree instead of a positive response.
Tears begin to brim in Aunt Zelda and Aunt Hilda’s eyes once more.
“I knew you were getting married but I didn’t expect this, of I will Sabrina. You really are finding your own path, just like Edward said.” She said tearfully and determinedly.
“Oh aunties everything’s okay, really. I love you guys. I have to go before I’m late for school. Thank you Aunt Z.” I give them kisses on the cheek before I head out the front door.
On the porch Ambrose stops me as I’m walking away. “Cousin? Can I just steal a moment of your time?” He says worriedly.
“Of course Ambrose, what’s going on?” I said nervously reapproaching him.
He begins to pat his knuckles together looking for words. “So I’m just gonna come right out and say it. I told Nick of your alignment to Caliban. Now— now before you get mad it was an honest accident cousin.”
“What! Ambrose how? What did you say?” I wasn’t as upset as I was coming off and I think that bothered me more than Ambrose actually telling Nick.
“I saw him in the hallway after he left Dorian’s, he was smashed. He was venting about you and Caliban, so I assumed you told him of the alignment and he wasn’t taking it well. I blurted it out, I am truly sorry cousin.” He said sincerely.
“It’s okay, Ambrose” I said brushing off any feelings I had toward the situation.
“Really?” Ambrose said hopeful.
“Yeah, of course. I couldn’t hide it from him forever and it was probably better coming from you. I’m off though I’m gonna be late, I’ll see you later.” I said before teleporting to school so I wasn’t late.
School went by as normal as possible and it was such a relief, but now I had to find a way to tell everyone about the wedding. We were all walking in the halls and I stopped dead in my tracks realizing I couldn’t go any further until I told them.
They turn around with concerned facial expression and my heart sinks.
“Sabrina?” Roz says confused.
I looked down and back up at them, it was so hard to look at them like this. “So I know this is weird and sudden and it’s not a big deal and I’m not making a big deal out of it but will you guys come to my wedding?”
They were very clearly taken aback and I was ready for the blowback.
“Wedding?” Harvey stuttered.
“I mean we knew you were marrying Caliban but we thought it was going to be more of a straightforward political hell sort of thing” Theo says while Harvey’s still in shock.
“I need to marry him before the third challenge so there’s no way the Dark Lord can detest it and we can be coronated together.” I pleaded with hopeful eyes.
“Of course we’ll be there.” Roz said nudging the group with her eyes to be supportive. “When is it?”
I looked around nervously. “I still have to tell Caliban, I came up with the idea this morning at breakfast. We’re going to do it in the woods where I was born around five. Also Roz I hate to ask but can you cover in school for me for a week while I’m in Hell learning my new duties?” I was once again pleading for support.
“Of course—“ Roz starts before Harvey interrupts.
“Wait so now we won’t even see you for a week? ‘Brina are you even coming back?” Harvey says clearly upset.
“Harvey relax, I’ll be back in school in a week. I will come visit during that week but I need to be in Hell to learn my new duties, new powers and see how my alignment with Caliban works. Okay guys I have to go see Caliban, I will see you guys later.” I said walking off in a hurry with my head held high. The emotions of others were beginning to be so much.
*In Hell*
Of course he’s in the library. “Caliban!” I called out to him.
“Hello princess are you ready for the third regalia already?” He said he was pleased to see me while closing his book.
“No actually, I need you.” I said with more urgency than intended.
“Oh my queen I see we decided to indulge in our carnal side I see.” He said smirking down as he closed the gap between us and brought his up to caress my face and neck. I could feel the heat, the blush appearing on my skin.
“No Caliban I need you to come to the mortal realm so we can get married. My Aunt Zelda will perform the ceremony where I was born and signed my name in the Book Of The Beast, an unholy place.” I said determined trying to shake off all the lust coursing through my body.
“Why the changes of plans princess? With such haste might I add. Can’t wait to marry me?” He said in a flirty tone bringing his face close to mine. I could feel the warmth of his body and breath and it took everything in me to keep my composure. I don’t know why I was so infatuated with him. Caliban also just managed to see so intoxicating.
“I want to get married before the third challenge so there is absolutely no way my father can thwart our marriage and covenant. After the ceremony is finished we will head down here to finish the regalia.” I said rushing as if we were out of time. He didn’t seem to mind or worry about my urgency which was sort of relieving.
He walked away without saying anything, to the other end of the library. I stared at him confused as he opened a book, grabbed something from it and walked back.
“Shall we go, my lady” he looked at me as if he could never get tired of the look casted upon my face.
“Wait what did you grab?” I said I was still confused.
“Well I grabbed the rings of course, my queen. It isn’t official without the rings, correct?” He said smiling but it was genuine question but all I could do is admire how beautiful they were. His ring a complete band of black opal and mine a silver band with a beautiful oval fire opal sitting right in the middle.
“Wow Caliban these are beautiful. Wow thank you, this is really really sweet.” I said beaming at him noticing such a genuine smile on his face for maybe the first time, nothing hidden behind it just a genuine smile.
“I’m glad they please you my queen I forged then in the Pits Of Hell, just like your favorite king.” He said winking at me before transporting us to the Spellman house in flames.
When I walked inside I began to speak before I noticed the whole coven was there.
“Hey Aunt Z— what is going on?” I said walking slower and further into the home.
“Well honestly Sabrina you didn’t think we weren’t going to invite the coven to your big, did you? Aunt Hilda has prepared all the food and is in the forest now setting up with Ambrose and the others. We are on our way to bring the remaining items out. You two need to change before the ceremony. Of course I knew you wouldn’t be prepared so I went ahead and got both of you something to wear. Sabrina, dear your dress is in your bedroom hanging on your mirror, your king’s attire is on your bed. Don’t be long we will be ready shortly.”
I stood there in sort of disbelief. I wasn’t trying to make a huge deal out of this but I am not surprised Aunt Zelda did. As they were all walking out Prudence smirked at me and caressed Caliban’s chest as she walked out of the door saying, “Wow Spellman you really upgraded fast.”
I felt a twinge of guilt in the pit of my stomach. I didn’t mean to move on fast. This was supposed to strictly be a political alignment but somehow Caliban and I just continued to get closer and it felt like there was no stopping it. I shook all those thoughts from my head and called after her.
“Prudence!” I yelled running on the porch.
“Yes, Sabrina?” She turned around with a smirk still plastered on her face.
“Will you do me a favor and be my maid of honor and carry the rings for me?” I said promisingly holding the rings out in my hand.
She took them smiling slightly at me, “Of Course Sabrina.” She tried not to sound proud. We both walked off and Caliban and I went to go inside and get ready.
The attire Aunt Z picked out was beautiful. I don’t know how she found the time to get all of this done, I was starting to get excited to see the actual ceremony. The dress was black and lacey. It was long sleeve and cascaded around my body, it had an open back a little train on it. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so beautiful. Aunt Zelda also left me a beautiful crown with the phases of the moon on it to wear.
Caliban walked in after I sent him to the bathroom to get dressed and I tried hard not to let my jaw drop. He wore form fitting black slacks, a silk black button up with a black blazer.
He spoke first, which is good because I couldn’t find words. “My lady, you look ravishing.” He said smiling down on me. It was genuine and beautiful but had a hint of lust behind it like he could devour me whole right there. I swear I swallowed a lump in my throat.
“You don’t look so bad yourself, Caliban. We should probably head over.” I said playing it cool.
“As you wish, my darling” he said grabbing my hand and interlocking our fingers.
The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. The wedding was white with dark accents and worship to Hecate around the altar. The ground was littered in black rose petals which contrasted against the white chairs in which everybody sat. Off to the side there is a whole table full of cake, vegetable pies, tons of sides and a large turkey. Aunt Zelda stood at the altar and called out to Prudence who was off to the side of us to begin. Prudence began bounding Caliban’s and I hands to each other, the ones that were interlocked— in colorful rope braided together. Prudence shooed us down the aisle as Aunt Zelda began reading our vows.
“On this day Hekate we give you praise and honor.
We thank you for all that you have done,
All that you are doing and all that you will do.
May you torches ever shine bright on the path
These two walk as they join in union under your moon.
Thank you dark mother Hekate.”
We walked up to the altar as Aunt Zelda finished the vows. Prudence walked up and joined behind me.
“Sabrina Spellman and Caliban you are bound as one. Do you both take each other as one? Wife and husband? Queen and King?”
“I do” we say in unison.
“Prudence, the rings” Aunt Zelda gestures.
Prudence brings the rings over and with our free hand we place them on each other’s wedding fingers.
“Sabrina here we have the very broom your parents jumped over when they married. By jumping over this broom you will signify the sweeping of old and beginning a new. Beginning a new life, new love, new home and new intercourse.”
My  mouth tried not to drop to the floor as Aunt Zelda talked about jumping the broom symbolizing my new love and new sex life to Caliban.
Caliban and I jump the broom. “Under the Goddess Hekate , thy three-in-one I pronounce Sabrina and Caliban husband and wide.
Aunt Zelda came down from the altar and gave me a sweet embrace. “Congratulations Sabrina.”
I smiled at her. “Thank you Aunt Z.”
“Now everybody come line up and eat.” Aunt Zelda hollered directing everyone to the food table.
“Caliban I’ll be right back.” I said dashing off to see Theo, Roz and Harvey.
I crumpled them into a hug. “Thank you guys for coming.”
“Yeah, wow Sabrina it was amazing. I’m so happy for you, if you're happy.” Roz said
“Yeah I didn’t think it was gonna be like this but you know my Aunt Zelda.” I said laughing.
“I’m proud of you Sabrina just don’t forget about us.” Theo said.
“Oh stop I could never.” I said still sort of giggling.
Harvey wouldn’t even make eye contact with me. Roz nudged him. He sighed. “Yeah I’m really happy for you ‘Brina.”
I pulled him into an embrace. “Thanks Harvey.”
“Listen guys I mainly wanted you to come because now I have to go finish the regalia so I wanted to get all my hugs and byes for now in.” I said pulling them back into an embrace.
“We love you.” Roz and Theo said in unison.
“I love you guys too, I gotta go say bye to everyone else.”
“Beautiful wedding cousin!” Ambrose said stuffing cake in his face.
I just laughed and made my way toward Aunt Hilda and Aunt Zelda. “Thank you guys so much for everything, I love you. I have to go finish the regalia and I promise I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
“Good luck Sabrina.” Aunt Zelda says trying to hold back tears.
“Oh love, I’m so proud of you.” Aunt Hilda says crying and pulling me into a hug.
I walk away and rejoin Caliban. “Okay let’s go back to the house, change our clothes and go finish the regalia.”
“Yours to command, my wife.” He said transporting her back to the house.
We changed into our clothes before the wedding and transported to hell.
*In Hell*
The Infernal court is in session and it seems to be waiting on us.
“My challenger and I are ready for the third challenge in the Unholy Regalia.” I speak strong and clear.
“Ah daughter privy of you to show up. It is time for you to win this challenge and secure the throne for the house of Morningstar.” Lucifer says walking down towards more.
I can feel Caliban wishes to not leave my side but he lingers back and confers with the three kings.
“That prince of clay will never find Judas’ silver.” Lucifer says whispering to Lilith and I.
“What makes you so sure?” I say trying not to sound defensive of my new husband.
“Because Judas himself is the only person who knows where it is and I’m like one person who can take you to Judas.” Lilith cuts him off before he gets ahead of himself.
“Careful Dark Lord Sabrina must complete the task on her own. Any help from you in front of the Kings of Hell and the challenge could be deemed a forfeit.” Lilith says absolutely.
The Dark Lord and I share a conversation only we can hear, telling me where to find Judas Iscariot. When I get there Caliban is already there.
“Ah what took you so long, my lady?” He said getting off a rock he was sitting on.
“Caliban? How did you get here so fast?”
He goes to pull me close to him with my hips. “I have my ways, wife. I’ll show you all in due time.”
“Okay let’s ask Judas where his silver is. I will go retrieve it, wait here for me. When I get back I will leave first and once I announce our alignment follow in.” I say determined.
“Darling there’s no need. There are two way to get Judas’s silver. One, by betraying someone you love with a kiss or two by seeking it out.” He says knowingly and proudly.
“Well the first one isn’t going to work so where do I go to seek it out?” I feel like I should know this since he does.
“Judas’s silver is buried in a crypt with the first vampire, deep beneath the Field of Blood.”
“Okay, if you tell me I’m about to meet Dracula—“ I begin before Caliban interrupts knowingly.
“No, his name is Vlad the Impaler. The pieces are in a bag at his side. Open a portal to his tomb.” Caliban said. “Be careful Sabrina, I’ll be waiting.”
I make it to his tomb and find the silver clasped in his hands, I walk away and begin to count it.
“Listen to my voice. Hear my words. Your thoughts and your will belong to me, and only me, now. Say you understand.” Vlad speaks.
“I understand.” My mouth speaks with no will.
“Did my father send you?”
“No… Judas did.”
“Judas is my father. The father of vampires. What’s your name, girl?”
“Sabrina.”
“You’re very beautiful, Sabrina. Say thank you.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re going to let me drink your blood and feast on your flesh, aren't you?”
“Of course.” I continue to speak with no will.
“That’s a good girl.” Vlad begins to move my hair away from my neck “Your neck is so very… very…” he sinks his teeth into my neck. Vlad bellows and I am out of his spell.
“Your blood! It burns!” He screams out. “You’re a celestial?” He says falling onto his back.
“My father was an angel. I have his blood. Also? Consent. It’s real.” I kick Vlad and walk off .
I got back to Judas Iscariot and Caliban is still waiting for me. “Hey I got it! Let’s head back.”
*Back in Court*
I walked in and up to the throne. “The challenge has been won. The third challenge of the Unholy Regalia is mine.”
“Congratulations daughter, you bring honor to your house. It is time once again for your coronation. Are you at last ready?” Lucifer speaker while the court murmurs.
“I am but I must address the court first.” I stand front and center to address the court. “I will not be coronated alone. My challenger Caliban—“ Caliban enters and walks to join me up near the throne. “—and I have signed and covenant and wed. We will be coronated together as King and Queen of Hell.”
The Kings start shouting and cheering as the court murmurs get louder.
“What?” Lucifer and Lilith say in unison.
“Daughter, I will not allow this.” Lucifer whispers to me.
“Dark Lord let me speak with her for a moment.” Lilith pulls me to the side. “Sabrina, I was your regent how could you not discuss this with me?” Lilith was genuinely hurt. “The Dark Lord will have no use for me if you have a long standing kingdom and children of your own.” And genuinely scared.
“Kids? Lilith I am 17 I am not thinking about children right now. I am thinking about balancing the realms. Don’t worry Lilith I am queen now, I will not let my father harm you. I need you. I know we’ve had a rocky relationship but I’ve appreciated all the help along the way.” I speak genuinely feeling bad for overlooking her feelings so many times.
“Sabrina you don’t understand. Lucifer can not be fought.” Lilith said scared to be heard by the Dark Lord.
“I am queen now. I won the Unholy Regalia and even he can’t cross that. What I say is law and he will abide or I will find another Acheron to hold him. Let’s go back up there.” I speak boldly.
“Sabrina this is unheard of. I will not allow this. Morningstar’s do not marry. If you wish to have a sex pet that is fine but we do not marry our whores.” Lilith winces hearing how my father speaks of her.
“Father he is not my pet or my whore. You do not have to allow this. I won the Unholy Regalia and I am Queen of Hell. I will not stand for disrespect of me, my choices, Caliban or Lilith. She is much more than what you make her out to be and I will continue to need her guidance, so you will respect her while I am on the throne.” I speak with so much pride in my voice.
I turn to address Lilith, “Can you please prepare Caliban and I for our coronation?”
Lilith grins. “I will get you ready, my queen. I will have others get Caliban ready.”
“Thank you, Lilith. You are relieved as your duty of regent and you don’t have to call me Queen.” I said smiling as I walked down to follow her to prepare for my coronation.

this has been in my drafts for 7 MONTHS!! I'm sorry also not proofread lol
Tumblr media
A lot of the things you knew about your boyfriend where things he told you himself, like his favorite color or his grandma’s name. He loved to tell you every little detail of his day, from the fact his socks were inside out to the weird LARPer group he’d seen on the way to class. He’d told you about his love for soccer and his first crush and the last movie he saw and how he liked his phone beneath his pillow. Yukhei literally told you absolutely everything about himself.
There’s two things Yukhei’s never directly told you.
The first was something you’re sure Yukhei isn’t exactly aware of himself, and that was the ridiculously Casanova persona he took on when he was high. Of course, you knew firsthand about this Yukhei. His playful expression would fade away, until he was all molten gazes and wandering hands, sneaking beneath your skirt after he’d cornered you against some frat house’s kitchen. Breathy laughs, plush lips pressed against your jaw in some sort of twisted game to see if he could make you come in front of all those people, pressing his wonderfully hidden cock against your hip until you begged him to go home.
With a little bit of weed, Yukhei became an absolutely delectable man, and you’re not the only one who’s noticed.
Which leads you to the second piece of information Yukhei’s never told you, and that was the existence of one very clingy girl. Her name was Rohei, an accounting major in the same year as Yukhei. She was pretty and nice, and everyone seemed to like her, which somehow made her entitled to your boyfriend.  How ridiculous.
You’re not sure when exactly she’d become such a blip in your radar, or when she even started hanging around him. Yukhei never mentioned her, so for a while, you ignored her.
That is until she started showing up to your sessions, all giggly and annoying as she tried to squish herself beside Yukhei. Even then you’d given her the benefit of the doubt, knowing you were also, quite frankly, an annoying person when you were high. The smoke made a lot of things foggy, but her hand resting on his thigh was as clear as day.
After that, you’d warned Yukhei against seeing the home wrecker, citing your own personal girl instincts as the only solid reason you had against disliking her, not that Yukhei particularly cared. The first time you mentioned her had confused the fuck out of him, and it only took about five minutes of physical descriptions for him to realize exactly who you were talking about.
“Oh,” he sighed, pausing his game of Zelda to glance over at you. “The girl with the Windex bottle laugh?”
You snorted, giving his side a gentle shove with your foot. “Yeah, that girl,” you said. You abandoned your phone in favor of meeting his gaze. He’d invited you over fresh out of his shower, his hair wonderfully fluffed up and soft. God, was he attractive. As if sensing your sudden shift, he wrapped one huge hand around your ankle, tugging you down the bed and towards him.
“Don’t worry, baby,” he crooned, ducking down to brush his lips over yours. You let an airy moan escape you, sliding a hand around his neck to pull him closer. He grinned something wicked against your lips, game abandoned as he slotted himself against you. “You’re my girl.”
It wasn’t that you didn’t trust Yukhei—no, if anything, you trusted him too much. The real issue was that you didn’t trust these other bitches. Yukhei could flaunt your relationship as much as he wanted, could walk around with your name across his chest, but that wouldn’t stop mean and desperate girls from throwing themselves at him. They’d use any chance they’d get to entice him, which is exactly why you’d begged him not to go smoke with his friends one night.
“Are you serious?” He asked, halfway through tugging his hoodie over his head. After an enjoyable evening tangled in the sheets with you, his best friend in the entire world, Mark Lee, had invited him out to smoke. ‘With the usual gang,’ had been his words, and Yukhei being the pothead that he was, instantly agreed.
You sighed, tugging the sheets to your chest as you sat up. “Well, is she gonna be there?” You grumbled, not trying to hide your annoyance that well. Yukhei blinked.
“Are you talking about that girl again?” You pursed your lips, avoiding his gaze. Yukhei snorted, and you yelped as he flopped back down on the bed to envelope you in his arms. “Baby, I’m crazy about you, you know that?”
You rolled your eyes, covering your face with your hands, as if he hadn’t seen you completely naked fifteen minutes before. “I know,” you sighed, though it came out more like a whine. “But she wants to fuck you! I know she does.”
Yukhei ignores you, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck. Begrudgingly, you wrap your arms around his soft form, the pout on your face slowly fading. It’s the sweet and romantic side of him, the one he usually hides from his friends, that melts your resolve. A sudden nip at your collarbone brings you out of your rosy vision.
“Babe, stooop,” you whine, your inner Sammi from Jersey Shore jumping out. “My calves still hurt.”
“Chiiiill,” he murmurs against the skin of your neck, plush lips caressing the skin. With each soft kitten lick he gives, you feel yourself slowly melt into the mattress below you. “Lemme take care of you,” he proposes, and as much as you want to protest, the hand that snakes its way between the two of you sucks the words from your mouth.
“S-Sensitive,” you say instead, head lolling onto the pillows as Yukhei’s deft fingers rub small circles against your clit. He hums against your skin, carefully taking note of each tremble your thighs give, and the gasps that catch in your throat.
After he’s done ravishing your throat and your orgasm is creeping up on you for the second time that night, he juts his chin up to meet your gaze. “You did so well tonight, baby,” he praises right before he slots his mouth against yours. “Rode me so good, fuck, you looked so pretty for me.” You reminisce on the grueling work out riding your boyfriend had been, the guiding hands on your waist the only help he’d provided.
Another whimper escapes you, right before Yukhei does his signature move (the one he’d claimed about a week ago), which was slowing down all movements, letting your orgasm build, before giving your clit one final flick that sent you crashing through your own bliss.
After you’ve received your second orgasm of the night, and you’re feeling especially pampered, Yukhei kisses you on the lips sweetly and scampers off to meet his friends.
Afterwards, you’re feeling a little bad about trying to limit his outings because of your own raging jealousy. Yukhei was your boyfriend, but that didn’t mean you had to keep an iron grip on him. He was his own free person; a goofy soul who needed social interaction more than others. For you to keep him on a leash because of some unproven theory was wrong.
You’re still feeling pretty sour, but that all changes when you do your usual nightly Snapchat sweep. Your swiping through snaps of your classmates and friends, crying over projects or complaining about jobs, when the one and only Mark Lee’s story pops up next. Nothing unusual, just him blowing smoke into the camera while some cheesy RnB music plays on the radio of someone’s car. In fact, everything’s fine until you click right, and are met with a three second snap of a particular group shot, the entire right side of the camera frame taken up by Yukhei’s lean figure and one scheming Rohei wrapped around him.
You click your phone off, calmly set it to the side, and fall asleep.
Tumblr media
You don’t mention it to Yukhei. For some reason, there’s this annoying voice in the back of your head telling you Yukhei should tell you on his own. After all, you had been having an internal battle on whether you were too protective or not, and going off on him for something that could just be a minor instance would only prove that.
There’s another big frat party this weekend, and though you usually go with your friends, Yukhei invites you to come with him this time. You can’t say no, especially with the way half of his smile gets hidden by the pillow he’s pressed into. He looks so soft and sweet, you find yourself peppering him in kisses as you agree.
You don a pretty dress you’d bought that week, a tight little number that accentuates your figure. Right as you bend over to strap your heels into place, you hear a low whistle from the bathroom door.
“Baby,” Yukhei whines, hands slowly gliding around your waist from behind. “You’re gonna be the death of me,” he huffs, nose pressed against the side of your head. You giggle, leaning back to meet his dark gaze. As if the wolf whistle wasn’t enough, he adds, “I’m gonna bend you over and fuck that pretty little pussy.”
Your jaw drops open, and you playfully slap his hands away. “Yukhei!” You scold, strutting across the room to grab your cell phone and his keys. You ignore his gaze as you go about collecting yourself, and when you’re waiting for him at the door, you say, “who says I’m gonna let you?”
The night goes similarly to that encounter, Yukhei’s eyes trailing you wherever you go. It’s like he refuses to look away from you, from the way your hips sway to the music and the way your collarbones glisten with the thinnest sheen of sweat. Even when he’s settled down in the den for a quick session with his boys, his eyes find their way back to where you’re chattering with your friends right outside the door.
With each hit, his dark eyes become hazier and hazier. But he also becomes bolder and bolder, sinful pink tongue swiping across his lips as he eye fucks you for the entire world to see. Your friends giggle at your boyfriend’s behavior, and then scramble away when they see his tall figure come swaggering towards the doorway. You presume they’re done with their session for now, everyone parting ways.
“You come here often?” He croons, and your lips press together in an effort to hold back the ridiculously dopey smile threatening to take over your features.
“Every now and then,” you respond, easily falling into his little game. It ends up consisting of him babbling out every pick-up line he knows until you’re giggling and falling into him. He’s not exempt from the goofy smile you wear, staring down at you as if you’ve hung the stars in the night sky.
After a particularly corny comment, he leans down and accidentally knocks your foreheads together. “Come back to my place, baby. I promise I can treat you better than anyone ever has.” Cherry ready lips ghost over your own.
You hum in response, dizzy from your boyfriend’s flirty behavior. “I don’t know,” you joke, tilting your head up slightly, enough so that you upper lip brushes against his. “My boyfriend wouldn’t like that.”
“Smart guy,” he says, and you roll your eyes. “Seriously, though,” he says, suddenly more sober than he’s been in the past few hours. “I told you I was gonna fuck your pretty little brains out tonight, remember?”
His vulgarity strikes a chord within you, and you find yourself pressing your legs together. But Yukhei is nothing if not observant, his hands tracing down your side until it’s snaked its way around to rest upon the swell of your ass. He knows he’s already won you over for the night, so he presses a quick kiss to you lips before scampering off to tell his friends he’s off. Nows as good a time as ever for you to do the same.
You nonchalantly stride back over towards where all your friends have congregated this time, telling them you’ve decided to turn in for the night. Them being your friends obviously know that you’re not heading home to sleep, but rather to get fucked into another dimension. You don’t deny nor confirm their claims, instead leaving them with a coy smile that has them up in hoots as you walk away.
Normally, Yukhei is able to find you in a crowed party easily enough—being tall has its undeniable perks—so you’ve never really been the one searching around for him. But you remember his current state, how he’d stumbled over his words and how his long legs seemed to be working of their own accord tonight. You decide the safest option is to find him yourself, because a high Yukhei tends to have the attention span of a child.
It doesn’t take long to find the group of guys he’s usually around, Mark Lee’s newly dyed blonde hair particularly standing out to you. They all greet you in the polite way that is customary for a fellow bro’s girlfriend, and you do the same. You turn towards Mark, “where’s Yukhei?”
Mark’s brows furrow together in confusion. “He said he was gonna look for you, actually,” he answers, and you find yourself as confused as him.
“When was this exactly?” You press, a weird feeling settling in your gut.
Mark’s lips quirk to the side, eyes drifting around the kitchen as he seems to try to recall when he’d last seen your boyfriend. In the end, he can only offer you a half-assed shrug and an unsure, “ten minutes ago?”
You end up thanking Mark, as well as bidding him adieu, before continuing your search for Yukhei. As you’d mentioned before, he rarely had trouble finding you in crowded areas, always gravitating towards you like a magnet. It was weird that it’d taken him this long, even weirder if he’d actually been stoned enough to have forgotten or strayed away.
You pass by the beautiful oak study built into this frat house, and almost completely dismiss it had you not caught sight of sudden movement inside. Gently, you push open the glass paneled doors, eyes slowly adjusting to the dark room.
“Baby,” you hear your boyfriend say. You sigh in relief, thanking god that Yukhei wasn’t lost, just dumb. You glance around for a light switch, only for your eyes to stumble upon the frame of one very out of place figure. Your brow twitches, and had you not been sheathed in darkness, you’re sure she would have seen the way your entire expression changed.
A movement to her left finally alerts you of where Yukhei is in this dark room, and you don’t hesitate to make your way towards him. Suddenly, you have the vision of the stealthiest nightcrawler as you absorb every detail of this situation.
The first one is Rohei’s frame, curled up beside Yukhei far enough that she isn’t touching him but close enough she can probably see the swell of his plush upper lip. The second is the vulnerable state of Yukhei’s body, a dab pen clutched between his fingers that definitely isn't his. The third and most telling factor has to be the annoyed expression on her face, similar to your own.
Oh this bitch was definitely up to something.
“Babe,” you say, calmer than a retail employee dealing with a stuck-up customer, “we’re supposed to be leaving.”
Yukhei nods, fast and cute like a puppy, but these circumstances make you want to strangle him. “Of course of course, baby, Rohei was just telling me about this new pen flavor!” As if on cue, Rohei smiles sweetly at you, curling just the slightest bit closer to your boyfriend. “I know you really like the watermelon one, so I was wondering if she knew any other good fruity ones.”
You flash her the fakest smile you can muster, and in his state, Yukhei doesn’t seem to notice. “That’s nice,” you play along, eyes burning into her like laser beams. “But I’d really like to get going before it gets darker out.” You tug Yukhei’s arm, his body following you to rise off the couch.
Right before his ass can leave the cushion, there’s a sudden force being exerted on his other side that has him falling backwards. Your eyes widen, but then narrow into slits when you finally see what had stopped him from leaving with you. Your met with two perfectly manicured hands wrapped around his forearm, attached to the same girl you told Yukhei you didn’t trust.
“But we were just beginning to talk!” she whines, flashing you an innocent pout that lets you know she knows exactly what she’s doing. You feel your insides boil. “We were having a good little chat, weren’t we, Lu?”
“Lu?” You humph, eyes flickering between her face and Yukhei’s.
He shrugs, too dazed by the lights sweeping through the open door to really focus on the situation at hand. “She calls me by my American name, baby, remember it?” He beams, not at either of you, but at some invisible object in the air only he seems to be aware of.
“Yes,” you seethe, “That’s nice and all, but wouldn’t your talk be better when you can actually remember it?” You try, hand gliding from his wrist to his palm to tangle your fingers together. “Let’s get you home now.”
She scoffs, not releasing her grip on his forearm even the slightest bit. “Don’t be a prude, ___,” she spits, “he’s having a good time with me right now, can’t you see.”
Your eyebrows raise at her sudden and rude comment, and you find yourself providing a quick rebuttal. “He’s having a good time because he’s high right now, you’re not that special.”
“Really now,” she laughs, every bit of malicious intent in her tone. “I’m sure that’s why he always goes out of his way to sit next to me during rotations, right?”
You roll your eyes. “Probably because you take weak, short ass hits, and he knows that.”
"Not because he knows my mouth was there already?” She fights back. “You know my lip gloss looks real cute on him when he goes after me.”
The fact irks you, and you add it to the list of questioning you need to do later. For now, you’re not about to lose to this girl. “I don’t really care if he sits by you, honey,” you reply, finally gathering enough strength to pull Yukhei off and away from her. “Just know that those same lips that hit the blunt right before you are the same ones that ate my pussy twenty minutes earlier,” you smirk, watching as first the shock and then the humiliation washes over her face.
You throw Yukhei’s arm over you shoulder, staggering towards the doorway as you leave a stunned Rohei behind. “And another thing,” you call out, not even bothering to look at her. “Stop going after my fucking boyfriend.”
As you and Yukhei stumble out of the house, leaving the loud music, alcohol, and weed behind, you realize how warm your face had become during the verbal altercation, turning the air on full blast once you get inside Yukhei’s car. He says nothing as he settles in the passenger seat, letting you drive the short distance to the student apartment he’d been assigned at the beginning of his junior year.
You’re pulling up on the club when he finally regains power over his tongue.
“Mean,” he mumbles as you guide him up the stairs until you reach the third floor.
“Huh?” You say, unlocking his door and ushering him inside. You abandon your shoes by the door, keeping note of his whereabouts as he stumbles around his home. He ultimately crashes on the couch, staring at you with glazed over, red eyes.
“That was mean,” he repeats, and you raise an eyebrow in confusion. He elaborates. “You didn’t have to be so mean towards Rohei,” he yawns, tugging a throw pillow onto his chest to hug. “She was just being nice, s’all.”
You blink.
The anger you’d felt towards Rohei seemed overwhelming to you when you encountered her, but it was nothing but a candle flame to the sheer amount of fury that enveloped you now. “Being nice?” You calmly repeat, and Yukhei nods. “Oh, so taking your high as fuck ass to an empty room during a party is being nice now? Flirting with you and touching you in front of my face—that’s being nice?” You splutter.
“Chill out,” Yukhei huffs, sitting up in the slowest manner possible. “We were just smoking,” he mumbles, flashing you an unimpressed glare.
You snort, tossing his keys on the coffee table to cross your arms over your chest. “Yeah, I know. She loved telling me how her lip gloss looks on you, Yukhei.”
If he wasn’t upset before, he definitely was now as he sits up on the sofa. “Come on now,” he snaps, “you know better than anyone how your little lip gloss sticks to the paper, don’t act stupid now, ____.”
Something snaps inside you, and you whirl directly to face him in anger. “Don’t fucking call me stupid when I’m rightfully mad at you for flirting with other girls.”
“Rightfully, my ass,” he retorts, tugging his jacket off to throw it over the couch. “She was right, you’re a fuckin’ prude.”
It’s as if every single alarm goes off in your head, eyes narrowed in absolute fury (though it doesn’t stop the water from collecting on your waterline). “If you agree with her so much, then why don’t you invite her over and fuck her brains out tonight, Yukhei,” you spit.
He rolls his eyes, “maybe I fucking should. Probably fucks better than you anyway.”
“You’re such a fucking asshole,” you rasp out, hands balling into fists beside you.
Yukhei simply flops back onto the sofa, ignoring you even as you stomp back to the entryway with tears in your eyes to put your shoes on. If he says anything  else, you don’t hear it past the thudding of your heart in your throat or the slam of the door behind you.
There’s not much for you to do then other than stomp your way home in the dark and cold of night, tears blurring your vision on the entire trek back. It’s only as your swiping your ID to unlock the building that you realize you’d left your phone at Yukhei’s, but you’re feeling too humiliated to go back. You settle on washing your makeup off, and tugging your favorite loungewear on (of course, it’s just a pair of shorts and Yukhei’s t-shirt) before moping all night.
Tumblr media
There’s a knock on your door early the next morning that rouses you from what was probably the deepest slumber you’d had in months. It has you shaking the drowsiness away as you try to remember what awoke you in the first place. The knocking continues and you lazily slump off the bed and stumble towards the door.
There’s a devastatingly handsome man at the door, nothing like his high counterpart that had left you a sobbing mess last night, presenting you with your forgotten phone and an apologetic frown.
“Hey,” Yukhei murmurs, and you sniff in response, too tired and sleepy to greet him back. “I brought you your phone,” he says, as if you hadn’t already noticed. You snatch it out of his hand. “And I just wanted to—”
You let the door shut in his face, and for a moment all is silent. A second later, and your heart is fluttering wildly in your chest again, the same overwhelming sense of heartbreak you’d dealt with all last night taking a hold of you again. At the same time, the knob begins rattling like crazy, your boyfriend’s desperate voice breaching through the door.
“Baby, please, I didn’t mean anything last night,” he pleads, the raw emotion noticeable even through the wooden door. “I was high and so fucking stupid, and I know that’s not an excuse but I-I didn’t mean any of it, please,” he begs, and a soft thud against the door leaves you wondering if he’s leaning on it.
You can feel your heart thundering in your chest, every shaky inhale leaving your throat feeling more and more constricted. It doesn’t take long for your eyes to well up with yesterday’s leftover tears, but you’ll be damned if this dumb ass makes you cry two days in a row.
Another soft knock pulls you out of the deep hole you’ve dug within yourself. “Please,” Yukhei rasps out, voice oh so vulnerable, “just open the door, baby.”
You tug the door open, narrowing him with the most furious glare you can muster through your watery gaze. “Don’t call me that,” you spit, and you hope he can see how hurt he’s left you.
“___...” he says, slowly reaching a hand out towards you, one you brush away before turning to head further into your dorm. You plop down on the edge of your bed, turning your phone on to see it’s down to the last quarter of its battery. Yukhei shuffles in, shutting the door behind him before awkwardly hovering over you.
He doesn’t say much, just plops down on the perfectly made bunk across from you (your roommate has been gone abroad all semester). You start toying around on your phone, watching from the corner of your eye as he plays with the ruby red comforter beneath him, all the while sneakily glancing your way, almost as if he’s unsure if he can even do as much.
After a couple minutes of awkward silence, you decide to face your fears head on. “So how was Rohei last night?” You murmur, eyes zeroing in on your fuzzy sock-clad toes. Yukhei lets out a harsh exhale, and when you glance up at him, he meets your glare head on.
“Baby,” he says, soft and slow, in that same tone he uses when he thinks he’s right and he won’t leave until you say otherwise. “I didn’t mean what I said last night, and you know it. I was way out of it and—”
“Shut up,” you spit, unable to contain the annoyance from curling around your voice. “Just say you’re fucking sorry instead of trying to blame this on everything else, Yukhei.”
He blinks, doe eyes comically wide as he takes in your sudden outburst. You take his silence as a sign to continue. “Stop trying to say it was because you were high or drunk or whatever the fuck you were and just say it like it is.” Your chest heaves as a huff escapes you.
“Calm down,” he says when he regains his wits, “you know better than anyone that I would never say that to you normally, I was just really faded and shocked from all the yelling you were doing.”
“That doesn’t matter, Yukhei!” You burst, hands flailing as the frustration builds inside of you. “You said it, which means you obviously thought it before—”
“I didn’t!” He counters, voice as loud as yours. “It slipped out in the heat of the moment, it was an accid—”
“Oh, everything you said was by accident then? Calling me stupid and a prude? That was all just an accident?”
“It fucking was! Don’t act like you’re not the same way when you’re high. You let any and every guy hang off of you, but suddenly the one time I do it it’s a problem?” He snorts, brows furrowed dangerously close.
You scoff, your chest feeling tighter and tighter with each passing second. “Don’t you dare turn this on me, Yukhei, because I’ve never said I’d rather be with someone else,” you spit, your words seemingly slowing his defensive attacks. Your traitorous eyes flood with tears. “High or no—,” you mean to end with, but your voice cracks as a sob escapes through your throat.
You look away in shame, covering your face with your hand. It takes everything in you to stop your frame from shaking because you know he’s watching you with those big sad eyes of his.
You’ve always been unnecessarily weak when it came to Yukhei, his smile just too bright for your heart and the way he’d softly call out baby making every bone in your body weak. You were too much of a pushover, always won over by his charming words and his talented fingers. Even now, as you feel the bed dip beside you, you don’t hesitate to throw yourself into his arms and let your sobs overtake you.
His hand rubs against your back as he softly shushes you, murmuring, “I’m sorry,” over and over into your hair. You cry out all the tears from last night and then some. Faintly, from your spot pressed against his chest, you can hear the thundering of his heartbeat and know it matches your own. His fingers continue their dance over your skin, gently massaging your scalp before tracing along your spine, ever so softly and gently.
“I’m sorry,” he says when your sobs have been reduced to sniffles. “I was stupid, and should have thought about what I said before I said it.” He pauses, and you pull away from your safe spot nestled in his arms to meet his forlorn gaze. “Honestly, I think I was just trying to say whatever I could to hurt you,” he admits, his glazed eyes looking down. The tip of his nose is red and you know it’s taking everything in him to not cry with you.
Your soft spot for Yukhei is nothing compared to the weakness he has for you.
He repeats his apology a third time, ducking his head to bump your foreheads together, eyes fluttering shut as he takes in your presence. You sniffle once more before tilting closer to brush your mouth against his. The shaky exhale he releases against you has you melting into his embrace, the fingers that had been clutching to his biceps for dear life, slowly relaxing.
He gently eases you onto your bed, lips departing from yours to trail down your neck, pressing his knee between your spread thighs. One of his hands glides from its position on your shoulder to cradle the underside of your thigh, tugging it upwards until you’ve thrown it around his waist. The gesture has your bodies pressing closer, cores aligned.
“You don’t have to,” you murmur when you feel his cold fingers creep beneath your top, dancing along your skin.
He presses a peck to your collarbone. “I do,” he responds, and you jump when his fingers brush against the underside of your breast. “Have to show you how much I love you.”
Your heart swells, and you find your hands reaching up to tangle in his dark brown locks, the pretty blonde color he’d had when you first met now completely gone. The memory has you thinking back even further in time, to your lazy days spent working the movie theater over the summer, when he’d been just a silly work crush, to the first time you’d hung out and he taught you how to smoke. The rose-tinted glasses in which you view all these memories with him has you murmuring out the words back to him.
He wastes no time tugging your little shorts off, leaving you clad in just heart-patterned undies that have Yukhei muffling a snort into your shoulder. “You’re so fucking cute, baby,” he croons, letting one lone finger trace along your slit.
You whimper, thighs quivering as you watch him tease and toy with you until you’re begging him to fuck you already. “But you’re not stretche-”
“Please,” you whine, cupping his cheeks in your palms, “I need you so bad.”
He caves without much of a fight, leaning back onto his haunches to tug himself out of his grey sweatpants. The sight of his slowly plumping cock has you salivating like a dog, and before he leans over you again, you press a palm to his chest.
He blinks, big brown eyes staring at you in confusion. “What?” You pinch the fabric of his shirt between two fingers, pulling it back, before letting it fall into place again. Yukhei snorts, “oh,” and with one hand, tugs his shirt over his head. The movement gives you a delicious view of his muscles in action, and you feel yourself grow impossibly wetter.
With the material finally out of the way, he reaches down to tug your panties to the side, giving him the perfect view of your throbbing center. He doesn’t bother to line himself up, just grabs his cock in his hand before plunging it where he knows it should go. He doesn’t waste any time, bottoming out in the first go.
Your toes curl, hands wildly gripping onto whatever they can—the pillow, the comforter, his hair—until they settle on digging into his shoulders. He grinds his hips, leaning down to place his palms on the bed on either side of your head. You proximity allows you to wrap your arms around his neck, but you also use it to press a soft kiss to his jaw.
“Fuck,” he grunts, finally pulling his hips back until only the head of his dick is sheathed inside you. He stays like that for a second, before thrusting back in full force. “You’re so perfect, baby,” he tells you, repeating the action over and over again. “I don’t know what I’d do with myself if I ever lost you.”
You moan, nails digging into the flexing muscles of his shoulders. You choke out another moan, his speed picking up and rendering you speechless afterwards. A particular hard thrust has you groaning in pleasure, a hoarse shout of “fuck!” leaving your lips.
Yukhei huffs, hot breath fanning across your face. “You like that?” He taunts, snapping his hips forward, clapping his skin against yours. You nod, hands falling limp as they slide off his shoulders. “Tell me how much you like it, baby.”
Your tongue feels heavy inside your mouth as you struggle to find the words. The drag of his cock against your pussy walls making you draw a blank. “I-I-I love it,” you gasp, the hands that slid off his form a moment ago limply wrapping around his waist. Your head rolls to the left, and you press a chaste kiss to his wrist. “Fuuuck,” you whimper, eyes squeezing shut at the pleasure enveloping you. “Yu-Yukhei,” you cry, though he doesn’t slow down to hear you. “I love you,” you babble, and then say it another two times for good measure.
He huffs out a chuckle at your mindless state, finally slowing his hips. He begins gently rocking against you, one hand snaking down to toy with your clit. You cry out again, every part of your being feeling so sensitive. “I love you too, baby,” he murmurs, the tip of his pointer finger tracing circles around your clit. Right as you’re about to climax, he pulls that goofy signature move of his and halts everything, letting you hang of the precipice before giving your clit one final caress.
Your orgasm has you babbling even more nonsense, from how much you love him to how good he fucks, to a randomly thrown in “and fuck you, rohei” that has him smiling against your jawline where he’s been pressing kisses.
Your body feels featherlight afterwards, and you almost fall asleep had Yukhei not begin shallowly thrusting in you again. You’re reminded of his pleasure, and you reach a hand up to cradle his face as he continues rutting against you. “So good, baby,” you purr, eyes hazy with love and euphoria as you watch him. He smirks at the usage of your pet name against him, turning his head to press a kiss to your palm.
“You’re usually not a—a dirty talker,” he mumbles, looking away from you for a second to watch how his length plunges into your dripping hole.
“I can be,” you murmur, you thighs twitching as a result of your oversensitivity. “For you.”
Yukhei snorts. “Yeah?” You nod. “Talk me through it then, baby,” he teases.
You bite your lip in an attempt to contain a smile, but it still shines through. “Anything for you, baby,” you play along, finally letting go of his face to trace your hand down his abdomen, until it’s rested right above his pelvis. “You really outdid yourself this time,” you murmur, watching how his dick disappears inside of you. “You love fucking me when I cry, don’t you?”
“You know it, baby,” he responds, flashing you that wicked smirk of his.
Your laugh trails off into a light moan, and you can’t tell if the wetness you feel is from your own come or a new wave of arousal. “Ugh, I can’t,” you whine, your resolve weakening as you watch him shallowly thrust into you. Your boyfriend laughs, tightens his grip on your waist, and then pushes further in. Your eyes roll back, but you snap them open when you catch sight of your stomach.
Something pokes up through your skin, and aside from the initial fear and confusion that’d caused your eyes to fly wide open, your entire body tingles anew when you realize it’s Yukhei’s huge cock bulging through your skin.
“Fuck, baby,” your traitorous tongue starts, eyes hazy as you watch him move beneath your skin. “You’re so fucking big you can see it.”
If you were surprised, Yukhei is completely awestruck at the sight, his body moving as if under a trance as he watches the way his cock makes your skin bulge. Right before you can start babbling like a dumb ass, Yukhei reaches his hand down to cup over your mouth. “Just shut up for a second,” he warns, and suddenly, begins picking up his pace at the same angle.
Each thrust has his cock pushing up into your tummy, and you moan and whine under his hand as your second orgasm builds inside of you. “Jesus, fuck,” Yukhei spits, eyes wild as he fucks for himself, completely disregarding you. “Look at my fucking cock inside of you.”
His hand stays firmly clamped over your mouth, your only airway available being your nose, so you find yourself huffing and gasping for breath. Yukhei doesn’t notice, his movements growing sloppier and more out of rhythm the closer he gets to his own orgasm, until finally he lets you go. He doesn’t give you a second to catch your breath though, as he shoves his tongue down your throat.
Suddenly, he freezes, and you can feel his hot seed coating your walls as he groans into your mouth. The sensation of your pussy being so deliciously full of both your pleasures has something inside you snapping, and a second wave of euphoria crashes over you. Your toes curl, and his name falls from your mouth like a mantra, before eventually the both of you fall numb and silent.
You regain your wits first, reaching a hand up to gently card at his hair, humming a tune as he catches his breath. You think he’s fallen asleep, when suddenly he leans back to look at your worn out features, and says, “did you see my cock, baby?”
You snort, and push his face away from you, much to his amusement. “Yeah, I felt it,” you murmur, and hiss when he pulls out of you, momentarily staring at your overflowing and abused hole.
He groans at the sight. “God, I can't wait to get you pregnant.”
“What?!”

this is an ask based thingy but im really in the mood to infodump so im just gonna answer them all under the cut !
Favorite video game?
starting off with the absolute hardest question huh? i can’t possibly name ONE favorite game of mine because i adore my favorites for many different reasons. my overall favorite video game is ffxv or botw. ffxv because it has brought me so much joy for such a long time, and because i have such a connection with the characters. botw because i was actually in the fandom when it first got announced in 2016 so i got to be there when the hype was at an all time high– and finally being able to play the game after waiting for so long was an unforgettable experience. i have more favorite games but ill talk more about them in the ‘’special place in ur heart’’ question.
First console you owned?
my first console wasn’t a console. my friend and i used to play on her nintendo dsi all the time and at one point tiny little me reeeally wanted one of my own so i saved up and got one in [redacted] when i was 7. my first actual console was a wii though, we got that around the same time.
A game that holds a special place in your heart?
ffxv and botw mean the absolute world to me, but super mario galaxy and skyward sword are very important to me too. skyward sword is the game that got me into zelda which got me into anime which got me into final fantasy etc etc etc.  super mario galaxy was the first non-mini game collection and more adventure story-ish game i played. i was so proud when i beat it for the first time and mario was my first ever ‘’fandom’’ :’)
Favorite video game character?
bro. i cant pick just one so i’ll choose one per game : prompto, ryuji and link. they were all my comfort characters at some point and i projected like crazy onto them. this doesnt mean that i wouldnt absolutely die for noct or zelda.
Least favorite video game character?
i dont think theres anyone i distinctly dislike? i always talk about hating ardyn but that’s because he’s just a salty bitch. as a character i think he’s a great villain and i rly love him. i honestly always end up liking everyone somehow, maybe there is someone i just forgot about but i cant remember at all.
Favorite genre?
adventure games, or action rpgs.
Video game character you’ve had a crush on?
every character ever, but i distinctly remember the moment i fell in love with prompto sjghfkshd i was watching a playthrough of xv in december 2016 because i didnt have a ps4, and the guy got to the scene in galdin quay where the bros learn insomnia fell. i had watched about 6 hours of the game by that time and wasn’t particularly interested in the characters but not uninterested enough to drop it. i hadnt even gotten a good look at the characters faces yet, so when the camera zoomed in on prompto when he said ‘’might not be save for us here!’’ i noticed he had freckles. oh god. oh fuck. oh my god hes fucking cute. oh my god better watch 30 hours of this game now
First video game you remember playing?
wayyy before i got my own gaming systems, my then-best friend had a gamecube in her attic. i was around 5 or 6 at the time. whenever i was over at her house and we didnt know what to do, she’d sometimes propose to play ‘’mario kart’’. important is that we are dutch, and i was a literal child. i thought mario KART meant it was a fucking card game, so i always declined whenever she asked. on one fateful day, i finally gave in and was pleasantly surprised it was in fact not a card game, but a viddy game. so we played mario kart double dash. (…i had never played a video game in my life besides browser flash games and was Very Very bad)
Age you started gaming?
so i played my first video game that i didnt own when i was about 5 or 6. then i got my first supply of games at age 7/8, but i dont really consider that time to be when i started ‘’gaming’’. i’d say that was when i started mario galaxy, so i’ve been playing video games for real (ie. story adventure games with boss battles) for about 6 years now.
Hardest video game you’ve played?
this is gonna sound stupid, but the witcher 3. there’s like 7 difficulties and i played on the EASIEST and still had a hard time, i just couldnt get used to the combat. i had the same problem with assassin’s creed syndicate, but after about 10 hours i actually knew what i was doing, and ive played the witcher longer than that and still am clueless. this is kind of an unpopular opinion but i dont particularly like that game
Video game you’ve spent the most time on?
i guess i am what you’d call a casual gamer; i really like video games but during a normal school week i only game for like 2-6 hours. most of the time i dont play for like 2 weeks if im busy. gaming has kind of taken over my life not because i play so much but because i get so emotionally invested lol i’m currently on summer break and even now im not playing a lot because of exhaustion and executive dysfunction. this derailed slightly but the game i’ve played the most despite my casual gamer status is …. … …. ffxv. surprise, right? the runner up is botw, but xv wins by a landslide. 630+ hours. botw is 350. my main save in ffxv is almost 200 hours i think. damn. i really managed to keep myself entertained with that game… (………i was thinking recently, since the loading screens in xv are so long, how much of this total amount was spent watching screens. i imagine it’s several hours, especially if you fast travel a lot.)
Most embarrassing gaming moment?
many moments in my gaming experience are embarrassing, but a more recent one: i was in xv’s postgame, beating some dungeons on my new save file. i had just finished daurell caverns and hadn’t saved in about 2 hours. (uh oh) i was driving around in the regalia type d and got to the big cliff near lestallum, and remembered someone made a gif of jumping in there so i wanted to try it too. i imagined the game would just put me back on the road, like it does when you crash into something. except it didnt. i got a game over. where was my last save? 2 hours back all the way in hammerhead. yippee.
Scariest video game you’ve played?
i never play horror games, cuz for me games are supposed to be relaxing experiences. no hate towards horror games of course, they just stress me out. the only time ive played horror is when friday the 13th was for free on ps+, and my friends really wanted to play it. (theyre kinda addicted to it now. huh) they had already gotten over the initial fear of having jason chase you, but i was still terrified. i can play the game without getting scared now tho. the horror sound effects just rly freaked me out at first jhsdkghsd
Most memorable gaming moment?
playing breath of the wild for the first time, or beating it for the first time. both experiences were filled to the brim with excitement and nostalgia. seeing botw as a blank slate, a world for you to explore, having no idea where you’re going… that was pretty incredible. now i know every nook and cranny of the map, so i wish i could play it for the first time again. i was so incredibly immersed. beating it was insane. i cried for 30 minutes and the end wasnt even sad, i was just so amazed at the fact that i was really here, playing breath of the wild, it was really real. the fucking main theme in the background (which i cannot for the life of me listen to without crying) didnt help with my emotions sgkdjh
Video game character you wish you could meet in real life?
…………..its prompto again. maybe 2017 me …. was .. kind of a kinnie
PC, Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo?
i dont care about console wars at all, but i think hardware-wise, pc is the best, because if you have a good pc you can basically do anything. i however do not, so i just play on consoles. ive never particularly liked xbox, so i only play ps4 and nintendo. not the switch though. its kinda petty, but my best friend and i really dont like the switch djghks
Gaming company you’re most loyal to?
none. i used to call myself a nintendo nerd (oh my god…. i m. gonna die) in like 2015 but since the switch came out and since i got a ps4 they kinda lost me. i still like their game series of course, but as a company i don’t care for them. the only reason i see square enix as one of ‘’my’’ gaming companies is because ffxv took up like 70% of my gaming experience, but besides final fantasy i don’t really love them too much either.
If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
atm i’m really into ffxiv because theres just so much to do, but that’s just a new, possibly temporary interest. if i had to choose, i’d say botw. maybe i’d say ffxv, but i feel like running around doing nothing in that game isnt very fun, because the world is sorta empty after completing every quest and getting to level 120. in botw, just fucking around on your horse is still really relaxing and nice.
Do you use strategy guides?
yup. in certain games i try to avoid them but i usually end up stuck or in need of advice. i couldn’t have gotten so many p5 trophies if not for the internet lol
How often do you use cheats?
never, simply because the games i play often do not have cheats. unless im playing the sims and are in need of a motherlode, i dont use them.
Competitive or single player?
single player. im bad at video games and like to do stuff at my own pace. online multiplayer can be fun every now and then in games like mario kart 8 or splatoon, and i also like teamwork stuff like ffxiv or comrades. but ultimately, i prefer playing on my own.
Video game character you want to/have cosplayed?
have never cosplayed, dont have plans to either, but it would be fun to cosplay link. omg. i just remembered i have that fucking chocomoogle shirt… sorry link im gonna slap on some sasuke hair, black jeans and ugly sneakers
Ever go to a video game convention?
i have not, i have however gone to three (3) video game concerts which is basically the same thing.
Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?
the hardest bosses for me are usually the ones with a gimmick. you have to use a certain item or tactic to beat them or something. other hard fights for me are when you fight someone with a similar skill set. (in ffxv, this happens twice, once with the iggy-noct sparring match and once against ardyn. somehow, the final boss was easier than getting the prince to eat vegetables.) i don’t know an actual example of THE hardest boss fight ive been in though. at the time, the first bowser battle in mario galaxy was the hardest thing in the universe and i got stuck for like a month. currently, i’m having trouble with the riku-ansem fight in kh1.
Video game you wish you could burn from your memory?
the zelda cdi games? no, i dont really know. i dont hate a game so much that i’d want to forget about it altogether, but i dont exactly love ocarina of time that much. it hasnt aged well and playing it on the gamecube for the first time in 2015 wasnt a good idea. im sure it was revolutionary at the time, but i cant handle the outdated controls gsdgksjs
Favorite gaming series?
see, i love ffxv itself more than the entirety of the zelda series, but i dont love ff as a SERIES more than the zelda games. so if were talking series, zelda for sure. i fucking love those games and they mean a lot to me.
Do you skip tutorials, or find them useful?
i often skip them because i cant pay attention, but then find that i need them anyway. so i usually do skim through them.
Best online gaming experience?
one really good one happened a few days ago in ffxiv, some guy and i exchanged emotes for like 30 minutes and it ended with us becoming friends on psn :’) ppl dont usually emote back at me in that game so this was really wholesome and nice gjshksdj
Worst online gaming experience?
i dont really have a worst? theyre more annoying. think try harders in gta online killing you 15 times in a row because they want to show you how good they are or something. magically, online gaming hasnt been too hard on me (mainly because i dont game online that much)
Why do you game?
it brings me joy. it’s a fun way of relaxing, while being stimulated at the same time. games have meant a great deal to me the past 6 years and i wouldnt want to lose them for the world.

how abt 002 for your favorite loz ship
You know which LoZ ship it’s gonna be!
TP ZELINK
002 | Send me a ship and I will tell you:
When I started shipping them: I actually started shipping them before the game. I was already on the Zelink boat because I’m a sucker for the whole Princess/Hero dynamic, so when I started TP and she showed up I was like “….okay either Link has to marry her or I have to!”
My thoughts: On the ship? I love them, I love how they work together, I love how they look together. I love how there’s not much in the way of ship content in the actual game which leaves it all up to interpretation. I can have more fun with them, or I feel like I can, than with say OoT Zelink. There’s nothing to suggest anything about any history so I’m free to say “Oh yeah Zelda had a big brother” “Oh yeah they actually met before the game but they were both kids and didn’t recognize each other as adults” “Oh yeah Link and Zelda fall in love during the rebuilding of Castle Town and letter as penpals”
What makes me happy about them: Just the freedom mostly. Like don’t get me wrong they both have distinct characters and that’s nothing something I can just change on a whim like “Oh I think they should act like this” because that’s dumb. But there is nothing anyone can say about my idea of how they fell in love because that’s all a HC.
What makes me sad about them: Strangely, despite everything I’ve said, the fact that there wasn’t much ship stuff in game. Because as fun as imagining is I don’t have much to go off of other than “he calmed down immediately when he saw her face he think’s she’s beautiful” because that’s probs me projecting
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: “Hi I’m Ilia, I’m in love with Link and Zelda stole him from me so now I’m a massive possessive bitch who’ll scream and cry bloody murder because the boy I like likes someone else. Also I’m a bitch and I hate everyone especially Zelda because she’s evil” Leave Ilia alone! SHE’S A GOOD NOODLE I LOVE HER! also “I’m Zelda and I HATE MIDNA SO MUCH SHE’S EVIL AND I HATE HER BECAUSE LINK HAS FEELINGS FOR HER GOD SHE’S A BITCH”
Things I look for in fanfic: Zelda has emotions, Actual emotions, Character development outside of them getting together, Ilia is a nice person and is supportive of Link and Zelda (fite me) Link is nice to the Ordon Kids, and if you can throw in a dash of “I’m from the country I have no idea what all this fancy etiquette stuff is please help” then that’s even better I’m a sucker for pomp, circumstance, and pageantry
My wishlist: That they get to heal together! Both became creatures of Twilight (albeit under different circumstances) and I want them to talk to each other about their feelings and be like “oh wow it’s great to talk to someone who went through the same stuff as me and can understand why I feel the way I do” I want them to become friends before the idea of romance ever enters their heads. I want the romantic love to hit them across the face when they realize it like “Oh shit. I’m in love with my friend… okay how do I go about telling them this?”
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Link - Ilia (I actually have a whole HC about the two of them which encompasses their lives from 15 to 17) and Zelda - Shad (They look cute together. fite. me.)
My happily ever after for them:
They become pen pals
Link travels to Castle town to help with the rebuilding
Link ends up staying in Castle Town a lot because “I like it here”
Zelda knights him
He becomes High Commander of her armies
They grow closer and develop inside jokes
Those inside jokes turn to flirting
That flirting turns to flirting all the time and longing looks
“Oh shit am I flirting? OH shit are they flirting back?”
“Fuck I’m in love with my best friend!”
confessions
Honeymoon period where they literally cannot keep their hands off each other because “They love me and they let me kiss them as much as I want!”
Domestic life becomes the norm, they settle into their routine (they still can’t keep their hands off each other) They begin discussing their futures but they’re not really worried about it because they’re happy now and that’s what counts
They both propose at the same time
Married
5 babies
Hyrule’s power couple!
Thank you so much! I had so much fun answering these

Chapter Nine - Breath of the Insane
Naomi and Brandon ran down a pathway, the later gasping for air. He was once again weaponless, after throwing his rock at crawling pile of bones. The stone had been incredible, though. It grew to the size of a boulder in midair and then crushed the bones to dust. But because the crawling bones were so dang slow, it was a waste of a good weapon. Naomi still had Excalibur, but she was concentrating more on running than fighting. The beasts in Breath of the Wild were larger and harder to kill than in the last Zelda game.
Another problem was that these monsters coming from all sides were definitely not just from this game, but from others as well. She was pretty certain that some even came from books. Weren’t those Cauldron Born coming in from the south? Those kind of undead never stayed dead when you cut them down. There were also two large statues that reminded her of Anubis warriors. Yup, she felt screwed. All they needed now was a sentinel to come running into the mix...
Suddenly, a green World of Warcraft orc and a moblin charged at her and Brandon from rise to their right. Brandon just collapsed in the road and begged for it all to end. Naomi snarled and tried to assume a good stance for fighting these monsters. She was not really used to fencing or anything like that. She was at a real disadvantage. The orc reached her first, with the moblin stopping to consider Brandon.
The orc swung a large battle axe and nearly took off Naomi’s head. She was lucky and managed to dodge it and Excalibur went into the orc’s gut easily. The brute howled and drew back, clutching its stomach. A health bar appeared over its head, and Naomi could see that he had two thirds of his HP still. Grimacing, she went on the offensive, swinging wildly. She managed to score a good number of hits on the orc, who blocked with its axe, but still took damage. Excalibur quickly reduced the enemy to a bloody mess. She turned and saw Brandon in the clutches of the moblin, squealing for help.
Naomi had half a mind to leave him, but she knew the agents wouldn’t condone her actions. She knew Trick would understand, but his word wouldn’t sway the adults. She heaved a sigh, feeling sore from the exertion and charged the moblin. It pricked Brandon hard, and three hearts popped into being over his head. He was already down half a heart. The moblin grunted with excitement, which turned into a gurgle as Excalibur went through its chest. It let go of Brandon and rounded on Naomi.
The movement wrenched the sword from her hands and she threw herself out of the way to avoid a spear taking her in the throat. She rolled as she landed, and with the adrenaline pumping, she sprinted around the monster. The moblin nearly skewered her again, but managed to get behind him and pull the sword free. She then hacked frantically at the moblin, bringing him down like a sapling.
Brandon gaped at her and then sputtered, “You save my life! I am in your debt! Please, lend me the sword and I’ll repay you!”
“Not on your life,” Naomi spat angrily. “We need to get going. I saw enemies coming after us from all sides earlier. You need a weapon that you can use. Unfortunately, you are not strong enough for that orc’s ax, so take the spear.”
She didn’t bother to check if Brandon was following her instructions or not. She raided the orc’s body of a nice side pouch, that had some medicine and food in it. Even a small, rock grenade. There was a knife too, with a nice belt. Naomi quickly outfitted herself and even took the bloody jerkin. It might help cover at least something. Brandon trotted up beside her with the spear and a rupee in his hand.
“I wonder if I can take this back with me?”
“That’s what you’re thinking about right now,” Naomi shouted. “I can’t believe you!”
“Well, I need a good stone for when I propose to you. Naomi, you are incredible,” Brandon said breathlessly.
Naomi responded with a swift kick to the gonads. As Brandon rolled on the ground in agony, she simply said, “Consider that my rejection.”
“Ooooh! She really got him good!”
Agent Miles gave Agent Brown a big smile before seeing the stern look on the other woman’s face. She then adopted a more subdued look, but with a slight smile. Everyone was watching what was happening on the big screen as Brandon and Naomi interacted. What they were saying was displayed on the screen as in-game text. Kyle was quickly working to get the Nintendo Switch operational in order to help them through the game. Meanwhile, Mr. Jackson was comforting his wife.
“It’s okay, dear. See? Brandon is being protected. Soon Kyle will be able to guide him like he did last time.”
“But she kicked him in the balls! What if he never has children,” his wife wailed.
Mr. Jackson looked as though he personally believed his son deserved the treatment but instead said, “I think we just need to concentrate on getting him back to us.”
Agent Brown regretted that her son was not there to see all of this. She knew Trick would have loved to see Naomi kick the winning field goal into Brandon’s nether regions. She had to bite back the smile that threatened to sweep across her face. This whole situation was terrifying, but it was oddly comical. She wondered what her son and Conturbatio were getting up to with the mailbox when suddenly two college students let themselves into the living room.
“Well hello there! We heard the Legend of Zelda music and thought we’d come and see what is going on. We’re really big fans!”
The speaker was a guy with a short beard on his face with baseball cap depicting a tiger. He looked to be dressed in pajama pants. The other guy was tall and lean with smart glasses on his face, and shirt with Cthulhu on it. Agent Brown rested a hand on her gun, while positioning herself against the two intruders.
“Who are you,” she asked sternly.
The bearded one waved and said, “Oh, I’m Nate, and this is Vince. Sorry for barging in, but Zelda always gets us excited.”
“Dang excite,” Vince added.
“Woah, this doesn’t look like the game I remember,” Nate said with astonishment.
“Well, it is different,” Kyle said hesitantly.
“What kind of glitches or codes did you work into this,” Vince asked with awe, getting close to the screen.
“Er… That’s hard to explain,” Kyle muttered under his breath.
“My brother and the girl he likes are stuck in the video game,” Tiffany said loudly.
“Well that would explain the absence of Link,” Nate said with wonder.
Once Kyle got the Switch up and running, he could again control Brandon, and just in time, too. He was nearly gored by a giant boat that had suddenly ridden through. The large Anubis statues also lumbered into view.
“Kyle, don’t let them touch your brother,” Mrs. Jackson shouted.
“I’m trying,” he shot back angrily.
Nate and Vince shared a confused look and then Nate said, “I am actually a really great player at this game myself. If the other character is there to support me, I think I can get this Brandon- Brandon, right? Yeah him, I can get him out of danger.”
Kyle looked relieved and thrust the controllers into Nate’s hands. The college student sat down with a loud fart and started playing. Sure enough, he got Brandon somersaulting out of the way and taking good jabs at the Boar, while Naomi finished it off.
“Sorry, I toot a lot. Better out than in, though, right? Hm, we need to get this character some better weapons. Oh look! There’s an ax back there!”
As Nate moved the grumbling Brandon (“Who’s controlling me? Get them to stop!”), Vince sat himself down and pulled out a laptop. He asked for internet access and quickly got it going.
“Since this is  heavily modified version of the game, Nate, I’m gonna try talking you through some things.”
“Thanks a lot buddy!”
Agent Brown came up, shaking her head. “What are you two doing? Why?”
“We just really like games and we like challenges,” Vince answered. “It also looks important to you, and so we are going to help, even if we don’t normally intrude like this.”
“It’s a blessing,” someone called from the outside.
Mr. Jackson grumbled, “Damn Mormons….”
Vince then produced an energy drink and said, “Nate, here! Energy and sustenance!”
“Thanks pal! Hey kid, can you open this for me?”
Kyle opened the can as someone else shouted through the window, “Jack Mormons! Have you no shame!”
“Why don’t you take your self righteousness and stuff it up your butt? Maybe it’ll finally put you on the straight and narrow,” Vince shouted back. Nate just let loose a loud burp and fart.
Agent Brown now understood why both Agents Miller and Sanchez had emphatically said that they would never move to Utah.

I think the biggest issue that I have with Botw’s writing is that in most every memory(which are basically a part of the main story), almost always focus on Zelda instead of Link. And I wouldn’t have an issue with this if they hadn’t made the fact that Zelda was kind of a b*tch to Link in the beginning a part of her character and in turn I really just don’t like Zelda that much! [1]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Sorry this has been sitting in my inbox for awhile)
I agree that the main problem with the writing is probably the memories. You’re right that some of the more important parts of Zelda’s character are kept in more obscure diaries, rather than in actual memories. Although, I don’t know if focusing more on Link would actually help, as despite everyone wanting Link to express more emotions, I’m pretty sure that Nintendo is gonna keep him a blank slate (but I hope I’m wrong!)
And yeah, the failure to have Zelda actually apologies to Link is a completely justified complaint, and frankly I think it’s the fault of the memories being crafted with the goal of being watched in any order, rather than a three act structure. Zelda apologizing to Link in a memory would have been confusing to those who haven’t seen the other memories which I think is a big flaw in the system. The memories are made to be self contained, meaning they can’t interact with the other memories that much which pretty much the only exception being either the Yiga Clan one of the Calamities Awakening. Other than that, the memories all tell the same information, with static rather than dynamic characters.
My personal opinion is that the way all the memory scenes themselves are crafted just fail at being compelling? There’s barely any subtext, and they’re designed to be seen in any order, so, all the information or exposition or character they give is basically the same. (Again, we don’t necessarily see Zelda apologize, since the developers wouldn’t want the player to be confused if they saw one memory before the other) All the memories convey is either broad characterization for the Champions and the dramatic stakes of Zelda trying to unlock her powers. That’s it...and it leaves a lot to be desired.
Sure we can headcanon all day, but at the end of it the memories were designed too stoically, and independently that they fail to actually contribute to a flowing narrative. I feel like if there were more memories, and more structure to them it might have improved, oop it’s time for hypothetical and tangents about how it could maybe be improved below the cut
I think the whole thing where you are left with a simple photographs, and having to explore and find your way to these areas it really great! It keeps the player moving and adds to the games theme of exploration. But I feel it would have been improved if there was more substance rather than an X marks the spot
Like what if for one memory, you get a picture of a forest, and a stable is in the background. So eventually you find this location, but you’re still not triggering anything. Maybe sometime later, after you finish a Divine Beast or something, you can go to the stable and find an npc, and they talk about how 100 years ago a Champion or Champions were doing something blahblahblah at a certain tree. Maybe you hear a certain detail from their dialogue that triggers something in Link And that would be when you could go to that location and trigger a memory cutscene.
Granted, this structure is more linear and not as open ended, but I think it’s strengths outweigh its costs considering now that you can add structure to the memories, you can actually craft compelling arcs. Let’s just do Zelda for example.
Let’s say we have the original 12 memories out in Hyrule and you can go to any of them at any time. But, as you unlock more Divine Beasts, you unlock more opportunities to find even more memory locations. So you start off with the one in Sanidin Park, or maybe the one by the Sacred Grounds, or even the Ancient Columns. From those memories you establish the starting point of Zelda and Link’s relationship.
Then, later on you might complete a Diving Beast, and that unlocks opportunities to find other memories. Since you’ve unlocked a Divine Beast, you were more likely to have done those other memories, so now you get the chance to delv further into these characters. Maybe now you get a chance to see Zelda and Link growing on each other and bonding, you could see Zelda apologize, you could world build or see more internal struggles. I really liked that memory of Zelda watching Link under the tree and expressing her doubts. You could do more of that stuff but now you can BUILD off of other memories that the player has already seen!! Even further than Zelda and Link, you could further characterize the Champions. Have a little banter with Revali or maybe have him see Link in battle and he could grow respect for him. Or how does Mipha deal with Link being Zelda’s knight? Fuck it, have some internal conflict with all the Champions with each other, then have them grow into a found family dynamic as you unlock more and more Divine Beasts and you unlock more and more memories.
If you add structure to what memories can be unlocked, you can add structure to how scenes and characters grow because you’re not limited to having each memory be independent.
For the love of Hylia you could add anything so long as it isn’t telling the same thing for everyone of the memories, so long as it tells something different than “Zelda is struggling with her powers,” or “This character has a crush on Link.” If you structured the memories system you could actually have compelling growth and change and eVEN STILL KEEP LINK AS A BLANK SLATE NINTENDO! All the original memories do is talk about all the amazing things the Champion’s did. Zelda talking with Link after he killed 3 Lynels. Boy, would have been cool to see that fight and learn about how competent a fighter Link was. Oh, Link and Daruk are good friends? Would have been nice to see them hanging out and establishing what good friends they are rather than just TALKING about how good of friends they are. Even in the DLC, which does have really great cutscenes and diary entries to be fair, they don’t count because that was optional and not something that everyone can experience. How great would it have been to unlock memories that shows (show not tell!) Mipha caring and healing her people, or Revali training in solitude. Then as you play further into the game, you unlock memories of Link fighting along side Mipha, or Revali teaching Link how to shoot in mid air.
and WHAT IF NINTENDO ACTUALLY HIRED WRITERS, instead of leaving it to their game devs, TO WRITE COMPELLING CUTSCENES WITH IMPROVED DIALOGUE, GENUINE SUBTEXT, AND INTERESTING DYNAMICS
It pains me to no end that the memories in botw are just...there. It could have been so much more. I love this game and I love it’s story despite its flaws and I really hope the sequel doesn’t have linear storytelling, but my god please pLEASE hire writers nintendo.
You can agree or disagree with my proposal all you want but can we all agree that more memories wouldn’t have hurt? Right?
As you can see I have a lot of feelings on this.... :P
