i really like that the conclusion to sitting in a tree is for gwen to go, "look, we might have seen our future selves get married, and we might like each other right now, but that doesn't mean we have to rush into anything. we can just be friends & take things as they come." i think its a very mature response, especially considering they live in different dimensions. like, yeah, it would be hard for them to be a couple with everything else they got going on

but i do think it's a little funny gwen's the one basically saying he can date other girls when miles has had at least, like, five other love interests, and all gwen has had is miles, and an extremely poor attempt to flirt with a coworker. its like she said she was fine with an open relationship but he's the only one inviting others in
