i wish i knew you wanted me - s.r.
a/n: okay this ended up being so so long forgive me!!! i hope you like<3 summary: based loosely on 'bad habit'. spencer got asked out by reader 5 years ago, when he was recovering from his dilaudid addiction, and turned her down. now, he's in love with her, and pining for her. also, jealous!spencer. she fell first, he fell harder. wc: ~2k
Sheâs very pretty. Itâs distracting. Right now, sheâs staring intently at his hands, and he feels hot under her gaze. Itâs been a while since heâs done this, the little rocket trick, but sheâs visiting the office, and Garcia had mentioned heâs a magician.Â
âThatâs incredible!â She exclaims, a giggle in her laugh, and he feels the swoop of his stomach, the butterflies of it all, âYou got them so high up!â
âItâs just physics,â he laughs, meeting her warm gaze. Her smile is one for the ages.Â
Sheâs here dropping off a file. Theyâve known eachother a really long time, actually. She was an expert witness for them, once, years ago. She spoke with ease, both on the stand and in person. Equal measure kind and measured, and Spencer had adored her on first glance. Theyâd met when he was just getting clean from Dilaudid, and Spencerâs been in love with her since not long after than first meeting. Thatâs pretty much the only thing about her he wishes he could take back.Â
He still has a hard time thinking about it, the fact that he met her when he was barely himself. Still, sheâd been kind, listened to him talk and let the others tell her that he wasâŠgoing through something. It was on his two month sobriety date (which sheâd had no way of knowing) that sheâd asked him out.Â
Sometimes, when he canât sleep, he replays the memory in his head. How she works just south of their office, and how theyâd meet at the cafĂ© nearest, and chat for an hour before calling a cab home.Â
On the other side of the veil, he can picture that night, years ago now. How sheâd looked with the snow kissing her nose, dotting the edges of her faux-fur hood. Sheâd stuck out her tongue to catch a snowflake, and heâd almost combusted and the adorability of it.Â
âYou look nice,â sheâd said, although at the time heâs pretty sure he looked gaunt. Heâd only recently started to gain the weight back- but still, her praise felt like stardust.Â
âYou look nicer,â heâd said back, gently bumping her shoulder as a fond gesture. Her little grin is well-worth how awkward they both look on the street.
âListen,â she had said, stuffing her hands into her pockets, the size of the coat causing her hands to disapear from sight entirely, âI asked JJ and Morgan, and they said youâre not seeing anyone.â
âOh, yeah. They love reminding me of that. Not everyone can be like Morgan and have dated half the western hemsiphere.â
He felt embarrassed, her watching him. Itâs nice, but sometimes feels like staring into the sun.Â
Her chuckle was nervous, not fully reaching her eyes.Â
âYou okay?Â
âYeah,â she swallowed again, before speaking, âI was wondering, um, if you might want to grab a drink with me?â
âSure,â heâd replied back, amenably. He couldnât tell why she looked so nervous, âI canât really do hard liquor, though. Maybe we can invite the team.â
âNo, Spence, I was wondering if you and I could go on a um, a date.â
And heâs frozen. Because this might be the second time heâd ever been asked out, and second, this might be his dream girl. Sheâs gorgeous and kind and sheâs in front of him, asking him out.Â
âI um,â his mouth was dry. Heâd be a bad boyfriend. He was a recovering drug addict who already was bad at talking to people, and she lit up a room whenever she walked in. She finds him easy to be with, easy to care for and heâs bound to fuck it up. He couldnât imagine giving that up because he was too greedy to take what he got. âI donât think that would be a good idea.â
He almost took it back with incredible speed, with that flash of disapointment on her lovely face, and the knowledge that itâs because she wanted him, before she quickly regained her speech.
âThatâs totally alright! Weâll just be good friends, yeah?â
In the here and now, they are friends. Best of, really. And he made the right choice. Heâd lashed out at Emily a month later in a withdrawl, and he knows that heâd have done the same to her, and now, sheâs still in his life.Â
The drawbacks of course, to being her friend, means she has dates. Boyfriends, as well, and heâs been aâŠfriend, through it all. Good friend. Sheâs never suspeced him of anything more, of course, after heâd categorically rejected it.Â
(Even though this rejection plays in his head all the fucking time, like a torturous groundhog day.)
Sheâs beautiful today, a blue blouse with a scarf lazily around her neck, and the way sheâs leaning over his desk to see the trick before she drops off her analysis.Â
âAlright, Spence,â she says, her rose perfume wafting in the air prior to her hopping off the corner, âDid you need anything else? Today is my half-day, and Harry wanted to take me to Art Insititute.â
Harry, is the boy on rotation at the moment. Spencer has no impulse control and a super-computer expert best friend, so Spencer knows that Harry is 6â0 on his Driverâs License, and is a Financial Analyst. Spencer knows from her own mouth that this will be the third date, and that heâs a little boring but sheâs attracted to the fact that he was direct and wanted to go out again.Â
Low bar, but one Spencer couldnât even clear. He doesnât say any of that, though.
âThat sounds fun,â he says, instead of saying that heâd love to walk her through the inscriptions on each art piece, love to kiss her in front of something thatsâ beauty does not come close to herâs. âAre you thinking it might run long, or are we still doing the bookstore and TV at mine after?â
Heâs been looking forward to this all week. He bought special marshmallows for her cocoa. He also htes to imagine her date running long.Â
âNah,â she smiles, âbesides, heâs just some guy. Youâre Spencer.â
Morgan doesnât say anything when he looks down at his. paperwork, and scribbles instead of thinking, the best he can.Â
________________________________
Donât think about the fact she was on a date. Donât think about how Harry might have got to kiss her. Just donât bring it up.Â
âHow was the date?â
She shrugged, pulling at the spine of a hardcover novel.Â
âIt was fine. Like I said, he was kind of boring.â
âSo whyâd you go out with him again?â
âI dunno, Spence, I just⊠I want a boyfriend, you know? I want someone to want to be with me.â
She is so beautiful. She laughs with her whole chest, and she listens to his stories and chimes in with her own expertise. She has a voice that seems like itâs spun gold thread, and heâd give anything to kiss her.Â
âI get that,â he says, instead of anything heâs thinking. Sheâs wearing brown lipstick, transfer proof. Heâs in love with her. âThereâs got to be guys lining up for a girl like you.â
âThatâs a nice thought, Spence. Not the ones Iâd like.â
___________________________
This thought haunts his evening, and when he parks and they start the walk-up to his apartment, a confession hammering at his throat, a physical urge. Sheâs giggling at some long physics joke heâd made, and heâs addicted to the soft bell of her laughter.
His apartment is small and lovely, and he enjoys having her in the small and dark of the night, the sun set over what he wishes were two lovers.Â
âYou are really pretty, you know,â he says, once sheâs settled into his chest, a sick satisfaction of knowing Harry got a quick thank you text before she darted over to Spencerâs arms.Â
âThanks, Spencer. Youâre a good friend.â
âWhy do you always say that?â
âThat youâre a good friend?â
âIâm not saying youâre pretty because Iâm a good friend. Iâm saying it because itâs true, and I enjoy saying true things.âÂ
âYou donâtâŠI donât know why youâre saying that, Spencer. Weâre friends and I adore you and Iâm here right now, but you donât need to make it harder on me.â
She looks nervous, and a little disapointed. He wants her to know, that even if heâs missed his shot, sheâs not going to be alone. Heâs gonna spend the rest of his life hating whoever knew to take the best thing offered to him, but Spencer- he knows he is not going to be the last to love her. He grabs her hand without thinking, her doe eyes peering into his with some emotion he canât pin down.Â
âHey, Iâm not tryingâŠto make anything hard for you. I donât ever want to do that. I just⊠some day someoneâs gonna see you and want to be with you and Iâm going to watch it and know it was inevitable.âÂ
The words taste like barbed wire.Â
Ask me again, he wants to beg, Iâm ready now. Iâll do it right.Â
Is that even true? Is it just that he wants her bad enough heâs willing to risk not doing it right?
âYouâre so sweet,â she sobs, and oh, sheâs crying. Just a little, but tears prick at the corners of her eyes. âYou make it so hard to be your friend. And I know thatâs my problem, that youâve always been straight up with me. I asked you out and you said no, and I know that-â
âI know that I was too late, and freaked out about being with someone like you when I was still so fucked up.â theyâre so close to eachother, he can smell her chapstick. His chest aches. âSweetheart, that had nothing to do with you. It was all me. Itâs a train I missed that Iâm gonna spend the rest of my life wishing Iâd caught.â
He feels uncomfortably bare, even in the oversized sweater that sheâd gotten him last Christmas, and that heâd pretended had been from his lover all of that week. But itâs important that she knows.
âWhat do you mean, âtoo lateâ?â
Her voice is small, so quiet he barely hears it. She threads her nimble fingers into his slender ones, and his heart is hammering.Â
âI-I was on Dilaudid, or just barely off, you know- you wouldnât want to be with someone like me. You asked me out when you didnât even know that.â
âI know you now. Years worth of knowing.â
âAnd you havenât asked me since.âÂ
âSpencer,â her voice is warm, rich like silk and grainy old music, and he wants to drink this image in, her fingers stroking the side of his face like heâs holy. He wonders if heâs dreaming, with how good she feels to be so close to.Â
Ask me again, he wants to beg. Iâm ready, now.Â
âSpencer Walter Reid,â she says, properly holding his hand, bringing her soft lips to his hand, kissing his knuckle. He feels anointed, blessed by a higher power. âCould I take you out on a date?â
âYes,â he says, finally. Five years of waiting melts away as he kisses her, warmth and light seeping into existence, a dream brought to tangible life, to touch and reality, âActually, wait,â he says, and finishes before her face can fall, âWould you be my girlfriend?â
Itâs maybe playing his cards too much, but her wide, ear to ear splitting grin is everything he needs to see, everything he might need to see for the rest of his life.Â
âTook you long enough, boy-genius.â
âAll you had to do was ask again!â
If she has a complaint about that, it certainly couldnât be heard by the many, many kisses that would follow.Â

âHey Matt, have you seen my-â Chris begins to ask as he pushes Mattâs bedroom door open, expecting his brother to either be lazing around in bed or be at his desk, gaming.
What he doesn't expect is the sight he is instead greeted by, of you, Mattâs girlfriend of the last year and a half, astride Mattâs lap, riding his dick while he leans against his headboard, head thrown back and hands grabbing your hips, guiding you, slowly.
Chris is shocked, understandably, and he should just turn around and book it. Instead, he stands frozen, watching the way your head is nestled into the crook of Mattâs neck, your shoulders shaking. If Chris ignores the sound of his own pounding heart, he can almost hear the soft whimpers youâre letting out at each downward thrust of your hips.
At the sound of a soft, deep groan, Chrisâ attention shifts to Matt, who has his eyes shut, and his bottom lip pinched between his teeth. Thereâs something surreal about this scene, seeing Matt, who looks nothing like Chris, but also looks the most like him, fucking this beautiful girl whoâs been on his mind for months now.
âMattâŠ,â he hears you whine loudly against his brotherâs neck, and Chris has to grit his teeth, fight against the urge to shove his hands into his pants and fist his growing erection. This shouldn't turn him on so much, hell, he shouldn't even be here right now. He should have run in the opposite direction as soon as he realized what heâd walked in on, but heâs mesmerized by the way you move, your back arching as your hips move back and forth. The slow, sensual, almost hypnotic, movements of your body as you ride Mattâs dick has him clenching his fists, nails digging into his palms and itâs easy to imagine him in Mattâs place as he gets this view of what it might look like to fuck you. Your moans grow louder, and Chris thinks it might be because youâre getting close, and god, he feels so hot underneath his skin.
âShh baby, didn't you say we needed to be quiet?â Matt whispers against the side of your head. âCanât have Chris hearing us, can we?â
At the sound of his name, Chrisâ heart hammers faster, and he looks up at Mattâs face, only to see that his brotherâs gaze was already on him, watching him with a slight smirk before thrusting his hips up, presumably driving his cock deeper into you, making you moan even louder than you already were.
Breaking out of his stupor, Chris stumbles backwards before hightailing it to his room, slamming the door behind him. It takes all of five seconds for him to get his cock out of his sweatpants, furiously jerking off as he leans against his door, biting into the hem of his t-shirt that heâd pulled up over his chest, and only another five seconds before he shoots his cum all over himself.
2
Chris knows its wrong, wanting his brother's girl. This was never a problem before, because any time he found out Matt liked someone, Chris immediately lost interest. It was the brothersâ code; they never fought over girls, and besides, they always just liked different ones.
You, thoughâŠit was hard not to like you, even after he found out Matt had his eyes on you.
Chris remembers the first time he met you, how nice youâd been to him and his brothers, how easily youâd fit into their lives. Heâs not going to lie and say heâd wanted you right from the start. It was a gradual thing, slowly creeping up on him before he realized what had gotten him.
You just made him feel so comfortable, and surprisingly, the two of you had a lot in common. But then again, you had a lot in common with Matt, and Nick. And yet, you were so different. You were smart, playful, and so, so kind. You were just the right amount of goofy and serious, and you just, fit well into the dynamic Chris and his brothers shared.
It shouldn't have surprised him when Matt eventually told him and Nick that he was into you and planned to ask you out. It all happened so quickly after that. You and Matt had gotten together and, now you weren't just the new friend that Chris and his brothers were always hanging out with, but his brother's (his brother who was also his best friend, really) girlfriend.
Which is why Chris knows itâs fucked up. Wanting you. And he knows itâs even more fucked up that he wishes he could have a repeat of what happened a few weeks ago when he accidentally walked in on you and Matt. The amount of times heâs jacked off to that memory alone the past few nights is insane, his mind supplying images to create his own version of events where he doesn't run away.
Especially fucked up is the fact that Matt had seen him, had looked cocky that heâd caught Chris watching them, and even that fact hadnât deterred Chris from chasing orgasm after orgasm to the thought of fucking you, imagining how tight and wet your pussy might be, what it might taste like.
Speaking of the fucker who seemed totally unfazed by recent events, Matt sat across Chris, scrolling through his phone, while Nick sat beside him, editing their latest video. Chris was trying his hardest not to flip the fuck out, but his whole nervous system seemed like it was fried. Nick had already yelled at him twice to stop moving so much because he was apparently jostling the table too much, and Matt had just let out a bemused chuckle without lifting his eyes from his phone the entire time.
Just as Chris was about to get up and retreat to him room, the doorbell rings, before Matt gets a series of texts.
âOh, sheâs here-â Matt says, before shooting out of his chair and rushing to great you at the front door.
âHey, hey, hey!â your cheery voice rings through the hallway, as you and Matt make your way into the kitchen, and Chris almost chokes on the sip of Pepsi heâd just taken because holy fuck-
You were wearing a short, tight black dress that hugged the lines and curves of your body just right, the square neckline barely covering your chest. His eyes slipped further down to the way the fabric of the dress cinched at your waist, and to the slit at the side of the dress that came up to mid-thigh. That and the combination of tall strappy heels you had on made your legs lookâŠreally good. So good that Chris wishes he was between those legs, licking a path up your calf to your inner thighs, leaving bruising kisses to mar the smooth, unblemished skin of your legs, before finally, finally-
Nick hoots just then, exclaiming about how hot your fit looks, pulling Chris out of his daze. He watches as you bask in the compliments being showered onto you by both Nick and Matt now, and can't help but smile at the way you try to hide your blushing face.
So, itâs completely out of left field when he sees you again later that night, sitting on the couch with your hands covering your face but this time itâs to hide the loud moans that threaten to slip from your mouth as you watch Matt kneel in front of you, his mouth pressing kisses into your inner thighsâŠjust like Chris had imagined doing earlier.
Itâs ridiculous really, how Chris had been feeling slightly normal after dinner with you and his brothers, because as awkward as he may have been feeling about you and Matt, being around you and his brothers, having good food and just laughing about random shit made him feel really fucking good. Like everything was normal and he wasn't fantasizing about fucking his brotherâs girlfriend. Like he hadn't accidentally walked in on them fucking.
Of course itâs just his fucking luck that as soon heâs feeling just that slightest bit of normalcy, heâd decided to go to the kitchen and grab a Pepsi from the fridge at 3 AM, only to find his brother about to eat you out on the couch.
âMatt-â you whine, as your back arches off the couch, one of your hands moving to grab Mattâs hair, the other trying and failing to hold back your moans. âMatt, please- nnggh- stop teasing.â
Chris feels all his blood rush down south and it leaves him lightheaded. The low lighting in the room accentuates the shadows of your body and he can see the muscles in your legs flex as your thighs clench around Mattâs head, trying to get him to move his mouth closer to where you want him. Youâre not in the tight black dress heâd seen you in earlier, but in a blue baby tee and black lace-trimmed hipster briefs. Thereâs an almost imperceptible quiver that wracks through your entire body in anticipation for whatâs to come.
Matt doesn't keep you waiting for long. Chris' breathing grows even more jagged as he watches Mattâs fingers push your panties to the side before he runs his tongue flat up your pussy. Chris can't see as much as heâd like to, but his overactive imagination does the job for him, imagining how wet you must be.
Chris feels like such a sick perv for still standing there, watching with wide eyes as Matt (his literal brother) enthusiastically licks and kisses your pussy, and he almost wonders how neither of you haven't noticed him yet. Then again, you and Matt seem so lost in each other, and now thereâs another ugly thought circling Chrisâ brain, one that makes his chest hurt a little.
He forgoes his Pepsi for the night and quietly returns back to his room, cock half-hard, and his heart just the slightest bit heavy.
3
âAlright, whatâs going on with you?â Nick asks him, while his eyes are still fixed on his phone.
He and Chris were sitting on the couch (Chris had been avoiding the section that you and Matt had used during your late night rendezvous), and Chris was idly flipping through his Netflix watch list.
âI don't know what you're talking about,â Chris says with a heavy sigh, slumping further into the couch.
Itâs quiet, and the silence makes Chris look up at Nick, who was already looking at him with a curious frown.
âSeriously, what the fuck is up with you?â Nick asks, and he actually looks concerned, which throws Chris off a bit. âYouâre usually bouncing off the walls and annoying the shit out of everyone in your nearest vicinity, but lately you've just been, I don't know- Iâm like actually worried, did something happen? Is everything okay?â
Chris swallows around the lump that had formed in his throat and takes a minute. To do what, he doesn't know. Itâs not like heâs going to prepare himself to tell Nick what heâd witnessed, twice, and how he was feeling about it. Really, how does one go about telling their triplet brother that theyâd accidentally witnessed their other brother in an intimate situation with said brotherâs partner, not once, but twice, and had enjoyed it, to the point of having nightly fantasies about it?
There were more complicated feelings lurking just under the surface, more than just Chris wanting to fuck you, but he did not have the mental bandwidth to unpack all that, so that was that. Itâs not like he had honest to god feelings-
âSee, at this point, you wouldâve been yapping away-â Nick says, interrupting his train of thought, â-but instead, youâre just sitting there, looking all sad and miserable.â
âOkay, I don't look sad and miserable,â Chris says with a roll of his eyes. At least, he hopes he doesn't. âIâm just tired dude. Haven't been sleeping well lately.â
âRight.â
âWhat? Itâs the truth.â
âDidn't say you were lying,â Nick says, matter-of-factually, in that signature Nick tone that lets everyone know when he isn't buying their bullshit.
âIâm fine,â Chris says slowly, waiting for Nick to stop looking at him so intensely.
âSure,â Nick drawls out. âYouâre also a shitty liar.â
âFuck you,â Chris grumbles, chucking the TV remote at Nick, who flails to try and dodge it, letting out an indignant squawk when it bounces off his shoulder and falls to the ground.
This, of course, results in Nick throwing whatever was closest to him at Chris, which happens to be an empty water bottle, and eventually they're just chucking it back and forth, cursing at each other in between laughter.
Itâs the most relaxed Chris has felt in weeks.
Too bad you had to walk in at that exact moment.
âHey guys!â you say cheerily, plopping down on the couch, next to Chris. Youâd stayed over for a couple of nights now, as you usually do, and Chris should be extremely used to your presence, except he feels his skin prickle as soon as your close to him, close enough for him to feel the warmth radiating off of your skin.
âGod, how are you so chipper every morning?â Nick asks, shaking his head with a poorly hidden smile.
You twirl a strand of your hair around your finger, and bit the corner of your bottom lip. âIt helps that I wake up to one of the hottest guys ever, and then get to hang out with his hot as fuck brothers,â you say with a smirk, waggling your eyebrows at Nick.
Chris wishes you hadn't just said that because now his mind wanders (more like sprints) to the memory of this morning, when heâd walked past Mattâs open bedroom. Heâd heard the telltale sounds of skin slapping against skin, and your voice, whining Mattâs name over and over, which had him stopping right before Mattâs door, eyes wide, mouth agape. This couldn't be happening right? There was no way heâd walked into this situation for a third time.
Chris debates on whether he should just turn back around, go downstairs, out the front door, and bash his head against a tree, or if he should soldier on and just walk past to get to his room.
The sounds were getting to him. His cock strained against his grey sweatpants, creating a very obvious tent. His clothes suddenly felt a size too small, the air around him too thick, and he felt sweat break out on his forehead. He should leave, run far, far away from his house probably, but a sick part of him wants more than anything to see whatâs got you moaning this time.
He rounds the corner and is met with a sight that almost has him falling to his knees.
Itâs unfair, how incredibly gorgeous you look straddling Mattâs thighs, bouncing on his dick rhythmically, your head thrown back. Youâre leaning back on your hands, supported on Mattâs knees, and Chris watches the way your body undulates as you swivel your hips, ribs flaring as your chest heaves. Every gasp you let out is a punch to Chrisâ gut, leaving him feeling winded.
Youâre so lost in the throes of pleasure that you don't hear when Chris groans out loud, but he knows exactly when Matt hears him, because his head rolls lazily towards him, his hands that had been grabbing your hips tightening, and thereâs little to no warning before Mattâs flipping you over and thrusting into you with vigor.
âDoes that feel good baby?â Chris hears Matt ask, his voice rough and low. âTell me how good my dick makes you feel.â
âFuck, so good, Matt- please, please, please-â your moans turning into whimpers as Mattâs thrust pick up in pace. Chris can tell exactly when Matt hits the bundle of nerves inside you that has you seeing stars because your back arches off his bed, hands scrambling to find purchase. Your fingers clench into the pillow above your head, as you beg Matt to go harder, faster.
Chrisâ eyes bounce back to Matt, whoâs watching you in awe, and heâs seen that look on his face numerous times before, like Matt can't get enough of you. Chrisâ breath hitches, because he wishes it was him, in Mattâs place. Him, worshiping you, making you feel good. He wishes he was the one that was ripping those sounds out of you.
He catches Mattâs eyes just then, and Chris has never wanted to punch him in the face more than he does in that moment, because it almost feels like heâs mocking Chris.
See what I have, what you so desperately wantâŠ
Chris holds up a middle finger, directed at Matt and whatever god was up there whoâd clearly forsaken him. He had half the mind to just yell but the last thing he wanted to do was embarrass you. So with a scathing look at Matt, and a mouthed fuck you, he walks to his room, the sound of Mattâs laughter the last thing he hears before Chris angrily slams the door and sheds his clothes, pumping his cock to the memory of your voice.
Itâs the hardest heâs cum all week.
4
Chris walks in on Matt pounding you against the wall leading to the garage. At this point, it had to be on purpose. The two of you had to be planning this, because how was it always Chris that ended up walking in on them, and not Nick? Knowing his brother, Nick wouldâve gone around voicing his disgust at having caught you and Matt fucking, any chance he got.
So, it had to be on purpose.
Mattâs whispering dirty things in your ear, loud enough for Chris to hear every word.
âYouâre so fucking pretty baby-â
âI want to ruin you, want you to feel me for days-â
âYouâre such a dirty little slut, arenât you?â and that has you letting out a particularly loud whine. The next bit Matt whispers into your ear is too inaudible for Chris to comprehend but he can tell how much it affects you, because you absolutely lose it just then.
Fuck this. Fuck all of this.
âCan yâall stick to fucking in Mattâs bed?â
At the sound of Chrisâ voice, you look up at him, startled, and itâs electrifying, your stare. Chris sees your eyebrows furrow, your lips, plump from being bitten (by yourself, or Matt, who cares at this point), fall open. Mattâs shoulders stiffen for a second, so Chris knows heâs aware that Chris is right behind them, but the asshole just keeps fucking going. And you, youâre still staring.
âChris-â you gasp, your nails digging into Mattâs shoulder. Chris thinks youâre going to push him away, scramble to pull yourself together.
You surprise him by pushing back down onto Mattâs cock with even more fervor, your hands moving up Mattâs neck to grab onto his hair, pulling hard.
Chris watches you cum on Mattâs cock for the first time that night, all while your eyes were locked on his.
5
Chris doesn't like being angry. He very rarely is. And usually, he gets over it really quick.
Which is why itâs shocking to everyone when he gets cold and hostile towards Matt seemingly out of nowhere, and the anger doesn't subside.
It gets in the way of their work. Filming becomes exhausting, and it leaves all three brothers feeling frustrated and annoyed at each other.
Itâs in the middle of filming a new car video when it all goes to head. Nick and Matt had attempted to film a video, but Chris couldnât hold back the jabs at Matt, interrupting him every time he spoke, insulting him for no reason whatsoever, which only made Matt retaliate just as hard.
âThatâs it-â Nick yells, his hands pushing his hair out of his face in frustration. âIâve fucking had it with you two. Iâm getting the fuck out of this car and the two of you are going to stay in here and talk. Donât even bother coming back in until you sort out whatever-â he gestures wildly between Matt and Chris, â-is going on with you two!â
And with that, Nick storms back into their house.
Chris stares out of the window with his arms crossed, seething. He can tell Matt is looking at him, can see part of his reflection on the window, but Chris isnât going to give him the satisfaction of breaking first.
Matt, much to Chrisâ annoyance, was completely calm and collected.
âChris-â Matt begins to say, but Chris just chucks his empty Pepsi can at him without looking. He hears it clatter against something (the steering wheel, he thinks), before dropping down onto the car floor with a dull thud.
Matt sighs, and Chris wants to yell, because Chris is the one that should be huffing and sighing, heâs the one thatâs tired of all this bullshit.
âAre you trying to prove something?â Chris asks, because he never could stay quiet for too long. âIs that it? What the actual fuck Matt?â
Chris had fully turned to face Matt, who at least had the decency to look somewhat abashed now. His face was tinged pinked, and he was fiddling with his rings.
Chris continues. âI donât know whatâs going on in your head, but if youâre just trying to get me to see sheâs your girl, I fucking get it, okay? Youâve made that really fucking clear. Did I say or do something to warrant this shit, because if you think Iâm out to get her, Iâm not, okay? Jesus- do you know how fucking insane-â
âShe wants you bro.â
Chris blinks. He opens his mouth, and then shuts it.
âI used to catch her staring at you sometimes, and there were times sheâd just keep scrolling through pictures of the two of us together- you and me, I mean- andâŠI donât know, sheâd have this look on her face.â Matt trails off. He looks at Chris, trying to gauge his reaction so far, but truth be told, Chris was still trying to process what Matt had initially said.
âWhatâŠ?â
âLook, the two of us are happy together. I love her, she loves me, but I think sheâŠâ Matt coughs out, and itâs the first time since this whole thing has started that Chris has seen Matt this awkward. âSheâs into you too. She never really told me, but it got pretty obvious after a while. And eventually, I- I started bringing you up, when we- um, yeah. She wants us both.â
Chris starts laughing. Because he doesnât know what else to do.
âAlright, good prank dude- Iâm still so fucking mad at you but-â
âIâm not kidding, Chris.â
Right. Because why would Matt joke about something like this?
âUmâŠâ
âYeahâŠâ
And thatâs how Chris finds himself back in Mattâs room. You and Matt were sitting on his bed, albeit a little far apart, meanwhile Chris had taken a seat in Mattâs gaming chair. Chris almost wants to call the two of you out on the pure torture youâd put him through the past few weeks, but one look at your face has him abandoning that train of thought.
You look soâŠremorseful. Youâre slightly curled in on yourself, like youâre bracing for some sort of attack, and Chrisâ heart melts. The last thing he wants is for you to feel upset, so he tries to lighten the mood.
âSo, do you just wanna see which one of us has the better dick or-?â
He smiles as you sputter, eyes wide as you finally look up at him.
âThere we go,â Chris whispers. âYouâre finally looking at me.â
âChrisâŠIâm so sorry,â you whisper, lips trembling. âGod, this is so stupid, why did we decide to tell him-â
âHey, hey-â Chris chides. âI think Iâve been kept in the dark long enough, actually. I just wish yâall hadnât used such a weird ass fucking way to tell me.â
âWell, to be fair, she didnât even know youâd seen us that first couple of times,â
âOh, god-â
â-And, we kinda assumed youâd take the fucking hint or something.â
âYeah, I thought the hint was âI know you wanna fuck my girl, so Iâm gonna make sure you catch us fucking every chance we get so you stay the fuck awayâ,â Chris says with a raised brow, staring deadpan at Matt.
âWait, what-â you start, but youâre interrupted by Matt.
âYeah, heâs wanted to fuck you for a while too.â
And that's how Chris finds himself with a front row view of Matt fucking you, up close and personal. Matt has you on all fours, facing Chris, while he pounds into you from behind, hard and deep. Each thrust punches a high-pitched moan out of you, and Chris watches, enraptured by the way you take it.
Chris watches to his heart's content that night, no longer worried about getting caught, no longer stressed about wanting to fuck you.
Chris watches you fall apart in Matt's hands over and over, and all he can think about is when he can finally have his turn.
+ 1
Theyâd had to wait for the perfect moment, a night they could be sure none of them would be interrupted.
They'd been planning for this night for a few days now, and it was finally here.
Chris and Matt stand side-by-side in front of Mattâs bed, arms crossed over their chest as they watch you squirm in his bed, their combined attention making you nervous. Theyâre both barely dressed, Chris in a black tank top and grey sweatpants, the front of which were already tented from his hard dick, while Matt was just in his black boxers. The low lighting of the room made Mattâs rings glisten as he rubbed at the stubble that heâd slowly allowed to grow on his face.
âHow are we feeling, baby?â Matt asks you, smirking at the way you visibly gulp. âYou ready for us?â
You sink your teeth into your bottom lip, looking up at Chris through your lashes before nodding.
Thatâs all the cue he needs.
Chris stalks over to you, slowly, climbing over the bed and crawling over you, his hands landing on either side of your head as he holds himself above you. You lay back, your hair fanning around your head on the pillow, your eyes wide as you wait for Chrisâ next move.
âCan I kiss you?â Chris asks, wetting his lips, and he doesnât have to wait long for his answer. Your fingers thread through his hair, pulling at the strands close to his nape, bringing his lips onto yours. The kiss is heady, a wild mess of tongue and teeth, because youâd both been waiting for this, dying for it, and here it was, finally happening.
âChris-â you gasp, open mouth sliding over the hot skin of his cheek as he lowers his head to the crook of your neck, biting harsh kisses into the skin there, before tracing his tongue across your jaw.
âFuck, fuck- you smell so good, I need you so bad ma-â Chris blabbers, his brain-to-mouth filter long gone. He vaguely registers Matt settling onto the bed, leaning against the headboard, as Chris kisses a path down your body, laving every inch of skin he can access with nips and kisses. You arch your back as Chris circles one of your nipples with his tongue, sucking on it as he flicks the other. He alternates between kissing and nipping your nipples, all the while, you have an almost painful grip on his hair, pushing your chest harder into his face.
Matt watches your face intently, seeing the way your features scrunch up in pleasure, mouth wide open as you gasp and whine. Thereâs a small part of him that knows he shouldnât be so okay with his own brother having his way with his girlfriend, but itâs almost like he gets a 4K view of what it might usually look like when Mattâs the one doing these things to you.
Chris continues his path downwards, fingers hooking into the sides of your panties and slowly, agonizingly slowly, pulling them off of you. Your legs instinctively squeeze shut when the cold air hits your wet core, but Chrisâs hands gently pry them open, staring at you in wonder.
âYouâre so fucking wet, fuck-â Chris groans, before licking a stripe up the seam where your thigh meets your crotch, so close to where you actually want his tongue.
âPlease, please-â you whimper, pushing your hips up closer to his lips, feeling his hot breath fan over you pussy. You hear both him and Matt chuckle, before Chris has his mouth on you, licking the wetness gathered in your folds. All you can hear is the blood rushing in your ears and the obscene sounds of Chrisâs mouth as he eats you out like a man starving.
Itâs almost too much, the way heâs sucking on your clit, before pushing his tongue into you, his face pushed deep, youâre sure he canât breath. The pleasure builds, heat pooling low in your stomach. You feel Mattâs fingers brush against your forehead, pushing the hair that was starting to stick to it from all the sweat.
âYou feel good baby?â Matt asks, tone soft, but his eyes glint dangerously. âOne of us wasnât enough for you, was it? Youâre such a dirty girl, wanting me and my brother.â
You whine, head pushing against his thigh closest to your head. Chris laughs, pulling his head back to chime in.
âGreedy little slut, thatâs what she is,â he says, cheeks rosy and face glistening from the nose down, his chin absolutely soaking wet. âYou gonna cum soon ma?â
You donât even know what you respond with, just that Chris goes back to eating you out, this time, bringing his fingers to your entrance, sliding one finger, then two, into your sopping wet cunt as he licks random paths across your folds, occasionally circling your clit and sucking on it harshly, all while thrusting his fingers in and out of you, causing you to buck your hips up wildly. Your orgasm, only the first one of the night, is fast approaching, and your thighs clench around Chrisâ head. The only warning he gets is a sudden yell of his name before you gush all over his face.
âDid you just- did she just squirt?â Chris asks, eyes wide as he takes in the mess that youâd made. His face and neck were now fully wet, and there was a perfectly round wet spot right underneath you. His fingers flutter over your now slightly puffy pussy, watching your folds quiver.
âFuck, itâs too much- Chris, wait,â you whine, hands moving to grab Chrisâ wrist. He doesnât stop with his ministrations though, fingers pumping in and out of you, prodding at the bundle of nerves inside you that caused your vision to white out. It was fast, intense, and Chris manages to pull a second orgasm out of you before youâd even managed to catch your breath from the first one.
Chris sits up on his knees, reaching his arms behind him and pulling his tank top off, throwing it behind him. He hooks his arms around your thighs before pulling you down the bed, closer to him, allowing Matt to slot himself behind you.
âCan you turn over for me ma?â Chris asks with a gentle pat against your hip. It takes some effort, your limbs feel loose and languid, but you manage to flip onto your stomach. Hands grab your face, tipping your head up, and you see your boyfriend looking at you with a smirk, tongue peeking out to run across his teeth.
âEnjoying yourself, sweetheart?â he asks, voice like dripping honey with a hint of something razor-sharp. âThis everything you imagined?â
âYes- oh god, Matt- I need you, please-â
âYou have me baby,â he coos. âYou have me and Chris. Thatâs what you wanted, right? âCause one dick was never enough to keep you satisfied.â
âNgghh- please, please, I-â you whimper, mouthing at Mattâs dick through his boxers, startled when you feel a sudden smack against your ass, pain blossoming across your skin.
âIf sheâs already this cock dumb, I wonder how sheâs gonna get when we actually get our dicks in her,â Chris wonders out loud with an amused huff, palming at your ass cheeks as he rubs his clothed dick against it.
You continue begging, your pussy soaking wet and clenching around nothing in anticipation for whatâs to come, hips arching off the bed while your back dips low, shoulders tucked between Mattâs spread thighs as you lick him through the only piece of fabric that is keeping you from tasting him, from having his cock fill your mouth.
Chris smooths his palm down your back, making you arch your back even further, before he spreads your cheeks, seeing the way you twitch at being put on display.
âI think sheâs waited long enough, hasnât she?â Matt asks Chris, nodding his head slightly as if to tell Chris to get on with it. Chris doesnât waste any time pushing his sweats down his thighs, freeing his cock. You turn your head back to try and peek at it from over your shoulder, but Matt has a firm hand on your head pushing you towards his crotch while he pulls his dick out of his boxers. With one hand holding the back of your head, and the other around his dick, Matt slaps it against your cheek, amused at the way you so desperately try and get him to guide his cock into your mouth instead.
Simultaneously, Chris is behind you, rubbing the tip of his dick through your folds, gathering the wetness there. Above you, you feel Matt lean towards his dresser, before rifling through the top drawer and chucking something at Chris. Thereâs a sound of a bottle cap clicking open, and lube being squeezed out, before you hear the squelch of it as Chris spreads it over his dick.
Later, youâll think they must have planned this head of time, but both Matt and Chris decide to push their dicks into you at the same time, Matt feeding you his cock, pushing past your lips, applying gentle pressure to the back of your head, while Chris spreads your folds apart and drives his dick into you, the tip catching inside you for a moment, before he thrusts his hips and pushes his dick deeper into you.
âLook at that,â Chris says, smacking the palms of both his hands onto your cheeks at the same time, before kneading at them. âShe takes dick really fucking well.â
âItâs like sheâs made for it, isnât she?â
Chris fucks you like he has all the time in the world, savoring the feeling of your pussy clenching around him, fascinated by the sight of his dick disappearing in you at every thrust. You stretch around him so beautifully, and youâre so fucking tight, he wonders how he managed to fit it all in you in one go.
At the other end, Matt watches you with soft affection as you suck on his cock, tears streaming down your face from the exertion on your body and minimal air supply. At every thrust of Chrisâ hips, you would get pushed closer to Matt, which would push his dick deeper into your mouth, making you almost gag on it.
You have no concept of time anymore, or where your body starts and Chrisâ and Mattâs end. You feel like one big mess of limbs, moving fluidly, with the common purpose of chasing your orgasm. You hear Mattâs groans getting louder above you, and you know heâs getting close. Youâre not far behind yourself, but Chris still seems like heâs nowhere close to being done.
Pulling your mouth off of Mattâs cock, you circle your hand around the base of it, before stroking your hand up and down, twisting it around the head. You swipe your thumb across the slit at the top while you tongue at the underside of the head, all while looking up at Matt through hooded eyes.
âCum on my face, Matt, please-â you beg, mouth slightly open, a line of spit connecting your tongue to his dick. Chris' thrusts are picking up, but you keep your elbows planted firmly on the bed below to keep yourself steady for Matt. Thereâs a tingle building low in your spine, but you focus on Matt, the way he looks at you with his eyebrows furrowed, bottom lip pulled between his teeth. His hair is a mess, and his body is flushed. The hand he has on your head grips your hair tight, and the other joins your hand in pumping his dick. It only takes a few more seconds of that before Matt lets out a loud groan of your name, spurts of thick, hot cum landing across your face, and you close your eyes as it drips down your face, some of it landing on your tongue.
Matt leans back heavily against the headboard, and before you can register anything, youâre being flipped onto your back, face still covered in Mattâs cum. Your shoulders hit Mattâs chest as Chris crowds against you on the bed, his hands now on the back of your knees, pushing your legs back against your chest, before thrusting his dick back into you.
The sudden shift has you blinking back stars, and this new angle has Chrisâ dick brushing against your sweet spot on every thrust, and all you can do is sob at the immense pleasure you feel. Matt circles his arms around you, one hand playing with one of your nipples, while the other moves down your stomach and edges closer to your clit. The tingling sensation grows, and grows, your hands scrambling to find purchase on Chrisâ shoulders as he thrusts particularly deep into you before you finally snap, screaming as your third orgasm is ripped from you, the force of it pushing Chrisâ cock out of you as you squirt all over him, yourself, and the bed, legs shaking uncontrollably.
Youâre fully gasping and sobbing now, the intensity of your orgasm wracking through your whole body. You watch through hooded, teary eyes, as Chris leans over you, furiously stroking his cock as he soaks in the view of you, hot and messy, ruined because of him, before he too eventually reaches his orgasm, cum pulsing out of him and landing high on your chest, across your nipples, one spurt even hitting your chin.
The three of you are a heaping mess of limbs after, all basking in the afterglow of a night well spent, tired, but satiated. Matt and Chris lay on either side of you, stroking whatever part of your skin they can reach, occasionally batting each otherâs hands away and pulling you closer to either side, like youâre not all squished together already.
âWe should do that again sometime,â you say after a long beat of silence. Matt snorts, eyes closed, but the corners of his lips are quirked up in a small smile.
âYâall are crazy if you think Iâm never fucking you again after I just got a taste,â Chris states. âBesides, I think thereâs a lot of lost time I need to make up for, hm?â
After that night, Chris gets to have his turn with you, over and over. Sometimes, Matt is present, and the brothers somehow always turn things into a competition of who can make you cum the quickest, who can make you cum multiple times, who can make you absolutely incoherent by the end of the night.
Now Chris had his own reason for always being so chipper in the morning. It helps that he finally gets to fuck the hottest girl heâs seen, who just happens to also be fucking his brother.

Stepbrother's Room.
Erick never liked the idea of going to live with his stepfather and stepbrother, but his mother thought differently, So here he is, living with his stepbrother and stepfather for 1 month now.
The ideas he had about James (his stepfather) changed a lot since he started living with him, he no longer found him stressful or grumpy, But Gio (his stepbrother) made his life difficult, whenever he crossed paths with him he would make fun of him, calling him a faggot, 4 eyes and all those cliché insults.
But that was not the worst, Erick endured all the insults, the worst was yet to come when his mother and stepfather said that he was going to stay with his stepbrother since they were going on their honeymoon, Erick didn't want this to happen. now just imagining that it would only be the two of them alone, Erick began to tremble.
The day arrived, his mother and stepfather packed and left the two boys at home, Gio turned to look at Erick while smiling at him and giving him a grimace.
"They're really crazy if they think I'm staying with you, you f*ggot freak"
Gio commented as he got up from the couch and walked out the door, leaving Erick alone watching TV.
"Better for me, home alone and without having to put up with you"
Erick commented in a low tone while Gio closed the door.
The hours passed, Erick finished watching TV, ate alone, washed his dishes and that's how he went to sleep knowing that tomorrow he wouldn't see Gio either until his parents arrived, He went to bed with a smile and closed his eyes.
The night passed and the day began to shine, the sun began to set through the window as the clock rang, Erick yawned, wiped his eyes and got out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom, It was time to take a shower since he didn't do it yesterday because he was lazy.
Once he finished showering, he went to his closet to put on his favorite outfit, a blue shirt, his short red shorts, and his boxers, but when he looked for his clothes he couldn't find anything and wrinkled his face.
"Mom must have made a mistake and put my clothes in that idiot's room... Damn it" Erick cursed as he went to Gio's room, when he opened the door the smell of hormones, exercise, and sweat invaded his nose.
But what surprised Erick the most was that there were no clothes lying around and everything was in order, Erick knew that Gio was the typical dumb straight jock so why was his room so clean and tidy?
He shook his head, he didn't come for that, he just came to get his clothes, but something was calling his attention, on his bed there was a transparent male thong and a toy, so Erick approached.
When he grabbed the toy he was surprised, it was a rubber sex toy from a woman's intimate part, he grabbed the thong and smelled it, it had the smell of Gio, Even though he was his stepbrother, Erick began to fall in love with Gio, and how could he not? Gio was tall, muscular, bearded, and had just turned 25 years old.
The moment Erick smelled Gio's thong he head started to spin and a heat began to grow in him while his small 5-centimeter cock became erect and hard, His head moved on its own as Erick looked at Gio's toy, he climbed onto the bed and sat down as he began to insert his cock into the fake rubber entrance.
His hands began to rise with the toy between them as Erick moaned in pleasure but he knew something was wrong, He would never get excited by seeing a sex toy, much less a p*ssy he was homosexual, not heterosexual, He tried to stop but it was as if his hands were moving on their own.
""Fuck... No, this-this is wrong... But.. DAMN IT, this feels so good" Erick commented between moans and gasps.
While Erick had his eyes closed, his body began to change, his feet began to grow in size until they reached a large 16 size, while a masculine smell came out of them and hair too.
His legs and thighs also underwent a change, his once thin legs were now full of muscles, they looked like trunks, capable of breaking a watermelon, A layer of hair also came out on them.
His buttocks, which were of a normal size, began to enlarge as his hole began to close, No one would ever put a cock in his ass again, now he had two buttocks like bubbles, big and firm.
His stomach started to burn as all the baby fat he had started to disappear to make way for a well-worked, firm and desired 6-pack of abs.
His chest, which was thin and flaccid, began to expand outwards as two large and sensitive pectorals began to emerge, he now had 2 large pectorals created by the gods.
His torso began to expand as well to give him a more masculine, more jock look.
Erick wasn't realizing this, the only thing he had in mind was feeling that toy p*ssy around his hard cock.
His back began to expand to give him a more manly and mature look, while muscles also began to emerge on it, his shoulders also lengthened.
His biceps and arms began to change, his biceps began to enlarge to look like the size of balls and his arms began to fill with hair while now his veins were more noticeable.
His hands began to grow larger as he held the toy, his fingers lengthening as they now looked more masculine, while veins also popped out.
His Adam's apple became more noticeable, making his moans more manly and masculine.
Next was his face, it started to change and his bones started to crack as his whole face changed, His jaw became slimmer and more defined, his lips grew a little in size while his nose was now cuter, his eyes that were green changed to a brown color, A 5 o'clock beard started to appear on his jaw making him look hotter and more handsome.
His hair that was almost blonde in color began to lose its shine as a new color began to bloom in his hair, a brown color, His haircut also changed, giving it a more masculine and jock cut.
His Adam's apple stood out, making his moans sound much more mature and masculine, when he heard his new voice he opened his eyes, he recognized this voice as Gio's voice.
The moment he saw the mirror in front of him, he was surprised, there was Gio jerk off in his bed, but... Gio was not at home, there was only him.
"What the fuck!? Gio? What's going on?" Erick commented while continuing to jerk off.
But before Erick could react, he saw his cock grow larger and thicker as he was about to break the toy.
"No... It can't be, I can't be Gio, I can't be that idiot!
But just then he came inside the fake p*ssy, causing his past self to come out along with his c*m.
"FUCK... That felt so fucking great... Ryan didn't lie to me that a fake p*ssy was better than a real one, good thing that freak f*ggot isn't here, house to myself"
gio took his cock out of the toy, he cleaned and got out of bed putting on his thong, Once he put on his thong he sat back down on his bed waiting for his stepbrother to arrive so he could continue harassing him.

Chasing the bounty hunter (Day 5/8 of the 10k followers event)
Griffin x gn!reader || primal play, chasing, breeding, cum inflation, size difference || tw: kidnapping
When he captured you, you were surprised about it. You followed him for days, tracking all his movements, being on his tail until you were almost ready to catch it⊠But he got to you first. You werenât expecting him to turn around and chase you down. And above all, you werenât expecting the rush of adrenaline and heat that the chase gave you.
He captured you and brought you to his house in the mountains, you didnât know what you were expecting but a cottage-core cabin with enough greenery to be a botanical garden wasnât it. You were surprised about it, too. And what shocked you the most was how nice he was. He captured you because you were following him, because he knew there was a price on his head and you were a bounty hunter. He knew all of that, but instead of killing you on sight, he captured you to keep you around. It felt a bit insulting that he treated you almost like a pet⊠But it also made something inside of you burn hotter than the sun.
He insisted on you going away, but you didnât want to. If you went back to the village, you would have to explain why the griffin wasnât with you, how you let him escape⊠And someone else would end up trying to catch him. So you stayed. (You didnât think too much about how it just felt right to be with him, how comfortable you were in his houseâŠ)
You spent there about two weeks by the time you wanted nothing else but to climb him like a tree. The house was immense, perfect for his big body but a bit difficult with your human size. He didnât mind though, he helped you get everything, he cooked for you, and he let you his nest to sleep at night. It took you four days to convince him you should sleep in the nest together, there was enough space. If you woke up sprawled over him, it was just an unconscious thing⊠right?
But without realizing, feelings started to grow. You became tender of him, every little quirk he had made you melt inside, and you knew he felt the same way. He kept looking at you with fire in his eyes, but also with a fondness so deep that made your heart beat faster and faster.
It took you two a month to kiss for the first time. His beak was a weird feeling against your mouth, but in a way⊠it worked. It worked and it felt great and made you moan against him, your body melting as he grabbed your waist and pulled you up against his body. It was exhilarating.
âI want us to fuck,â you blurted as he took the weeds out of the garden. You were sitting in the shade because he was worried your fragile skin would get burned.
He didnât even turn around to answer. âWe canât.â
But you werenât having any of his nonsense. âOh yes⊠Yes, we can. Definitely can. I want to. You want to. We can.â He turned around then, his eyes tracking your every movement as he checked for your reactions. You bet he was checking for your vitals signs with his super-senses.
âYou are so tiny. I would break you,â he told you, his voice leaving no room for argument.
But if you were something was stubborn as fuck. âAnd I would say thank you after,â you teased, being more than okay with him squeezing you if that meant getting him to fuck you senseless. âCome on, dude, you want it. I want it. Let me have that good, good griffin dick.â You knew he would appreciate your bluntness, but also that it would make his proper self get all blush-y.
He looked so flustered that you wanted to giggle. âYou were sent to capture me.â Well, he had a point there, but at the moment you wanted nothing else but to be chased. And to be captured.
âBut you captured me first. And now I donât want to capture you anymore, I like you⊠I- I might love you,â you confessed, your heart beating fast. His face was unreadable, but you didnât leave him room to say anything before you continued talking. âAnd I want to fuck you until we are both breathing hard and covered in fluids.â
âThat- That sounds disgusting,â he said in a joking tone.
âStop being a lying liar who lies. Donât you want me?â You asked, analyzing his body for any response to that question. He nodded intensely, his big body moving with the inertia. You giggled and nodded, too. âHave me, then.â
He was doing the freaky vital signs again to look for some kind of signal that you were lying, when he didnât find any, he asked: âAre you sure?â
âYes.â
He didnât look that convinced, always worried about your humanity. âBut what ifâŠâ You didnât let him finish that thought.
âIâm gonna stop you right there. Iâm gonna run, and you are gonna chase me, and when you get me, I hope to be pounded into the ground until Iâm full of cum and my legs donât function anymore.â His face was like a poem, a filthy, filthy poem. You could see his nostrils dilating as he imagined the picture you just formed for him. You were so ready to be fucked senseless. âOkay?â You asked again, wanting to make sure he wanted it as much as you did.
âYes.â He agreed, his eyes burning with desire. âNow run.â His growl was enough to send hot lava through your veins, excitement and arousal filling your insides until you were trembling as you bolted from there.
You ran through the forest like a soul followed by the devil. First you couldnât hear a single noise over your heartbeat, but as the house disappeared in the distance, the forest around you became alive. You could feel everything. The sound of little animals, the sound of the breeze moving the leaves and the flowers, the smell of dirt and spring in the air⊠and the metallic taste of your fear and arousal. You knew he was behind you, you could feel him following you but couldnât see him. The excitement of the chase was making you all kinds of turned on.
Your heart was beating so hard you feared he could hear it, he probably could. And you knew his scenting was a lot better, so he could probably track you just by arousal alone. You were so horny at the moment that you could scream.
âI can smell your arousal, smells like honey.â You could hear him inhale behind you, growling at every intake of breath. âYou want to be caught that bad?â His voice was teasing, like nothing youâd heard before. He was always so proper⊠But right then he sounded like sex and wildness, and that made you even hotter.
You kept running, but you didnât get too far. When he caught you, he pushed you to the ground, his big body covering you. His breathing was labored behind you, and you smirked, knowing he was as affected as you with your little chase-scene. He ripped your clothes off and you groaned, mourning the lose of your shirt and pants for a total of three seconds before you felt the tip of his dick against your hole and you cried out.
He pinned you to the ground and started entering you, bit by bit until he was settled so deep inside you could feel him at the back of your throat. So big, so wild. âYou okay?â He whispered, always the gentleman.
âYes. Fuck me.â He didnât have to be told twice.
He fucked you like a madman, in and out at the speed of light as he grunted and growled and went feral over you. Telling you how good your hole felt, how amazing you were and how glad he was he captured you that day. You were dizzy with desire and pleasure.
He made you come twice before he came inside of you, just like you asked. You knew it would be a lot, but you werenât expecting the sheer amount of cum⊠He filled you until your stomach was bloated and you were a messy drooling body over the forest floor. You were drunk on his cum, and you didn't want to analyze how much of a cum-slut you discovered you were in that exact second.
He didnât pull out. His dick still hard was nested inside of you as he breathed hard against your ear and you whimpered. Your stomach felt too big, your hole too raw⊠But that didnât stop him from fucking you full over again, making you cum twice more in the process, the filthy sounds of his cum dripping around his dick were exhilarating.
And when he said: âI might love you, too.â Your world shattered into a million pieces once again.

What about Y/N and reader having a little baby girl. Sukuna was disappointed at first because he wanted another boy. But she becomes so attached to her papa since she was a baby. Like she sees cuts on his hands (she doesnât realize he can use RCT yet) and tries to treat his wounds đ„șđ«¶đœ
~đȘœ
I though tumblr ate your ask when I scrolled 5 times and could find it and I panicked so hard đ So cute đ„ș Im pretty sure weâre going with Anya, but I suck at catching her personality so Iâm just going to go with general daughter reactions for this đ„čđ€đ€
(Note: I tried, but I feel like Iâm always lacking in the daughter area. Maybe I need to borrow my niece ;-; also, its a little shortâŠ) finally back into it tho đ
Your room fell silent, the cries filling the air were almost piercing. You felt like you knew this was bound to happen. Yuji was a miracle, but your second child was born a girl. You knew Sukuna had only ever cared about having heirs, so in the silence you were on edge of what he would say or do.
It was strange watching him in that moment, she was crying in his arms, he was staring at her with that black expression that always appeared like a frown. He shouldnât have been so openly disappointed, he knew from the start when your stomach started to swell and he hadnât noticed until he touched your round belly. The child in your stomach had not an ounce of cursed energy to leave a presence, much less for him to be able to tell what it could be. Yet he held out hope for a boy, even if the lack of his presence was due to a heavenly restriction, he could work with that. But no, the little pink haired girl crying and screaming in his arms was enough to leave him perplexed. He shook his head, handing her over to you, you watched him while you began to breastfeed your daughter.
âSukuna..â your voice was a whisper followed by a cringe of feeling like your insides were coming out. You wanted to comfort your husband but you didnât feel right. âSukuna,â your lower stomach kicked in painful cramps, and everything moved in a rush. Sukuna was pushed out of the room and heard the panic of your caretakers clearly.
â- â- â- â- â-
The day had passed and he sat outside your room, they had persisted he did not pass. So he sat out there waiting until the early hours of sunrise when they brought out his daughter. He took her in his hands, you couldnât see it past her pink hair and eyes, but to Sukuna she had your face. She was small and round but to him, she looked so similar he was in disbelief you had won over that part of his genes.
He sat there all day, holding her to his chest, while his head leaned back against the wall. His eyes were closed but he couldnât sleep, he couldnât rest, he could tell you were alive, but it felt like you were just barely there. He looked down in his arms, the little bundle of clothes moving around slightly as your daughter moved, crying out. He wanted to hand it off to a servant as his hand came up to uncover her face more to look at her, that was until her hand slipped out taking a tight hold of finger. She stopped crying for a moment just sniffling, her little nails falling digging into his skin. âCome, stop your crying.â His free arm came to lightly run over his little wrinkly cheeks, âmy child.â He was looking at her with such a soft look, the servants found it endearing. It was then he decided he would take care of her as he did Yuji, his child, his pride.
â- â- â- â- â-
Years passed, and you were outside with Yuji. Watching Anyaâs big eyes growing in size as an emperor butterfly slowly fluttered around the garden. It had been a month since Sukuna had left on one of his little excursions, you were curious why his supposed two week trip became a month long trip. But you had your 13 year old Yuji who was laying in your lap passed out from his own Ventures of the day and your 3 year old girl keeping you busy, you didnât feel as lonely as when it was just yourself. âMama!â Your hand kept running though Yujiâs hair, âYes sweetheart?â Your little girl came running up to you, âPapa!â You could see the stars in her eyes as she pointed behind her, past the garden. You looked seeing the all too familiar and burly silhouette in the distance. You faked a gasp, âIt is papa! Heâs almost home. Do you wanna go get him the sweets you made?â She perked up more, âYeah!â You watched as she ran off inside the house singing a song as her steps padded on the ground. Yuji slowly sat up, eyes squinty as he looked around âDad?â You laughed while rubbing his head, âYes.â
You started to get up, Yuji rushing up and offering to help you as you struggled to get up, âmy leg is tired from being in one place too long.â You laughed and Yuji grinned, âSorryâ was tired.â
You simply rubbed his head, âItâs fine, go get your sister, sheâs been away for a while already.â
Yuji ran off to find his sister while you tried to ignore the feeling in your legs. You moved closer to the edge of the garden Sukuna was approaching in fresh blood, the closer he became the more you noticed the minor scrapes and cuts on his body. You rolled your eyes with a smile, he shrugged off the top of his robes once he had realised your eyes were trained on his body. It would be a lie to say you didnât find him attractive in this form of glory, but for the sake of your kids you wouldnât touch his chest and give him that look. It was when he stood in front of you that your dominant hand pulled your handkerchief from your obi, your free hand cradling his face before cleaning his face of the foreign contaminant.
âI see my husband is home, sturdy, well and revelling in his victories.â You hummed as you finished cleaning his face, pulling him towards you gently so you could kiss him. As you pulled away from what was going to be a soft kiss he pulled you back in to catch your lips longer, âMhm.â Was all
He hummed against your lips, aside from the hand on your head, two of his free hands came to your waist to pull you closer. Placing your hands on his chest you pushed yourself back a little to stare up at him, âYour little girl has been asking and crying for you to come back. She even made you a little treat everyday for when you arrived.â He hummed, eyeing you, your hands moving to rest on his biceps, âThey should be here. I sent her in to retrieve what she worked so hard on.â Your head turned exposing your neck to him, his last free hand coming up to run his nails over the tender flesh, âIâm sure sheâll be back soon enough, as for now Iâm craving the feeling of something else.â His hand angled your head away, teeth and lips running over the plush pulse point on your neck, until he huffed at your resistance, âhow impervious.â He pulled away, hands sliding from your waist as he looked away visibly upset. You couldnât fight the smile, âWe should go, it might be a waste waiting longer out here then if we go find them.â
â- â- â- â- â-
Thatâs how you ended up in this situation. Yuji was sitting by his dad with a big smile listening to the story of how he single-handedly levelled another city. Anya was sitting on his lap bouncing along as his body shook when heâd let out a louder laugh or was jostled around with his movements. That was until she noticed the smallest cut on his stomach and let out a loud gasp making all of you turn to look at her.
âPapa! Youâre hurt!â Sukuna looked down, seeing the small surface wound that left a red line of broken skin over his side stomach. âOh, I suppose I a-PAPA NEEDS BANDAGESâ she was rushing off feet pattering over the floor as Yuji mumbled, âBut.. canât dad use reverse cursed techniqueâŠâ he looked confused as he closed his eyes tilting his head to the side. You looked at your husband who sighed with a faint twitch at his lips and placed a hand on Yujiâs head messing up his already tousled hair. âInteresting, I remember another brat with pink hair who did the exact same thing.â Yuji smiled under the weight of his fathers hand.
Anya came running in with a bowl of water spilling everywhere and other things tucked under her little arm. You watched as Ryomen steadied her after she spilt water onto his lap trying to clean his wounds as she had watched you done when your husband would crave your attention and purposely not heal his own wounds leaving you to tend to him. He cringed as more water spilt onto his lap as she un purposely smacked his stomach with a soaking rag rubbing at the small flesh wound, Yuji tried not to laugh as you laughed quietly behind your hand watching as Sukuna tried to help only for Anya to yell at him âNo! I can do it papa! Youâre hurt!â
The screen was cute as he cringed more at the cold water, relieved when she stopped only to become stressed when she pulled out the roll of wraps. She had seen you use those wraps on Yuji many times when he would become injured or hurt. What she didnât see was how her father was much larger in size, those tiny wraps wouldn't circle his waist even once.
When they couldn't, Anya became frantic, rushing to jump off her father and run to get more bandages. This was until Ryomen caught her mid jump, âLemme go daddy! Need more wraps!â He sat her back on his lap, âNo you donât brat, I'll show you something better.â
Anya looked up at her dad with glossy eyes and a wobbly lip, âPress your hands here.â You watched as he guided her small hands to his stomach over the wrap, âPut all your force behind it.â She forced her eyes closed, pressing both her hands against his stomach with all her little muscle. Using the slightest bit of his reversed cursed technique he pulled her hands away, âSee.â Her eyes opened slowly and the red mark on his stomach was gone. Her eyes lit up as she looked up at him, âI DID IT!â Ryomen couldnât fight back the twitch of his lips that pulled into a smile, âYou did.â Her hands clasped together with starry eyes, her stare locked on Yuji, âI can fix you.â

" why is your mom calling you she hasn't called you in 7 months " scott anderson says rubbing his face repeatedly his fingers shaking, his other hand is in a fist digging his nails in the palm of his hand. he walks away from jj who's tied up on the floor with her feet and hands wrapped in rope. the grip on your phone tightens.
" she's calling me because it was my aunts birthday scott." you say looking at scott in the eyes. he stands up biting his nails. " your lying to me." he says walking to you, his eyes dark. you wish his eyes at-least looked like they had nothing behind them, but his eyes definitely have something behind them.
his eyes look determined. they looked commited. and heâs looking at you. your eyes widen. your hands become sweaty. you take a step back. â iâm not lying to you scott.â you respond back gently shaking your head. you raise your eyebrows softly smiling at him. â i wouldnât lie to you scott.â you say the grip on your hand tightening to the point where your hand is shaking.
his gaze softens for a second, his eyes aren't so dark now. his eyebrows soften. " you wouldn't lie to me y/ n?" he whispers gently walking up to you. you nod gulping, " ÂĄ wouldn't lie to you scotty" you whisper smiling. he smiles. taking another step towards you. you take a deep breath in.
"y-your doing a great job y/n" spencer's shaky voice speaks into the phone. it's the only thing keeping you sane right now. he sounds nervous. you can hear him gulp repeatedly. he's stuttering a lot right now. he's probably blinking a lot. a habit he has when he's nervous. a habit you've absorbed from afar. " your doing a really really great job y/n. i'm so proud of you." no he shouldn't have said that. he should not have said that. he shouldn't have said that. you tear up. why are you tearing up? you can't tear up right now. not right now. please not right now.
your throat feels heavy. your heart feels heavy. a part of you feels funny. your ears feel funny, never having heard those words before. your brain is trying to process the words. it can't process them. it's funny though. no matter how much insane messed up stuff you've heard on the job none of it really ever seemed to take a toll on you. but hearing those 5 words. it's taking a toll on you. and it's not the right time. why are they so triggering. what are they triggering? the inner child inside of you who never got to hear those words? the teen inside of you who never got to hear those words? or is it adult you who still hadn't heard those words up until now? it's too much. why are you tearing up?
â why are you crying.â scott says. something in his eyes has changed. oh god. his eyes darken. his eyebrows tighten. heâs shaking his head smiling. â what is your mom saying? why is she making you cry? do you want me to kill her?â he says with pleading eyes smiling. heâs taking a step towards you. â or are you not talking to your mom right nowâŠâ he mumbles. your eyes widen. you shake your head. â orâŠyour not calling your mom you bitch!â he shouts taking another step towards you. you donât have time to react. he grabs you by the neck slamming you against the wall. his hand tightens around your neck.
you choke on your words. the tears that gathered up finally start to fall. your free hand wraps around scott's arm thats choking you. you repeatedly hit his arm. " please stop." you plead shaking your head. his grip tightens on your neck. " your a liar. your just like him." he spits his gaze darkening. he grabs your phone throwing it across the room. it knocks over a glass vase.
"ÂĄ'm not like him." you choke out shaking your head. " shut up! yes you are!" he shouts in your voice, spit getting on your face.
" let her go!" ji shouts from the floor. her voice cracks mid sentence. probably due to fear. watching you struggle is affecting her. just watching you struggle makes her feel as though she is the one struggling.
scott turns his head around. " what did you just say?" he says slowly releasing you. you take a deep breath in. you look at scott. another wave of fear hits you. what's he gonna say to jj? what's he gonna do to jj? she shouldn't have said anything. she should've kept quiet. he can't hurt her. you have to do something.
" i said let her go. you can't hurt her. she's what you want right? you can't hurt her. why would you hurt someone you love?" jj says her eyes darting between you and scott. to scott she looks desperate, to you. you know what jj's trying to say with her eyes.' we will be fine. seeing ji look at you like that. a rush of adrenaline hit you. you have got to do something. why are your hands so weak. why do you feel as though you don't have control of your body. why do you feel as though you can't control anything. damn it.
" you show love by hurting the ones you love." he whispers. you slowly reach for the gun in your pocket, trying not to alert him. and god is it hard " y/ n would know." he says chuckling. your so close to the gun. " isn't that right y/n?" he turns around to look at you. he sees your hand. he sees the hand thats reaching for the gun. he grabs your gun. your hand immediately forms into a fist, you punch him in the jaw. he falls back. holding his jaw. " you bitch!" he shouts.
you run to jj. you drop down to your knees. your shaky hands immediately start to undo the knots of the rope. "jj you need to get out." you say out of breathe. your trembling hands making it harder to undo the rope quickly. " no- what. y/n dont. i'm not leaving without you. the team is coming t-they're on their way y/n. ji says shaking her head in denial. her hands are untied. " god jj! i always follow your orders! just follow mine! just this once." you snap back moving onto her legs. you untie her. " get out of here now jj! he wont hurt me jj. hes obsessed with me he wont. trust me." you say nodding.
jj hasn't been a profiler for a long time. anyone else on the team would've called you out for your bullshit right now. if he wanted to hurt you. he definitely would. he would do anything to get you to be obedient. he could probably kill you if he wanted to. but jj doesn't know that. she thinks he's just a stalker who's obsessed with you and probably wouldn't seriously harm you. but you know unsubs like him all too well.
ji stands up running to the door. she opens the door. she turns to look at you again. you look at her and smile. " just go." you mouth. she quickly nods running out and closing the door. a wave of relief washes over you. jj is fine. jj is okay. jj is safe. he can't hurt jj anymore.
your not fine. your not okay. your not safe. he can keep hurting you. you turn around. he's standing right behind you. he's looking down at you. he's standing tall. his eyes are on you. his expression is dark. his eyes are empty. not a single thought behind his eyes. you were wrong. his eyes without a single thought behind them is scarier. because now you know, there's nothing really stopping him. there's no determination. there's no commitment. there's absolutely nothing behind those eyes. those eyes that are just about to do you harm.
â me looking down on youâŠdoes this remind you of anything?â he says tilting his head to the side smiling. you shake your head. but oh boy do you know exactly what heâs talking about. your dad. â oh right sorry. let me do something that will surely make you remember.â he says chuckling. he crouches down. he punches you right in the eye, your left eye. the one with the healed over stitches. you stiffen at his touch. not just because your scared of him. yeah of course your scared of him. but also because youâve never had someone touch you in such an intimate place. youâve never had someone grab your cheek and gently caress your scars.
he starts laughing. " oh my god let me see that" he gently grabs your cheek. tilting your head up towards him. he runs his finger on the scar. " he did that didnt he?" he whispers gently rubbing the scar. " he gave you this scar didnt he? i read it.. in one of your hospital records. he gave you this 2 weeks before he left right?" he whispers gently caressing the scar. your shaky hands reaches for his cheek.
he stiffens at your touch. he's just like you. " he gave this to you..right?" you whisper, gently caressing the cut on his lips. scott nods. " you and me.we are the same y/n. we both grew up in the same households. we both put up the same abuse. we..we are meant for each other y/n. your meant for me. and i'm meant for you." he whispers caressing your cheek gently. you nod.
" yeah.yeah we belong together." you mumble nodding gently.
i thought so too..until i saw a picture of you and your co worker spencer reid together." he whispers softly still smiling. your eyes widen. " w-what." you mumble. he chuckles, " yeah.i saw a picture of you two together. it was when you and your team were working that case in chicago." he whispers tightening his grip on your cheek. you shake your head.
" s-spencer? spencer reid? he-he means absolutely nothing to me." you say gently reaching for his hand. " don't lie to me." he whispers tearing up. " i'm not lying to you scott." you whisper rubbing your thumb gently against his arm. " your lying to
me. all you do is lie. your just like him." he whispers tears rolling down his cheeks. " i'm not like him scott." you whisper shaking your head, trying to calm him.
" your just like him.you lying bitch." he shakes his head standing up, forcefully pulling you up with him. his fingers dig deeply into your cheeks, surely 100% going to leave a mark. but who cares at this point.
" scott just listen to me-' he cuts your desperate cries with a punch to the mouth. you fall down to the floor, on purpose however. you want him to think your weak. your worn out. he can easily control you. he can easily throw you around like a rag doll. so he can feel some sense of confidence and have a sense of control. something he probably never experienced.
"i'm not listening to you. now you listen to me. you... you listen to me y/n. we are both the same person. we deserve absolutely nothing. we deserve everything our fathers did to us-"
" you know that's not true scott." someone speaks up from behind scott. their voice is strong and stern. it brings you comfort. never would you have thought, laying on the floor with blood dripping down your chin that the sound of someone's voice would bring you comfort. your heart feels warm. you can feel the familiarity of having control over your body come back. you smile. how could you be smiling at a time like this? your smiling. really hard while looking down at the floor. you refused to look up at scott. you refuse to do so.
because deep down you know you would be staring at the version of yourself that's buried deep inside you. that part inside you that keeps you wondering everyday, if you didn't take the path you took would you be like that. would you have done the same thing he had done? what makes him so different from you. just because you carry an id that gives you power over any normal civilian and a gun that's supposed to protect you and others. that doesn't make you any different though. because even though you have those things, you still think like scott. what if you truly don't deserve anyone in this world that would treat you with respect? what if you truly deserve someone as messed up as fucked up ad you are? because then they wouldn't understand right? they wouldn't understand how your mind works. but..like scott said. you probably deserve someone like scott, someone so sick and twisted-
why are you like this. why are you taking his words to heart. are you really that desperate and pathetic that you start taking an unsubs words to heart just because he shared an intimate moment with you. why? is it because you never in your life had experienced something like that and now you yearn for it? you start to believe every word he's said. your so naive. and your so vain. how can you be so gullible. why are you the way that you are. none of what scott said is true. none of it, absolutely none of it.
your too preoccupied with your brain breaking you down too notice two people coming over to you. your zoning out. your thinking hard. really hard. something like this requires a lot of thinking. but it shouldn't though. your supposed to just shrug off his words. not pay any mind to them. he's a mentally ill unsub who's murdered 5 women. nothing he says should make you reason with his thinking. there's nothing to reason with. he's insane. your not insane. your not insane. your just a girl who's seen some insane things.
" hey. your okay. i got you." morgan says gently grabbing you by the arms. "i got you y/n." he whispers picking you up gently. you stand up looking at the wall infront of you still zoned out. " hey y/n." emily pats your shoulder gently tilting her head to the side looking at you with such pain. you shake your head and look at both of them. " hi emily." you respond looking at emily blinking repeatedly. " hey you." she says smiling. " we've gotta get you to the ambulance come on y/n." morgan says wrapping his arms around you, pushing you into him.
" j-i don't need medical care morgan." you say trying to push your heavy head away but finding it way too hard. he feels too comfortable. too comforting. he feels too nice. his cologne smells masculine. really masculine. why is it comforting? why does it bring you comfort? you close your tired eyes for a second. " hey hey don't close your eyes on me I/n." morgan says tilting his head around to take a look at you, you shake your head softly. " i'm not dying morgan." you groan.
emily chuckles. " morgan's probably enjoying this." emily says wrapping up arm around her shoulder helping you walk, " cant have derek enjoying himself too much we all know how cocky he'll get and how high his ego will sky rocket." emily adds on looking at you smiling. her words make you chuckle. a painful chuckle. when your lips curve to let out a laugh a wave of pain washes over your face. "ow ow." you chuckle closing your eyes. morgan shakes his head,
"yeah you wish you can have a bit of this ego." morgan replies.
rossi opens the house door. his eyes immediately look to you. " it's alright i've got her." he says running to you. " derek go take care of reid he's in the ambulance." rossi says putting his gun away. morgan slowly and gently lets you go. rossi quickly replaces morgan. your head immediately shoots up. that hurt. you didn't even know you could do that. why did your head shoot up so quickly? just a second ago you were leaning into morgan for support because you couldn't bare to hold your head up and now suddenly you have all the energy in the world to shoot your head up.
"w-wait whys reid in the ambulance?" you ask your eyes wide, your pretty sure your eyes are half closed though. you can't bare to hold them open. you can already feel your left eye bruising. you can taste blood in your mouth. and you know there's blood dripping down from your eyebrows, from the healed over stitch. rossi and emily push you forward helping you walk. why aren't they answering you? what happened to reid? whys he in an ambulance? is he injured? what's wrong with spencer? what happened to spence? " i think that's a question he should answer." rossi says. what does that mean?
your quickly brought out of the house, thank god. you feel like if you spent another second in there you would go ballistic and break down crying. your heads down, your too tired. you see a pair of shoes infront of you. who's shoes are those? who is that? and why did they stop right infront of you? it's not spencer. spence would never wear those shoes. he was wearing converse earlier. dark blue converse. why do you remember all of this? don't you have some sort of concussion? how do you remember what pair of shoes spencer wore? god...
you feel emily and rossi's grip weaken around you. the unfamiliar person infront of you reaches forward and takes you. they lead you away from rossi and emily. your too tired to even care. they lean you against them. " where's...what's wrong with dr spencer reid?" you mumble stumbling in their hood barely having the energy to hold yourself up. " it's alright i°ve got you. here." they sit you down on something. there's bright red lights flashing around you. an ambulance.
" ma'am i'm gonna get an IV bag started is that alright with you?" the medic asks opening a cabinet. you nod your head hazily. you lean your head against the walls of the ambulance. he takes your arm rolling your sleeve up. you feel the soft pinch. your thankful for it though. it's stopping you from dissociating and falling asleep. you don't wanna fall asleep until someone tells you why spencer is in an ambulance. why do you care for him? why do you care for him after everything's he said- oh right. after what he's said. why do you care for him after he just publicly embarrassed you? that's so stupid. why are you so pathetic and desperate. did he publicly embarrass you? half of the team probably already knew. it's not that hard to figure out. itâs probably why you are the way that you are. theyâre profilers. of course they would figure that out. what he said was true. they all probably agree. oh god..
" let me go! let me go! i don't need medical attention she needs it more than me! let me see her!" you hear a voice shout from the distance, you recognise it. your heartbeat quickens. not like earlier though. not in the way your heartbeat quickened earlier. that was in fear. no. this. this is in relief. your stomach starts to stir. in nervousness. your still leaning your head against the wall, but your looking down. your hair covering your face. you stop hearing his voice.
" ma'am i need you to lift your head up." the medic says gently placing a tray next to you, a tray your guessing is full of medical supplies and alcohol. you softly nod your head sitting up. the medic grabs one of the medical instrument opening the wrapping. he moves to the side to quickly put on gloves.
â oh my god y/n..â you hear him say your name, in so so much pain. he sounds so upset. is he in pain? why does he sound so upset. what happened to him. is he okay. you look up. you see him. you look into his eyes. and suddenly all the words heâs said earlier rush buck into your clouded messy mind. but they donât hurt as much. your so used to men blurting out hurtful words to you and you having to get over them, what else do you do? ask them to apologise? expect them to apologise?
no. they donât do that. theyâve never done that. best thing to do is just get over it, because you probably deserve it right? thatâs what you were taught.
he looks tired. his eye bags look darker than what they usually would look like. his hair is messier then usual. the two buttons on his dark blue vest are unbuttoned. heâs wearing his fbi vest. his dark blue pants have wet stains on the side of them. your guessing because he would repeatedly wipe his sweaty hands on them. a habit he has when heâs nervous.
he looks into your eyes. he sees the bruise that's already forming in your eye. the trail of blood rolling down your eyebrow from what he can see, that scar you have. you have blood rolling down the side of your face. your neck is red. an imprint of a hand already appearing. his heart hurts. it hurts so much. seeing you like this. but how dare he right?
how dare he feel pain in his heart? the pain your feeling physically and mentally is probably 10x worse than what heâs feeling. he wishes he was feeling it though, he wishes that right in this second all your pain would be transferred to him. add it on to his pain. he feels so guilty. you donât deserve this. this is his fault. this is his fault. this is all his fault. your never gonna look him in the eye again. whenever you do your gonna remember this day. and how much pain he put you through. he hates it. he hates it so much. he hates himself so much.
"y-y/n." he's out of breath. he doesn't know where to start. he didn't have time to think of an apology, spending the entire car ride panicking nervous about you and wether you were safe or not. but now he can't think of anything.
he can't think of anything when looking into your eyes, the only thing he's thinking of is how badly he wishes he can go back in time and prevent all of this from happening. or make all of this happen but only put himself in your shoes. make him go through all this pain instead of you. You don't deserve this. you don't deserve him. you don't deserve his stupid apology that's about to come, that is if he can even muster up an apology right now. you deserve so much better than him.
"y/n i'm so sorry." spencer starts shaking his head his eyes wide. he can't think of anything. his iq of 187 has suddenly dropped down to 20. spencer who seemed to never stop his rambling suddenly can't think of a single thing to ramble on. you just made him stupid. and not in the way it's supposed to be. you make him stupid when you smile at him. not like this. he can't think of anything. he doesn't know where to start. he shakes his head.
" god can't you do your job!" spencer snaps grabbing a medical wipe and pouring saline solution on it. he stands infront of you. his angry demeanour quickly vanishes once his infront of you. something just hit him. he freezes infront of you. it's like all the color, the little color he already had in his face has drained.
you look at him in confusion. all though your upset at him it doesn't stop you from caring and growing concerned. " w-what?" you say blinking repeatedly looking at him. hes still looking at you. his lips part. he blinks repeatedly. he shakes his head.
"i-i'm just..i got scared." he stutters his voice cracking. " why?" you ask tilting your head to the side. " i'm scared your gonna flinch once i touch you." he replies quickly. really quickly. any normal person wouldn't catch it. but you did. vou've learnt to keep up with spencer's quick rambling. oh. oh. whys he so considerate? y/n stop. you can think that. you look down at your thighs. unable to think of anything to say. if he did touch you. would you have flinched? would you have reacted? you don't know. but spencer's not him. right?
" i'm not gonna flinch spencer." you say looking up at him. he nods his head gulping, "a-alright." he says. he lifts his shaky hand up. he gently dabs the medical wipe on your cut. disinfecting it. ouch it burns. your nails dig into the palm of your hand. his eyes are stuck on the cut. the scar. he knows where it's from. he might've been with garcia when she did her usual background snooping on new members of the team 2 years ago. he remembers how guilty he felt after it. finding out about such a dark part of your life without your knowledge or permission.
but that guilt doesn't compare to the guilt he's feeling right now. he feels tremendously guilty, he caused the scar to re open. all because of his foolishness. if he just shut his mouth earlier and wasn't such a smart ass. if he maybe was the one to go with you to scott anderson's house and not jj he would've been able to protect you. he probably would've shot scott anderson the second he would've laid his hands on vou.
he doesn't trust himself aorund vou. atleast not from the harm of unsubs and has the need to shoot any of them if they ever did you harm. he would probably lose his job. if he was there he probably would've lost his job. but he doesn't care. for your safety. he doesn't care.
" i'm so sorry y/n-" you can feel the medical wipe shake on your eyebrow, from spencer's shaky hands.
" it's fine spencer." you mumble looking into his eyes. is it fine though? is it really fine? whys he apologising? he's not supposed to be apologising right? this is new. this is so very new. they never apologise after hurting you. this is so unfamiliar? how are you supposed to react? do you tell them how you really feel? do you immediately accept their apology? they never apologised to you when they hurt you. whys spencers apologising? what do you say?
" it's not fine y/n. i-i hurt you. i c-caused this." he says spitting his words out in a shaky manner. what do you say or do? you've never made it this far whenever something similar to this happened in the past.
" spencer it's fine. i shouldn't have egged you on earlier anyways-" why are you taking the blame. y/ n stop. it's not your fault. it never is your fault when something like this happens. y/n please. it's not your fault. stop taking the blame. his heart aches even more. his throat feels heavy. who hurt you like this? who broke your heart like this? who messed up your image of love like this? who hurt you this bad. he hates them. he hates them for making you like this.
" y/n i know you have the personal need to justify everything i've said but y/n stop, just stop. i hurt you okay. and even though saying that out loud and accepting the fact that i said that it thr worst thing i've ever done in my entire life it's nothing compared to what you felt when i said that. i don't wanna be like him y/n. i don't wanna be him. i don't want you to think i can be him. i don't want you to see him everytime you see me y/n. because that would kill me even more. y-you don't have to talk to me anymore y/n i just don't want you to flinch or have this horrible feeling of rememberence whenever you see me. please just.. just don't take the blame for this because it's my fault. this entire thing was my fault and i put you through this y/n. you don't deserve this. i'm really sorry.â
spencer rambles. trying to push the heavy feeling in his throat away. he can't cry. he doesn't deserve to cry right now. he's nervous though. he's nervous about what your gonna say. he doesnât have the right to feel nervous though. he should accept whatever it is. he did this to himself. whatever the outcome is. he just hopes you donât have a sense of fear wash over you whenever you look at him and get memories of this day. that is if you ever look at him after this day.
no one's ever said that to you. you feel your tired eyes tear up. your about to cry. oh no. spencer panics. does he comfort you? do you even want his comfort? he doesn't deserve to touch you, he thinks. he drops the medical wipe.
" n-no please don't cry. ill go call
over emily or jj or morgan or hotch just p-please dont cry. i'll go-" it physically aches him to leave you like this. but he has to. he doesn't want you to feel uncomfortable. he just made you cry. you must really hate him. he understands though. he just wishes you understand how sorry he is. but you probably will never know. because you probably don't expect him to feel sorry, you probably think he's faking it. he just needs you to understand that he's not him. he's not your dad. spencer actually feels sorry. he feels so so sorry for everything he's done and said. but you had to put up with years of your dad taking apologises you probably don't believe his. he hates himself.
you stand up. you barely have room to think clearly before a tear rolls down your cheek. spencer immediately removes his fbi vest, you bury your head against spencer's chest. you wrap your hands against his chest. he doesn't wrap his hands around you though. he's scared to touch you. your not sobbing. your too tired to sob. you just let tears slowly roll down your cheeks. " your not him spencer." you say out loud. spencer's heart skips a beat. he slowly wraps his hands around you. " i'm still mad at you. you shouldn't have said that earlier. b-but i forgive you spence." you mumble against his chest. he shakes his head, " you shouldn't forgive me y/n. your supposed to be mad at me. your supposed to be yelling at me. or-or hitting me." he says.
" i am mad at you spencer." you say pulling your head away wiping the tears.
"alright. good." he says
looking down at you. " oh god- im sorry that was stupid i shouldn't have hugged you-" you immediately start apologising shaking your head. you immediately sit back down. oh god your so stupid. why did you just hug him? your so embarrasing oh god. did you feel the need to hug spencer because you just needed to make sure that spencer wasn't him.
not that you would know what your dads embrace would feel like. but you just needed to make sure.
" no please don't apologise. d-do you mind if i sit next to you?" spencer asks pointing at the space next to you. you look at him and slowly nod your heart. he sits next to you. " once ive healed i'm yelling at you spencer." you say looking down at your legs, your tired eyes aching. " alright." spencer says nodding. you should yell at him. and you will. he had no right. but your too tired right now. you just hope. you really really hope that spencer doesn't spiral once your back in quantico and probably will forcefully be taken into the hospital by emily and jj. you really hope he doesn't drown himself in guilt and spiral. why are you so caring? does spencer care about you the way you care about him? that's foolish right? he wouldn't right? does he feel his heart quicken when he sees you? does he care the way you care? that's stupid god y/n you probably have a concussion just shut up.
yeah how stupid y/n. because if you knew the way spencer cared about you or the way his heart quickens when he sees you. you wouldn't believe it. it will take time though. it will take time for you to believe it. he's willing to work hard during that time. he just hopes you know even the slightest bit. but he wont say anything right now. you've already been through enough. he wont say anything for a while. though when the time is right. maybe you'll finally know how much he cares about you. for now, he'll settle for this just for now. until he can gain your trust back and make his feelings known. he'll settle for this. because just being next to you makes him happy.

Tim walking into the dining room: Oh B, i just realized, happy 5 years sober, I am really proud of you.
Bruce, small smile and sipping his tea: Thank you Tim.
Dick, looking up confused from his bowl of cereal: What? Sober? Weren't you drinking last night at the gala?
Bruce, brows furrowed: Not from alcohol, Chum.
Tim, after downing his cup of coffee: Damn you didn't know? It was cocain. B was on that booger sugar.
Bruce, making a face: Please, never call it that again.
Dick, after his brain rebooted: You...you did cocain?
Bruce sighing :Yes I did...I though you knew.
Dick, abandoning his bowl of cereal: No, no I very much didn't! How did you...like get into that?
Tim: Dick take it down a notch, please? Bruce has been clean for years.
Bruce, shaking his head: It's fine Tim, I should have been more up front with this to the others.
Dick, with his head tilted and still a bit upset: Others? You mean only Tim knew?
Bruce, nodding: He caught me taking a key from one of Penguins supply when he was Robin and forced me to confess, I went to rehab a week later.
Dick, sitting back down in a stupor: Wait...You mean the thing when you were gone for like a few months? I thought you were on a deep space mission with the league! Hell, Uncle Clark even said so!
Bruce, wincing: Y-Yes...I was in a treatment center in Sweden...Tim found them and signed me up without telling me, and had Clark take me there...
Bruce side eyeing Tim: Took my Kryptonite before doing so...and my stash.
Tim, unapologetic, shrugging: Mom used the same place when she was getting off of Quaaludes.
Bruce, shrunching his nose: Never did like downers, made it harder to think.
Dick, having a mental breakdown: So you just...did drugs? For like a while? When did this even start?
Bruce, silent for a while, moving his breakfast around for a moment: It started when I was about...16? When I was in the club scene for a bit I got wild, taking pills and such that I didn't need, it was the 80s, blow was all the rage with the youth in higher circles and...well one thing lead to another and I got hooked.
Dick, holding his head in his hands: Oh my God...Wait.. Were you actively doing drugs when you adopted me???
Bruce, groaning: Yes...Didn't it ever seem strange that sometimes I was very lively and then suddenly was practically dead an hour later before getting back to lively?
Dick, horror coming across his face: Oh my God the signs...
Tim, chuckling: B was a God damn drug fiend, practically snorted half of Columbia.
Bruce, looking scandalized: Tim! I was not that bad...
Tim staring at Bruce:
Bruce staring back:
Bruce, sighing: Fine yes it was that bad.
Dick: uninhorant screeching
Bruce, tsking: I quit a few years after taking you in Chum, I only relapsed when Jason...temporarily passed...and that was only for at most a year, Tim found me out, sent me to rehab and while I have had a few scares, I have been sober for years.
Dick: Happy for you, really but holy fuck.
Tim, snorting: It wasn't the first time I caught you B, imagine little old 10 year old me following Batman and Robin and stumbling across the Dark Knight of Gotham doing a line on a gargoyle while Robin beat the shit out of the dealers below.
Dick, agape: Really Bruce? Do you even remember that?
Bruce, Blushing: i...may have done that more than once...
Dick, crying on the inside: BRUCE?!
Jason, walking in with a smoothie: Oh what are we yelling at B for? I want in.
Dick, wildly pointing at Bruce: BATMAN DID COCAIN.
Jason, slowly taking a drag from his smoothie, before turning to Bruce: w h a t?
Bruce, hiding his face in his hands, sullenly: I trained you all better than this. Yes I did drugs, I am 5 years sober.
Jason, softly putting his smoothie down before walking over to Bruce and patting his shoulder: Proud of you for that, like actually good job, holy shit that is hard. But also WHAT THE FUCK.
Bruce, sighing hard: I thought you all knew...
Jason flopping down in a chair, counting on his fingers: Wait a God damn minute, you got on my case for smoking while doing cocain!
Bruce, dead panned: it's a gate way to much harder things.
Jason, squinting: Who are you D.A.R.E?
Tim, cackling: he was! Did a whole speech about it! Full Batman regalia and was talking about how weed is bad!
Bruce glaring lightly at Tim: It is! It can cause lung damage, a build up of black tar in the lungs and can dull your mind when you are in a tike of crisis!
Jason, rolling his eyes: B, Shut the fuck up you did cocain.
Bruce, sighing yet again: You really are not letting that go are you...
Tim, sipping his coffee: Think of it like this, there is a reason B was able to get back to fighting like a week after Bane broke his back.
Bruce, pursing his lips,: Not the time Tim.
Tim, grinning evilly: Oh no, it is very much the time, I have been waiting till the others knew...I have so many blackmail stories....and pictures
Bruce, a look of true fear on his face: Oh God no...
#batfam#batman#jason todd#tim drake#bruce wayne#dick grayson#bruce did so many drugs#out of character.#so fucking ooc#cocain batman is my pride and joy#that man needed to be high as balls to do the shit he does#also thr imagine of Bruce just doing a line ofg a gargoyle is hilarious to me#bruce was a wild child during the 80s#he did at least a little drugs#he and harvey once ate shrooms and had a whole trip thinking they were jellyfish#coke fiend batman can sniff the air and know what the criminals were cooking

Special customer
Redhood
Special customer Redhood who gains the title by beating up some shady guys attempting to break into your bakery and apartment above it, and after the job was done, you begged him to stay around until you got a new security system installed. But even with it installed, he seems to be in the area. One night, you offered him a coffee, and now every night on patrol, he comes for his coffee.
Â
Special customer Redhood, got a pretty sweet drink, not something a vigilante would drink. It was a black coffee with 5 pumps of caramel and a dash of cinnamon sugar. Something about the unlikely order was cute in a way.
Â
Special customer Redhood, doesn't know that you have an alarm set, so you can wake up late enough to catch him and give him his coffee. One day he catches you, though. You come downstairs to check to see if he was there yet, and he sees you in pajamas, your hair up so you can sleep comfortably,Â
"Wait, were you sleeping?" He looks you up and down.Â
"Nice pajamas"Â
Only then does he look up the hours of the bakery, seeing that it closes at 10 p.m., whereas he's coming in between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. That was when he first realized how considerate you were.
Â
Special customer Redhood finally asks you about your day after two weeks of him coming in for a cup of coffee and a weirdly comfortable silence while he drinks and unwinds from his long patrol.
"How was your day... You look exhausted." He took a long pause, realizing he didn't know your name, but to his surprise, you laughed, and after that one small gesture, he knew he wanted to hear it again.Â
You and him talked for a few hours until his headset pinged that there was something suspicious going on in the area he was supposed to be patrolling, but here he was flirting with a baker.
He never got your name.
Â
Â
Special customer Redhood, gets the same thing every time, so eventually you give his order a special name. His own secret menu item. special customer, Redhood, who asks
"Did you name this drink after me?" When you sayÂ
"One red cup coming up." The name was Corny, and it slipped up before you could stop yourself, and now you cringed as you could hear the smirk in his heavily distorted voice. His question was immediately met with denial.Â
Â
Special customer Redhood enjoyed talking with you and learning about you. He also liked how you weren't pushy, not asking anything that could put his identity at risk. Here's a list of things he told you.
He liked classic literature.
He had never tried matcha before you made him try your new matcha white chocolate cookies.Â
He loved animals and always wanted a big dog.
His favorite color was green, which was surprising considering his choice of name.
He never went to college.Â
Â
New customer Jason Todd, who made you raise an eyebrow when he ordered a "red cup," had a barely noticeable smirk like he was thinking of an inside joke. Your eyebrow raised a bit more when a younger-looking guy asked
"Jason, why this bakery? It's not even a real coffee shop; they just happen to sell three types of coffee and a special lemonade. And its super put of the way."
His words were met with a flick to the back of his head by Jason.
"Because I like it here."
Â
New-ish customer Jason, who came in mornings ordering the same thing every couple of days every so often, had a person or two with him. But while Jason wasn't consistent, but you like him any.
Â
Special customer Redhood, who had been planning on asking you out as Jason for months. It was now winter, and the snow on the ground made him think of you. He knew winter was your favorite season, and it was the first snow of the season today. He knew it had to be today.Â
Â
Innocent bystanders Dick, Damian, and Tim watched their brother go mad over a baker. A mix of happiness and impending doom lingered amongst the group they had started taking bets on when he would finally ask her out a while ago. And so far, Alfred is the closest to winning.Â
Â
Regular customer Jason Todd, who had run into the bakery with flowers in hand right before closing, Slightly out of breath, he askedÂ
"Will you go out to dinner with me? Saturday night at 8 p.m.?"
"Sure." You smile happily, accepting his offer and you watch as his eyes light up and he hands you the bouquet of flowers.Â
Â
Boyfriend Jason Todd, who is surprised when you, after a year of dating, reveal that you've been suspicious since day one, All because of a stupid drink with a corny name.Â
Â
Boyfriend Jason Todd, who can't help but tease you,.
"So it was named after me?"
Â
Boyfriend and soon-to-be fiancĂ©e Jason Todd, who proposes to you on the roof of your apartment and bakery the whole roof was decked out with a vine covered arch and fairy lights.Â
"So, will you marry me?"
Â
He gets on one knee, opening a gorgeous engagement ring with your favorite precious stone inside. It was your dream ring, and he was your dream guy, and of course you said yes.
Â
Fiancée Jason Todd, who pulls you into a passionate kiss when he hears the words leave your lips, couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of his life with you.

undercover - aaron hotchner x reader
synopsis: in the middle of a case, your worst fear comes true. you have to go on an a date with aaron hotchner, the boss you've been crushing on for months. content: canon-typical violence, tropey, kissing, flirtatious aaron, mentions of alcohol, afab reader who wears a dress. word count: 4k+ a lil bit oops author's note: ahhh my favorite trope in crime shows. enjoy!
"so based on this geographical profile y/n and i worked on, there's only two bars our unsub could frequent with his victims. the first one is more of a nightclub and we don't think it's likely that he'll be bringing them to such a rowdy environment," reid spoke to the crowd of officers and agents awaiting instruction. "the other bar also has a restaurant attached so we'll be keeping our investigation here."
jj grabbed a handful of papers with the bar's information and passed them out to the officers. once reid had stepped to the side, aaron came forward to wrap up their profile.
"he's cunning, yet incredibly violent. do not ambush him. he will escape your grasp and hurt you in the process. be on the lookout officers," he said with a tap to the desk that sent everyone back to work. with a subtle turn, aaron gazed at you and reid. "good work on the mapping. meet back up in the conference room in 5."
"thank you, sir," you and reid echoed before beginning to organize your files back into a folder.
all the while you tried to remain professional, your heart throbbed in your chest at the smallest ounce of praise from your boss. the way he held the room in his hand and demanded respect without ever having to actually ask for it was a part of the reason why you've had a crush on them for the better part of a year.
crush, now, felt too small. it was an infatuation at this point.
it didn't matter much, however, because would you ever confess your feelings for your boss? the boss who has been nothing but stoic your entire time of knowing him? absolutely not.
shrugging the butterflies in your body away, you head over to the impromptu coffee station created for the large number of people inside the police station and pour a cup of stale yet hot and much needed energy. this case was a doozy, one that had every agent just wishing for its end. and it felt like it was soon to come to a close. they had been coming up with some kind of plan. what that plan was, you weren't entirely sure.
when you managed to snap a lid on the coffee cup, you headed into the conference room where the rest of the bau were seated haphazardly around the room. you took a spot between emily and reid, eyes focused on aaron and rossi standing in front of a whiteboard.
"that coffee's not any good, is it?" rossi asked, noting the cup in your hand.
"every sip is somehow worse than the last, but i think we all need it," you said, following your statement up with another pained drink. rossi laughed and out of the corner of your eye, you could've swore that the corner of aaron's lips titled into a smirk. you ignored it, though, and began reading the words on the board.
"so, we're hoping to catch the unsub tonight," aaron started suddenly, turning with his ever-present air of professionalism. "if he's still following his schedule, he'll find his next victim tonight, most likely at the bar reid and y/n found. we've thought about how we're going catch him and i think we'll have to go undercover. two of us."
"under what pretenses, exactly?" derek asked on the other side of the table.
"on a date," rossi answered. just faintly, a red tint appeared on aaron's cheeks. you wondered what could possibly have made him- "we've picked our two already. y/n and aaron."
"oh!" you said surprisedly. "what led to this decision, pray tell?"
aaron looked down at his folders as if they were the most important thing in the world in that very moment. rossi glanced over, shook his head, then looked at you again.
"you two just seem the most likely out of any of us to go on a date. we don't want to look suspicious, no?" rossi answered.
"i-uh-i suppose not," you said. "my go bag isn't really packed with date wear clothes. mostly just pantsuits and academy t-shirts."
aaron finally cleared his throat and met your eyes for the first time since it was announced that you two would technically be going on a date. even if you would be wearing bulletproof vests under your clothes.
"that's okay. we won't be going out till 7pm. it's only three now. you're free to find something. as long as it's easy to move in," he said in a voice that felt an octave deeper than usual. and then he did something that almost made you faint on the spot. aaron dug into his pocket, fished out his wallet, and pulled out a credit card. his credit card. "use this."
sheepishly, you took the card from his hands and placed it into your own bag. "thanks," you muttered. an elbow jabbed its way into your side from beside you and emily was smirking at you. you dismissed her with your hand and stood to exit the room.
"hotel lobby at 7, yeah?" aaron said.
you forced a nervous smile to your face and nodded, then left the room. with aaron's credit card in your bag. about to buy an outfit. for a date with him. you weren't entirely positive you could safely drive.
ౚà§
with the information you had about the bar, you picked a semi-formal, simple dress that paired well with heels you already packed. aaron was already paying for the dress. you couldn't ask him to also pay for the accessories.
after some test laps up and down your hotel room, you declared the outfit was "easy to move in" and grabbed your bag, ensuring that his credit card was still inside. the time was only 6:45, but you knew aaron would already be there, waiting.
with a check that your holster was properly attached to your thigh, you left the room and took the elevator down to the first floor. your heart was beating irregularly in your chest and your hands were clammy, but the reflective surface of the elevator's walls let you know that you looked good. for a fake date with aaron hotchner.
the elevator dinged when the doors opened and immediately, you saw aaron sitting in a lobby chair. he looked up at the sound and stood. he was dressed impeccably well in a suit with his hair done in its usual middle part. handsome was the only word on the tip of your tongue.
"you look beautiful," he said upon reaching your figure. it seemed like he didn't mean for the words to slip out, but instead of retracting them, he simply held out his arm for yours to wrap around.
your mouth went dry, but you knew you had to say something back. "thank you, hotch. you look handsome yourself."
"i think for the purposes of tonight," he said, "you can just call me aaron."
you nodded, finding words hard to muster up. instead, you allowed him to lead out of the hotel to one of the least suspicious looking SUVs parked outside. when he reached the door, he opened it for you.
you couldn't hold back a little laugh at the gesture. "you know...we're not on the date yet," you said. regardless of the light humor of the situation, you allowed him to help you into the passenger seat. he smirked, shut the door, then walked around to his door.
when he got in, his usual stone expression found its way to his face again. "forgive me for wanting to make this feel as natural as possible. i'm sure it's awkward going on a date with your boss. even if it is undercover."
"oh, no!" you blurted out. his eyebrows raised as he backed out of the parking spot. his arm wound its way around your seat, neglecting the back-up camera for the traditional method. "sorry. it's not awkward. you don't have to worry. promise."
"yeah?" he asked, putting the car back into drive and heading to the downtown area of the small town you were in. at a stop sign, he turned to look at you. if you weren't such a highly trained profiler, you would've certainly missed the way his eyes raked up and down your body, taking in your dress of choice. "you made a good pick."
your cheeks warmed with his flattery. to avoid meeting his gaze, you fished the credit card out of your purse to offer back to him. "thanks," you muttered. "you didn't have to pay for it, you know?"
he took the credit card from your grasp and shoved it into his pants pocket. "don't worry about it," he said with a wave of his hand. "figured if you're forced into going on a date, you should have something nice to wear at least."
you looked over to his body in the driver's seat, his face focused on the road ahead of him. "why do you keep assuming that i'm hating every second of this? i mean...how rare is it that we get to eat somewhere nice while on a case? and i'm getting paid for it while in the presence of a handsome man. could be worse things." you didn't know what compelled you to add on the last bit, but when you saw his cheeks flare up, you didn't regret it.
instead of responding, aaron's body relaxed in the driver's seat.
after several minutes of driving, the bar came into view and you bit your lip in nervousness. this unsub was pretty intense and you were heading directly into the lion's den. you tried to cram the nervousness deep down in the pit of your stomach as aaron pulled into the small parking lot next door.
before turning the car completely off, aaron turned his body towards yours. "now we really need to look as inconspicuous as possible. it might feel weird, but we need to look like a real couple on a date, okay?"
"yes, sir," you responded on impulse. "i mean...yes, aaron."
despite his attempts not to, he breathily chuckled. "already off to a great start," he joked. you chuckled with him and unbuckled your seat. "i'm gonna text the team that we're heading in. don't open your door. let me do it."
a minute of quick texting passed by and aaron shut off the car, then stepped out. a few seconds passed before your door opened and aaron was extending his hand to yours. you took it with a sweet smile and let him lead you out of the car. he shut the door behind you and your arm found his own again.
regardless of the reason being for the case or for just the pure want to be closer to him, you leaned into aaron's strong body. he took to the gesture immediately and held you even closer. it was intoxicating, but you kept your gaze focused on the bar ahead.
after what felt like agonizing hours of walking side by side, you came onto the host stand at the front of the restaurant.
"how many?" the host asked.
"two," aaron responded. the hand that was holding on to your arm began rubbing the skin there up and down. every touch of his fingers left goosebumps.
the host gestured for the two of you to follow her. quicker than you'd like, she led you towards a table in the middle of the restaurant. your eyes surveyed the restaurant and bar around you, scanning for someone that resembled the unsub's profile. once the host walked away, you and aaron looked at each other and shook your heads, signaling that nothing felt out of the ordinary so far.
"order whatever you'd like," aaron said, his head pointing towards the menu in your hand. "hon," he added.
the petname rolled from his tongue naturally, as if it was a name he had been calling you for years. you tried to not show that it affected you much, but aaron noticed the way your breath caught in your throat. despite the nervousness that settled over your body, you decided to take another leap and with a shift in your seat, your heeled foot grazed over his leg. he was shocked at the sudden touch, but spread his legs further nonetheless.
you didn't pull away either when the server came forward.
"welcome, guys. date night tonight, i'm guessing?" she asked with a smile.
"mhm!" you answered first. "decided to get out and dress up for once in a while."
aaron looked at you with an almost impressed look. maybe rossi was right. you did look like a couple.
"isn't that nice? well, what would you two like to drink tonight?"
"an old-fashioned, please," aaron responded. "and a water."
"i'll take a cosmopolitan and a water," you added.
the server noted down the drinks and walked away. your foot continued sliding up and down aaron's legs, becoming a subconscious act at that point. he flipped through the menu once, then glanced around the room again. still nothing.
"an old-fashioned, hmm?" you asked, eyeing one of the meals on the menu that sounded particularly tasty.
"is that shocking?" he asked.
"no," you answered honestly. "just learning more about you, aaron."
aaron hummed, as if he were about to say something, but instead focused on his menu again. a few minutes of comfortable silence passed before the server came over with a tray of your drinks. she sat them down on the table, along with the waters, then pulled out a notepad again.
"had enough time to pick what you'd like?" she asked.
"know what you want, dear?" you asked, looking up at aaron.
"i'll take the steak frites," he said to the server.
both he and the server looked at you. you told her what you'd like from the menu, hoping it wasn't expensive enough for aaron. he barely registered the price, though, and instead collected your menus to hand to the server. if this was what dates were usually like with him, you could definitely tolerate them.
"you look like you're thinking about something," aaron said from the other side of the table where he had been watching both you and the door intently.
you took a sip of your drink and sat it back down. "i thought we said no profiling your coworkers, dear," you teased. "i feel like that applies tenfold when you're on a date."
he chuckled and took a sip of his own drink. you noted just how attractive he was with a glass of whiskey in his hand, laughing.
"pardon me for wanting to know what my beautiful date has in her head," aaron said. his words made you bite your lip and look down at the table. suddenly, though, his demeanor shifted as his eyes connected with someone coming in at the door. "don't turn around."
"is he here?" you whispered.
he nodded and picked up his drink, eyes following him to the bar. almost imperceptibly, he tilted his head towards the bar. "fifth seat," he whispered back.
sure enough, an unsub matching the physical profile had seated himself next to an alone woman at the bar. almost immediately upon sitting down, he began talking to her. the fact that the man you had been trying to catch for a long time, the man who committed some really gruesome murders was that close to you made you almost ill. you passed your emotions off by taking a drink.
"i'm gonna grab another drink, baby. i haven't seen the server around," aaron suddenly said. he nodded to you, perhaps for reassurance, before standing and adjusting his blazer to ensure the holster on his side was covered. luckily, the seat directly next to the woman was empty and he positioned himself on the other side of it. the unsub barely registered his presence, which was good. you took note of his clothes, his hair, everything, just in case she slipped through your grasp again.
eventually, aaron had flagged down the bartender, ordered his second drink, and came back with it in his hand.
"he's just flirting with her," aaron whispered once he was out of earshot. "but she's falling for it. probably not long till he tries to leave with her."
"i won't get to finish my food," you said half-seriously.
"i'll get it boxed up for you, hon," he said. though that time, aaron's voice was a whisper. the petname was for you alone.
just as aaron had expected, the unsub stood from his seat at the bar, the woman next to him following suit. together, they headed towards the back where the bathroom was, along with an exit inside the kitchen which he was likely going to use. both yours and aarons followed them and with a curt nod, you both stood to head towards the back, several paces behind them.
suddenly, they went through a door, to what seemed like a closet first before going into the kitchen. you and aaron paused at the beginning of the hallway. then some noises erupted from the closet, ones that would make an older woman blush and hold her hand to her mouth.
aaron looked back at you with a confused look on his face. at that very moment, the closet door opened. you and aaron looked at each other in panic, but just before they stepped out of the closet, you grabbed aaron by his tie and pulled him closer to you.
within seconds, you had hiked your leg up his own, revealing your thigh in the dress. his hand quickly came to the skin and he squeezed tightly. to add to the scene, you wrapped a hand around the base of aaron's neck and pulled him down. his lips met your own with a rough clash, but then the kiss smoothed out.
at first, he was still, lips unmoving against yours. when your fingers tangled themselves into the short hairs at his neck, he finally kissed you back. acting, he thought to himself as he deepened the kiss and pulled your leg higher up his. undercover, he tried to remind himself when your lips let forth a whimper into his mouth.
neither of you wanted to pull away. you only pulled your head back when you heard the kitchen door swing open and closed. you inhaled a deep breath and met aaron's dark brown eyes. they were wide and his cheeks were flushed.
"sorry. i-it was all i could think to do," you stuttered out.
aaron shook his head. "don't be," he said quickly. "come on, he's about to leave. we'll talk after."
you felt the warmth of aaron's body leave yours as he pulled the gun from his holster. you retrieved your own from your thigh and followed him through the kitchen. he flashed his badge towards the chefs to get them to stop yelling and they pointed towards the exit where the unsub had just left.
both of you picked up your pace. had the kiss deepened for a few more seconds, you would have certainly missed him. however, as soon as you threw open the exit door, the unsub was forcefully shoving the young woman into his car.
"fbi! put your hands up and back away from the car!" aaron yelled. the unsub didn't do immediately as asked, despite two guns pointing in his direction. "i won't ask again! put your hands up and back away from the car!"
in a quick flash, the unsub reached inside his jacket. in the streetlight, you saw the glint of a gun. hardly a second passed before he pulled it out, aimed, but then fell to the asphalt.
your finger came off the trigger and before lodging it back into the holster, you turned the safety back on. you hadn't killed him, only immobilized him in his right leg. it was enough for aaron to run forwards, take the gun and throw it to the side. while he placed handcuffs on the unsub, you ran to the other side of the car and rescued the woman from the passenger seat. crying, she fell into your arms. suddenly, you were surrounded by the town's police department, along with the rest of your team who had been waiting just down the street.
before everything got too hectic to seek each other out, you and aaron took a long look at each other. he nodded with a smile, his form of praise, before hauling the unsub into a police car.
ౚà§
a few hours had passed before everyone was released from the scene. the bau loaded up into their SUVs, aaron taking the one you had rode together in. much to your chagrin, his car filled up before you could get in with him. instead, you rode with emily and reid on the way back to the hotel to gather your belongings.
when you arrived to the hotel, everyone split off into their rooms. aaron seemed to be speaking privately with rossi so you opted to go upstairs and change out of the outfit you had been wearing for the better half of the night.
as you were unbuckling your heels and placing them back into your go-bag, you heard a faint knock on the door. you rose from the bed, feet aching, and answered it.
there, aaron stood with a white t-shirt on, having had to change out of his clothes from the scene.
"hey," you said.
"can i come in?" he asked.
only then did you notice that he was holding something behind his back. you stepped to the side to allow him to enter and he scooted the item in front of him to prevent you from seeing.
"what do you have there?" you asked. slowly, he brought forth two boxes of food, having kept his promise from earlier.
"it's probably not the freshest anymore, but nothing that a microwave can't fix," he said sheepishly.
you could've cried on the spot. smiling brightly, you took the food from his hands and sat it on the hotel desk. a grunt escaped his lips as your arms engulfed him in a hug. his arms wrapped around your body and your feet lifted from the ground a little.
"thank you," you said genuinely.
aaron watched as you took the food and warmed them up, going for yours first so that he could have the slightly warmer meal. once they were both ready to be ate, you found some plastic silverware in the little coffee tray and handed one set to him.
"round two?" you said with a shrug.
"round two," he agreed. "but...i wouldn't mind a round three, or four, or five, when we get back home." he picked up a fry from his plate and popped it in his mouth.
"glad to know my impulsive gift didn't scare you off," you joked. you paused for a second and set the food down. "which, i mean, i wouldn't mind a round two on that either."
aaron paused too, setting his own box back down on the desk. he stood and offered his hand to help you up from the bed. you took it and rose. then, his hand wrapped around your back where his palm was splayed across the skin there.
"i wouldn't mind a round two either," he said quietly. "but i call the shots this time."
your knees felt weak being so close to aaron. you didn't miss the way his cheeks flared and one of his hands shook nervously. had he been feeling the same way for you for this long too?
"you can call the shots anytime, hon," you teased, echoing the petnames for earlier.
smirking, his free hand ghosted up your side till it met your chin. his fingers titled your head upwards and ever so softly, he leaned in. this kiss was much more romantic, more loving, less rushed. he had time, now. he wasn't kissing you to hide from someone else. he was kissing you because he has been wanting to for oh so long.
minutes must've passed before the two of you pulled away to a pure need to breathe. he smiled. "good round two?"
"i think i'm gonna need a few more just to double check."

Water Colour Eyes
Chapter 01
Y Batfam x Gn Reader
Featuring: platonic Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne (no Jason in this chapter)
2.3k words
Im very new to tumblr and was recently inspired by @acid-ixx to try writing my own story, please go easy on me but any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. (Im still trying to figure out how this app works but I know the basics). The only knowledge I have of working in a restaurant is bistro huddy.
Rubbing your temples you could just feel the headache forming. It was going to be one of those shifts, the kind that drags on and on. Standing behind the hostess stand shuffling through the reservation book scanning for anything out of the ordinary. Flipping through the pages only pausing once you spot his name âBruce Wayneâ. That name became a fixture in the book, always booking at 6:30 and specifically requesting you as his server. Within the past 2 months heâs definitely become your regular, and although he is technically your only regular, he just has a certain quality that sets him apart from your co-workers regulars. Sure heâs a pleasure to have as a customer, always punctual, kind, and very generous with the tips. Thereâs just something you canât quite place your finger on, he tends to get a little personal. He started calling you by your first name, and always asked you about your life. But youâve always chalked it up to him being a ditzy guy whoâs never been told no. Even if he carries himself with a certain air, alluding that he knows much more than he lets on. it seems like no one else questions it, so why should you? Regardless, his tips were good enough to let him call you by your name and ask you about your personal life.
La Vie Royale was always busy on Fridays. Swarming with creeps who always stared too long, and buzzing with heiresses who always had something to complain about. For being Gothams richest they almost never tipped well, and when they did it was some lonely wealthy old weirdo on a date with their sugar baby. Co-workers werenât much help either, specifically the superiors always criticizing and critiquing never bothering to hide the contempt in their voices when speaking. The Kitchen was like another world, one you werenât welcome in. The other servers stayed in their lane, and always kept to each other. Thatâs what itâs like for every newbie who somehow snatches Gothams richest billionaire for a regular. The only saving grace was the hostesses who, like you, were at the bottom of the La Vie Royale food chain.
Glancing at the clock reading 5:47, plenty of time to mentally prepare for dealing with Albertine while you serve the playboy billionaire. Albertine was possibly the worst manager for the night, sheâd always get so on edge when sheâd find out he was dining here for the evening. Glancing over and you can see her talking to one of the other servers, eyes locked on you. God, you could just feel that headache getting worse, and after a long day of classes you pray heâd be a no show for once. Wishful thinking though, the best you can hope for is getting through this shift without a lecture. Rather than contemplating how dreadful this shift will be at the hostess stand, you might as well look busy and get a head start on your side work.
Once the minute hand hit 30 like clock work, Bruce Wayne walked in. Smiling at the familiar face of the regular, this time he wasnât alone. Three young men walked in right after. Raising an eyebrow, they were clearly in the same party. Why didnât his assistant say heâd have guests when they booked him the reservation? Looking more closely at the boys itâs clear they also have that odd quality in common with Mr Wayne. One looked barely out of high school, and had been scrolling on his phone with a smirk on his face. The youngest, likely in middle school, had an aura that demanded a respect unfit for his age. The oldest, probably in his mid twenties, seemed to have a natural charm to him. You had always known Wayne had his fair share of children, he talked about them often although you could never put a name to a face.
âWow Mr Wayne, you finally brought some guests with you todayâ you tease as you greet the group and check them in for their reservation. you hear a chuckle and glance up to see Bruceâs smile, itâs warm and reaches his eyes. âWell I figured it was about time I took my kids out with meâ. Giving a polite nod and smiling as he introduces his kids. âI see, your table will ready in a few minutes, we didnât expect you to bring any guests tonightâ Mr Wayne huffs eyeing the oldest âI apologize it was a last minute change in plans, Dick was visiting and insisted on going outâ The oldest Dick chimes in âyouâll still be able to fit us in right?â His voice is calm, like he knows the answer and just wants you to hear you talk. â Iâm sure we can, Iâll just have to go clear the tableâ eyes glued to the reservation book, moving some other reservations around to accommodate the new change. Something a restaurant as refined as La Vie Royale would never do, although Albertine and every other superior insisted that Mr Wayne be accommodated in any way possible. He brought good press, and according to a rumour amongst the staff he even considered buying it a while back. Giving the group a polite nod as you rush off, to clear the other tables. Missing the brief dejected look on the oldest boy's face.
Albertine noticing the Wayne family standing alone makes a beeline towards them. âHave you been helped yet?â She asks in a voice the family could only describe as sickly sweet. âYes our server is just clearing the tableâ Timâs voice monotone, not even bothering to glance up from his phone. Albertine pauses, eyes widening for a split second then back to the false smile âI seeâ she says as if contemplating something before walking away, sending a sharp glare in your direction as she does. The interaction not going unnoticed by the Wayneâs. âyou will be at fault if they get reprimandedâ Damian pipes up glaring at Tim. Staring down at the younger Wayne, âsheâll find something to get mad at tonight no matter whatâ he argues back, knoe he doesnât have the best excuse. A small feeling of guilt starts to bubble in his chest. Tim realized his slip up too late. It's likely youâll get yelled at for keeping such âprestigious guests waitingâ once theyâve finished with their meal. Glancing at Dickâs and Bruceâs faces, itâs clear theyâre planning ways to ease the consequences youâll likely face later tonight. Tim glances back down to Damian only to find his glare still present.
âThank you for your patienceâ your voice pulls them out of their trance, calming down the rising tension. It reminds them of why they came tonight, to see you. Oblivious to their true intentions you smile, grabbing the menus âfollow meâ. As you lead them to their table Bruce and Tim make note of how many others are sitting in your section for the night, some of them they recognize from galas others are unimportant. however your section is completely full. Finally reaching their table, it isnât Bruceâs normal table much to his disdain; he doesn't have the vantage point to subtly watch over you. Although one thing he can see from his seat is that horrid woman glaring at you, waiting for the chance to take you away from them only just to scold you. After dropping off the menus and giving a rundown of the night's specials, you leave telling them youâll be back in a few minutes for their orders. As you walk away Bruce notices your manager snapping with her hands and glaring at you with that permanent scowl on her face. She motions for you to follow her to the back.
After witnessing that interaction the boys are only left to imagine what sheâs yelling at you about. Most of the family members are able to hide their contempt after seeing your manager's rude behaviour, the witchâs actions will likely dictate the mood for the rest of the night. Dick is the only one visibly upset, BlĂŒdhaven has been so chaotic recently getting to see you tonight had been the only thing that kept him from falling apart. Now because that wicked witch of the waste is on some power trip, whatever lecture sheâs giving you right now will weigh on you the whole night, leaving you to be even more reserved than you already are. How is he supposed to be a good brother to you if you don't let him in?,The rest of the family comes to a similar conclusion. It's clear that this job environment is an unhealthy one, they would rather you work somewhere else, or better yet not at all. The only reason theyâve allowed you to work here for so long is because itâs the most practical way to grow closer to you. Once theyâre further along with the plan, you wonât ever have to step foot in this place again.
âSorry about the waitâ your voice soft, eyes not meeting theirs, face carrying a faint frustration. their prediction clearly came to fruition, much to the familyâs displeasure. âWhat can I get yâall to drinkâ you smile, attempting to remain composed as you take their orders. A quality of yours the family admired, although they often wished youâd take your mask off and allow yourself to be vulnerable around them. But for now theyâre your guests, not your family. Writing down their order smiling the same forced smile âperfect Iâll be right back with thoseâ once again walking away. âWhy canât that women understand theyâre not meant to handle that much pressure, itâs absurd how she expects them to perform optimally nowâ Damian voices his opinion, his expression unreadable to most but itâs evident to the family heâs unbelievably angry at just how much you let that women affect you. âWhy canât you just fire her, it would make our baby bird's life much easierâ Dick who is also in aggrence, his protectiveness evident in his voice. Dickâs question goes unanswered. Truthfully even if some of the family tries to dĂ©nie it, the reason they kept all these horrible coworkers around you was selfish. They wanted to push you to your limits, before they swooped in to save you.
3 minutes is the standard time for a table to wait for drinks. However with the Waynes your managers instilled into the whole staff that they never wait for a table, 1 minute 50 seconds is their standard for drinks and 25 minutes for food. With Albertine breathing down your neck, having 4 other tables to attend too, and a pounding headache. thereâs not much keeping you from breaking down. The only thing you want right now is your bed, but that wonât happen for at least another 4 hours depending on when you're cut. At least Roa clocks in at 7:00, which is in roughly 10 minutes. Finishing off the drinks with Bruceâs red wine, you push down your stress and prepare to head over. âHere you goâ you place everyoneâs respective drinks in front of them. âIs everyone ready to orderâ hand instivily reaching for your notebook, but remembering what Albertine told you in the back âif you want to look somewhat professional at least memorize their orders, no notepadâ you stop yourself, and pray they donât order anything too complicated. âIâll have the 8oz steak, medium rareâ Burceâs order wouldnât be a problem, he always got the same thing. âCan I get the Coq au vinâ the oldest boy orders, who youâre pretty sure is dick. Tim goes next âIâll get the boeuf bourguignonâ, he has a satisfied smirk, probably because he has the best pronunciation so far. âmay I have the ratatouilleâ The youngest orders, clearly annoyed by his brotherâs antics. âPerfect Iâll go ring those inâ, mumbling their orders to yourself as you ring them in, thankful they didnât ask for any accommodations or changes you should be able to remember them just fine.
âThey wonât make a mistake will they?â Dick asks, stressed at the fact they didnât grab their notebook. âThey shouldnât, although if you ordered what you originally wanted they definitely would haveâ Bruceâs answerâs straight to the point. Although thereâs a subtle praise in his wording, appreciating how they eased your workload. âItâs despicable just how much they're overworking them hereâ Damian's scowl seems to be permanent as he watches you attend to other tables, he knows itâs your job but theyâre the Waynes they should be the only table you attend to tonight. That good for nothing manager who cares far too much about their opinion canât even get that one thing right. âYou got that right, and with how the nightâs going I bet theyâll only check on us two times, three if weâre luckyâ Timâs voice pissâs Damian off even more, even if it is in agreement. âYou donât actually mean thatâ Dick pipes in,his voice radiating a sense of distress. âOf course I do, look at them. barely keeping it togetherâ Tim points out. Itâs true the tension in your shoulders is evident and your mask is already slipping, the worst part thereâs almost nothing they can do besides tip you. Although even that doesnât feel like enough. The serverâs here tip out not only to the hostesses and busboys but also to the back, additionally you all have to pool your tips and split them evenly amongst the staff. This fact does nothing but motivate the Waynes to get you out of here as soon as possible.
23 minutes tick by, as the Wayne family watches you talk to other customers, complete your side work, and narrowly avoid another scolding from that damn manager. It bothers them that Tim was right, accepting that tonight is just an evening of observing you rather than growing slightly closer. It's moments like these that makes Bruce wish his name wasnât as influential as it is. Thankfully you approach them once again with their meals. Although, the stress on your face is more prominent than earlier, the smile is even more forced, with the way you carry yourself youâre clearly being pushed to the limits. âHere you all goâ even your voice sounds so much more tired, compared to when you were greeting them. At least you got their order right, not that any of them would say anything if you didnât. âAnything else I can grab you?â You ask, so considerate they really should be the ones taking care of you, but all in due time. âI believe weâll be alrightâ Bruce replies, not wanting you to strain yourself even more.
Only approaching them once as they ate, only to ask them if everything was to their liking. They knew it was protocol to ask each table that question, but they still wished youâd approach them, and initiate a conversation about anything but the food. As they ate in silence itâs clear tonight they didnât make as much progress as theyâd like. Maybe Bruce should have kept these outings to himself for a little longer. Or perhaps they should go on a day Jacques is the manager, he tends to be somewhat more lenient. Whatever the case may be this evening has been bittersweet for the entire family, and theyâll plan accordingly for next week to make up for the lost progress. Because thatâs what family does for each other, they go above and beyond.

peach mango pie đ„§
pairing: kinich x chef!reader tags: fluff, kinich is a bit grumpy here but we cool, based off that one tiktok i saw around 4 months ago but i forgot where it is now, implied insomnia, not proofread (i think i've never proofread my works help), the title is based on what i wanted to cook for a while already and i did (i'm actually eating it right now)
as a hunter, kinich usually suffices with just meat and berries he caught in the wild. he doesn't care about the quality as long as it is edible and it fills up his stomach (not too much though to avoid feeling too full). ajaw has complained multiple times about this but kinich reprimands him that they can't just slack off during a commission to cook a 5-course meal, much to the dragonlord's rage.
which is why when he met you, ajaw was ecstatic. you would always give so much treats to the point kinich reprimands you to not spoil ajaw too much.
jokes on him, though, kinich is guilty of being spoiled too. you always make sure he eats 3 meals a day while also checking if the food won't be a hindrance to him when he goes out for commissions. nevertheless, though, kinich is super grateful for your kindness.
so whenever kinich comes home after a long day, he would always await for whatever meal you had prepped up for dinner and hug you tiredly. in exchange, he does the dishes so you won't have to carry the burden of cooking the meals and doing the dishes.
kinich is thankful, he really is, but there's just one thing that concerns him.
àšà§
it's 3 am and kinich woke up from a bad dream. it was you leaving him for some fontaine boy, without even telling him the reason of why you broke up with him.
he was looking for your presence, about to panic because you weren't there, but then he started to smell something from the kitchen.
"oh god not again."
he immediately gets up and the moment he steps out the door, he sees you holding a tray of red velvet cookies. not only that, but he spots another tray which seems to be bagels stuffed with hotdogs.
you turn to see him looking at you with an expression that only you know that means "disbelief". he looks nonchalant, but really he's just ??? about why you're baking at 3 am AGAIN.
"good morning," you smile and take a bite off a cookie.
"why are you cooking at 3 am again? can't sleep?" he approaches you with slight worry. he's concerned about how you'd suddenly wake up at ungodly hours in the evening just to bake.
"mhm," you nod and let him embrace you. "and i was craving for the bagels we ate last week."
kinich sighs while ruffling your hair. "you couldn't wait till morning?"
"i felt the wayob telling me to do it now."
he chuckles and caresses your face, wiping the velvet crumbs off your face. "you probably misheard the wayob. you need to sleep, love."
you sigh and rest your head on his neck. "not tired..."
as you say that, kinich rolls his eyes because every time you say that, he ends up carrying you back to the bedroom while you sleep. which was what was happening right now, before he could even get the chance to tell you about it.
he sets your body gently on the bed, caressing your sleepy face and admiring how peaceful you look despite of the amount of desserts you baked just now.
kinich then sighs. that's another thing he has to worry about. where is he supposed to store the newly baked desserts when there's still 5 boxes from last time?
well, he'll just clean up for now and struggle it alone. what matters is that you're getting the amount of sleep you deserve right now.
"sleep well, my dearest."
[ written with love, yunniestars. à· ]
a/n: rahhh thanks for reading!! im really thankful for each time u guys read my work, it gives me lot of motiv hehe. one question though, how do u guys think kinich will say "love"? like the equivalent of "mon coeur?

You wake up to the sun softly beaming in your room. Limbs stretching beyond the covers. You look around a little confused as to when you got back in your bedroom. Then it all came together. John, John leaves today.
You get out of the covers leaving your bedroom hoping heâs still there but of course to your disappointment heâs gone. You head to the kitchen knowing at least there will be a note.Â
Good morning doll, I thought of waking you but decided against it, though I might regret it. The movie was good, you seemed to really be enjoying it also:) Here's the phone number of a friend in case any problems arise. Next time Iâm back I hope to see another painting - JohnÂ
(xxx-xxx-xxxx) - nick
You stare at it trying not to let your emotions get the best of you. So you fold it and put it in the kitchen drawer. Although John was an awfully quiet roommate you could feel the weight of his absence. The cold floor beneath your feet has grown warm for how long youâve stood there. You make your way towards the front door deciding that an iced coffee and a long drive with music will rid you of this feeling you canât decipher it feels like want but in a way itâs also need but what is it you want and need? Not even you could answer that question.
Long story short you think it made the feeling intensify.

Youâve booked your schedule full leaving not an ounce of time for yourself. From the morning till night you had clients which were good for money but really it was a distraction for your mind. That same feeling felt like it was running into new veins every day seemingly consuming you.Â
You tried to start a new painting but something was off about the color scheme and it was a waste not only of time but material and energy. You wonder how John is.

No problems have arisen since heâs been gone. It's like the house knows youâll call the expensive plumber instead of Johnâs friend.Â
However you have started a painting you are beginning to like. Itâs a mix of hues youâve never used before blues and oranges, a flame. You donât know where or why the idea came to you but itâs what you wanted so you started it. A single candle is the outline, and the surrounding of it is the orange yellowish aura of a flame. You tried making ratatouille the other day and although it was good you wished it was made out of pepperonis like your childhood mind had imagined. You forgot there was no longer anyone to finish left overs so you ate it for three days straight.
Also you bought a new rug.

Youâve begun putting the final laminate on the painting. Itâs taken you far longer than it wouldâve if you hadnât accepted 15 new clients. Not that you mind anyways.Â
Youâre also a little ambivalent to the idea of John paying for 6 months of rent when he doesnât even live here during it.Â
Besides that life seems stagnant and youâve begun to lock your bedroom door at night again.Â

The painting now hangs a foot away from where the other one in front of Johnâs door does. Itâs a beautiful contrast and really you were overjoyed at the outcome. You also randomly decided itâd be a good idea one night after too much wine to order new furniture for the outside deck. When it arrived you were one in disbelief of all the building pieces and and two excited to have something more to do.Â
You should've stayed up the night John left.

Redecorating the deck wasnât enough change. You needed a makeover physically but couldnât decide how. Maybe a tattoo? No. New makeup? No. How about a haircut? Fuck it, yes.Â
So you did just that, you got a few almost unnoticeable highlights and chopped a good amount off. After the fact you were obsessed. Was it impulsive and could it have gone so horribly wrong, yes. But did it? No.Â

Johnâs still not back and itâs all you could think about. What if something happened to him? What if he wasnât coming back? You worried yourself sick so much so you physically became sick.Â
You waited week by week for anything, maybe heâs back on base but just hasnât come back home yet. But something was telling you it was more than that.Â

At this point worrying wasnât going to make him appear. Your hobbies have now turned into distractions. So tonight you sit in the living room with a glass of wine and watch another rom com. Youâre as comfy as can be in this cold brutal weather. It stays below 30 degrees Fahrenheit during this time of year and the snow bites at any unclothed skin.Â
You fall asleep to the small hum of the heater while on the couch. Thick blanket thrown across you and tv playing as background chatter.Â
You donât know when you wake but itâs still dark outside when you hear someone that sounds distressed. Your groggy mind isnât processing that the sound is coming from inside the house. But when it does you're up in a second looking around as your eyes try to adjust to the darkness.Â
âFuck!â You hear from down the hall. Johnâs room.
You walk quietly towards it as he continues to chant that word. Suddenly it falls silent and you just hear what sounds to be deep breaths. You donât know what wills you to knock, but you do.Â
âJohn, are you okay?â You ask softly from behind the closed door. He doesnât respond but you know heâs in there from the quiet but quick breathing.Â
âNo.â He says with that familiar deep drawl.
You open the door slowly to see him sitting on the floor near the corner of his bed clearly distressed. You take notice of the mess wondering how you slept through the making of it. Thereâs glass from somewhere on the floor and clothes strewn but when you look at him your heart breaks. Heâs in full uniform, vest on, belt with equipment on, as if he didnât stop anywhere. Just came straight here. His hair has grown out to an odd length and his beard has grown longer.Â
âI canât get this fucking vest off.â He interrupts your thoughts looking at you with a sense of sorrow. You kneel to where he is careful to avoid glass. His eyes donât glance up to meet yours; they stay fixated on his hands that are covered in dirt.
âMay I?â You gesture towards the plastic buckles on the vest. He nods and you start with the two at his shoulders. Then you reach down his chest to undo the two near his belt buckle. You realize it must be connected somewhere in the back when it doesnât come off. He leans forwards as you look trying to avoid the bloodstains that taint the once green vest and sure enough the tiniest but mightiest buckle is on the center of his lower back. He shrugs it off with a sigh.Â
âBetter?â You ask softly.
âYeah, Thankyou.â He slowly tilts his head back to lean on the comforter and you donât move an inch.Â
âWhat can I do?â Truthfully youâve never been in a situation so unbearably awkward but so unwilling to just leave.
âJust sit here with me.â So you do. You scoot right next to him and lean your head on his shoulder. He couldnât admit it but the nights he slept in cold frost biting weather the thought of returning to your warm presence got him through.
âHe almost died.â His voice gives out at the end of that sentence.
âWho?âÂ
âJohnny, it wouldâve been my fault. One second later and they wouldâve put a bullet through his skull.â
âBut heâs okay?â You know John loves his team even though he doesnât outwardly say it.
âHeâs perfectly fine.âÂ
âWorrying about what couldâve been will kill you.âÂ
âSometimes I feel like thatâs what I deserve for some of the things Iâve done.âÂ
âIf not you it would be someone else making the world a better place.âÂ
âI know.âÂ
You sit there with him for a while in silence. He can barely believe he made it back alive but right now the battle feels worth it. He hears soft snores not too long later and realizes youâve fallen back to sleep. His head leans to rest above yours as he closes his eyes. He knows sleep wonât come to him but heâs never had you this close and for now heâll cherish it.
ââââ-
When you woke up again the sun had risen and a golden glow lit Johnâs room.Â
âJohn.â You whisper trying not to move your head in case heâs sleeping.
âYeah doll.â He lifts his head to look at you.
âIâm so sorry.â You feel slightly embarrassed and bad that you just fell asleep on him.
âNothing to be sorry for.â He sighs before standing on his feet with a groan then offering you hand to help you up.
âIâm going to shower.â He says as you dust yourself off.
âAfter can I give you a haircut?â He laughs a little at your not so subtle realization of his long hair..
âIf youâd like.âÂ
âIâd love.â You say before leaving, assuring him youâd be back when he's done.
You pick up your mess from the previous night. Folding your blanket and putting it back in the basket near the couch. Taking your wine glass to the sink and rinsing it out. You go to your room and change into an outfit for the day and do your morning routine. After you grab your shears, clippers and cape. By the time you're done doing all of this you no longer hear the water running meaning Johnâs done with his shower. You knock on his door lightly.
âCome in.â You walk in to see him sweeping up his mess with the small house broom and canât help but smile at the sight.Â
âCome on, let's cut your hair in the bathroom, better lighting and you can see what Iâm doing.â You say heading straight there. You sit him on the little bathroom bar stool thatâs been in there since your ex moved out. Once heâs sitting the only cape you have is pink so you throw it on him begging yourself to not laugh which you fail causing him to smirk.Â
âOkay so Iâm just gonna clean it up, fade the sides a very little, cut the top with shears and what not.â You let him know.
âYou cut your hair?â He replies, staring at you through the mirror.
âYeah so?â You smile.
âI like it, it looks good.â You feel that feeling only johns been able to provoke.
âThankyou.â You begin the cut, slowly combing out sections making sure to be precise. He seems far more relaxed than youâd imagined as you just freely cut at the top. After the matter once you're satisfied you shave the sides a little just enough to where it looks cleaner.Â
âCan I do your beard and mustache?âÂ
âYou're the hairstylist, not me?â Is all he says.Â
So you do, very carefully, mere inches away from his face your hands hold one side of his jaw softly to trim the other side. He watches your expression intently. The way when youâre focused thereâs a crease that forms between your eyebrows and your pupils blow a little wide.
âAll done.â You say pulling him from his trance. You move his face with your hands really checking to make sure all is well.
âVery handsome.â You compliment before turning around to rinse your shears and put them away.Â
âThank You doll.â He says examining it himself in the mirror thoroughly pleased with how well you did even though he knows you donât cut menâs hair. He doesnât notice you grab his beard oil from the cabinet till you're smoothing it between your hands and asking him to face you so you can rub it through the coarse brown hair. Ever the nurturer.
It feels like time apart only made you two feel closer somehow. Or maybe itâs because you wanted to be close and those feelings were equally reciprocated.Â
The rest of that day John had loads of paperwork to file, sign and report. So he did that, he sat in his office for long hours going through the process. The only thing that slightly lightened this burden was your voice humming in the kitchen as you cooked something. Youâd stopped by and offered him some which he gladly accepted from your giving hands. Hours later you bid him a goodnight and went to bed and even then he had so much more left.
âââââ
The next day you catch John in the kitchen and tell him thereâs something you must show him.
âSo you built it all yourself?â He says as you show him your little project you did outside. Thereâs a thick coat wrapped around you as you donât fully step outside to avoid slipping on the icy ground. Him though, he stands on it with no problem in what looks like military issued boots.Â
âYes I did.â You say proudly despite his clear disdain.
âI missed you, even your stubbornness.â After the months Johnâs been through there was no point in hiding the way he was feeling.
âI missed you too.â You smile while clearly avoiding his gaze.
How had he missed this all along?
âWould you like to go out for drinks?â
âWhat?â You turn around to meet his eyes.
âCan I take you out for drinks?â What being mere inches away from death does to a man.
âYeah.âÂ
-
You both silently walk away trying to break the bounds of the tense pull that makes you want to gravitate towards each other. You put on something cute but also warm and slip on some brown doc martens as your choice of shoe. You do light makeup as you give yourself a pep talk.
âOnly two drinks, only two drinks.â You have to tell yourself cause after two your too you.Â
You hear John putting his shoes on by the hallway and take in the sight of him, brown leather jacket and beanie. Youâre not sure how heâs going to stay warm in that but something tells you he will.
âReady?â He asks and you nod nervously.
-
âOkay, hold on, I have to do this really slow or Iâll fall.â You say stepping slowly out onto the ground below the porch stairs.Â
âWell come here Iâll help you.â He offers his hand. You grab it softly, swooning at the way it encompasses your own. Thereâs something inside of him that doesnât even want you to risk walking on this floor but of course he also doesnât want to push.Â
âOkay nice and slow.â Youâre not even taking full steps, just small slides. You clutch his hand for dear life and he loves it.Â
âGood girl.â He says once you reach the door of his truck which he opens for you. He doesnât let go till you sit inside then only does he slip his hand from your warm one and closes the door.Â
âWhich pub?â You ask as he turns on the heater only for your sake.
âThe one downtown near the little Italian grocer.â You know exactly which one heâs talking about. Its dim light atmosphere is cozy but fun but usually full of mainly couples.
âMkay.â You say looking out the window at the gloomy sky realizing it just might rain.Â
He glances your way during the small drive, your scent of your floral perfume mixed with his of cardamom and musk is quite perfect.Â
âYou alright?â He asks.
âYeah, just comfy, you?â He grins at your response.
âNever been better.â
He pulls into one of the street parking spots and despite the weather the streets are full, he gets out to put coins inside the slot for time before heading to your side of the car.Â
âWait, I'm scared.â You say realizing that the distance to the bar doesnât seem to be a survivable one.Â
âCome on, I'll hold your hand.â
âIâll fall regardless.â
âWant me to carry you?â He genuinely offers.
âWhat?â You laugh.Â
âDoll Iâm very serious I will carry you, just get on my back.â
âWhat if we both fall?âÂ
âIâm not falling, trust me.â He says turning around motions for you to get on his back.
âOkay then.â You hook your legs around his upper waist and his arms reach to tuck themselves firmly beneath your knees.
âComfortable?â He asks. Heâs sure you can hear his heart racing from the proximity youâre in.Â
âVery.â All your dreams of climbing this man have come true.Â
You shut the door as he steps onto the sidewalk. You tuck your chin in by his neck for warmth. He smells woodsy with a hint of musk, it makes your head spin.
âHow are you not slipping?â You say very suspicious.
âDoll I could run on this floor with these boots on.â He answers looking slightly over his shoulder at you.
âWell donât.â You say seriously and he laughs as he approaches the bar, opening the door and setting you softly on the floor.Â
He finds you both a booth in the corner and sits on the side where he can see the entire bar, very John of John.
âWhat do you drink?â He asks, trying to make conversation. Suddenly the air feels very intimate, almost too intimate for what he considers his old man heart.
âWhen Iâm out, martinis.âÂ
âEspresso?âÂ
âMhmm.â Youâre trying your hardest to hold the eye contact heâs giving you but something about the blue in his eyes and creases on the side of them has you breaking it quicker than it started.
âIâll be back then.â He says sliding out of the booth feeling slightly accomplished.
You sit there looking at the lively pub, how many romances are at their peak here, how many friends are having the best night of their lives, how you amongst them are finally feeling like you again.Â
âHere we are.â He says returning with two glasses, his is a classic bourbon with a square ice cube in the glass.
âThankyou.â You say as he slides it over to you.
âSo whatâd you do while I was gone, other than be reckless and build furniture.â He asks as you sip from your glass.
âI did lots of hair, painted a bit, found new color schemes for decor and thatâs kinda it, Iâd ask you the same question but I fear you canât answer.âÂ
âYour fears are true.â
âThat Kate woman, she's very pretty.â Are you a little jealous?
âYeah sheâs also very married.â He says it like he doesnât know what you're on about.
âAnd also not into men.â You nearly choke on your drink and swallow hard to get it down.
âWell I was just saying.â Sure you were.
You two have small chatter as you go through drinks. You tried to offer the second round but John said no for you to just stay in your seat. He came back with thirds and you definitely were starting to feel the effects of the previous two, him though not at all.
âSo youâre telling me John you as very um good looking as you are havenât had a girlfriend in how long?âÂ
âEight years.â He says while being very amused with your light hearted, open attitude.
âThatâs just not right.â
âNo?âÂ
âNo, personally, well never mind.â Youâre not drunk enough to say what you were about too.
âWhat about you, why no boyfriends?âÂ
âIâm very, I would say needy I guess clingy even, Iâm a double texter, someone who worries and loves too much and I think that can be overwhelming for a lot of people.â You admit.
âDonât believe that.â He says, sounding a little annoyed.
âFor the right person you could never be overwhelming.â He says looking at you intensely and this time you canât seem to look away.
Once your third drink is finished itâs raining outside and youâre words away from trouble.
âJohn?âÂ
âYeah doll.â
âYou make me feel alive again.â You admit, the alcohol has casted a pretty shade of pink on your cheeks as you lean your head on your hand and John doesnât think heâs ever been more entranced.Â
âYou and me both, here drink some water.â He slides it to you. Youâre sweet, too sweet. He feels like if he touches you physically or emotionally heâd be tainting art.
âHas anyone told you you're very climbable?âÂ
âItâs time for us to get going, you're quite the light weight.â He laughs offering you a hand as you slide off the booth.
He leaves a tip on the table before walking with you to the door. He has to bend far more than he normally would for you to secure yourself on his back before heâs walking outside. This time heâs walking faster because of the rain droplets that are falling hard. He seats you in the car and reaches across you to buckle you in before heading to his side.Â
The drive home is pretty quiet, he drives extra slowly because of the precious cargo he carries. Once he pulls back into the gravelly drive way you unbuckle and open the door as he puts the car in park.Â
âYou donât want to wait for me.â He asks, a little concerned.
âI got this.â You hop out of the elevated truck immediately slipping and having to grab onto the door. He walks quickly to your side laughing at the expression on your face.
âYou sure do.â He says as he grabs your arm
âOh stop it.â You say accepting the help, sliding your feet on the ice again till you get to the door. Once you get inside you groan into the toasty air.Â
âThankyou for tonight John.â You say facing him once you kick your boots off. You hadnât realized how close you were till you turned around and could feel the heat radiating off of him and smell the bourbon on his breath.Â
âNo, thank you.â He says feeling awfully captivated, hanging onto your every move. You cup his face and stand on your tippy toes, boldly yet slowly placing a kiss on the corner of his lips.Â
Heâs starstruck. Absolutely dazed at the look of mischief in your eyes, something that tells him you know exactly what youâre doing to him.Â
âGoodnight John.â You say patting his chest and walking down towards your room.
âââââ
I couldn't wait till tommorrow i'm sorry.

taglist (hit me up if you wanna be added): -â
requests are open, but you can just say hi! | masterlist
You never expected to fall in love in college, let alone with someone like Hong Joshua. As one of the most popular students at your university, you were used to attention, but Joshua was different. He saw beyond your carefully curated image, past the smiles and the social ease, right to the core of who you were.
Your relationship started slowly, tentatively. Coffee dates that turned into long walks around campus, stolen glances during lectures, and late-night study sessions that had more to do with learning each other than any subject material. You remembered the first time you really noticed him, in your shared Literature class. He was sitting two rows ahead, his dark hair slightly tousled, completely engrossed in the professor's lecture on romantic poetry.
As you watched him scribble notes furiously, his brow furrowed in concentration, you felt a strange flutter in your chest. It wasn't just that he was handsome â though he undeniably was â but there was something about the intensity of his focus, the way he seemed to lose himself in the words, that drew you in.
After class, you found yourself lingering, pretending to organize your bag as you watched him from the corner of your eye. To your surprise, he approached you, a shy smile playing on his lips.
"Hey," he said, his voice softer than you expected. "I'm Joshua. I've seen you around campus, but I don't think we've officially met."
You introduced yourself, trying to ignore the way your heart raced as he shook your hand. His touch was warm, his grip firm but gentle.
"I was wondering," he continued, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice, "if you'd like to grab coffee sometime? I could use a study partner for the upcoming exam, and you always seem to have great insights in class."
You found yourself nodding before you even fully processed his words. "I'd love to," you replied, surprised by how steady your voice sounded despite the butterflies in your stomach.
That first coffee date turned into two, then three, then countless more. You discovered that Joshua was not just handsome and smart, but also kind, funny, and surprisingly vulnerable. He told you about his dreams of becoming a singer, how he'd spend hours practicing in the shower or humming melodies under his breath.
"My parents want me to have a 'practical' career," he confided one evening, as you sat together on a bench overlooking the campus lake. "But music... it's like breathing to me. I can't imagine my life without it."
You reached out, taking his hand in yours. "Then don't give it up," you said softly. "You have an amazing voice, Joshua. The world deserves to hear it."
He looked at you then, his eyes shining with something that made your breath catch in your throat. "You really think so?"
"I know so," you replied, and the smile he gave you in return was brighter than any star in the sky.
Before you knew it, five months had passed, and you were head over heels. Joshua had become not just your boyfriend, but your best friend, your confidant, your rock. He was the first person you wanted to share good news with, the one you turned to when you were feeling down.
One particularly memorable evening, you and Joshua strolled across campus, your fingers intertwined. The air was crisp with the promise of autumn, and the setting sun painted the sky in shades of orange and pink. You couldn't help but smile as you caught him humming softly under his breath â a habit you'd grown to adore over the past five months.
"What's that song?" you asked, nudging him playfully.
Joshua's cheeks flushed slightly, a bashful smile playing on his lips. "Oh, just something I've been working on. It's not ready yet."
You squeezed his hand encouragingly, your heart swelling with affection. "I'm sure it's beautiful. You know I love hearing you sing."
His eyes met yours, filled with warmth and something deeper â a vulnerability that both thrilled and scared you. "Maybe I'll play it for you someday," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.
As you approached the campus coffee shop, a group of girls whispered and giggled, their eyes fixed on Joshua. You were used to this by now â being with one of the most popular guys on campus came with its share of attention. But Joshua seemed oblivious, his focus solely on you.
Inside the coffee shop, as you waited for your orders, you noticed Joshua's gaze drift to a couple in the corner. A flicker of emotion â was it sadness? â crossed his face before he quickly looked away.
"Joshua?" you probed gently, concern creeping into your voice. "Is everything okay?"
He plastered on a smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "Of course. Just thinking about that assignment for Professor Kim's class."
You knew he was deflecting, but you didn't push. There was still so much about Joshua's past that remained a mystery to you. You'd learned early on that he was intensely private about certain aspects of his life, particularly his romantic history. Whenever you tried to broach the subject of past relationships, he'd change the topic or gently steer the conversation in a different direction.
You noticed that all the pictures on his social media only went back about a year, as if his life before that had been carefully erased. It was as though he was trying to start fresh, to reinvent himself. Part of you was curious, even a little worried about what he might be hiding. But another part of you trusted him implicitly, believing that if it was important, he'd tell you when he was ready.
"Don't worry about the past," he'd tell you whenever you hinted at wanting to know more, pulling you close and pressing a kiss to your forehead. "You're my present and my future."
And for a while, that was enough. The way Joshua looked at you, the way he held you, the way he seemed to anticipate your needs before you even voiced them â it all made you feel cherished, loved in a way you'd never experienced before. You told yourself that everyone had a past, and what mattered was the here and now.
But there were moments, fleeting and rare, when you'd catch a shadow pass over Joshua's face. A song on the radio would make him go quiet, or a certain scent would cause him to tense up momentarily. In those moments, you felt the weight of his unspoken history, and you couldn't help but wonder about the ghosts that still seemed to haunt him.
Despite these occasional moments of uncertainty, your relationship with Joshua continued to blossom. You fell into a comfortable rhythm, your lives intertwining in a way that felt both exciting and incredibly natural. Joshua became a fixture in your apartment, his textbooks mingling with yours on your desk, his hoodie draped over your chair.
Your friends teased you good-naturedly about how inseparable you'd become. "It's like you two are joined at the hip," your housemate Anna would say, rolling her eyes but smiling affectionately.
You couldn't deny it. Being with Joshua felt right in a way you couldn't quite explain. It was as if you'd found a piece of yourself you didn't even know was missing.
One night, as you lay tangled together on your bed, Joshua trailing lazy kisses along your collarbone, you felt an overwhelming surge of emotion.
"Joshua," you whispered, your voice thick with feeling.
He looked up at you, his eyes dark and intense in the dim light. "Yeah?"
"I... I love you," you said, the words tumbling out before you could stop them. You'd never said it before, had been too scared of the vulnerability it implied. But in that moment, with Joshua's arms around you and his heartbeat steady against your chest, you couldn't hold it back any longer.
For a moment, Joshua went very still, and you felt a flicker of panic. Had you said it too soon? But then his face broke into the most beautiful smile you'd ever seen, his eyes shining with unshed tears.
"I love you too," he said, his voice husky with emotion. "God, Y/N, I love you so much."
He kissed you then, pouring all his feelings into it, and you felt as though your heart might burst from happiness.
It was in moments like these that you forgot about the mysteries in Joshua's past, about the sadness that sometimes lingered in his eyes. All that mattered was the love you shared, the future you were building together.
But life, as you were about to learn, had a way of bringing the past crashing into the present when you least expected it.
-
It was an ordinary Friday when your world turned upside down. You were walking across campus, hand in hand with Joshua, discussing your plans for the weekend. The air was buzzing with the usual energy of students eager for the week to end, but something felt off. You noticed people staring more than usual, whispers following in your wake.
"Is it just me," you said to Joshua, trying to keep your voice light, "or are people acting weird today?"
Joshua frowned, his eyes scanning the faces around you. "Yeah, something's definitely up. But I have no idea what."
It wasn't until you got to class that you found out. Your best friend, Ela, pulled you aside before you could take your seat, her face a mask of concern.
"Have you heard the podcast?" she asked, her voice low and urgent.
You blinked, confused. "What podcast?"
Ela bit her lip, then pulled out her phone. "It's gone viral on campus. Everyone's talking about it. I... I think you need to hear this."
As she pressed play, a soft voice filled the air. "I thought he was my forever," the voice said, tinged with sadness. "He promised me the world, promised me eternity. But I guess forever has an expiration date."
Your heart sank as you listened, a cold dread settling in your stomach. The girl on the podcast never mentioned names, but the details were too specific to be coincidence. She talked about a boy who loved to sing, who had a smile that could melt hearts, who dreamed of becoming a performer.
She talked about Joshua. Your Joshua.
"And now he has a new girlfriend," the voice continued, a hint of bitterness creeping in. "She's everything I'm not. Sheâs popular, I saw her pictures and sheâs so beautiful and she smiles pretty, and she has a lot of friends, and I bet she can parallel park. Everything I was always insecure about."
You felt like you couldn't breathe. This was Joshua's ex, laying bare all the pain and heartbreak for the world to hear. And in doing so, she'd inadvertently put a target on your back.
"Ela," you said, your voice barely above a whisper, "how many people have heard this?"
Your friend's expression was grim. "It's everywhere, Y/N. Twitter, Instagram, TikTok... people are reposting it like crazy."
You closed your eyes, trying to steady yourself. "Does... does Joshua know?"
"I don't think so," Ela replied. "At least, not yet. But Y/N... you need to talk to him. This is going to blow up, and fast."
You nodded, feeling numb. "I will. After class. I just... I need a moment to process this."
But as you sat through the lecture, you couldn't focus on a single word the professor said. Your mind was racing, replaying every moment with Joshua, every conversation, every tender look. Had it all been a lie? Was he still in love with his ex? And why hadn't he told you about her?
As soon as class ended, you rushed out, your heart pounding. You needed to find Joshua, to hear his side of the story. But as you stepped into the hallway, you were met with a sea of stares and whispers.
"That's her," you heard someone say. "The new girlfriend."
"I can't believe she'd do that to Yunha," another voice chimed in. "They were so perfect together."
You pushed through the crowd, fighting back tears. This couldn't be happening. It felt like a nightmare you couldn't wake up from.
You found Joshua outside the music building, his face pale and drawn. When he saw you, his eyes filled with a mixture of guilt and fear.
"Y/N," he said, reaching for you. "I can explain-"
But before he could say another word, you felt your world tilt on its axis. The stress, the shock, and the emotional turmoil of the day caught up with you all at once. Your vision blurred, your legs gave out, and the last thing you heard was Joshua calling your name as darkness enveloped you.
When you woke up, you were in the campus infirmary, the harsh fluorescent lights making you squint. Joshua was by your side, holding your hand, his face etched with worry.
"Hey," he said softly as your eyes fluttered open. "How are you feeling?"
You tried to sit up, wincing at the throbbing in your head. "What happened?"
"You fainted," Joshua explained, helping you into a sitting position. "The nurse said it was probably due to stress and low blood sugar. You've been out for about an hour."
As the fog in your mind cleared, the events of the day came rushing back. The podcast, the whispers, the revelations about Joshua's past. You pulled your hand away from his, suddenly feeling like you were touching a stranger.
"Joshua," you said, your voice hoarse, "we need to talk about the podcast."
He closed his eyes, pain etched across his features. "I know. Y/N, I'm so sorry. I never meant for any of this to happen. I should have told you about Yunha, about our history. I just... I thought if I could just start fresh, leave all that in the past, it wouldn't matter anymore."
You felt tears welling up in your eyes. "But it does matter, Joshua. It matters because now the whole campus thinks I'm some kind of homewrecker. It matters because you kept this huge part of your life from me. How am I supposed to trust you after this?"
Joshua reached for your hand again, and this time you let him take it. "I know I messed up," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "But Y/N, you have to believe me when I say that what I feel for you is real. More real than anything I've ever felt before."
You wanted to believe him. God knows, how you wanted to believe him. But the doubt had taken root, and you couldn't shake the feeling that everything you thought you knew about your relationship had been built on a foundation of lies.
"I need time," you said finally, pulling your hand away. "To think, to process all of this. Can you... can you give me that?"
The look of hurt on Joshua's face made your heart ache, but you knew you needed space to sort out your feelings. He nodded, standing up slowly.
"Of course," he said softly. "Take all the time you need. Just... please don't shut me out completely. When you're ready to talk, I'll be here."
As he left the infirmary, you felt a piece of your heart go with him. But you also felt a resolve hardening within you. You needed answers, and you were determined to get them â no matter how painful they might be.
The next few weeks were a nightmare. Everywhere you went, you could feel eyes on you, hear the whispers behind your back. People you thought were friends suddenly became cold and distant. Your Instagram, once filled with supportive comments and likes, became a battleground of hate and accusations.
"Home wrecker," one comment read. "How does it feel to steal someone else's happiness?"
Another was even more vicious: "You don't deserve him. Yunha and Joshua were soulmates. You're just a pretty distraction."
You tried to brush it off, to hold your head high, but each comment felt like a dagger to your heart. Even worse was the way some of your so-called friends began to distance themselves, afraid of being associated with the scandal.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," your classmate Hoshi said awkwardly one day after class. "It's just... people are talking, you know? And my girlfriend thinks maybe we shouldn't hang out so much anymore."
You nodded, trying to keep your expression neutral even as you felt another piece of your world crumbling. "It's fine, Hoshi. I understand."
But you didn't understand. Not really. How could people be so quick to judge, so eager to believe the worst about you without even knowing the full story?
You threw yourself into your studies, spending long hours in the library, trying to drown out the whispers and stares with the comforting rustle of pages and the scratch of your pen. But even in the quiet sanctuary of the stacks, you couldn't escape the weight of judgment that seemed to follow you everywhere.
One evening, as you were poring over your textbooks, you felt a presence beside you. Looking up, you saw Anna, your roommate, hovering uncertainly.
"Hey," she said softly, sliding into the chair across from you. "I've been worried about you. You've barely been in the room lately."
You shrugged, trying to appear nonchalant. "Just been busy with studying."
Anna reached out, gently closing your book. "Y/N, talk to me. Please. I know things have been rough, but I'm still your friend. I want to help."
Something in her tone, the genuine concern in her eyes, made the walls you'd built up over the past weeks crumble. Before you knew it, you were sobbing quietly, your shoulders shaking as Anna moved to wrap her arms around you.
"I don't know what to do," you whispered between sobs. "Everything's such a mess. I love Joshua, I really do, but how can I trust him after this? And everyone on campus hates me for something I didn't even do."
Anna stroked your hair soothingly. "Not everyone hates you, Y/N. The people who matter know you're not the person they're making you out to be. And as for Joshua... have you talked to him since that day?"
You shook your head. "I've been avoiding him. I just... I don't know what to say."
"Maybe it's time you did," Anna suggested gently. "You can't run from this forever. And who knows? Maybe hearing his side of the story will help you make sense of things."
You knew she was right, but the thought of facing Joshua, of reopening the wounds that were just starting to scab over, made your stomach churn with anxiety.
"I'll think about it," you promised, wiping your eyes. "Thanks, Anna. For being here, for not judging me."
She squeezed your hand. "That's what friends are for. And Y/N? Remember, this will pass. It might not feel like it now, but it will. You're stronger than you think."
Her words stayed with you as you packed up your books and made your way back to your apartment. The campus was quiet, most students already settled in for the night. As you walked, you found yourself thinking about Joshua, wondering what he was doing, if he was struggling as much as you were.
Almost without realizing it, your feet had carried you to his dorm building. You stood there for a long moment, debating whether to go in or turn back. Finally, taking a deep breath, you made your decision.
The walk to Joshua's room felt both endless and far too short. Before you were ready, you found yourself standing in front of his door, your heart pounding. You raised your hand to knock, then hesitated. What if he wasn't alone? What if he didn't want to see you?
But before you could talk yourself out of it, the door swung open. Joshua stood there, looking as surprised to see you as you were to suddenly be face-to-face with him. He looked tired, dark circles under his eyes, his hair messy as if he'd been running his hands through it repeatedly.
"Y/N," he breathed, his eyes wide. "I... what are you doing here?"
You swallowed hard, trying to find your voice. "I think... I think it's time we talked."
Joshua nodded, stepping back to let you in. His room was a mess, clothes strewn about, empty coffee cups littering his desk. It was so unlike the usually tidy Joshua that it made your heart ache.
"Sorry about the mess," he said, hurriedly clearing some books off his bed so you could sit. "I haven't been... I mean, things have been..."
"Rough?" you supplied, and he nodded, a ghost of a smile touching his lips.
"Yeah. Rough."
You sat on the edge of his bed, and he took the chair at his desk, leaving a careful distance between you. For a moment, neither of you spoke, the silence heavy with all the things left unsaid.
Finally, you took a deep breath. "Joshua, I need to know the truth. All of it. About Yunha, about your relationship, about why you never told me."
Joshua ran a hand through his hair, his expression pained. "I know I owe you an explanation. I just... I don't know where to start."
"The beginning," you said softly. "Start at the beginning."
And so he did. He told you about meeting Yunha in high school, how they'd bonded over their shared love of music. How their relationship had started as a friendship and slowly blossomed into something more.
"She was my first love," Joshua admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I thought... I really thought we'd be together forever. We had all these plans, you know? We were going to go to the same college, pursue our dreams together."
"What changed?" you asked, trying to ignore the twinge of jealousy you felt at the obvious affection in his voice when he spoke of Yunha.
Joshua's expression darkened. "Life changed. I got accepted here on a music scholarship, but Yunha... she didn't get in. We tried long-distance for a while, but it was hard. We were both changing, growing in different directions. And then..."
He trailed off, looking away. You waited, your heart pounding.
"And then?" you prompted gently.
Joshua took a shaky breath. "And then I met you. And everything changed again. I didn't mean for it to happen, Y/N. I wasn't looking to fall in love. But being with you... it felt right in a way nothing ever had before. It scared me how quickly and deeply I fell for you."
You felt tears pricking at your eyes. "So what happened with Yunha?"
"I broke up with her," Joshua said, his voice heavy with regret. "Over the phone. God, I was such a coward. I told her I couldn't do the long-distance thing anymore, that we were growing apart. But the truth is, I was already falling for you, even if I hadn't admitted it to myself yet."
The pieces were starting to fall into place, but there was still one thing you didn't understand. "Why didn't you tell me about her, Joshua? Why keep it a secret?"
He looked at you then, his eyes filled with a mixture of shame and pleading. "Because I was afraid. Afraid that if you knew about Yunha, about how badly I'd hurt her, you wouldn't want to be with me. I thought if I could just start fresh, be the person I wanted to be with you, maybe I could leave all that guilt and pain behind."
You sat there, processing everything he'd said. Part of you understood his fear, his desire to start anew. But another part of you was hurt that he hadn't trusted you enough to be honest from the beginning.
"Joshua," you said finally, "I appreciate you telling me all this. But... it doesn't change the fact that you lied to me. By omission, maybe, but still. How can I trust you after this?"
He leaned forward, his eyes intense. "I know I messed up, Y/N. I know I should have been honest from the start. But please believe me when I say that everything between us has been real. My feelings for you, they're more real than anything I've ever felt."
You wanted to believe him. God, how you wanted to. But the doubt that had taken root was hard to shake.
"I need time," you said, standing up. "To think, to process all of this. Can you... can you give me that?"
Joshua nodded, his expression a mixture of hope and resignation. "Of course. Take all the time you need. Just... please don't give up on us, Y/N. I love you. I'll do whatever it takes to make this right."
As you left his room, you felt a strange mixture of emotions. Relief at finally knowing the truth, pain at the realization of how much hurt your relationship had caused, and a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, you and Joshua could find a way through this.
But even as you tried to sort through your feelings, you knew that the hardest part was yet to come. The campus was still buzzing with gossip, and you were still at the center of it all. How could you and Joshua ever move forward when the whole world seemed determined to tear you apart?
The next day, as you walked to class, you could feel the weight of stares on you. But something had changed. Maybe it was the conversation with Joshua, or maybe it was just that you'd reached your breaking point, but suddenly, you were tired of being the victim.
You straightened your shoulders, held your head high, and met the stares head-on. You were not the villain in this story, and you were done letting others make you feel like one.
In your Literature class, you found yourself sitting next to a girl named Soo-yun, someone you'd never really talked to before. To your surprise, she turned to you with a small smile.
"Hey," she said softly. "I just wanted to say... I think it's really brave, how you're handling all of this. I can't imagine how hard it must be."
Her words caught you off guard, and for a moment, you didn't know how to respond. "I... thank you," you finally managed. "It means a lot to hear that."
Soo-yun nodded. "I know we don't really know each other, but if you ever need someone to talk to, or just to sit with at lunch so you're not alone, I'm here."
You felt a lump form in your throat, touched by this unexpected kindness. "I might take you up on that," you said, offering a genuine smile for what felt like the first time in weeks.
As the days passed, you found small pockets of support like this. Not everyone believed the rumors, and those who took the time to get to know you often found that the reality was far different from the gossip.
But even as things began to improve slightly on campus, you still struggled with your feelings for Joshua. You missed him desperately, but the hurt and betrayal still stung. You found yourself replaying your conversations, analyzing every interaction, trying to separate the truth from the lies.
One afternoon, as you sat in the campus coffee shop, lost in thought, a familiar voice broke through your reverie.
"Is this seat taken?"
You looked up to see Joshua standing there, two cups of coffee in hand, his expression a mixture of hope and uncertainty.
For a moment, you hesitated. But then you gestured to the empty chair across from you. "It's all yours."
Joshua sat down, sliding one of the coffees towards you. "I got your usual," he said softly. "I hope that's okay."
You nodded, wrapping your hands around the warm cup. "Thanks."
For a while, neither of you spoke, the silence stretching between you like a chasm. Finally, Joshua took a deep breath.
"Y/N, I've been doing a lot of thinking," he began. "About us, about everything that's happened. And I realized something. I've been so focused on trying to escape my past, on being the person I thought you wanted me to be, that I lost sight of who I really am."
You looked at him, surprised by the intensity in his voice. "What do you mean?"
Joshua ran a hand through his hair, a gesture you'd come to recognize as a sign of his nervousness. "I mean that I've been trying so hard to be perfect for you that I forgot that it was my imperfections, my past, all of it, that made me who I am. And who I am is someone who loves you, completely and utterly. Not because you're perfect, but because you're you."
You felt your heart skip a beat at his words, but you forced yourself to stay calm. "Joshua, I appreciate what you're saying, but-"
He held up a hand, cutting you off gently. "Please, let me finish. I know I messed up. I know I hurt you, and Yunha, and probably a lot of other people along the way. But I'm done running from my mistakes. I want to own them, learn from them, and hopefully, if you'll let me, make things right."
You studied his face, searching for any sign of insincerity. But all you saw was raw, honest emotion.
"What are you saying, Joshua?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
He reached across the table, his hand hovering near yours, not quite touching. "I'm saying that I love you, Y/N. All of you. And I want you to know all of me. The good, the bad, the parts I'm proud of and the parts I'm not. If you'll give me another chance, I promise to be completely honest with you, always."
You felt tears pricking at your eyes, overwhelmed by the sincerity in his voice. Slowly, you reached out, closing the distance between your hands.
"I can't promise it'll be easy," you said softly. "There's a lot of trust to rebuild."
Joshua nodded, his eyes never leaving yours. "I know. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes. For as long as it takes."
As you sat there, your hands intertwined, you felt a glimmer of hope. The road ahead wouldn't be easy, but maybe, just maybe, you and Joshua could find your way back to each other.
In the weeks that followed, you and Joshua took small, tentative steps towards rebuilding your relationship. You started with coffee dates, just like in the beginning, relearning each other and having the honest conversations you should have had from the start.
Joshua opened up about his past, sharing stories about his relationship with Yunha, his struggles with self-doubt, and his fears about the future. You, in turn, shared your own insecurities and the pain you'd experienced during the podcast fallout.
It wasn't always easy. There were moments of tension, of old hurts resurfacing. But there were also moments of laughter, of rediscovering the connection that had drawn you together in the first place.
Slowly but surely, the storm began to pass. People found new gossip to occupy themselves with, and the hateful comments began to taper off. You never heard directly from Yunha, but the original podcast was taken down, and you liked to think that maybe, just maybe, she had found her own path to healing.
A year after the podcast incident, you and Joshua sat on the roof of your dorm, watching the sunset. Your hands were intertwined, your head resting on his shoulder. The campus sprawled out below you, peaceful in the fading light.
"Do you ever regret it?" you asked softly, breaking the comfortable silence. "Getting involved with me, going through all of that?"
Joshua was quiet for a moment, then turned to look at you, his eyes filled with a love so deep it took your breath away.
"Never," he said firmly, squeezing your hand. "What we went through... it was hard, yeah. But it made us stronger. It showed me that what we have is real, that it can withstand anything."
You nodded, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at his words. "I feel the same way," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. "We've come so far, haven't we?"
Joshua smiled, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "We have. And we still have so far to go. But Y/N, I want you to know that I'm in this for the long haul. Whatever comes our way, we'll face it together."
You snuggled closer to him, feeling safe and loved in a way you'd never experienced before. "I like the sound of that," you murmured. "Together."
As you sat there, watching the last rays of sunlight paint the sky in vibrant hues, you reflected on the journey that had brought you to this moment. The pain, the growth, the love that had weathered the storm and come out stronger on the other side.
You might not have a ring on your finger, might not have all the answers about what the future held. But you had something far more valuable â a love that had been tested by fire and emerged stronger for it. A love built on honesty, on acceptance of each other's flaws and imperfections.
The future stretched out before you, full of possibilities and challenges. But with Joshua by your side, you felt ready to take on whatever life might throw your way, one day at a time.Â
As the first stars began to twinkle in the darkening sky, Joshua began to hum softly, a melody you hadn't heard before. You closed your eyes, letting the gentle tune wash over you.
"Is that a new song?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper, not wanting to break the spell of the moment.
Joshua nodded, a shy smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, I've been working on it for a while now. It's... well, it's about us. About everything we've been through."
Your heart swelled with emotion. "Can I hear it? The whole thing, I mean."
He hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, but remember it's still a work in progress."
Clearing his throat, Joshua began to sing softly, his voice carrying on the gentle evening breeze.
As the last note faded away, you found yourself wiping tears from your eyes. The raw emotion in Joshua's voice, the honesty of the lyrics â it was overwhelming in the best possible way.
"Joshua," you breathed, "that was beautiful. I can't believe you wrote that for us."
He ducked his head, a blush creeping across his cheeks. "I wanted to capture everything we've been through, everything we mean to each other. I know it's not perfect-"
You cut him off with a kiss, pouring all your love and gratitude into it. When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless.
"It's perfect because it's us," you said softly. "Thank you for sharing it with me."
Joshua pulled you closer, and you settled back against him, both of you content to watch as the sky darkened and more stars appeared.
"You know," Joshua said after a while, his voice thoughtful, "a year ago, I never would have had the courage to share an unfinished song like that. I was so caught up in trying to be perfect, in hiding the messy parts of myself."
You nodded, understanding. "And now?"
He smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. "Now I know that it's okay to be a work in progress. That the people who truly love you will accept all of you, rough edges and all."
His words resonated deeply with you. Over the past year, you'd both learned so much about vulnerability, about the strength that comes from being truly seen and accepted.
"Speaking of works in progress," you said, sitting up to look at him, "have you given any more thought to what you want to do after graduation? It's coming up faster than we think."
Joshua's expression turned serious. "I have, actually. I've been thinking about it a lot lately."
You waited, giving him space to gather his thoughts.
"I want to pursue music," he said finally, his voice firm with resolve. "Not just as a hobby, but as a career. I know it won't be easy, and my parents probably won't be thrilled, but... it's what I love. It's who I am."
Pride swelled in your chest. You knew how much courage it took for Joshua to choose this path, to prioritize his passion over the safer, more conventional career his parents had always envisioned for him.
"I'm so proud of you," you said, squeezing his hand. "And I'll be right there supporting you every step of the way."
Joshua's eyes shone with gratitude. "What about you? Have you decided on grad school?"
You nodded, excitement bubbling up inside you. "I got the acceptance letter yesterday. I was waiting for the right moment to tell you."
"Y/N, that's amazing!" Joshua exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug. "I knew you could do it. You're going to be an incredible psychologist."
As you hugged him back, you felt a sense of rightness settle over you. This was what love was supposed to be â supporting each other's dreams, celebrating each other's successes.
"You know," you said as you pulled back, "we should probably start thinking about where we're going to live after graduation. With you pursuing music and me starting grad school, we might need to look into getting an apartment together."
The words were out before you fully realized the weight of what you were suggesting. Living together was a big step, one you hadn't really discussed before.
Joshua's eyes widened slightly, but then a slow smile spread across his face. "Are you asking me to move in with you, Y/N?"
You felt a blush creeping up your neck, but you held his gaze. "I guess I am. What do you think?"
He pretended to consider it for a moment, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm, let me think. Waking up next to you every morning, making breakfast together, having a space that's truly ours... Yeah, I think I could get on board with that."
You laughed, swatting his arm playfully. "Is that a yes, then?"
Joshua's expression softened, becoming serious again. "It's absolutely a yes. I love you, Y/N, and nothing would make me happier than building a life with you."
As you sealed the decision with a kiss, you felt a sense of excitement for the future bubbling up inside you. You knew there would be challenges ahead â the stress of grad school, the uncertainty of Joshua's music career, the everyday trials of living together for the first time. But you also knew that together, you could handle anything life threw your way.
The next few months were a whirlwind of activity. Between finishing up your final semester, apartment hunting, and preparing for the next chapter of your lives, you and Joshua barely had a moment to breathe. But through it all, your relationship continued to grow stronger.
You found a small apartment not far from campus, cozy and full of character. The day you moved in, surrounded by boxes and the chaos of merging two lives into one space, you couldn't stop smiling. This was the beginning of something new, something uniquely yours and Joshua's.
As you unpacked, you came across a familiar box â the one where you'd stored all the mementos from your relationship. Concert tickets, dried flowers, handwritten notes. But there was something new tucked inside, something you didn't recognize.
"Joshua?" you called out, holding up a small, beautifully bound notebook. "What's this?"
He came into the room, a soft smile playing on his lips when he saw what you were holding. "Ah, I was wondering when you'd find that. It's for you â well, for us, really."
You opened the notebook, your breath catching as you realized what it was. On the first page, in Joshua's neat handwriting, were the words: "Our Story: Past, Present, and Future."
"I thought we could use it to write down our memories, our dreams for the future," Joshua explained, coming to sit beside you. "And maybe, someday, we can look back on it and see how far we've come."
Tears pricked at your eyes as you flipped through the pages. Some were already filled â recollections of your first date, the lyrics to the song Joshua had written for you, little sketches of moments you'd shared. But most of the pages were blank, waiting to be filled with the story of your life together.
"Joshua, this is..." you trailed off, overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the gift.
He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close. "I know we've been through a lot, and there were times when I was afraid to confront the past. But now, I want to embrace all of it â the good and the bad. Because it all led us here, to this moment."
You leaned into him, feeling a profound sense of peace. "I love you," you said simply, because in that moment, those three words encompassed everything you felt.
"I love you too," Joshua replied, pressing a kiss to your temple. "Now, what do you say we write our first entry as official roommates?"
Laughing, you grabbed a pen and snuggled closer to Joshua. As you began to write, describing the chaos and joy of move-in day, you felt a sense of excitement for all the blank pages ahead â pages waiting to be filled with your shared story.
The coming years would bring their own challenges and triumphs. There would be late nights of studying for you and long hours in the recording studio for Joshua. There would be arguments over dirty dishes and whose turn it was to do laundry. There would be moments of doubt, of wondering if you were on the right path.
But there would also be quiet mornings spent cuddling in bed, lazy Sundays exploring your new neighborhood, and the thrill of celebrating each other's achievements. There would be the day Joshua landed his first real gig, and the night you aced your first major presentation in grad school. There would be family dinners, game nights with friends, and impromptu dance parties in your tiny living room.
Through it all, that notebook would be there, slowly filling with the story of your life together. A tangible reminder of the love you'd built, the challenges you'd overcome, and the future you were creating together.
As you closed the notebook that first night in your new apartment, you looked at Joshua and saw your whole world reflected in his eyes. You didn't know exactly what the future held, but you knew one thing for certain â whatever came your way, you'd face it together, writing your story one day at a time.
After all, your love wasn't just skin deep. It was woven into the very fabric of who you were, a bond that had been tested and strengthened by every challenge you'd faced. It was the skin you were in, the air you breathed, the truth you believed in.
And as you fell asleep that night, wrapped in each other's arms in your new home, you knew that this was just the beginning of your forever. A forever that you would define together, day by day, moment by moment, love by love.

He knows (Chan ver.)
Lee Know ver. | Changbin ver. | Hyunjin ver.
Masterlist
Synopsis: Chan is your husband and he knows you want to start a family, but how does he know? And what happens when he tells you he knows? This. This is what happens.
Type: Fluff đ§ž, SFW đ
Warnings: Mentions of pregnancy
Word count: 1140
AN: this is my first piece of writing for anything K-pop-related on this site, please be kind! No proofreading, sorry!
You are married to this man. He defines himself by his job. He lived for it though, after working so hard to get to where he is he also enjoys it so much. So you canât complain. But he does have one more thing he wants on his instagram bio. So far he is producer, singer, rapper and dancer. As of a year ago he is also husband. He knows the time is right. He knows you donât want to pressure him but whenever youâre together he can sense the unspoken words flying around in the air between the two of you.
Oh yes, Chan knows. He knows how to read people, and you are top of the list of his favorite ones. He will read you like a book. He will understand even the things you donât say, he will know the second you are ready. He will, however, wait for the right moment. Sometime when he knows he will have the energy, the free time and the emotional availability to do it.
He owes you his full attention if you are doing this together.
And once he seizes the opportunity he is going in for the kill. He proposes it in a serious tone. If it asnât just the two of you, it would seem you were having a âfamily meetingâ. He is straightforward about it.
âWe should have a kid, Y/N. I think itâs time, Iâm ready and youâre ready.â
And the words get caught in your throat because what the hell? You were incredibly ready. He knew this, you knew this. Your friends probably knew this.
From the way you cooed at any and every child under 5 whenever you spotted one, how little kids gravitated toward you at the park or at the movies and you always had a kind smile to offer them along with the helping hand finding their parents, to the way you seemed to constantly be handed strangers' babies at the grocery store or at airport lines.
It was no news. You always loved kids and after getting married and moving to your own home, you made it a point to have a guest room and an empty room. Chan had noticed. Why leave a room completely empty? âJust in case we need it somedayâ you had shrugged when he asked. But it was painfully obvious a few months into the move that you visited that room and stared at the empty walls with bright shiny eyes, with a smile that tugged at the corners of your lips in a way so subtle it was almost imperceptible, you always left the room with a sigh and a bowed head as if ashamed to have the plans you had for that room. Chan had witnessed it enough times to have you figured out. It brought a warmth to his heart, seeing how eager you were about the subject and yet you kept quiet because you didn't want to put any pressure on him, thinking he already had a lot to deal with as the leader of a very successful group.
So of course, the second he said those words you couldnât help yourself. âOh I was waiting for you to be ready!â
Chan lets out a joyful laugh, his eyes become tiny as his cheeks grow puffy with the glee in his reaction.
âI know!â He exhales, âbut you didnât say anything and Iâm tired of it. When you want something -anything, please just tell me!â His expression softened "I'll always have time to listen to you, and there's nothing you can ask of me that I wouldn't give you."
He is leaning on the kitchen table while youâre sitting opposite him. You push yourself back on your chair and look at him with a side smile on your face, the rice cooker making its beeping sound to signal dinner is ready.
âHow am I supposed to drop that one on you?!â You laugh as well, itâs clear you are not really arguing âAm I supposed to say âhey Chan, I want a babyâ or what?â
âWell⊠yeah.â He scratches at his neck, âthatâs okay, itâs a good way to start talking about it.â
You huff and look away, but ultimately you are pretty happy he brought it up. He knows this as well; there is no hiding your enthusiasm, you're practically buzzing.
âI do want to have a baby, Chanâ you lean forward on the table, your elbows on the hard surface while you hide your smile behind your hands.
Chan sighs, stilling his laughter as he pulls the chair back to take a seat and stare at you. He poses his arms and hands the same as yours, mirroring your actions.
âI want that tooâ, he mumbles, shy but true.
âCan we have that?â You wonder, your eyes falling on his hands, soft yet strong.
Chan has held you many times, and supported you through different times. You know he can be a perfect constant to hold on to, but you wonder if his career can take this. If he can be there for you for this. Because if you are honest, your biggest fear is that he will put too much pressure on himself if he tries to be a leader and a good partner to a pregnant wife at the same time. You have always known him to be the kind of guy to step up without anyone asking him to. You have learned from him to be the same, to grow stronger for Chan to have someone to support him as well...but this time you have to be realistic, how much can you share the weight of things once you are also worried about the safety of a baby? How much stress can you take from him while getting ready to have a kid.
He drops his hands on the table, you have moved your gaze from his eyes to his hands to the table. You are doubtful, you are pulling away from him as you speak.
âWe can.â He assures you, reaching out to pull your hands in his. âWe can do this.â
Chan brings you back with his words, his tone is honest and bright. His eyes are full of joy and excitement.
You feel the warmth of his skin on your skin and look up with hope, your trust in him is so complete you nod, you donât even think about it as you reply. You would die for your husband. You would take all the pain, all the responsibility, and hardships for him. And so would he for you. This is why doubting what you two can accomplish together is ridiculous, you shake your head from all those doubts and squeeze his hands between your own.
âLetâs do this.â You whisper.

He was back to ignoring you again.
But this time, the feeling was mutual. Youâd never felt as thoroughly rejected as you did the night he had you walk back to your room, legs weak, wrapped in nothing but his shirt.
Once upon a time, this scenario would have been one you dreamed of, but reality often falls flat on its face. You wouldnât have dreamt of walking away from him like this if youâd known it would feel this empty.
Humiliation ran rampant through your body, starting with the tears you blinked away as you left his room, closing the door behind you, and then flooding over as you stepped into your own room, slumping on the bed, curling up into yourself and weeping, pressing your still aching legs together but too upset to finish yourself off.
You kicked yourself for getting carried away, for getting too loud, too possessive with his face between your thighs and your hand in his hair. For getting so caught up in the moment, briefly forgetting your games, and for believing even for a second that you would be on the same page.
This push and pull had begun to wear you thin, and you were tired. So, you slept. Until nearly midday the next morning, when Lucille knocked on your door to remind you it was time for your monthly PR debrief.
The good news, though arguable at this point, was that your arrangement hadnât been affected by recent events. At least, not on paper. Cordelia ran you through each gala, public appearance, and dinner, barely noticing your preoccupation, rambling on about speeches, coordinating outfits, dates and times of events, what to say and how to say it.
For you - and you could only imagine, Coriolanus too - everything had changed over the span of a month.Â
Your shame made you abnormally quiet, head hung low, gaze averted, nodding along as Cordelia prompted either a response or approval from you. Snow just stared, glancing at her only when completely necessary, but otherwise, he didnât take his eyes off you.
He was enjoying this. The sick fuck. You were glad when the meeting ended and you could scamper into the library, eager to lose yourself in a story of any kind other than the one you were living.
This went on. By day, you barely looked at him; by night, you tried over and over to prove that your own fingers were enough to keep you satisfied. To convince yourself that you just wanted him, you didnât need him.
Because if you needed him, then he called the shots. He would win. And victorious as he may seem, the game wasnât over yet. Youâd slipped up in a moment of vulnerability, heâd tricked you into a corner just to prove his point.
You wanted him, you didnât need him. But if you did⊠well.
He was going to have to need you more.
You held back this time. Keeping your cards safe, close to your chest. In a strange way, you found a kind of solace in your arrangement. Recent events had caused it to feel unstable, breakable even, but the meeting had ensured that it was all still on the right track. It allowed you to take a small piece of what you wanted from him without guilt or repercussions. After all, it was planned out to benefit you both. Then, when you were ready, and with a gentle hand, you began to weaponise it, loading it up in the barrel of a gun aimed directly at Snow.
You didn't have much left, but you had this. You knew where your promiscuity had led you. This time, you wanted to pull on his heart strings. Make him feel remorse, or whatever similar emotion he was capable of. Make him soften to you. Torture him with almosts that were never enough.
So when you took, you took cautiously, tentatively. You deepened your usually light kisses to what was just past socially acceptable, only to pull back when Snow began to lean in, turning away and smiling at the people surrounding you, or full-on entering into conversation with somebody else. You'd brush your thumb against his when you held hands, waiting for him to look at you, drawing your hand away when he did. You'd offer smiles to everyone but him, talk and laugh a little louder when you could feel him watching.
You pretended he didnât exist. You could feel him begin to simmer. It wasn't as brazen as your usual game, but it was working.
Until it wasnât.
âSomethingâs wrong, what is it?â
Lucilleâs face dropped, her shaking hands lowering from the zip she was struggling with. You were getting ready for a luncheon, and youâd picked out an emerald green dress, one of your favorites for daytime events.
âIâd hoped you wouldnât notice, maâam. I apologise. Itâs my brother, he⊠itâs getting worse again.â
âSit down for a second. Talk to me. Whatâs going on?â
You listened to Lucille open up uncomfortably, visibly nervous that you would offer your financial support as youâd done before. But you didnât, sparing her from having to turn you down.
Lucille was stubborn - she would never accept your charity. She was more than happy to work for her wages, and frequently worked longer hours. As months went by, youâd brought her pay up as high as you could without her noticing. But now things were getting more critical, and you knew there was only one thing you could do.
âWhy donât you take the rest of the day off? Go and see your brother.â
âBut youâre not dressed-â
âIâll take care of it. Go home, Lucille. Iâll see you tomorrow, okay?â
She smiled softly.
âThank you, maâam.â
Youâd tried with the zip, you really had. You didnât want to have to knock on Snowâs office door with two favors to ask instead of one, but the dress was tight and the zip kept getting jammed. So, there you stood, dress half undone at the back, heart in your throat. You counted your blessings; at least it wasnât his bedroom. You didnât think you could face him at all in there. You heard typing from inside.
âCome in.â
You pushed the door open, feeling like an intruder.
âSorry, I just⊠Could you help me with this?â Your hand tightened behind your back, holding the dress together.
He narrowed his eyes. He was already in his suit, typewriter on the desk in front of him.
âLucille forget how to do her job?â
âI donât need snide right now. Please, Coriolanus? Iâll explain when Iâm not half naked. Itâs drafty in here.â
You tried to make it clear in your tone that this wasnât some ploy. You werenât sure you had many of those left to offer.
âFine.â He sighed, and stood, making no motion towards you, so you crossed the room, gripping onto the fabric, turning your back to him.
His hand came to rest on your waist as the other took the zipper, and you tried not to flinch at his touch. You pressed your lips together as he carefully zipped you up, cold metal sending a chill down your spine. Or maybe that was just him. You felt your eyes slide shut and your lips part as his hand lingered on your waist. You couldnât hear anything but your heartbeat and the tick of his grandfather clock.
âIs that okay? Not too tight?â His breath on your neck gave you goosebumps, you hoped desperately that he wouldnât notice.
âNo, itâs perfect. Thank you.â
The second his hand fell from your waist, you missed it. You carefully met his eye; he was looking at you like you had something he wanted.
So why hadnât he wanted you? Youâd been right there, and heâd turned you down.
He cleared his throat.
âI should finish this letter before we leave. Was there anything else?â
You paused.
âActually, there is. Could I ask you a favor?â You glanced off to the side, suddenly very interested in the knots of wood on his desk. What helped was that you'd never seen inside this room before, and you hid behind your curiosity like it was a lifeline.
âWhat is it?â
âItâsâŠâ you lowered your voice, âitâs about Lucille. Her brother, actually. Heâs in the hospital again. The family canât afford the medical bills to keep him in for as long as he needs. Iâd like to foot the bill, but I canât do it anonymously. I thought⊠well, I was wondering if you could pull a few strings.â
You were overexplaining, something you werenât at all used to doing, but these days, just being in the same room as him made you nervous. You stared at his desk, at the lack of photographs on it, the single pen laying to the side, the smoothness of the glaze.
It was quiet for a moment.
âConsider it done.â
You looked up.
âReally?â
âDid you think Iâd say no?â He asked.
âI- no, butâŠâ
âItâs something that matters to you.â
You blinked, dumbfounded at how simply he put it.
âYes. It is. Thank you, Coriolanus.â
âDonât mention it. Iâll make sure itâs anonymous.â
âThank you. Or, I meanâŠâ
He looked at you, and you wanted to melt. Wanted to throw strategy out the window, god, but -
You couldnât. It hadnât worked last time. Youâd hoped to avoid a stalemate, but here you were, sat right in the middle of one.
âThe carâs coming in a half hour. Are you almost ready?â He asked.
âYes. Almost.â
The luncheon was going well, at first. You were at the head of a large table, sat beside Snow, straightening your salad fork as he stood up to make a speech. Youâd been glancing at him throughout the afternoon; it wasnât so hard to anymore. It felt like his willingness to help Lucille without question, just because it was what you wanted, had more of an effect on you in five minutes than the entire week of your teasing had on him. One conversation, and the tides had changed.
As he began talking, you started to realise that your gentler approach may have been affecting you more than it had him. The party was transfixed; people loved to hear him talk, and you were proud. He had a certain way with words; you knew better than anyone. Youâd fallen victim to them.
You werenât sure why his words affected you â youâd been there, youâd agreed when Cordelia had suggested he say something nice about you in this particular speech, really make the crowd swoon, lay it on thick - but when he started to talk about you, about how proud he was to have you by his side, how strong you were-
You knew he was just reciting a script written for him, but you couldnât help it. The tears began to quietly fall. You thanked whatever higher being was listening for not letting anyone notice.
Or so you thought.
It was just typical that out of all the people that couldâve noticed, the one person who knew better was the only one who did.
The rest of them wouldâve brushed it off as you simply being moved by emotion, honored by his kind words. You blinked away your tears, taking small, polite sips of your wine. It was painful because you knew it wasnât true. None of it was, you knew he could never say those words and mean them.
And he knew that too.
It was dark when you got home, and you trailed behind him awkwardly on your way upstairs.
âCan I have a word?â his voice was gentle, and it set you on edge.
âSure.â
You stood awkwardly in the hallway, then he led you into the office. He leaned against his desk, and you shifted your feet where you stood, eyes on the floor, on the art on the walls, on anything other than him.
âYou were upset today.â He started.
You swallowed.
âIt wonât happen again, I promise.â you kept your voice steady. He paused.
âIf that was my fault, I apologise. If I took it too far, if I upset you-â
You werenât sure which part he was talking about, but you finally looked at him in a sort of distant defiance.
âDo you even care if Iâm upset?â
âOf course I do. Especially when itâs something that affects you⊠publicly.â
You huffed, forcing yourself to stare him down.
âBecause thatâs all that matters, right? What the public sees?â
âThatâs not what I meant.â
âSure it is. Itâs okay, Snow. Iâm a big girl. And I can take a hint, too. So donât worry about me, Iâll be just fine. Business as usual, right?â
He just stared, puzzled. You took a breath.
âLook, itâs been a long day. Can I go, or are you going to keep me here all night?â
The silence was like smoke, clouding between you. His brow furrowed, calculating. Then he sighed, long and heavy, and you tried not to let it phase you.
âFine. Go.â
You nodded.
âGoodnight.â
Youâd never been more relieved to get away from him. Your broken walls were starting to build back up. You wouldnât let him break you, you couldnât. You were stronger than this.
That night, for the first time, you couldnât help but wonder if this was truly what you wanted.
âDarling, you look ravishing.â Lilian drawled. âItâs a pity Snow is so far across the room, and canât appreciate you. If I dressed half as nicely as you did, perhaps my dear husband wouldnât be screwing the maid.â
A scandalised chorus of giggles erupted from the group. It was a pretty dress, one of your best. Long and smooth black fabric, ruched at the waist, with a deep cut up the leg that was just acceptable for an evening gala. You stood tall, champagne glass in hand, gossiping with your friends.
Well.
Friends was being generous. You kept few true friends, and they would hardly be gossiping in a circle like this.
Acquaintances was a better fit. Pawns if you were being brutally honest. Politiciansâ wives, senatorsâ mistresses, a chancellorâs daughter or two. Pieces of chess, really, in this bigger game. Anyone who could help you climb higher, whisper carefully spun words into open ears at your whim.
âI just know George would rip that dress off me the moment I got home. He might not even be able to wait, and just pull me into a closet here instead.â
Another eruption of giggles.
âWell, Iâm flattered, my darlings.â You smiled. âThis is one of my favorites. Coriolanus treats me well.â
âIâm sure he does,â a suggestive glance from Lilian, âin all the ways one would expect, I assume?â
You gasped in mock modesty.
âLilian,â you drawled, âI certainly hope youâre not suggesting I disclose our-â
âOh, just tell us dear, please. Weâre all dying to know. Youâre always so coy about it. Whatâs he like?â
You pulled your lips into a knowing smile, your perfectly painted face helping you slide into this facade. You scanned your eyes across the ballroom, across to Snow. He stood talking to a group of men, colleagues of his. You recognised their faces.
It had been four days since the luncheon. Four days since your outburst. Four days of hiding away. Youâd been dreading tonightâs gala, but it gave you an excuse to dress nicely, and as soon as youâd arrived, you and Coriolanus has gone your separate ways.
âWell,â you hummed, masking your uncertainty as anticipation, âhe can be a slight tease.â
A few dramatic gasps sounded through the group, and you turned back to face them, their eyes wide and expectant.
âSalacious. Do tell.â Another voice piped up with a giggle.
âHe can be fun to toy with. I do enjoy pushing back, but sometimes he takes it⊠a little far.â You said carefully.
âMy, who would have known? But you get what you want, my dear, surely.â Lilian asked.
You smiled, glancing back at him, suit pristine with a white rose in his breast pocket. You hated how good he looked. He was smiling politely at the group of men around him, but you could tell from the tick in his jaw that something was bothering him.
âSometimes, I do. Others, I wait for my chance to push his buttons right back.â
âOh, but whereâs the fun in that? I donât suppose,â she pressed, âthat youâre in one of those⊠entanglements at the moment?â
âLilian, darling, you know I donât kiss and tell.â
âIâll take that as a yes.â Another giggle sounded from the group.
âOh, my.â Lilian repeated, glancing between the two of you. âI do hope youâve been making him suffer.â
âWell, Iâm playing a longer game this time, so Iâm afraid there hasnât been as much fun lately.â
Lilian sucked in a breath, like the perfect idea had just dawned on her.
âWell, I see no moment like the present. Youâre here, youâre dressed marvellously, I propose you walk right over there and show him just what heâs missing.â
A chorus of yes and do it and weâll cheer you ons rang out. Loosened by the champagne, you looked across the room at him again. You could do it. He wouldnât be able to react, it would be the most perfect torture. You suddenly decided that you were done making small moves, done playing it safe like this was some schoolgirl crush. It was time to step up to the mark again. Take your power back.
Your group could sense the newfound determination in you. You smiled, slow and cunning.
Show him what heâs missing.
Simple. Itâs what you did best.
âWatch and learn, ladies.â
A hush fell over the group as they watched you run a hand through your hair, handed your glass to one of them, and pressed your lips together. Before youâd left the house youâd added a swipe of red lipstick, dark red, almost bloodlike. It always made you feel more confident and tonight, you needed the pick me up. Â
The middle of the ballroom was practically empty; the dancing was over, and everyone had long since gathered in groups to the sides. So you turned heads when you stepped out, the only one on the floor, black satin hugging your frame like a second skin. You didnât look at them, you made a steady beeline to Snow. You felt more and more eyes on you as you crossed the room, heels clicking on the floor. They all watched, waiting for⊠something. Coriolanus didnât look up until you were a mere few steps away, now deep in some conversation he was going to forget very shortly.
Blue eyes flashed to yours with a confused apprehension, but you didnât give yourself time to think about the twitch of his brow, or the looks on the faces of his colleagues. You didnât think about the way he opened his mouth as if to say something, only for it to be swallowed away.
You didnât think about any of that.
Because your lips were on his.
Hot and hungry, teeth clashing, your hand grabbing the back of his neck as he leaned in, surprised at first, then warm, wanting. Lips tugging at yours like he was starving.
It was sinful.
Youâd never been kissed like this before. Your fuzzy brain wondered how youâd gone through life not knowing what this felt like, the press of his lips devouring yours, heated and messy.
He kissed you like breathing, like you were his oxygen supply. His hand slid to your waist and pulled you in, and you heard the echoes of chuckling coming from around you, morphing into a few light claps.
Then, just as you felt him fully melt into you, your hand slipped higher to the nape of his neck, grabbing a fistful of perfect platinum curls, and tugged.
It was nothing but an affectionate display to the people surrounding you, but a brazen reminder between the two of you. It was your way of showing you hadnât forgotten, that you wouldnât be made to feel ashamed, to cower in a corner while he got the better of you.
Not in this lifetime.
The second it happened, his breath hitched, and his hand tensed on your waist. You were the only one who caught it, getting high off the satisfaction, finally pulling away.
You werenât sure youâd ever seen a prettier sight; his blown-out eyes, his face stained with scarlet. Â
Howâs that for tasting your own medicine.
Watching him attempt to collect himself was sweeter still. Watching him reset his face into one of distant amusement. He let out a small laugh, glanced at the rest of the party.
âEverything alright, doll? Had a little much champagne, perhaps?â
His colleagues chuckled, but you didnât look their way. You stood your ground. Offered a sweet smile, but he could see your slyness.
âOh, Iâm swell. And I think Iâve had just enough, actually. Iâm gonna go freshen up.â
You turned on your heel and made your way through winding halls to the bathroom, riding an adrenaline high. You picked up a glass from a serverâs tray along the way â the champagne had dried out, all they were serving now was posca, which while disgusting, worked a treat to take the edge off. It wasnât long before the door swung open and you saw Coriolanus appear behind you in the mirror.
âThis is the ladiesâ room, handsome.â You looked away, continuing to reapply your lipstick.
He stepped closer.
âWhat was that kiss about, sweetheart?â Straight to the point.
âNothing.â You shrugged.
âDidnât feel like nothing.â
âThatâs called acting, Snow.â Â You rolled your eyes, vaguely aware that your words sounded a little jumbled. You put the tube of lipstick away. âWe had an audience. A rather expectant one at that.â
He folded his arms.
âI donât like it when you catch me off guard like that. Not with people around.â
âSeemed to like it plenty to me.â You mumbled.
He didnât answer, pacing past you to the other sink, grabbing a towel and wiping it against his face, where the red had stained his skin. It only served to spread it around further, and if you werenât already smugly entertained by the marks youâd left on him, now it was just plain funny.
He glared at you when you laughed.
âDonât give me that look. Here,â you offered, stepping across to him, taking the towel and wetting it, âlet me.â
You wiped at a patch, but he snatched the towel back and took over.
âNo, youâre rubbing it too hard. Itâs-â he glowered at you â âfine. Do it your way.â
You went back to lean against your sink and took another sip of posca, admiring the ornate decorations in the room. A little excessive, a little new money for your tastes.
There was a rap on the door.
âPresident Snow?â
âJust a minute.â He said coolly.
âYouâre in a mood tonight.â You remarked, and he huffed.
âRunning a country can get exhausting. Donât expect you to understand.â
âRight.â You said flatly. âBecause Iâm just a brainless pawn like everybody else.â
He looked over at you, at the drink in your hand.
âHow many of those have you had?â
You shrugged again, and he tossed the towel into the sink, walking over to you.
âAnswer me.â His voice was stern, and for a second, you soaked it in, drenched in the danger as he approached, closing in. Your tongue slipped out to wet your lips, and your eyes followed his as he moved to stand in front of you.
âShame you donât have someone to let all that frustration out on, isnât it? Sounds like that could be helpful.â
His eyes pierced yours.
âDoll-â
âIâm just saying, itâs a pity you donât.â You moved to bring the glass to your lips, anticipating the burn in your throat, but he gently stopped your hand.
âOkay, thatâs enough.â
âPosca? Itâs my first glass.â You smiled, eyes batting.
âYou know what I mean. I think you should stop.â
You looked at the glass, then back at him, and pried your hand away, slowly and pointedly taking another sip.
âSweetheart.â He warned.
âWhat, are you punish me? Gonna make me beg for you then kick me out again? Already did that once.â
He gave an incredulous half-laugh.
âThatâs what this is about? Youâre not really going to be mad about that forever, are you?â
âThat depends. How long is forever?â
The door knocked again, and he worked the glass out of your hand.
âDrink some water. Sober up. Weâll talk about this when we get home.â
You sighed, heading for the door, but glanced back at him, his face still a stained mess. You brushed a finger against your own cheek to mirror his.
âYou missed a spot.â
You sat in silence in his office, feeling a little like a schoolchild caught misbehaving. His typing was the only sound in the room. The seat was low; almost as if it was there to point out his authority over anyone who sat in it. Knowing him, it probably was.
Heâd managed to clean off the rest of your lipstick, but his face looked rubbed raw, uncomfortable. A tall glass of water sat on the desk in front of you.
âThought you said weâd talk.â
âNot until you finish that glass. Iâm not talking to you inebriated.â
âSeriously?â
He shot you a look from behind his typewriter.
âFine. Whatever.â You reached for it and took a few sips. He looked back down again. A few folders cluttered the desk, and in your boredom, your eyes scanned them. They looked complicated; legal.
âWhat are you writing there anyway? Or am I too dumb to understand?â
He offered another unimpressed glance. Â
âItâs a new bill Iâm trying to pass. Except apparently, Iâm the only one around here with their head screwed on enough to work on it.â
You waited as Snow pushed the typewriterâs lever, carriage sliding the page as he began writing the next line. You sipped your water.
He sighed. âOne day I wonât have to mingle with these idiots anymore. Theyâll just listen to me, and obey.â
You took that in.
âDo you feel that way about me?â
He studied you for a second, and stopped typing. Â
âNo. Not really.â
âBut you wish Iâd be more⊠compliant.â You stared at the floor.
âNot necessarily.â
âYou sure? Didnât seem to like it the other night.â
His eyes narrowed. Knowing this conversation was a game of chess like any other. But lately the stakes were higher than ever.
âNever said I didnât like it. Just that you were out of line.â
âAnd where is that fucking line?â You snapped. âIâm serious, Snow, because weâve never talked about it.â
âYou want to talk, all of a sudden? Okay, sweetheart. Fire away.â
You put the glass down on the table, heavier than intended.
âI just donât understand you, Coriolanus. I mean, first you donât want me, then you do want me, then you donât again. And now what? I donât know what Iâm supposed to think when you donât give me anything to go off.â
He watched you carefully, and you wanted to shake him, to scream, anything that would give you answers. You stood, unable to sit still, and started pacing.
âYou know whatâs worse? I donât even know if you want me here anymore. I donât know how to act around you because I never know what youâre thinking. At first I thought all this, the whole push and pull, was just some control thing. But-â you laughed, airy and insane, âyou know what I realised? Youâve had me fooled, Snow. All this time I thought we were equals, but now I think I finally realise.â
He frowned, waiting for you to continue.
âYou pay for my company, if you think about it. We trade services, donât we? You get something from me, I get something back. I live in your house, eat your food, wear nice clothes. At the end of the day, thatâs just it, isnât it?â
âWhat?â
You shrugged, tears filling your eyes as bitterness took over, so strong you could almost taste it. Â
âIâm no better than a whore myself.â
Youâd never heard a louder silence. If that hadnât just taken everything out of you, youâd have begged him to say something. Instead, you just stared, eyes blurry with tears, as he seconds seemed to stretch into minutes, and you gave up trying to read his mind, because his expression was indecipherable. Â
After what felt like hours, he took a long breath.
âSit down.â
You glanced at the floor, then took a step towards your chair. He stopped you.
âNot there. Here.â He nodded at the desk in front of him, and you swallowed thickly, stepping around the desk, getting awfully close to him, and pulling yourself onto the desk, legs pressed together. He stood, looking down at you.Â
âThatâs really what you think of yourself?â He asked, voice steady and controlled.
You kept your eyes averted.
âAm I wrong?â
He lifted a hand and brushed his fingertips against your jaw, tipping your head up to look at him. And when you looked at his eyes, you knew exactly what he was feeling. He wasnât hurt, or upset.
He was mad.
âTell me something. What do you think Iâd do if I heard someone talking about you that way?
âI donât-â
âIâd have them executed. And you expect me to stand by and let you talk about yourself like that?â
You felt a tear spill down your cheek.
âI donât know, Coriolanus, you tell me. Am I disposable to you?â
âOf course not."
âBut youâd replace me if I left.â
âWhat makes you think Iâd let you leave in the first place?â
A chill caressed your spine.
âThatâs right. Iâm keeping you here, doll. If I made you doubt that, I apologise. But youâre no whore. Though sometimes, IâŠâ He trailed off.
âWhat?â
His eyes were on your lips again, hungry. You wondered how someone could switch from distant to depraved and wanting this quickly.
âSometimes I wish you were. Because itâd make it a lot easier for me to take what I want. If you were, then Iâd have no hesitation in ripping your clothes off right here. Fucking you on my desk, or up against the wall, not caring if you cum. Not caring if you enjoy it. If you were a whore, Iâd have fucked you in every room in this house, twice over. I wouldnât let you sleep.â
His hand was on your thigh, the now-creased fabric of your dress crumpling as it slid up. You werenât sure when your eyes had fallen shut, your hot breath mixing with his as his thumb rubbed against your skin.
Your voice was pathetically quiet.
âThen why donât you?â
He sighed, tone shifting into something tense, something you could cut through with a knife.
âBecause youâre fucking impossible, you know that? I can barely think when youâre around. I donât know where the games begin or end. I donât⊠I donât understand this power you have over me. I thought you knew, you must know that youâre under my skin. I donât know if youâll ever stop playing with me. It drives me fucking insane.â
You opened your eyes, hand gripping his wrist and pulling it from your thigh. You slid off the desk and took a step away from him.
âYou think Iâm playing with you? The only time you pay an ounce of attention to me is when youâre trying to fuck with my head, Snow. I said my piece, you heard me and you still didnât care. So please, for both our sakes, stop torturing me. Just⊠come find me when you decide you want me again, okay? Letâs leave it at that.â
You made for the door, which you slammed with such an impressive force that it even took you aback.
You replayed his words in your head that night until you fell into a deep sleep, and when you woke, you felt like your dreams made more sense than he did.
âTigris!â you exclaimed, catapulting into the blondeâs arms. The people who stood scattered around you in the manorâs large ballroom spun their heads around at your display. A few even dodged to the side as the momentum that youâd built running down the stairs nearly knocked her over.
A few days of silent glances and fewer exchanged words had passed. And now, you were just happy to be hosting in the comfort of your own home, and to finally see Tigris again. You wondered if she noticed how you hugged her, if she wondered - like you did - if youâd ever let go.
âIâm so happy youâre here. Howâs your Grandmaâam?â
âSheâs quite well, sheâs sorry she couldnât make it. You look beautiful as ever. Itâs been too long!â
âI know! I donât think Iâve seen you since your birthday, which makes me the worst friend ever.â You groaned, scrunching up your face in shame.
âItâs okay! I know busy Coriolanus keeps you with all these functions. You must be going out of your mind by now. How are you holding up?â
The two of you walked to the edge of the room, where prying eyes had settled down after your greeting.
You looked at Snow, stood across the ballroom, dressed in a pristine suit with a champagne glass in hand, talking to yet another group of men who worked for him â ministers and such, a little higher ranking than the group from the other night â and spared you the occasional glance. As if he was keeping tabs on you. It wasnât long before Tigris caught on and politely inquired.
âI donât understand him, Tigris. I think he hates me.â You sighed.
âWhat? No, he could never. He has a soft spot for you, really, and I have it on good authority.â
âIâm not so sure anymore. I think Iâve pushed it a little far this time. I think⊠maybe we both did. Iâm in uncharted waters, here.â
âLook, I know I donât know all the ins and outs of how this thing between you works, but I donât think he could ever hate you for doing anything. Coryo â I mean, Coriolanus, he does care, contrary to popular belief. Itâs just that his way of showing it can get a littleâŠâ
âFucked?â You offered, and she laughed.
âYes, exactly. Now, Iâm not going to lie to you and say that heâs an angel on earth, heâs had to do things to get to where he is now. Things that even I donât know the extent of, and theyâve⊠changed him.â
You rarely got the chance to speak with Tigris alone these days, with Snow usually playing chaperone, or keeping one or the both of you busy, but it had always been easy to slide right back into conversation with her like youâd never been apart.
Youâd first met Tigris at a Plinth gala years ago, on the same day youâd met Snow. The two of you had talked and laughed and she had an easiness around her, she wasnât shallow and judgemental like a lot of the girls youâd grown up with, though you never knew why until many months later. Snow had placed a large wall between his life before the Plinth endorsement, and after. Few people knew the conditions heâd grown up in, but after countless hours with Tigris, youâd begun to assemble small pieces. Despite your closeness with her, you knew from her warnings that Snow had a sort of temper when it came to this topic, so you approached it with caution.
âChanged him how?â You inquired, finally.
âWell⊠It wasnât always fancy balls and lunches with him. It never was, with any of us, as you know, but especially for him. Heâs⊠had a different experience. Grandmaâam and I, weâve known hard times, but we havenât seen what heâs seen. Not even close.â
âWhat kind of things?â
She glanced over her shoulder, making sure nobody was hovering.
âHeâd kill me for telling you.â
âYou know I wonât say a word. But you donât have to tell me, if itâs too much to ask.â
She took in a breath, and sipped her drink, voice dropping to a whisper.
âThis stays between us, okay? Coriolanus has⊠been out there. In the districts, I mean. Before all this. And I canât go into detail, heâd have my head if IâŠâ
You swallowed.
âThe districts? But⊠why? I donât-â
âTigris, lovely to see you, itâs been so long.â A male voice interrupted, and you quickly excused yourself, slipping away to let the two of them talk.
After mulling it over in your head and making small talk with a few more guests, you snuck out of a side door and into the hallways, winding upstairs until you were finally met with Snowâs bedroom door. The sound of voices and music a mere echo below you, you pushed tentatively, and stepped inside. It was strange, being in there alone, for the first time since heâd turned you away. But you paced the floor, looking for something, anything, that would answer the questions you had. Why the districts? Why couldnât Tigris tell you what had happened there?
Glancing back at the door, you began thumbing through his closet, peeking inside drawers. Youâd already given his room a once over, but you worked more meticulously this time, every corner you unsuccessfully turned over only fuelling your curiosity. You walked around the room again, getting frustrated.
You headed back to the door, scanning the place, and retraced your steps a third time. Knocking a little on cupboards and anything that appeared the slightest bit odd or out of place. It was a perpetually tidy room, neat as ever, save for the desk which contained folders you were sure werenât for your eyes, but that didnât stop you. You kept on, trying your best not to leave any stone unturned, and most importantly, trying not to move anything out of place.
Eventually, you moved to the smaller desk drawers again, rifling through them haphazardly, annoyed by the lack of evidence you were finding. One of the two drawers had very little inside it, just a pencil and a pocket dictionary, and as you pushed your hand further inside to feel for anything else, you noticed it felt smaller than the first. Shallower. When you knocked, it was hollow.
It had a false bottom.
Your father used to keep his cigars beneath one of these when you were growing up, so you knew what to look for. You felt around the edge until you touched a small, metal handle, then emptied the drawer, hooked your fingers into the handle and pulled. You frowned at first, there was less in the hidden compartment than there was above it. But you peered inside, and there lay two items: an old photograph, and a silver dog tag.
Suddenly, it all made sense. His efficiency, his drive, his orderliness.
Military. The districts. The dog tag.
You unfolded the photograph, caked in a layer of dust, and it hit you like a ton of rocks. Â
Coriolanus was a peacekeeper.
But why? When? And why keep it a secret?
In the photograph, his hair was buzzed, and he was in a uniform you recognised immediately; if only because of the annual reaping ceremony shown in every building in the Capitol. He was standing next to a boy with dark hair, also buzzed. You recognised him as Sejanus Plinth, youâd never met the kid but youâd been to his funeral with your family, and had seen enough pictures to know.
You knew that the Plinth family had backed Coriolanusâ education, that he became their new heir, a protĂ©gĂ© of sorts, but not that heâd been friends with their son. Not that theyâd been this close, at least. They werenât smiling in the photo, stood pin straight and alert in what looked like barracks. Â
You folded the photograph and placed it back where you found it. Your hands lingered on the dog tag, though, despite the logical side of your brain screaming at you to put it back, leave the room and pretend you didnât see this. But the louder part egged you on as you pulled it out of the drawer, examining the engraved words, running your hands over the name SNOW and, further down, DISTRICT 12.
Youâd heard bedtime stories from your mother while growing up, about the war, the Hunger Games and why they existed, and why it was never safe to set foot in the districts, not even the richer ones.
Theyâre beneath us, sheâd said. Theyâre dangerous. Barbaric. And 12 was notoriously the poorest, most dangerous of them all.
Coriolanus had now become more of an enigma to you than ever before, and a thousand new questions flooded your head.
You closed the drawer halfway, holding the chain, pulling out a chair in front of the mirror to sit down. You turned the tag over in your hands, as if it would start giving you the answers, if only you looked hard enough.
Why was he sent to 12? Why couldnât he talk about it?
Despite the conditions Snow grew up in, there was respect behind his family name. It didnât make sense why someone of his social standing and education would leave to be a peacekeeper, of all things, and in 12, of all places. A strange sort of pity filled you, wondering what he couldâve seen out there. What he couldâve done. It all drew you in as you got lost in a world of what ifs.
Despite yourself, you pushed your hair from your neck, and as if in a trance, wrapped the chain around it. It fell heavy and cold against your skin, sending a chill through your bones. You were so busy staring down at it, so lost in thought that you barely noticed the sound of the door pushing open. Or the floorboards lightly creaking. Or his reflection in the mirror. You didnât notice any of that, until the door swung shut with a bang.
âWhat the fuck do you think youâre doing?â
Coriolanus had had a long day, most of which heâd spent simmering over work and you. Heâd kept his eye on you that evening; on the way youâd thrown yourself into Tigrisâ arms, and talked, transfixed, and he hated not knowing what was being said. A strange feeling set in as he saw the two of you get deeper into conversation from the other side of the large room, a deep-seated uneasiness stirring him up as he drowned out the tales of his associatesâ incompetence. It felt like a breath of relief when he sent someone your way to interrupt whatever talk you were having, pretending that Tigris had been looking for him earlier. He focused on your brief tour of the room when the distraction worked, eyes flitting around like you were preoccupied.
When he saw you dart away from the ballroom and up one of the stairwells, he followed you as soon as he got the chance.
Heâd wondered if you might act up today, but this wasnât what he was expecting. When he saw you, the all too familiar glint of silver around your pretty neck, something shifted in him. Something heâd done a very, very good job of keeping at bay during his first few years of presidency.
Rage.
Your eyes met his in the mirror.
âCoriolanus, I-â
His hands were on you before you could finish your sentence, hauling you out of the chair, fingers wrapped in a death grip around your arms, squeezing as he pushed you to the wall with a satisfying thud.
âWhat, you can explain? I highly doubt that.â
âIâm sorry, I just-â You gasped as he squeezed tighter, gripping your wrists.
âDo you even know what this means?â He seethed, dog tag pressed between his fingers, chain pulling at your neck.
The forest. The birds. The gunshots that deafened him for weeks.
âI didnât know⊠Iâm sorry. I never knew you were a peacekeeper, Coryo, I-â He flinched, saw the way you winced the second it passed your lips.
Snow may have been cold, but his eyes were fire. And you were only stoking it.
âSo Iâm Coryo now? Who the fuck told you call me that? Was it Tigris? I saw you talking to her, donât lie to me.â
âNo.â You shook your head. âShe didnât tell me anything, I promise. Please. It was just me.â
He moved in closer, eclipsing you altogether, grip on the chain so tight he was certain youâd be able to feel it pinching the back of your neck, digging a mark into your flesh. He let the sadistic part of his brain take delight in it, in the way your eyes widened, face pleading.
Whatever this game was between you, youâd gone too far this time.
âHow did you find this?â He snapped.
You were crowded against the wall, unable to move. Tears started to brim, and you didnât answer, he wasnât sure you could. You just shook your head over and over, repeating Iâm sorry like a broken record.
âTake this off. Now. Take it off.â He ordered, dropping it back to your chest, stepping away a little so you could lift your shaking arms over your head, removing the chain. He snatched it from you, gripping it in his palm, looking down at it, and you breathed out in relief.
âI didnât mean to⊠I was just looking. I had so many questions. I didnât know what Iâd find.â
âAnd? Are you fucking satisfied now?â His voice chilled you to the bone as he looked up at you again.
You shook your head. Apologised again. Wished you could apologise in any way that would matter, but it was too late. Youâd never been more afraid in your life, anticipating what might happen, remembering echoes of rumors youâd heard, of Snow poisoning his enemies, of sending them to hang. Some you knew to be true, but others you boiled down to rebel gossip.
Now, you werenât so sure. These were the eyes of a man whoâd dropped his mask, and it was like staring into a dark void. You could get lost in it, and never find your way back.
âPlease. Donât⊠I wonât tell anyone, I promise. You can trust me.â
He scoffed.
Stupid girl. Hadnât you learned by now, that trust meant nothing?
âLike I trusted you in here? I donât think so. Canât believe you had me feeling sorry for you. Probably just made it up so you could lower my guard then turn around and stick your nose where it doesnât belong.â
âI didnât, Coriolanus, I swear.â You pleaded. You were crying, tears slipping down your cheeks.
âIâve been very patient with you, little girl. But this is where I draw the line. You have no idea how far youâve pushed me. And you donât even realise it, youâre so caught up in your little crush. Do you know how easy Iâve been going on you? The things Iâve let you get away with⊠Iâve killed people for much less.â
âYouâveâŠâ You trailed off, barely hearing your own words, barely processing a thing. He laughed, low and dark.
âDoes that scare you, sweetheart? Does it make you afraid?â
Eyes frozen open, you just stared. You felt your jaw go slack.
âGood.â Â
Coriolanus toed an invisible line, one that had never been crossed before. You wanted him to show you he wanted you? Fine.
He looked down at the chain wrapped around his fist, but he didnât pocket it, or place it to the side. He unwound it, and slowly pulled it over his own neck.
Your eyes dropped to where it sat in stark contrast, heavy and shining, garish against his fancy dress shirt. You felt your blood run cold.
âGet on your knees.â You heard him say. Your eyes darted back up.
âWhat?â
When he spoke, it sounded like someone else was talking. Someone you didnât know at all.
âYou heard me. Get on your fucking knees. Right now.â
What could you do? This was what youâd wanted. Just⊠not like this. Not when your hands were shaking in fear, and you had no idea what this Coriolanus was capable of.
Your head said yes; your heart wept. But you were far past listening to your sorry heart.
So, you obeyed. Legs all but giving in as you lowered yourself to the ground, knees meeting cold hardwood as the chill cut through your dress.
His fingers slipped under one of the straps.
âTake this off, baby.â He murmured, distant, like he wasnât all there. Your head hung in shame, eyes on his feet as you pushed the straps from your shoulder, top half of the dress falling down. You heard his zipper slide down, and you shivered. No longer sure if it was in fear or anticipation.
âHead up. Look at me. Good,â he said, when you obliged, ânow letâs see what this pretty mouthâs really good for, shall we?â
More tears welled up as his hand brushed your jaw, hooking a thumb to your bottom lip, pushing your mouth open. You couldnât help the way your tongue grazed over it, tasting salt, whining when you realised it was the taste of your own tears. When your eyes fell open again, you finally caught a look at him, hard and tip weeping, and your brain filled with nothing but want, eclipsing your fear for a mere second, enough to bring Coriolanus to the ground again. He may have done terrible, unspeakable things, but he was still a man. A man who wanted you.
And why did that make your heart beat out of your chest? It thrummed like a hummingbird as you took in the sight of him, unbuttoning his shirt as he waited for you to move.
Youâd seen how big he was from a distance. Youâd felt him between layers of fabric, and youâd imagined this a million times over. But now, as he stood waiting in front of you, you hesitated, because it all finally felt real. Your mouth watered despite yourself, seeing the mess heâd already made, any more and heâd start dripping -
âGo on, sweetheart. Itâs not gonna suck itself.â
Your eyes squeezed shut as you let him past your lips. The heady taste of precum filled your mouth as you ran your tongue along the shaft slowly, trying to start steady. He wasnât having it. His hand twisted through your hair, pulling you in closer, making you gag a little. You instinctively lifted a hand up to his thigh to brace yourself, and he laughed.
âGiving up so soon? Thought youâd try harder than that.â
He pushed further, and the indignant sound you made as you adjusted only served to spur him on.
You tried to focus on breathing through it, but he slipped in and out your mouth unevenly, and faster than you could think, catching you off guard. He looked down at the way your mouth struggled to take his length as if you were a piece of art, like he was mesmerised by it, and that feeling was encouragement was enough to keep you going. His hand twisted harder in your hair, making a fist, and he swore when you hummed in discomfort.
âLook at you.â He said, strung-out and shaky. âYou strut right in here from your silver spoon life, and think you can call the shots? Youâve bitten off more than you can chew, sweetheart. You have no fucking idea what the world is really like. What people are like. What they have to do to survive.â
He moved faster, and you let your jaw go slack. You were barely moving now, he was starting to fuck your throat like he owned it. Youâd started to cry again, and when you looked up at him, it was a blur. The furthest you could see was his chest, shirt unbuttoned and falling to the sides, and the dog tag, silver catching in the low light, swinging against his chest as he moved. You closed your eyes again, trying to go somewhere else in your head. Trying to breathe through your nose, to focus on being used, on how good you were making him feel, on finally being his. It was all you had left to hold on to.
But he was unwinding you with his words, knowing just where to press to make it sting, to make the tears fall harder.
âYou donât have any fucking shame about it either. Touching yourself on my bed and wearing my clothes, like youâre â fuck, thatâs it - like weâre married or something. Like youâre worth more than everyone else. But look at you. Maybe you were right after all. Maybe you are my whore.â he gritted out.
Tears streamed down your cheeks as you tried desperately to catch your breath between sobs. Â
âI mean, you sure look like it now, on your knees for me, making a mess of your pretty face. So fucking good. Youâre sucking me off better than she did, and youâre barely even trying.â
You hated it. Hated the way his thumb brushed painfully gently against your cheek, dusting away a tear as his cock bruised the back of your throat and you tried not to gag around him. Hated the way his words twisted around in your head, and how fucked up it was that your broken brain took it as praise instead of punishment.
Most of all, you hated the throb between your shaking legs, panties soaked through and probably ruined. Humiliation seeped through you as you imagined it dripping down your legs and onto the floor. Your salty tears spilled down your face, mixing with your spit and his precum. Hating every second, until your head went blank, and you didnât feel much of anything anymore.
You werenât sure exactly how it happened.
One second, he was pulling your hair, twitching in your mouth and spilling down your throat, and the next, in what felt like a flash, you were on the floor, loud, wrecked sobs spilling out of you as you held your knees to your chest, face hidden. He was on the floor too - when did he get down? - and his voice was soft, oh so soft and gentle, saying something you couldnât quite make out, dull and repetitive past your ringing ears.
â- so sorry. Iâm so sorry, baby. I know I - I didnât⊠I took it too far. Can you hear me, sweetheart? Look at me. Please, look at me. Iâm right here.â
You pulled your head from your hands, and through blurred eyes, you looked at him.
This wasnât a face youâd seen on him before. His brows knitted, lips apart as he stared at you, like you were some wounded animal he wanted to save.
âTalk to me, sweetheart. Please.â
âI canâtâŠâ You trailed off.
âYou can tell me.â
Another wave of choked back sobs took over you. He held your jaw up like you were something breakable. Like maybe youâd broken already, and he was holding you together.
âI canât do this.â You whispered. âNot like-â
He nodded, brushing a tear from your cheek.
âOkay. Itâs okay, baby. Tell me what I can do for you. Just say the word.â
You caught your breath, and he flinched a little as you collapsed into his arms. The cool metal of the dog tag pressed into your cheek.
âI donât know. Iâm sorry.â You cried.
âIâm the one whoâs sorry. I didnât realise how far Iâd pushed you until⊠I know I canât make it up to you, but Iâll try. Whatever you need me to do, Iâll do it. If you want to leave, I understand. Iâll make the arrangements.â
âWhat? No, thatâs notâŠâ
He cut you off, looking into your eyes.
âDecide tomorrow, okay doll? You donât have to think about that now.â
âI didnât know about⊠about the districts.â You hiccupped. âAbout you. You didnât want me to know. I ruined everything, I-â
âListen to me. It doesnât matter anymore, I promise you. Itâs okay, baby.â
You nodded into his chest.
âHere.â He leaned away from you, and you looked up in a question. He took the chain from his neck and placed it in your palm.
âYou can have it. So long as nobody sees. You can throw it away, wear it around the house, whatever you want. Itâs yours.â
You pressed it between your fingers. It cooled your hot skin like a salve.
âThank you.â You whispered. Your head sank back onto his chest, and when you spoke again, it was barely audible.
âCoryo?â
He tensed for a second, but relaxed again just as quickly.
âYeah?â
âCan I stay with you tonight?â
His hand brushed gently against your hair, and you relaxed into it.
âOf course you can.â

Cuddle headcannons of malleus and idia please đđ
âł cuddlebug (malleus draconia/idia shroud x gn!reader; separate)
cw: kinda short cause still on writer's block, characters might be ooc, overall fluff
a/n: my freshmen year in pharmacy school has ended like weeks ago (yayy!! and had really good grades ngll) and had lots of time to write sum fics for you guys ^^
malleus draconia đ
i feel like malleus himself would be the first one to initiate into cuddling you just because he's curious on how warm you were comparing to him. bro's really curious since in his culture and heritage, mothers would initially cuddle their egg/babies and giving them with love. malleus, however was deprived with this opportunity since his mother is barely present when he hatched from his egg.
at first, your boyfriend is slightly nervous when asking you this question since the two of you are dating for at least 5 months. you just looked at him and said, "why are you asking this question? you know I'm really comfortable with you cuddling me. im just waiting for you to cuddle with me." as you extended your arms in front of him.
malleus just went đ„ș and đ„° as he picked you from the floor and proceeded to lay the both of you into his bed, making you shocked from the sudden action but quickly relaxed as soon as you felt his head being placed on the crook of your neck. malleus loves it when your hands are caressing his face as he stared at you with adoration and hearts in his eyes and tends to kiss your hand while your hand are being cupped to his cheek.
most of the time, he's the big spoon in terms of cuddling but if he's the one having a really bad day, he's the one laying on your chest being the little spoon. malleus would also love the cradle position and the half spoon since he loves holding you on his arms.
idia shroud đ
you're going to be the one who would proposed the idea on the subject of cuddling with him because this guy, won't be the one to initiate cuddling cause he would die of shame asking you to cuddle so good luck with him (even tho i loved him sm).
even though idia loves you (like a ton), he's gonna wait for you to ask him if you would like to cuddle with him. bro's not the type to make the move first aside from asking you out (thanks to ortho's reassurance that you liked him back)
he's also not used into physical touch so you better be patient with him, it may start with his head on your shoulder and escalated into hugging you from behind as you lay down on his bed. idia would love it if one of your leg in placed on his thigh when he plays something on his computer/console.
idia's concern regarding cuddling you is his hair but you quickly reassured him that you loved his hair so much on how comfortably warm it is in his air-conditioned room. he would whine if you are not touching his hair if the both of you are cuddling together (only you and ortho since he is really uncomfortable on others touching him, including his long hair).
probably he dreams on having you on his lap when he plays a game or just relaxing with you while talking about his interests and kisses your face while holding you (he's quite shy on kissing your lips yet hehe)
