but anyways from what little i know of him he is a royal bodyguard, has been trained to be one since he was a child so he's known fenrir since they were children, they're around the same age with fenrir being younger by a year or two

they got along bc both have social anxiety and neither made the other anxious, also that's why he prefers to cover his face, he's shy.

still get along great as grownups, still don't talk much but he understands fenrir and his little signals such as "please invent a reminder so i can speed this up and leave" or "flex a little so this visitor stops being such a nuisance", fenrir is a bit jealous he can't cover his own face

also he did fenrir's homework a lot when they were kids bc fenrir has dyslexia and didn't care about school in general, the knight sometimes still reads documents to him out loud when the language is too flowery for him to understand

basically when fenrir was dragged back to the castle bc his brother's dying and he was to be king, they also gave him a knight who had at that point adopted the mask, you guys were friends before you gel well have at it

not originally from the castle, moved there with his family as a small child, something something long line of knights

he's a devastating swordsman, final boss of the tourney melee, but very humble and shy and avoids attention otherwise, the fabric of his armor is magic so it doesn't get tangled but it helps obscure his form and helps fool opponents (on top of making him more comfortable). favors his zweihänder but carries daggers, can handle sword & shield, hammers, maces, flails and others and is equally formidable in mano a mano

willing to spar and train, mostly has trained alex when he insisted. as well as him he is close to merope and ylva because he guards them often, nepheli is mistrustful because of the mask and that's fine, her family can handle her. also respects hassaleh who returns the feeling.

mainly spends his off time training, maintaining his equipment and looking after his pets.

aroace and agender with he/him pronouns, used to date the castle's birdmaster (holding hands, mainly) until they both came out (she's a lesbian), still friends. he covers himself these days but many friends know what he looks like, it's not a shameful secret or anything. likes animals more than romance.

has his own horse he adores, even if he's not as good of a rider as fenrir, and has his pedigree wolf by his side pretty much always and the shitty little fox that follows him when he's not actively doing royal bodyguard things. his wolf may be bred for hunting but he's not super keen on it, doesn't want to hurt animals, takes part in hunting parties though bc of fenrir, he has to go with him.

loves every single dog he meets, doesn't have enough hands to pet them. disguises self and visits the town dog shelter to pet them and give them supplies. fenrir knows of this because of his spymasters and doesn't mind it, makes sure his pay is enough to supply himself and the animals. doesn't regret adopting and hand-rearing the fox but after it passes, if he found another orphaned kit he would probably rather find a foster mom than get another one for himself.
