          “so you’re jace.” professor jace, actually. hard to not know who the guy was. everyone seemed to be fawning over him. the pretty boy, the hunk ( yes, such a term had been used ). and even though george was a mundane with some severe lack of knowledge of the goings-on of the shadow world, he knew of his reputation. not that it mattered to him, however. this scott didn’t pick his interactions depending on status or popularity. ( his current choice of living in the basement despite his name was more than an indication of that. ) “how are you liking the academy so far? have you tried the soup yet? you’ll just love it.”

     ❝ i just don’t understand the point of bringing mundanes in as shadowhunters. ❞ the words are accompanied by a shrug, her tone not meaning any OFFENCE to the subject of her comments. she didn’t believe the mundanes should have been treated the way they were being at the academy, nor did she dislike them in any way. rather, cynthia’s standpoint simply came from a LOGISTICAL standpoint; her people were simply built in a way that mundanes weren’t... how could she trust someone weaker than her to have her back in the field?

There haven’t been Shadowhunters for thousands of years.

Everything is as it should be. Mundane. The shadow world is something vastly unheard of; the stories of creatures who lurk in the dark and the night? They are simply stories. Demons do not exist and Nephilim haven’t been needed for centuries, and have since gone extinct. Life in Brooklyn is exactly what you would expect: college, lavish parties at the Institute, coffee at Java Jace and just normal, everyday life. Some may call it mundane, but it’s how it should be. Peaceful.

                                                       The legends aren’t true.

Rules:

You must be 18+ to join the verse. There will be NSFW material that isn’t suitable for anyone under this age. Any triggers will be tagged

Activity is key in any kind of roleplay. Try to interact with everyone and post at least once a week - a group verse will only be fun as long as everyone gets to interact with everyone.

No out of character drama will be tolerated. Ever. In character drama is encouraged, so long as it’s not brought outside of the roleplay. Any out of character drama will result in you being kicked from the verse. 

Any major plotlines must be fun by the admins first. We like to have an idea of what’s going on!

For the sake of making things fair, we will not be accepting any downworlder characters. Mundanes only, please. 

Duplicates won’t be accepted. But characters from all fandoms and original characters will be!

General rules still apply. No bubble roleplaying, no godmodding, etc.

Basics

This verse will be based on episode 1x10 of Shadowhunters: This World Inverted.

Everything in canon has not happened; this verse is set in the alternate reality that Clary entered.

The main setting of this roleplay is Brooklyn, NYC. Characters can be in college, working full time, unemployed, or a combination of these.

If your muse attends college elsewhere in NYC, they should be living in and around Brooklyn

All relationships are open and to set from the episode, unless the muns decide on it.

After the events of the Dark War  ,  the population of Shadowhunters had decreased drastically  ,  leaving the Shadowworld in need of repopulation of strong Demon Fighters  .  Simon Lewis  ,  memories  &  immortality stripped from him  ,  he had been recruited to go to the Shadowhunter Academy in Idris as a way to become a Shadowhunter  &  to possibly regain his memories  .  The Academy offers residence to Nephilium blood  &  Mundanes who wish to go through the Ascension  ,  in hopes of surviving the transition by the Mortal Cup  .  Of course it’s biased  ,  but even mundanes can find entertainment with those who hold angelic blood through their veins  .

BASICS  ;

The verse is loosely based around the book  ,  it starts immediately after the Dark War and Jocelyn  &  Lukes wedding  .  it is also named after a short story in the Shadowhunters Academy Book  !!

Jocelyn Fairchild will be alive in this verse due to this based off of a book instead of the show  .

All ships are open when you come into the verse  .  The only ship I will allow to be set is Malec at this point  .  

This will be a discord/tumblr verse  .  which means that we will have things happening in discord  &  things will have to happen on the dash too  !!

This is a hate free  &  open communication verse  !!  We will not tolerate hate  &  the admins are open to communication with problems within the verse  .

We will be capping the verse at 14-16 people  &  you muse be 18+ in order to join due to nsfw content such as sexual matters  &  possible other nsfw content  .

     lips turned into a surprised smile  ,  cheeks a faint tinge of red as the taller male speaks to her  ,  features showing the obvious strain to hide the smile but the inability is too strong  .  cerulean hues meet mocha  ,  teeth chewing softly on her lower lip as fingers brush a strand of hair from her face  .  she had been training  ,  her hair a bit untidy  ,  sweat beading her forehead  &  she knew that she had looked slightly disorganized  ,  but she also knew that his words were honest  .

clary fray ; art student.

   Clary grew up knowing that she wanted to be an artist from a very young age. She was always drawing, always coloring. She grew up with her also artistic mother and she never knew her father. She continues to live with her mother in their apartment near the school while she gets her degree. 

   Her drawings often consist of things involving fantasy. She’s begun working on her own comic that she hopes, with the help of her future degree, to one day publish. 

   If she’s not drawing, at school or work (she works at a local cafe as a waitress for some extra cash and to help pay off her schooling), she’s probably hanging out with her best friend Simon. They’re often playing video games together or just hanging out with his bunch of friends.
