Hehe I'd like to read about it 👀, tho tbh I prefer them as friends, having deep talks & supporting each other, especially because it is a dynamic that isn't very common for harem shows (also him not having romantic feelings for her wouldn't have changed anything of their tragic story because the major factor was the emperor's paranoia and his sadism). Still, I obviously would like for Ruyi to be in love with anyone that's not the emperor and Ling Yunche is like the perfect man™️ so I'm supporting every ship that separates her from H*ngli.
