he doesn't make a habit of driving. he OWNS a car, yes. but he usually keeps it parked somewhere secret. this is to avoid being tracked via license plate number. instead, danny rides a bike to get where he needs to go, which does include when he sneaks out at night to stalk and kill his victims. there's a small trunk strapped to the back of it where he stores his equipment in. and y'know, it's good to maintain that cardio. makes chasing people down easier :)
