In continuation: Protean is insanely broken in general before The Nerfing but guess who picked Fennekin regardless despite Froakie having access to it in EXWY
#in my defense this fennekin is like. the spiritual successor to sunny my very first pokemon ever#hes got magic guard at least. and his nature isn't piss#hey also guess who beat viola with: a shroomish a braixen and a panpour. and guess who died 3+ times before doing that.#sadly i replaced Turnip the panpour with squirtle when i got the chance bc Wonder the Shroomish with poison heal was a permanent member#god my team is half good half 'it just works' over here. blastoise level 40 with water pulse. hey at least hes modest#but at what fucking cost. i havent even been able to replace bite yet#bitch mantis
