it's so funny to me that jonathan "archivist" sims and john "god" gaius are so similar - similar names, humans that turned into something more, eye motif, intense guilt that doesn't stop them from doing bad shit, caused the apocalypse - except for the fact that in his first appearence, john gaius is a sweet, gentle guy that approaches people with a pleasent attitude, and jonathan sims is first introduced as a skeptic that doesn't believe any of the stories people trust him with.

and john gaius is the objectively worse person.
