i think what we can all agree on though is that even if awsten supposedly has a vision for this era that's supposed to be about finding identity outside of religion and societal norms, everything else about the era just seems like his mid life crisis come to life and lacks an identity lyricially and sonically that brings everything together

#the 'lore' is messy bc he doesn't understand the religious events he's referencing bc his sunday school was cleaning the pastors car #if anything i think he's leaning on the idea of being cryptic and having fans coming up with better ideas for him #because everything is so flashy without a sense of self that someone else is bound to make up something better from it #and let's be honest besides the inevitable label dropping it's not like he's changed /that/ much #he still vies for a nuclear family even outside all his zoomerbaiting and he still thinks he's really deep for writing his worst lyrics #anyways this was an iz post feel free to discuss more in the inbox
