i think the only people that should be exhibiting "nice guy" behavior should be math teachers. now that im older i realize how shitty people treat math teachers. they will l i t e r a l l y bust their asses making hot chocolate for kids, filling their classrooms with stuffed animals, basically sleep in the school just in case a kid comes in to ask a question, etc and the best theyll get is "eh, miss so and so is mid" versus the history teacher that does the bare minimum gets worshipped

we get it, you suck at math, your brain struggles to grasp the concept. but you know its bad when youre stuck with an abusive history teacher in elementary school vs the math teacher would spend hundreds of dollars on activities for their kids and yet the history teacher gets school-wide praise

#and yes he was abusive #he would literally scream at us for talking and banned us from having recess except for the christmas break party and the last week of scho #also werent allowed to talking during lunch #he also didnt teach history #we were either told to read a book or he'd play a movie #which means many of us failed the state exams #he wouldnt allow us to go to the library though #or use the computers in his classroom to take this stupid reading test that proved we were reading #he'd also punish kids who didnt read enough by taking away even more things like gym #our math teacher was the exact opposite #she encouraged classroom discussion and took the time to go over the math questions #and she honestly was the only who'd organize all the events for our grade #and spend TONS of her own money #yet he was always fawned over by other teachers and kids that werent in our grade
