Christmas was on its way and everyone was getting ready. The witches and warlocks on The Academy of Unseen Arts were excited. The dark lord wasn’t necessarily a fan of this Holiday, but we celebrated differently than the mortals. Our school was hosting a concert for all the parents. We were all practicing a carol for everyone. My girlfriend Agatha was very excited since she loved singing. It was very cute to see her so excited. We were currently hanging out in the common room alone and Agatha was practicing her singing. 

“Babe, you’re an amazing singer you don’t need to practice.” I said to her once again and she smiled at me. 

“But I want to be perfect for the concert! I want Father Blackwell to be proud.” She said. Her and her sisters were always trying to please him, but he only really ever seemed to see Prudence. I was honestly just happy I got her alone, it was hard to get her away from her sisters. 

“Alright Aggie.” I said with a laugh and a small shake of my head. 

“Are you excited to sing to your family too?” She asked sitting next to me on the couch. 

“I’m excited to introduce you to them.” I answered wrapping an arm around her. 

“Do you think they’ll like me?” She asked playing with her fingers. 

“Of course, what’s not to love about you?” I said and she smiled at me. 

“Well, maybe we should practice singing together!” She said getting up and pulling me with her. 

“Fine, but we’re not straining too much, we have to actually be able to sing when the day comes.” I said with a laugh. 

“Deal!” She said and we started practicing. 

The day was finally here and all the students were backstage getting ready. I walked around trying to find Agatha. I had found Dorcas and Prudence but no Agatha. 

“Hey girls, where’s Aggie?” I asked. 

“She’s just outside, she said she wasn’t feeling too good.” Prudence answered sadly. 

“We were just about to check on her.” Dorcas added. 

“I’ll go check on her.” I said and left. I walked outside and found her panicking. 

“Aggie? Baby?” I asked walking over to her. She looked up at me and I saw tears in her eyes and her breathing was rapied. 

“Hey, calm down baby, everythings okay.” I said pulling her into my chest. 

“Just relax okay? Listen to the beat of my heart and breath with it okay?” I asked and she nodded. After about five minutes or maybe a little more she was relaxed enough to speak. 

“I’m sorry…” She said quietly and I pulled her back. I wiped the few tears she had away and smiled at her. 

“It’s okay baby, what happened?” I asked. 

“I can’t do this…” She answered in a whisper. 

“Do what?” I asked confused. 

“The concert! I can’t do this!” She said starting to freak out again. 

“Shhh, it’s okay baby just relax.” I said and she took some deep breaths. 

“You can do this Aggie, you’ve been practicing for weeks! You’ll do amazing!” I said trying to convince her. 

“I can’t, I’m not good enough.” She said and I shook my head. 

“You’re more than good enough baby.” I said and kissed her head. 

“I’ll be up on stage with you, right next to you, so if you need to you can grab my hand and squeeze it okay?” I said and she gave me a small smile. 

“That’s what I like to see.” I said and pecked her lips. 

“Now, ready to sing?” I asked and she nodded grabbing my hand. 

“Let’s go!” I said and we made our way inside. After a few minutes we were introduced to the stage. The music started and everyone started humming to the melody. 

“Hark! The fallen angels sing “Bless’d to not be following. God had forced us to obey and throw our reasoned thoughts away!”” The girls started the song. 

“If the price of heaven’s keep is consciousness, then that’s not cheap! Why be bound to such great heights when Earth is full of rich delights? Why be bound to such great heights when Earth is full of rich delights?” Us guys chimed in. 

“Here on Earth we don’t need laws oppressing us without just cause.” The girls sang and Agatha grabbed my hand. 

“Cherish all the lights we bring since God spat on our offering! He gave us a nasty toss but that’s our gain and Heaven’s loss! With angelic voices blaze: We’ve fallen to Earth but not from grace. With angelic voices blaze: We’ve fallen to Earth but not from grace.” We all sang and I stole a glance at Agatha. She was smiling and she was definitely more relaxed. 

“We pity those who still want in a prison with a jealous king. Thing of all the hours lost serving a sadistic boss. “Any God who’d punish me when I politely disagree doesn’t care for truth at all!” That’s the fallen angel’s call. God doesn’t care for truth at all. That’s the fallen angel’s call.” We finished and everyone clapped. 

We sang a few more songs then it was over. We all walked backstage and everyone was so happy with the performance. Agatha hugged me tightly and smiled when we pulled away. 

“Thank you Y/N.” she said grabbing my hand. 

“Anything for you Aggie.” I smiled back and kissed her. 

“Ready to meet my parents?” I asked. She nodded with a smile. I took her back out to where all the parents from the coven were mingling. 

“Mother, Father, I’d like to introduce you to someone very special to me.” I said when we reached them. They looked at us with a smile.

“This is Agatha, my girlfriend.” I said. 

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Y/N speaks so highly of you.” Agatha said and they smiled. 

“You as well, thank the dark lord he found someone so beautiful.” My father said. 

“You were both so lovely when you were up there.” My mother praised. 

“Thank you.” Agatha said to both of them. 

“Come, let’s get to know each other more.” My mother said and we followed them. 

“I think they like you already.” I whispered to her and she blushed. 

“I hope so.” She said and I kissed her cheek. 

“They do, trust me.” I said and we all sat down to talk.
