on one hand it is a bummer that moderneopets registration's been shut down completely for the time being, I wanted to give that a shot

but on the other hand neopet clones by and large are all also just sort of riddled with their own problems and I suspect the recent artist issue with them (& the amount of people involved who stepped down from moderation / staff-adjacent work) is why they shut down registration windows completely until further notice.

#not fr #hate how neopet clones are notoriously hard to get into #and are also commonly just riddled with real rough stuff like racism and intolerances #but that doesn't necessarily mean I wanna go back to actual neopets that place has it's own issues #Even if the staff there is trying to clean up the mess of the previous managers it's like #yeah no Flight rising has spoiled me too much for neopets I like the idea of having many virtual creatures #that and also apparently the clothing system they have on neopets is super janky and doesn't allow for layering like FR #(though I was always historically too broke as a kid to get neopets clothing when that came out; never realized it was a problem)#the moment a petsite captures what Neopets had for me along with Flight rising's QOL I will inevitably just go to that site
