I know exactly what you mean about mixing the player’s name they mixed o’neill and ambrose and I was like? They’re not even the same height lol! Your comment about o’neill taking penalties is funny but it’s true

... KO has 4 points, is at a -9 and has accumulated SIXTEEN penalty minutes in 20 games. this is up from 8 in 23 games last year

and here's the thing. there are some mix ups that i understand. like there are times when i'm not sure if i'm seeing 42 or 43. or 28 or 29. but once you see them move, it becomes obvious who is playing. at the same time, i understand hockey moves very fast. this is also why we NEED the names at the top of the jerseys

#and for the record i know there are ways to positively impact the game that don't show up on the box score #and this is why i could watch basketball without my glasses and still tell you who is who just by how they move #which i think is actually super impressive to do as a viewer #but also it's so cool that everyone plays the game differently #granted basketball players wear a lot less gear than hockey players so already i'm at an advantage bc they have more defining features #but i would say for like half the team you could take away all their features and info from the jersey #make an animation and i could still pick out who is who #erin ambrose would be the easiest because she would be lying down in front of the net #that is a joke. mostly #erin ily
