She has 10k years of immortality angst and pain and taking it out on him would make her feel better. If you have a canon full of fucked up, angry, scary hot women with cool death powers... and the objectively most powerful person in the cast is a guy who's kind of pathetic and deeply flawed in a very human way while also being an eldritch being.
