;; Tbh with so many people gone right now and me not being sure how many are coming back for the new season, it kind of feels like I’m practically starting all over again. :’( There’s only a few people left that I had threads with.

In light of the fact that the new season is nearly here, I’m going to be reblogging memes (possibly more than once) to try to start new stuff up. If anyone knows any canon characters that are active or really developed OCs, please direct me to these people! Also, feel free to send in memes even if I reblog the same meme. I’m really gonna be looking for interaction this coming season - especially with Ricks (not just because he’s supposed to be dying this season, but I’m willing to work with threads where he does and does not).

I’m going to work with Carl’s development for the first half of the season as the season comes out, and I’ll be making a page for Carl’s development post 8x08. I’ll try to make it as detailed as possible as the episodes come out, and I’ll probably make a cumulative post at the end of the first half and then again at the end of the second half, with any necessary posts in between.

Carl will be eighteen in S9′s timeline, since my default age for him is sixteen around S7/S8. Since it’s a year and a half timeskip, I’m going by around sixteen and a half and jumping to eighteen, so if there’s that five year timeskip for the second half, he’ll be around twenty three then. Also note, I WILL be doing threads from in between the timeskip. No, that doesn’t mean smut or aged up for smut. Don’t expect smut on this blog. Ever. :) ...No. Really. Ever. I don’t care if he’s thirty. Ace with grace, punks.

But god fucking damn Carl is going to take some serious consideration to write for from now on lol. His age range is literally 12-23 in this case ffs. Typically I don’t write younger Carl because it’s a bit more difficult for me, but that doesn’t mean I won’t do such threads on request or if they’re planned. I’m still good to write anywhere from S1-S9, it’s just gonna be a little tricky lol. But that’s why I love writing him, honestly. There’s so much room to work with him and all the changes.

Also, just a thing I know I’m doing for him for S9: He will be team Daryl regarding the Savior thing, but he’s not going to be murderous or anything.

He’s absolutely going to feel that the two sides shouldn’t be trying to get along if they don’t want to, but he’s not going to start fights unless he feels threatened. His idea of the whole thing is that they should move on and let it all go and stop fighting, but not try to force all the communities to be friends after what happened. He’s not asking for everyone to be buddy buddy - just for people to stop fighting each other and helping the walkers wipe out what’s left of humanity. Not everyone has to be friends with everyone, but he’ll still have common decency for other human beings if they haven’t done any wrong. He’ll basically treat people like people without regard for who was where if they were innocent.

He’s absolutely still going to hold people accountable for what they’ve done, and he doesn’t believe the Saviors should be mingling with other people after the fighting. He also still harbors bad feelings about many of them. He will, of course, treat people with consideration who were innocent or are trying to get better, but what he wants is basically for the people who don’t get along to stop minding each other and move on (i.e. don’t like them, don’t talk to them). That doesn’t mean he won’t get violent at times with Saviors who threaten people he cares about. If a Savior is attacking Daryl, he’s absolutely going to side with Daryl, for example.

Basically, he has mixed feelings: he’s exhausted of fighting other people (remember, this has been a thing for them way longer than dealing with the Saviors, and he’s been dealing with it since he was twelve) and he’ll do his best to stop any fighting, but he definitely does not want the Saviors around. He believes they should just go on their way. If they do start anything though, he’s not against dealing with them physically. He’ll start with reason, then move to force.

TL;DR: if ur a shit, he’s gonna treat u like a shit. if ur not a shit, he’s gonna treat u like ur not a shit.
