Dawg i hate mouthwashinhg fandom so much now, the analysis now is just so reductive ☹️☹️☹️☹️
#ignorelist#stop reccomending me analysis that doesnt want to acknowledge the grey part of the story#yes curly fucked up in handling his rapist friend#but that doesn’t erase the fact that he’s a captain literally trying his best#curly posisition were in so much pressure he has to deal with becoming the best captain he can ever be#when anya told him jimmy sa’d her#of course he would handle it bad#he constantly ‘tries’ to help anya by trying to fix jimmie or some sort#but of course keep in mind the way he ‘helped’ anya literally sucks ass#he shouldve confronted and punished jimmy heads on#but he didnt because thats his best friend#and to add to the stress factor they are in a literal space#what am trying to say is the way curly handled anya is less than good and he fucked up#but when you look at the bigger picture he isnt some cunniving asshole that purposely enable his friend#and im not saying hes not responsible for how bad the situation with jimmy became#as a captain he poorly handled his employees and as a friend he failed to help anya#likeeee please 😭😭😭😭 i just do not want the complexity of cptn curly to be reduced#thats what made me love mthwashing in the first place#every each of the character is so layer of goodness like please dont take that away#curly is such a tragic character
