Mike is going to have major trust issues after this movie. Let's review.

His career counselor was a child serial killer under a different name, and was the same one who kidnapped and murdered his brother, Garrett. Who he's been dreaming of on repeat, probably for years, to solve the mystery of his kidnapping.

His little sister's babysitter was a woman hired by his aunt to dig up dirt on him and Abby so she can take custody of her. This isn't something he knows and seeing as the only survivor of that shaky alliance was a distressed lawyer... I don't think he ever will. But he'll probably still wonder why she was dead in there and why she even broke in anyways.

The cop assisting him, who became a tentative companion in the twisted reality he faced as a security guard of a serial killer's den, hid that she knew everything that was going to happen. Including his sister being her father's next victim. And was the daughter of said serial killer, which she only revealed when she finished patching him up. Which is just straight up betrayal. The only way she won back his trust, at least a little, was when she went up against her own father for his and Abby's sake. Her injury and presumably comatose state were a result of her defending them from Afton.

The animatronics are an interesting case because I think the only time he trusted them was when he pleaded for help from the kids. And this was only in his dreams. He never actually trusted the animatronics themselves, even after the connection was made they were one in the same. And he only trusted them around Abby because they made her happy and understood her better than he did but that ended in what could be best described as a misguided initiation ritual. After all, they were still under Afton's control, and they were already incredibly desensitized to the violence they enacted. They turn on Afton quickly upon learning the truth of their possessed state, and are last seen by the two dragging an agonized Afton away.

Anyways. Mike needs therapy.
