#gotta be one of the most exceptionally boring tropes i've seen continuously pop up in stories in the last 10 years.

so, apparently the new trendy fad of the "tame and socially acceptable spicy narratives" is the Corporate Hunter Woman trope. A supposedly unapologetic, tireless social ladder climber that has not experienced an emotion in the past 67 years, "does not care for wallowing, especially over a man", and does not know how conscience is spelled; she will do anything to come at the top of the social food chain, no matter the cost.

And people seem to think this is some groundbreaking totally new totally revolutionary way of portraying female characters. *yawns* gotta admit, i almost admire people's dedication to their unimaginably shallow and superficial, limited way of understanding women, and in continuation of that, understanding female characters in stories. this level of undying loyalty to some nonexistent dichotomy of interchangeable tropes is kinda admirable, if it stays 48763842783 kilometres away from me. Fellas write their women wimpy and when they're not written as wimpy they're written like a corporate CEO. Y'all dont know what power looks like if it hits you over the head with a nursing home fully automated chair. And y'all think a powerful person, regardless of gender, will become a ladder climber at all costs 💀💀💀
