i'm gonna be completely honest i don't think a lot of y'all are helping with the hannah situation. obviously she has a long way to go in holding herself actually accountable, i've seen her apology and it's not a very good one. however, the amount of people foaming at the mouth the minute she posts anything takes away from the seriousness of any calls for accountability that might still be happening and buries them. people picking fights in her replies bc she "talks about her producer too much" when her producer is her boyfriend or some random shit just isn't productive and frankly she had the right to defend herself against that behaviour in the replies to her tweets. it might just be me but i feel like making a massive deal out of pretty much everything she posts does more harm than good.

by all means, please ask her to actually take accountability if you want, especially as there's no way for her to actually counteract the harm she has caused without it. call her out on these things- we need to make sure that's done, even if she ignores it so that marginalised members of communities who will know who she is know that behaviour like hers isn't accepted, but i am begging you please stop throwing at tantrum at generally harmless posts because it's just counterproductive.

i know the fact that i have publicly said that i like her music and i don't hate her might mean this is easy to overlook as someone that wants to sweep it all under the rug or smth like that so i am gonna make it clear that she has a lot of work to do in terms of accountability and the main purpose of this was to try and point out that some of the gvf fandom are holding that back which could perpetuate the issues with the things she has said, and personally i'd rather not see that happen.

and i'm gonna quickly clarify one last thing- i cannot accept any apology from her for her racist and fatphobic comments, so obviously i won't. it's not my place to do that. i am queer and disabled so could accept an apology for her queerphobic and ableist comments and as of right now, i don't accept her apology bc like i said, it's not a good apology.
