well hello rebs! it’s been a month since the concert and i’m finally here I’m sorry for disappearing but i got sick for two weeks (a little tmi that i shouldn’t be admitting on the internet but i couldn’t ask for a day off to go to the concert so i pretended to be sick and i got a doctor’s certificate for sick leave and i played the role so well that the doctor gave me 2 weeks 😭 and it was so great cause i went to santiago with my friend two days before the concert and we stayed for like 4 or 5 days in total so it was great, it was like a mini vacation i loved it!! but after i went back to my city my throat started to hurt and then i got sick for almost two weeks and then national independence holidays came which lasted for a week and then i had to go back to work and omg i had SO much shit to do and i think i’m finally adjusting 100% back again but it’s been kinda difficult cause my boss assigned me (and to the team actually) new tasks so i have even more work now….) but yeah now to my actual concert experience!!

- i gave freebies (i made 80? friendship bracelets but like with double strings and different designs 😭) so the night before me and my friend had to pack them + shower and do our skincare and etc… we ended up sleeping only (for less than) 2 hours

- at 17:00 we entered the actual venue and i got second row (i know it’s a really good position but i was hoping barricade again this time 😭☹️) but the girl in front of me smelled SO SO SO BAD. her armpits smell was so strong that at one point i was about to throw up and i even started questioning if i was the smelly one cause even when i turned around i could feel her smell super strong so that kinda ruined a little bit the concert for me and also she was super tall so she was also covering my vision at some points so yeah….

- and at 17:30 6dream came out and OMFGGGGG like haechan you will ALWAYS be MY man. he was the first one to come out and went directly to my side (thank god cause i’ve seen videos from other countries and at soundcheck he always stays at the other side) and not to be delusional but when he first came out i have a video of him looking at me hehehe

- sadly they spent almost the whole soundcheck at the extended stage so i didn’t see them up close that much but i remember 2 parts the most: them talking about chile and how much they enjoyed the food the wine and the andes mountain range(? and when jeno came to our side like he was literally in front of us and everyone was filming him but haechan was on the extended stage looking at our side and i was the only one recording/looking at him it was such a y/n moment 😭

- then the soundcheck ended so i went to the bathroom and when i came back the general ticket holders? arrived and omfggg they were so wild and it was such a different experience from tds2. everyone was pushing and super close so i kinda started panicking and i started screaming that they should move a little bit to the back to give us more space cause i swear i was standing on my tippy toes cause there wasn’t any space left to stand. i couldn’t sit at any moment so between that + the smelly girl + my feet hurting i wasn’t feeling so well tbh…

- but FINALLY at 9 pm the concert started and all my problems disappeared but also the heat omg it was sooo bad i felt like i was sweating so much but thank god no one pushed me or anything

- they sang sooo good especially chenle like his voice is incredible and i had so much fun i screamed and laughed and danced and i just love them so much 😭😭😭😭

- and okay about the interactions i don’t think i had that many this time but the ones i’m sure i had are 2: mark looked at me a lot of times (i have pictures/videos) AND i had a sign telling haechan i had a gift for him (the shinchan as michael jackson keychain i bought last year for him) and he said 👍 (that i could throw it to him) but i wasn’t sure back then if he said it to me cause i had my phone the sign and since he was in front of us everyone was moving and screaming but the girl beside me told me HE TOTALLY LOOKED AT YOU AND TOLD YOU YES TO THROW IT but i got scared i might hit him so i waited until they went to the extended stage but i threw it with too much strength so it went too far back so he didn’t see it later 😭 but at least i got the keychain back so tds4 i guess???

- after the concert my feet hurt SO SO FUCKING MUCH like each step i took was so painful worst pain from a concert ever (i think it was worse than the one from the eras tour) and i was so tired i just wanted to sleep but i was also super happy

- i reunited with 4 more friends after the concert so i was even more happy !!!

- days later i sent my videos to one friend who wasn’t close to the stage and she asked me what are you and mark cause he totally looked at you so much (his bias is mark also) so yeahhh feeling totally normal about it 😁☝🏼

- not related to the actual concert but my friend (the one i went to the concert with) had a friend (who lives in santiago) and the day before we were supposed to go eat with her and more friends but she was waiting for us at the subway and when we arrived she only greeted my friend and completely ignored me (we were meeting for the first time) and then left. and it was really annoying and awkward and we saw her at the concert too and she did the same but i didn’t even try to acknowledge her presence then cause she was fucking rude and manipulative with my friend i really hated her a total bitch

and now about the members….. to be honest, i actually don’t remember much 😭 but

- mark had little braids on his hair (which i HATE and sadly i’ve seen him twice with braids he hates me sm) but his face is more long and his cheekbones and smile❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 he went to my side a lot and we’re actually dating now 😁

- jeno is still super skinny but his arms?????? so pale and also super sweet. he interacted a lot with our side and was always smiling and doing kyuu and sending kisses to us

- haechan omfg that man…. i just need ONE chance with him…. his lips are so plump, he has round eyes and a little nose and his cheekbones are so high he seriously is so much prettier in person the camera doesn’t do him justice i’m in love with him. but also i want to add (i don’t remember if i said this last time) but to be honest, at tds2 i want to think he was tired but he was more dry? and not that playful or cheerful as i was used to seeing him. he was more serious and didn’t interact much with the public (he picked up my gift but still, his attitude was different) but this time he was like the haechan i always see in videos from other concerts. we have a chant that is “mijito rico” which basically translates to “sexy guy/girl” and we ALWAYS sing it to every artist so this time wasn’t the exception and we sang it twice i think? and he danced to it both times and you could totally see how happy he was unlike the last concert that he looked kinda annoyed?? (idk 😭) so i was really happy and relieved to see that he actually enjoyed this time cause his attitude last year kinda bummed me a little (you could ask about this topic to any chilean fan and they would say the same, he really behaved very different last year). and please don’t misunderstand, i don’t want to sound ungrateful because i enjoyed tds2 very much but i wanted to point that out cause when i noticed that i tried to convince myself that i was wrong and ignore it but after this year’s concert i’m sure he acted different this time

- jaemin is just the sweetest human ever i just remember looking at him and he was always smiling 🫂 and for example i was looking at my videos of broken melodies and rains in heaven and he had the BIGGEST smile ever my cutie pie ❤️‍🩹 but i also had him in front of me in poison so yeah much to think about. and before the encore we did a chilean chant (it goes c h i CHI l e LE CHI CHI CHI LE LE LE VIVA CHILE) and he liked it so when he did his last ment he did it and it was so cute and funny. also his upper body is super big (boobs and arms).

- chenle !! i think everyone became a chenle stan. something in him shifted and he is so fine i mean he always has been but he has a different aura now. his voice is really good and stable and he is such a cat. he was the member who spent more time at my side i think and we made eye contact too cause he read my haechan sign hahah he smiled and interacted a lot (my friend is chenle biased)

- jisung, i will eat him. HE’S SO $-&;$2!2& soooo hot and so shy i want him. he didn’t go much to my side but he was always shy laughing and being super cute ❤️‍🩹 and he ofc dances well but he doesn’t look much taller than the other members tbh

and i think that’s basically all so to end things i came to three conclusions:

it was such a fun show and i really am the happiest at concerts but it couldn’t top tds2 for me at least. the tds2 will always be their best tour (at the moment) for 4 main reasons: we had 7dream, the setlist was their best so far cause they sang the best song in the world aka to my first (no one gets that song like ME), it was the first dream (solo) concert in chile and also the first time of haechan and 7dream here (😭😭😭😭), and i got first row but i also got noticed by haechan ❤️‍🩹

the haechan tunnel vision is craaaaazy i swear i tried to also focus on other members but i failed i couldn’t stop looking at him he’s really super captivating and i’m just a girl. the way he dances and moves through the stage he seriously is an amazing performer and singer. i’d do crazy things for him.

Hiii! I’m sorry if it took me so long to reply but I’ve been busy and I didn’t want to rush the reply. This was karma telling you to never pull this move again ajsojlks I can’t even say “well at least you didn’t work for almost a month” because you came back to do even more 😭 But hey you had a great time at least!

omg that’s so cute!!! I miss making friendship bracelets, I wanted to make some for a concert I was supposed to see but thank god I didn’t have time because the whole tour got cancelled so I would’ve wasted beads and time lmao (I still have so many beads for taylor, I hope that for the next tour we will keep doing this because I don’t know what to do with them lmao)

okay but second row is such a good position especially since you didn’t arrive super early. I feel you, for taylor I had to be there at 12:00 (before to get in line, but they opened at 14:00 when the concert started at 21 I wanted to die, I literally only survived because I started talking with two girls in line and then we became a small group). Noooo that’s one of my biggest nightmares, not you starting to question if it was you aodoss but lmao that’s what I fear the most in crowded spaces, it doesn’t matter how clean I am I always start thinking that the water didn’t do anything and the perfume just vanished and I smell like shit (also let’s be honest, it’s not so easy to know where the smell comes from so even if it’s not me I’m always afraid people might think it’s me 😭) tall people should be banned from the standing sessions I said what I said!!!

how does the soundcheck work? Did they try all the songs? Or was it mostly talking? I’m sorry if it’s stupid but I don’t know anything about this tour because I was/am so mad I couldn’t go I didn’t watch anything lmao. NOT YOU AND HAECHAN LOST IN YOUR OWN WORLD I LOVE YOUUUU

the only thing I will ever be jealous of the usa is the sitting floor because standing floor is HELL I don’t care I’m used to it, it’s just hell every time and people have no boundaries. When I saw taylor I sat almost all day but then people started getting up before paramore and if you sat down you felt like suffocating (it was summer, in milan where it’s humid af, the sun hit the stage until the speak now set lmaooo I was frying) like there are already two hours to wait WHY ARE YOU STANDING??? the same thing happened with 127, one person RIPPED the signed ball from my hand I was shocked, like… is it really that serious?

I have nothing to say really lmao. I’ve been busy because I took photos for an exhibition I will have in November and I’m super happy with how they came out. I was supposed to see one of my favorite singers yesterday but then she postponed the concert to November and then yesterday she cancelled the whole tour so I’m a bit sad about it cause I have been looking forward to it since February. And also since I was already seeing her I decided not to see another singer I like but I couldn’t even get tickets last minute for him because the last cities left were in these days and not close to where I live so I wouldn’t have time to organize a trip rip.

Hiii how are you ? I fell down the stairs today and cried for a minute straight #hormones. Dw I have a high pain tolerance but I just started sobbing lol. It happens. LONG post ahead, I kinda went off hehe.

Anyways let’s get started!! Yes quinton gets to be upfront because he would probably feel so uncomfortable(no offence) with all the sexual tension going on there if dyl or jamie were in the front hehe. But yes they would be bitchy about who gets to sit upfront “ no Jamie it’s mine turn to sit with Brigid” “ no it’s my turn dylan you just sat with her” so brigid would get fed up and banishes them to the back hehe. Lmao Brigid can we listen to Katy perry now? The silence!! And then no can we listen to Lady Gaga?. Quinton trying not to lose it in the front seat. If I had to chose tho I would chose lady gaga:) wbu?

Music wise, yes I love blasting music and people looking but it’s kinda a flex when they see who we are with.... I like rap too! What song do u like Brigid?. Country will be played and 2000’s which is fun! I’m good with anything !. Kesh I love hype up songs as well and bass heavy songs because they sound good on speakers hehe. I’ve been into Rihanna for the past week and I was working out to her music- where have you been, rude boy, bitch better have my money lol, pon de replay hit different but also S&M for some sexiness. Lmao sorry I’m just listing Rihanna songs that I love atm. What are your fav songs right now? Awww dancing on the side of the road is so soft, but everybody needs a dance break! Cozzy, Devon and Braden are some how still passed out, I admire that. Late night drives🥺 are we spicing this up 😏.

But remember that we are going to workout on this vacay hehe. After the grocery store we would go into the mall or something and the boys would just be wanting to buy video games 😂 and ps5’s. Also kesh I love how some of the boys are just trying on clothes. Why do I get a feeling that one of the boys would just be filming all of this?

The chirping will happen nonstop, I’m sorry it’s just to much inspo. Aww yes they are blushing real hard, cuz they like you soooo much. But Brigid is enjoying touching them so no prob.

The boat is a must and it is happening!! Hehe yes the tubing would be chaotic, everybody is just trying to get each other to fall in 😂. Ryan thinks that he’s getting away w pushing me in but SIKE you are coming with me. So then we’re just fighting in the water. Quinner would be like where did they go?. Hehe brigid gets so wrapped up in laughing at us that Braden pushes her in haha. Yes we all look super hot in our bikinis, and the boys are speechless! Like dyl and Jamie are just like wow, she looks so amazing! And Kirby is so in love w you, he’s like I’m the luckiest man ever. I’m still gonna make sure that I wear a non tie bikini so that it doesn’t untie, like one time I was in the boat and my friend pulled on the string and the entire thing untied and I just jumped in the water to retie. That is not happening again lol. Quinner would be mad hehe. Idk I’m seeing Brigid in a black bikini or maybe a dark blue one? It would match your eyes?. Kesh in a red one or yellow and me maybe in a green one or just black lol. Hehe yes kesh and Kirby are just doing cute couple stuff and keeping an eye out but we are to chaotic to maintain .

Hehe lol I could just be dancing w Brigid and the boys would get jealous and one of them would just come up and be like excuse may I cut in, and i would be like tf but then they give me a glare and I go dance sexy with Quinner or crazy w Ryan. Kesh and Kirby should dance at least at one point during this time. We all look hot btw :)

The boys are getting handsy esp Dylan and Jamie hehe. And they are super protective so no other guy at the club gets any ideas. After tho it’s biker shorts, sweat pants and hoodies type of vacay lol .

haha no, you get ready to get beat. i’m like an INSANE driver when i want to be. and ofc dylan is just yelling at me “faster brigid, hurry tf up! we have to beat everyone” so then we’re just zooming. but then obviously you’re doing your best to keep up so you have to banish ryan to the back so he doesn’t distract you. and then you let quinner sit up front until he starts getting too handsy bc you’re like no i won’t let myself get distracted. so then braden’s up front giving directions and trying to get you to go faster, but i’m still winning lol. and then kesh is also still in the race, and she and kirby are just chilling in the front bc everyone else’s asleep. ooooh yes making lots of pit stops bc nostalgia for all of you canadians. and then me and kesh are just seeing all the sights for the first time. oooooh yes all the cute insta pics we could take

ok yessss our music game is on point tbh. ok so for rap, the artists i’m really into rn are juice wrld (rip i actually loved him sm), kid laroi (who learned from juice, so he sounds a lot like him), trippie redd, mgk, and nf. also iann dior, but he’s not so much rap as r&b. honestly any of their songs slap. and then ofc country and early 2000′s. and any music with good bass, but i think a lot of the artists i said have that. ooooh yes getting out to have a dance party on the side of the road. hehe it could be really crazy. or alternatively, it could be when you’re out on a late night drive and there’s a slow song on the radio and you guys just get out and slow dance to the song together no this is not at all inspired by the song slow dance in a parking lot anyways yes late night drives are so cute. but then of course they can get spicy 😏 in case you couldn’t tell i’m always down for it to get spicy lmao

haha yes quinton and dylan c. honestly have their priorities straight. and devon and kesh are swamped with director duties, so that leaves kirby in charge. so then ofc when we get home kirbs tries to sweet talk kesh, but she’s just not having it. she’s just like how? anywaysssss at the store we have the most duo of ryan and lexi, plus now i’m added into the mix, and it’s just a mess. like we buy a shit ton of popcorn, pretzels, chips, candy, etc. and we literally bought half the store’s supply of everything lmao. and then dyl and jamie are just in the cereal aisle trying to grab as much cereal as they can. whichever one of them gets we chocolate mini wheats i will love forever. and then kirby’s getting healthy food bc yk he’s trying to be responsible. so then kesh has to explain that his whole job was to make sure everyone else was getting healthy food, not just get it himself lmao. but honestly none of the guys actually know what they’re doing lmao. and then we obviously have to get beaver tails to so lexi and quinner can have a moment, but idk where you get those lol. but yes we will be working out a ton on this vacay, so it’s ok that we have sm junk food lol. and then after we’re done with food, the guys decide to wander the mall and then they just buy a ton of video game and then they’re trying on clothes lol. and yes obvi they’re videoing the whole thing bc they’re secretly middle school girls who want to have a blog lmao

hehe yes me getting chirped the whole trip, esp the boat day. and the guys are getting so embarrassed about it, but i just don’t care lmao. and then the whole boat day is so chaotic obvi. when ryan pushes lexi in, quinner will come back and just be confusion lmao. like where’s lexi. and then i’m dying laughing and then braden sneaks over and pushes me in lol. but yes we all look amazing in our bikinis. like kirby is just so in love with kesh and thinks she looks gorgeous 😍 and then dyl and jamie are just like damn you look hot about me lol bc we’re horny ones on this trip apparently. and i’ll wear a tie-back jolyn bc they actually stay on lol. and then ofc quinner thinks lexi looks super good, but then she tells the story about the last time she wore a tie-back and he’s just like why didn’t you do it again? lmao. ooooh for bikinis i like a black top with a print on the bottoms idk why. and then you guys in whichever color you want. also yes kesh and kirby are trying to be responsible during this, but it’s just not working lol

yes yes yes, girl’s day would be so fun. and then we get a ton of cute new clothes so obvi we have to model them. and they’re all just in awe, like those are our girls. but then we also do private modeling shows 😏 and we all know how that ends. and then when we’re in our clubbing clothes obvi they are getting super protective over us bc we look so hot and we’re their girls, so no other guys can get ideas. but then once they’re drunk they’re handsy as hell lol. but then the rest of the vacay ends ups spent in hoodies, sweats, and athletic shorts lol. and obvi some of the guys’ clothes

Same writing anon as before! Tysm for the long post, it was really clarifying and good to read. It's started having some stuff make sense and revealed some stuff I need to rework. Do you have any advice on writing bare-bones like, general plot lines?

Hey! I’m so glad to hear that. 💙

I’m not 100% sure what you mean—advice on making your plot lines engaging, on figuring them out period, on how and when to structure them, on how to make them original, how to make them further the scenes you want to write instead of just be there as a support column for them, etc, so sorry if I misinterpret this question. I think I’m probably overthinking this, and you just mean “advice on how to come up with them/lay them out in the first place,” so that’s what I’ll answer. Sorry if that isn’t what you meant. TuT

So, writers all have different processes, but for most of us, it is very much not plotline first. Often you’ll get a great vague idea, or a scene you don’t know the total context for, or a character you like, or a finale, or a specific crisis, etc, and start there. Similarly when writing fanfic, a lot of the time you start with a very basic concept like “I want to see these people interact” or “I want this character to get to kill the person who destroyed their life” or “I want C character to get a happy ending,” and you build from there.

Honestly, there isn’t just one way to do structuring that works. Some people like a bare bones outline before they start, some like hugely detailed outlines, and some get a vague concept for how it will end, and then just start writing. And they can all work! I will say though, if you’re writing something heavily solution-based (like your characters spend the whole story trying to escape a sinking ship in the middle of the ocean, or are trying to fix a time paradox to keep themselves from being erased), it’s highly, highly recommended you know what that solution is before you begin. I don’t know that you /can’t/ figure out on the fly, but it will be so much easier for you as a writer to work towards a solution you already have, than to fly blind. Especially because most solution-heavy plots pick up elements to their solution along the way. This isn’t always necessary—like if the problem is it’s a horror script and there is a serial killer chasing them. “How do you kill a human” has infinite answers, so you don’t really need to pick out specifically how your protag finally takes them out ahead of time if you don’t want. If it’s like, Nightmare on Elm Street though, and your monster almost can’t be killed, you really gonna want to know how to put it in the dirt before you start, though.

That said, I’d recommend doing at least a bare-bones outline, personally for anything very long! It’s totally good and recommended even to edit that outline as you go, to add or subtract or alter upcoming content, but I find it helps a lot to have a vague idea of how much is left, and what the next step will be. It’s kind of reassuring. Again though, not everyone does this. Some skip outlines altogether.

As far as plotting itself goes, I would say start, again, with what you want to write—this might seem counter-intuitive, but trust me. Do you want to write a friendship, or a romance, or a personal journey for a character that leaves them feeling whole? Okay, well, even though most of those don’t seem very plot-creating, consider two factors: what would make this thing you want to have happen happen? And why do you want to write this thing?

For example, I wrote a horror comedy feature script, and my initial idea for it was just a gimmick—the main character can hear the OST, and uses that to help her stay alive. Okay, well, what’s the plot to that? There isn’t one—yet. But why do I like horror comedy in general—why pick that genre? Because horror comedy tends to be a deconstruction/reflective of horror as a whole, and a lot of those commentaries are very meaningful to me. Okay, well, what about horror am /I/ interested in reflecting on? And there’s a lot I’m interested in reflecting on, tbh, but at the time, the big answer for me was casual dehumanization. So, I know my topic/theme, and I know I am picking a wild world for that (as in, I want to write about not dehumanizing people, but I’m setting it in a world where the MC can literally hear the soundtrack to her story), but that can help, honestly, because if you can carry your point with a disadvantage, that’s even better. So I know my gimmick, I know my core issue, and I know my main character. Now, if I want to talk about dehumanization, that means it’s got to be what my killer is doing, and to an even more extreme extent than murder in general, so they must know the victims personally. From there, I worked out who would be best to cast as antagonist and a motive for them (considering other people not as significant as them/ethics are just created by humans mentality, justifying murdering even friends in order to gain serial killer immortality fame), and went from there to okay, so how would they (the killer) do this? And there’s a lot of ways to approach that scene detail plotting. Usually, I just kind of daydream. I make a cast first, then try to figure out what scenes would work well, and once I have a couple in line with my whole plot, string together an outline that supports all of them, and from there carve out a solid start to finish storyline—like, uh, like whittling down a carving, or chipping away to make a statue, kind of. Think of the starting process as a little like solving a mystery by taking clues and working through them to the next logical deduction, I guess, haha.

You can start from a bunch of different places though, not just concept/theme. For ILM, my original thought was just, “I want the survivors to get to escape, but HOW could they do it?” And I tried to solve that problem. Once I had a solution, which was genuinely one of the first things I found, I was like, okay, but it shouldn’t just be about that, because that’s got no real meat—it’s just an ending. What else do I want to see in a story about them? And Wraith was my favorite killer by far, so I thought, “I want to see Philip get to redeem himself and befriend the survivors and be kind and happy,” and that was it. From there, I worked out first where I wanted Philip at as a person/his motivation for how he ended up where he was, which plus some research created the resets for him, and then I worked out how it would start for him, if he was going to befriend survivors. I picked out relationships I wanted to see furthered, and decided if I wanted them to get a happy ending in hell and give Wraith redemption and peace, that meant I was writing a hope punk plotline for sure, and then with a basic idea of how I got from A-Z, started writing. A lot of individual plot lines—Laurie, Quentin, Jeff and Legion, Tapp, Anna, etc, I had not worked out before I began—maybe I had a kind of vague idea what I wanted for them (Laurie to regain her will to live and be able to save her brother too/get him to save herself, Quentin to get closure, Anna to find humanity, etc), but mostly I kind of brainstormed each the character arcs when I hit their first POV chapter, and crafted their personal story arcs there, then adjusted some as ideas grew.

Which was a super different process form my feature. While my feature more or less hit “what’s the theme/core concept” right off the bat in planning, ILM was “What’s the goal” and didn’t hit theme really until partway through writing, so the process won’t even always be the same for you as a writer. But I definitely recommend, no matter what you’re starting with, to go about it by looking at what makes you want to write what you are writing. For New Dawn Fades, my initial starting point was literally just wanting to write a scene between Quentin and Joey—that was it. I had no framework, or theme, or story goal—just a scene. But I was like, okay, well, if you need a story to back this once scene and further it, not just give it an excuse to happen, what is the story? Well, the reason I wanted to write the scene was because I liked how Joey and Quentin interacted. Quentin’s a bit of a martyr and constantly overwhelmed with guilt and trauma and had to grow up way too fast, and Joey’s a decent person at heart that has let himself slip way too much into bad territory out of fear, and together, they kind of bring out the best in or for each other; Joey is like, the single most likely character in DbD to be able to remind Quentin he’s legit just a teenager actually and should cut lose and just be okay for at least like fifteen damn minutes a day, and might actually be able to get him to do it, and Quentin’s the right mix of uncompromisingly ethical and genuinely forgiving to get Joey to look at and reevaluate his choices without spiraling into hopelessness and self-hate instead of self-improvement. So the answer was I wanted them to get to help each other. From that starting place, I just kind of went step by step with “Okay, how could they logically meet in such a way they are forced to spend time together and it gives them a chance to reach some of this,” and the rest came pretty easy. A lot comes step by step too, I find, and sometimes I have a whole super solid outline before writing and sometimes I don’t know beyond the next chapter except in the most general of terms. So what I would basically always recommend with making a general plotline is consider why you want to write what you want to write, and move from there to, “Okay well how do I get it.” And that process will be wildly different from story to story, but as a basic start, it helps me a lot. I wanted to see Claudette reach out to Wraith? Okay, why would she do that, and how? How would he react—what are the consequences, both from other people, each other, and the Entity? I guess I kind of go at plotlines like a puzzle. If this happens, what are the characters’ next choices? Which would they pick? And if I know where I want them to end, how do I steer their situation towards that point? For doing this, I highly recommend listening to music and daydreaming/just watching and trying scenes out some in your head. Also, if you get stuck, watch or read similar stories and let that inspire you! I don’t mean you gotta or should like, trace over someone else’s scene or something, but all fiction is intertextual, and that’s a good thing. We write based on our existing knowledge and love or ambivalence or distaste for other stories, and in communication with them, and it can add a lot. Stuff with Laurie & Michael in ILM didn’t end up like a single Halloween film in any of the six+ damn timelines, but I /did/ draw inspiration from the H20 line, and H2, which were the closest those two ever got. Watched the end of H20 and went, okay, if they’d had a better chance sooner, what could have happened, and played with that. Watching a lot of well-made fight scenes is also great inspiration for writing action—highly recommend.

I’m not entirely sure how helpful all of this will be, because plotting techniques tend to be pretty varied from writer to writer, but I hope it helps. If it hasn’t, here’s a quick compilation of more technical-side based tips that hopefully wil:

One technique I see recommended a lot and that can help/has before, is to start with your core concept. Now, I would disagree that you must always start here, but it can be a very good place. The idea is to be able to sum up in one line what the meaning of the story is. Like, for the film Holes, it would be something like, “Evil in this world is caused by treating people inhumanly, and the only way to break that curse is to treat your fellow man with decency and value and love.” Basically every plotline in the film backs this idea—Kissing Kate, who is a kind and happy woman until the man she loves, Sam, is murdered by her town for being a black man in a relationship with her, a white woman. That inhuman act drives her to become an outlaw. You have the Yelnats, who get cursed to be followed by misfortune forever when Stanley doesn’t honor his promise to Madame Zaroni, none of which would have happened if he had listened to her in the first place & not gone after a girl based solely on her looks, or if she had cared who either suitor was as a person, and could have been avoided had Madame Zaroni been more to Stanley than a means to an end. You have a whole cast of delinquent boys being mistreated and not at all healed by a juvie system that treats them all like they’re no longer humans worth anything. You have Zero, not even treated as human by juvie standards because he doesn’t talk, isolating himself—all of which stems from growing up on the streets impoverished with a mom struggling to do her best and failing. Stanley is falsely convicted for a crime he didn’t commit and mistreated over it, and has his life ruined. Even Grace, the main antagonist, is who she is because her family has been obsessed and abusive for generations, and she grew up a tool to her father. Then in the end, almost every one of these wrongs, even the ancient wrong of Sam’s murder, is corrected by people choosing to be better and break—in two cases quite literally—the curses on them and others by just being kind and choosing to love and treat others with respect and care. Stanley chooses to befriend Zero to be nice, and Zero reciprocates. Then when Zero runs off, Stanley runs off to help him because he’s afraid he will die, and simply because he loves him as a person, fulfills his family’s ancient promise unknowingly by carrying Zero up a mountain in search of water to save his life. This gives his family and him luck again, and ends up saving everyone. Zero tells Stanley the truth about himself and stops self isolating and being just sad and alone because he had a friend who treats him with value, all the boys end up okay and semi adopted by Stanley’s family in the end and out of abuse and juvie and treated well and live up to that faith put in them, and justice being finally brought breaks Kate’s curse and lets it rain again for the first time since Sam’s death and gives Kate’s spirit peace. —and that’s the idea. To have all your arcs and themes back your one core concept. Now, sometimes people find this super helpful, sometimes they find it overwhelming, but it can be worth a lot.

Another is to just kind of try the dartboard model, which is getting an idea you like to start with (like uhhh, Dogfighting dog is injured so it is going to be put down, but it escapes it’s master and runs off into the woods. Out there, it wanders until happening on an injured human child). Okay, so the plot is about a dog that has been abused choosing to connect to a human in spite of that, and probably about how the kid survives getting out of the woods with the dog’s help. But what actually happens? Dartboard method is just come up with a bunch of potential scenarios for the two characters and play them out in your head, keep your favorites, and then see if you can find a way to string those scenes together. You like a scene where the dog fights off a mountain lion, a scene where the kid and dog huddle together for warmth in a cave during a storm and the kid gets to be the one doing the looking out because the dog is terrified of thunder, and you like a scene where the kid is walking with a branch to help them keep going, sees a road up ahead which means help finally, but passes out from exhaustion, so the panicked dog has to deal with intentionally attracting the attention of adult humans after the abuse it has suffered, in the hope it can lead them to the kid and get help? Great. Okay, what basic order do these scenes go in, what can fill the gaps between X and Z? A lot of thing, you’ll have fun scenes you end up having to reject, because they don’t fit, but it’s a pretty laid back if chaotic method.

Then of course there’s just the classic. Outline. As in, take whatever idea you have, and force yourself to pitch a complete A-Z set of steps like you’re in a writing class. IE:

Dog is introduced. — Dog is inured and going to be put down. —Owner is distracted by a fight breaking out, and dog manages to jerk leash free and escape. — dog flees to woods. — Dog is alone and skittish. There is a storm and it freaks out and holes up. — Next morning, after the storm, Dog hears human crying & is afraid, but curious. Goes to peek. Sees kid who has must have been out here in the storm because a branch snapped and has pinned them by the leg — Dog wants to help because dog instincts, but is afraid of even small human. Eventually peeks head out. — Kid is terrified too, because scary huge scarred dog and they can’t run. Dog scared because human. — Eventually, kid gets over fear and tries to call to dog, and it comes out. Kid pets it and it’s afraid to be touched, but then accepts the affection. — Dog tries to help kid out by digging their leg free. Kid, who hand not thought of that, helps, and gets free.

(Usually you do this more branching and pretty, IE: Scene 1: Dog is in a dogfighting match.

—1A: Dog loses fight and suffers a bad infury to its eye, making it no longer fight for fights.

—1B: Dog’s master angrily comes to collect them. Dog tries to get affection, but he’s mad at it for failing & mutters about putting it down.

Scene 2: Owner takes dog out back to put down.

But that would take up a ton of space on this already massively long post.). There’s also a more simplified version of this, where you just kind of go like Chapter 1: Dog is introduced, loses fight, then escapes being put down and flees. Chapter 2: Dog is terrified of a thunderstorm and from having been almost killed & forced to fight for so long. Runs out of town to the woods as the storm breaks. Hides out under bush. Chapter 3: Dog wakes up to hear human crying. Goes to investigate hesitantly. Finds human kid trapped unde fallen branch. Kid is afraid of dog, dog afraid of kid, but eventually kid coaxes dog to come over and befriends it. Dog tries to help kid and dig them out, and together they get the kid free from tree.

As you can see, that basically gets the same information across, it’s just much shorter, but also has less solidly set as far as details of how stuff happens. Again though, if you go for an outline method, please don’t feel like you have to be married to it. It’s just a resource to try to help you, not actually the story itself, and stoeiws pretty much always evolve as you go, so it’s normal and also kinda fun and good to have to adjust outlines.

Anyway, this was already a mouthful, but I hope it helps, or at least some of it does! For me personally, the best techniques have always been to daydream scenes and events, and to approach writing things I get stuck on either like a deductive puzzle of “Well if She does This, then her friend can do either X, Y, or Z, and Z makes the most sense. Now, I need to figure out a way for them to escape the building. What are th options? Window, door, roof? Technically they could bust down a wall. They’ll never make the roof in time, so that’s out. They have about two minutes before dying, and one of them is injured, so they can’t go fast. The arsonist is going to be watching the front door and the windows carefully though, just in case, so they need a diversion or—Wait—the cat door in the garage. Perfect.” —or by trying to get very into the headspace of whoever is running the scene, and just literally think through why they want and are feeling and going to do. (Though again, I personally approach writing from a very acting-heavy standpoint). Anyway! Hope this helps some, and you find what works best for you. BACKGROUND.

born in la, california !! will always be a cali baby at heart, both his parents are originally from korea but moved there because they wanted to start a family in america !

he has two younger siblings - bora, who’s 12, and jandi, who’s 25 ! such an older brother, he teases / loves them to death and will fly to cali just to fight whoever hurts them !

original name is eunkwang elijah kang, but around middle school he changed it because a.) people always asked him about it or couldn’t pronounce it and b.) he didn’t think it fit him

the only people who still call him that are his parents when they’re speaking korean and his grandparents / aunts in korea. he introduces himself as elijah or eli nowadays, though !

but he prefers eli somewhat because elijah makes him feel like he’s getting in trouble ?? lmao !

his mom tried to get him into child acting because acting was always something she wanted to do, but it didn’t go very far for him

his father hated the idea of him going into the entertainment industry because he didn’t feel like it was a stable career, and thought that as the oldest of the family he should be financially well off

consequently, him and his dad’s relationship has become a little difficult now, he loves him a lot but is frustrated his dad doesn’t seem to be happy for him pursuing his dreams

even so, he started getting into singing because his mom had him join the church choir she lead ! he pretended he hated it but he loved getting all the old people to smile on that little stage

but he really got into performing when he tried to impress a girl with a talent show & won second place by doing a really cringy song & dance performance with friends !

feel free to read more in his bio, but long story short he auditioned as a joke and had the surprise of the century when he made it past auditions AND callbacks !

the idea of being in the “kpop” industy still seems so weird to gim, esp bc it’s never something he saw himself doing ?? he’s a r&b type of guy so it was really weird for him to think about at first

they decided to go with this “flirty bad boy image” for him which isn’t too out of character tbh ?? but they also thought he had the look of a rapper so started training him to be one ! so now it’s one of his positions, and though he finds it really fun he’s embarrassed to call himself one because he doesn’t feel like he has the skills to rap.

he has a v unique voice, similar to wonpil’s, but since he had no proper training prior to joining the company they had to work with him a lot bc he didn’t really know how to use it !

was a little apprehensive at the whole “boy band” thing at first, until he realized just how much he loved it ?? and then became very invested and has been working hard ever since !he has high hopes for the group and thinks that, as long as they work hard, they can gain a stable following

also was like thank god bc he can’t dance for shit so that helped him otu a l o t !!

PERSONALITY.

like i said before, his personality’s not too different from his brand the company is trying to market him as once they debut ! so “flirty bad boy” pretty much sums it up lmao. he’s got the whole rebellious streak going on, but i wouldn’t call him bad for real because he’s still got a good heart, he’s just dumb and gets into equally dumb scenarios. i think that this pretty much sums it up:

haha !! anyways he is definitely a flirt, even when he doesn’t mean to be ! but he usually does, and isn’t afraid at all at expressing his attraction to others ! ( on that note - he’s pansexual fyi ! ) but his downfall is that he’s terrible with commitment, he’s just not in the mood to settle down and doesn’t know how but i’m sure he’s got a long list of romantic connections !

he’s got a bit of a potty mouth, he doesn’t really have a filter ( unless he’s somewhere for work ofc ) but even then he’s had a few embarrassing slip-ups. def got a few wrist slaps for it bc apparently he can’t shut up !! but please lmk if you don’t want him to curse in our threads bc even though it won’t be that bad in threads, i don’t want anyone to feel uncomfy !

very spontaneous, definitely the type to call you up at 3am on a sunday asking to go out some random place with him, he just loves adventure ! some find it endearing while others find it chaotic, he’s really a hit or miss in terms of this !

a charmer, he knows how to say things that people here....especially when trying to get himself out of a sticky situation ! if he had a superpower it’d be sweet talking people, he’s got a way with words and that’s ultimately how he’s become as successful as he has ! once 4am debuts he’ll definitely give fans lots of fanservice and is the type to “marry” them at fansigns and such.

on that note he’s very deceptive and isn’t pathological liar, but can do it v casually if he thinks it’ll make his situation any better ?? not a good thing but yk just how it is !

bc of these he’s quite the life of the party, and actually gravitates toward quieter people because he wants them to have fun & he’s def the first to try to break the awkward tension !

super carefree - the world could be crumbling, and this man will make a joke about it ! it can be good in stressful situations due to his ability to keep a leveled head, but at the same time it causes him to make poor decisions because he’s less concerned about the end results.

a downside is that he can have a bit of a temper, and if he feels like someone’s competing with him or trying to prove him wrong he gets pretty defensive. also if someone breaks his trust this man holds the biggest grudge i stg

tw: alcohol ! he loves to drink, it’s a habit he started back in america but moved over here ! he can’t do it quite as often bc of company rules he has to maneuver, but if you ask him to go out for some drinks, he’ll never say no.

just...silly lmao !! will literally come into his member’s rooms in the middle of the night just to do a stupid dance then walk out & leave.

very loyal & protective over those he loves !! he’s an older brother, so that’s rooted deep in him and he cares deeply about those he gets close too !

not a leader in any way ( thank god atlas saw that ), but he has his own way of checking up on people ! he’s not the talk-about-your-feelings type per se, but if he sees someone’s down he’ll go out his way to make them laugh or do something to make them feel better

having that skill gave her the boost of confidence she needed from middle school onward, having been a tad reserved before then

upon moving to the city, she attended nyu just to keep her parents from completely losing their minds over her not.. wanting to go on a sure path, majoring in communications and spending much of her time as a dj for the campus radio station’s late night shows

soon began searching for dj gigs at major radio stations once she’d graduated and landed a spot as an intern to meet with artists the station wished to interview, etc, and even had an opportunity or two to interview them herself

through that job, she became more exposed to the groupie lifestyle and — having always been somewhat intrigued — soon became one ( of sorts )

sorry if you’re a fan of h*lsey bc this might come across as a dig, but this is where she becomes the chill version of groupie!h*lsey that h*lsey wishes she had been DFLSKJDGSFL

she liked the attention from drummers, singers and rappers alike — plus having sex with talented, rich people whenever they were in town didn’t hurt one bit — and she kept it all separate from her job, although it did help the station land more interviews, tickets for contests, etc

wasn’t big on hard drugs, but she never shied away from a bong being handed to her or a couple of xanax tablets, just so we’re clear here sdflkgjfdgk

however, the no-strings set-up quickly shifted for dahlia upon meeting a rising indie band’s lead singer

he was smooth as hell, which she already knew alongside his tendency to get bored easily with fangirls-turned-groupies like the rest of the musicians she’d met, so when she played along with his game, it didn’t take long for him to maintain an interest in her and for them to forge something of a friendship

she’d never admit it to anyone, but he was her first love as the initial sexual attraction very quickly became romantic after long conversations about music and aspirations, mundane happenings in their lives separate from their encounters and who should’ve won immunity on the recent ep of masterchef; dia knew he wouldn’t settle down now and she knew that while she was his number one at that point, she wasn’t the only one he had. a couple of months passed where it seemed like he was going only to her, that his interest rarely waned to the other girls that would swarm him, which led her to believe he was at least somewhat into her and to her confessing when they were both drunk one night — only to be shut down but not shut out

dejected and heartbroken, she still couldn’t quite distance herself from him like she knew she should and the front she put up — that she exaggerated her feelings and would get over it — made him none the wiser

however, he couldn’t get over the thought of his fwb still being in love with him and cut ties with her abruptly before his nth departure from nyc

it took her right out of her bubble, left a horrible taste in her mouth to even go back to being a groupie for others over how poorly it all went with him, so she abandoned the sexual aspect and potential intimacy of it — but not before taking herself completely out of that lifestyle for a few months to get over him

which.. lbr, she’s only 90% of the way there to this day sfdlkkdfsgl

upon going back, she showed up to shows and parties solely as a friend of the performer.... before that got old Quick and she realized how soul-sucking it was for her sexually frustrated And repressed ass KFSLJGS

though ask her pals and they’d think she’d given it up altogether, hence her supposedly being reformed

.. at least she isn’t indulging in drugs like she occasionally used to, so that counts for something lksdfjlgdf

as for her time in radio, she got promoted to a morning slot as a dj with a couple of co-hosts last year, though once an afternoon slot opened, she high-tailed it out of there

anything to get back to her chill, late night roots and this was the first step

lastly, she moved to avalon bay 2 years ago, after uni was done and she had to move out of the dorms. in that time, she’d become best friends with another girl and had a massive falling out bc the other was. well. changing for the worst sgfjgfd

she became selfish, judgmental, advantageous and disloyal, and soon dia had enough of her hypocritical and generally nasty antics ( and not without a brutal argument that left both of their egos bruised )

dahlia isn’t always one for petty revenge, but when the ex-bff’s roommate and crush — who dia had a slight interest in as well — bumped into her in the hallway of their dorm one night, she took her chance to knock the other down a peg by initiating a flirtatious conversation that quickly turned sexual

with her ex-bff being on the other side of the wall of said roommate’s room

safe to say that their ( final ) conversation in the morning was a fucking disaster SDFLGKJGFDK

it’s not something she’s entirely ashamed about, but dia doesn’t feel the need to disclose what happened

PERSONALITY AND OTHER SHIT

she loves her friends, would die for them, would kill for them. let’s get that straight first and foremost !

BnHA Chapter 169: Shut Up and Dance

Previously on BnHA: Aoyama creeped on Deku in the middle of the fucking night. A petrified Deku went to take a closer look only to find that Aoyama had left a weird “I KNOW~~” message spelled out on his balcony with fucking cheese. The next day in Cementoss’s class the kids resumed working on special moves. Deku got all brooding and thought about how he couldn’t beat Overhaul even with his absolute max of 20%. Then Aoyama got his attention and carved a possibly-suspicious-or-maybe-just-weird French message into a chunk of rock with his navel laser before collapsing in pain. Deku took Aoyama to rest for a bit and asked him what the cheese message meant. Aoyama said that Deku was like him -- someone who possessed a quirk that didn’t really suit his body. Aoyama himself is unable to control his navel laser without the aid of his support belt. He saw Deku as a kindred spirit and was trying to cheer him up since he knew he was starting to feel frustrated. And thus a new sparkly bond of friendship was born.

Today on BnHA: The kids randomly discuss how great Mina is at dancing and how great Jirou is at music stuff. Later that day, in a pure coincidence, Aizawa announces the upcoming cultural festival. Despite the recent string of villain attacks, the school has decided to go ahead with it as a way to hopefully help the stressed-out student body. 1-A gets to work determining what program their class will do, with people suggesting everything from petting zoos to cafes to “a banquet for students of darkness.” Momo and Iida narrow down everyone’s ridiculous suggestions, but they’re unable to settle on a final program, and Aizawa gives them one day to figure it out. That evening the kids gather in the fanfic dorms and Iida says they should come up with something that will help the other students de-stress. Todoroki of all people suggests that they host a dance party with live music. Jirou is a bit nervous about performing in front of everyone, but with her classmates’ support she agrees to do it. Let the Band AU arc begin.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 195 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)

¬ romance headcanons. repost; do not reblog!

name: Jiraiya nickname: Ero-Sennin, Jira, Raiya, and probably a whole host of others he doesn’t know about. gender: Cis male romantic orientation: Yes sexual orientation: Yes

preferred pet names: He likes anything, really. Anything is fine with him, even if it’s mildly insulting, because someone cared enough to give him it. He’ll try and get creative, funny and oddly specific when thinking of pet names for others. They usually end up being more like titles.

relationship status: Almost always ‘painfully single’ or ‘it’s complicated’

favorite canon ship: Uhhh. The unrequited love towards Tsunade and how he deals with that is something I love, to be honest, as much as I ship them being happy together. I guess that’s as close to a purely canon ship as we get with him!

favorite non-canon ship: Sannin OT3 (though is that not basically canon pff), Jira/Oro and Jira/Tsu. Those are my big ones that I came into this loving, tbh, also give me a Sakumo or someone else similarly aged and male for young man Jiraiya to explore his bisexuality with. Like, gimme. Hit me up with that shit. Even though the Sannin get almost nothing in terms of other shinobi their age!

opinion on true love: He believes it exists, and to be honest he kinda fears it. To him, it’s the sort of unconditional love that will see you do anything for that person, which is scary for someone who lives primarily for himself and has such lofty ideals that he doesn’t want anything to get in the way of. What if the person he loves to that degree is the wrong sort? He’d find it more challenging to stick to his ideals if it came at the detriment of someone he was in love with. But you’ve gotta give him props, because he’d try his best to meet in the middle :P

opinion on love at first sight: Not love, only lust--though in his excitement at seeing someone particularly eye-catching he might think ‘oh wow, I love her!’ (and let’s face it, it’s usually a ‘her’ because he’s weak to an amazing rack). He does, however, believe it’s possible to feel a spark of interest or intrigue that compels one to find out more about a person. He believes that people can naturally gravitate towards each other through some force that can’t be seen or explained.

how ‘romantic’ are they? He finds falling into affectionate, lovey-dovey behaviour very easy, because he lives for that ‘honeymoon period’ (which is pretty much the extent of any relationship he has). He likes to buy gifts for love interests and write little poems/love letters for them, so in that sense he’s quite cheesy in his romance. However, it can sometimes come across as pretty shallow because he goes into a relationship with such an ‘all in good fun’ attitude, not seeking anything serious out of it. When he’s truly fallen for someone his love is a lot more quiet and intense, manifesting in ways such as always keeping an eye out for them/potential threats to them at all times, and pretty much bending over backwards to make sure they’re happy. He's romantic to the degree that when separated from his loved one, the strength of his love can feel like Actual Death crushing down on him, and if it existed in their world he’d probably spend long candlelit hours listening to the entirety of Disintegration by The Cure on repeat and pining while writing poetry. And worst thing is, he’ll enjoy the sheer self-indulgence of being so hopelessly in love. So in short, he’s pathetically romantic :’)

ideal physical traits: Regardless of gender he tends to go for a softer, ‘prettier’ face, but it hasn’t stopped him from making eyes at a handsome manly-man. One preference is long hair over short--on any gender. A huge turn-on for him, again in any gender, is a more shapely hip as opposed to narrow, particularly with a nice dip to the waist. A curving spine with good posture (unlike his own). Smooth skin with minimal hair is a plus. Also... kinda more appearance than bodily trait, but a certain flair in terms of style goes a long way with him.

ideal personality traits: Fun-loving, adventurous, healthily competitive, a sharp sense of humour, passionate about a cause or hobby. Someone who can keep up with him in all his wild impulsiveness and throw aside responsibility, but also rein him in when it’s needed (and possibly even be a little controlling). Somebody with that perfect balance of clinginess/independence. In fact, someone who has a tendency to be cold/aloof can be very appealing to him because it offers him the challenge of getting to their softer centre.

unattractive physical traits: Honestly, just poor grooming/presentation/hygiene. Unloved hair, nails and skin is a turn-off. Other than that he can easily be attracted to a variety of different bodies/faces.

unattractive personality traits: Judgemental, harshly critical (particularly of him), close-minded, resistant to trying new things/taking risks. He’s an optimist though, so he’ll often seek out the attractive traits in people and focus on those.

ideal date: Wine and dine all the way, followed by a nice scenic walk, stargazing (and, date permitting, getting a little frisky somewhere ill-advised).

do they have a type? Not particularly--if he clicks with someone in conversation, chances are he can go from ‘meh’ to ‘would bang’ very quickly.

average relationship length: Ahahaha. Up to six months, I’d say. When he was in his teens he may have had one or two girlfriends for a year or so, but as he gets older he’s on the road too much to hold down anything long term, and to be honest he doesn’t even want to risk trying.

preferred non-sexual intimacy: Use him as a chair. Get in his lap, snuggle into his chest, wrap your arms around his neck. Pet him. Pet each other. Face touches. Share baths (though that may well become sexual). Drink together and get all passionate about interests.

commitment level: Basically nonexistent, without heaps of development. Nothing personal~ (on the other hand, he’s ridiculously committed to his fellow Sannin, in both friendship and if a relationship was to start with either of them. Go fig.)

opinion of public affection: Fun and sexy, with a partner willing to engage. He loves to show off who he has on his arm. Still, the point of anything more than your typical PDA is to keep it clandestine, to see how much they can work each other up in the most subtle of ways. In general, he tries to restrict it to an arm around the waist/shoulders but he often gets ahead of himself--he might need to be told off for being a little too gropey in public. He really couldn’t care less about seeing others’ PDA! Good on them!

past relationships? He’s not had many meaningful ones, just a looooong string of flings, shorter relationships that fizzled and one night stands. When he was a teen, I think he had a couple of girlfriends until he didn’t, probably was in a relationship with the person he lost his virginity to. In his late teens/early twenties, probably didn’t want to be tied down and experimented with men too (especially tempting when he was sent places far from home). During his longer stints away from Konoha (between his return from Ame and Minato’s death, and again between Minato’s death and coming back to Konoha/meeting Naruto), I suspect he may have held a couple of relationships for a few weeks or months here and there, possibly a few willing booty calls at any given time, but things were all so fucked that his heart wasn’t really in them. In short, Pretty Much Nonexistent!

hello, pals! i passed out last night and couldn’t join you, but here i am! with this child. back to the basics, i’m liv and i’m a college student enjoying a much-needed break ( thank any & all gods out there ) and i probably talk too much so feel free to tell me to shut up. i use she/her pronouns, and i’m all about some beautiful plotting making so hit me up ( i listed some basic ones, but send me all your ideas!! ) ! as usual, i didn’t write up a bio for my child ( i am also very trash ) so you get badly written bullet points instead. just come love ( or hate ) him !

a little background

this handsome boy is otto hayworth, he’s the son of hollywood royalty, idk his family is like one of those big hollywood dynasties like the coppolas and everyone is involved in some way (i was planning on requesting some sibs but changed my mind for now)

so yeah he grew up in the spotlight and there was a lot of money being offered for his first picture as a baby, just lots of craziness, which was why his parents decided to raise him in london and not la (his mom is brit too but his dad’s american).

when he was like 10 he was cast as harry potter and the rest is history. he spent the next ten years of his life working on that franchise and all his parents' trouble to try and keep him away from the limelight were for nothing lol.

after he was done with harry potter he chose to do smaller movies because he wanted a break from blockbusters and honestly he doesn’t like doing the same role over and over again. so he tries to find roles that are always challenging for him.

but then he found himself as part of the star wars franchise because everyone i hollywood went after those roles and who doesn’t want to play around with lightsabers anyway.

the personality

if one thing can be said about leo though is that he is one charismatic guy. he is outgoing and has a sort of magnetic personality that draws people in. and it’s not like he wasn’t raised to be like this am i right? after twenty-six years dealing with it, being in the public eye is sort of second nature by now.

it should also be noted that otto is a sarcastic little shit. he will constantly say things for his own amusement and sometimes people won’t even realize that he doesn’t actually mean it, and he won’t correct them because, again, he’s doing it for his own amusement and being a pos.

he is very confident and a bit narcissistic too (find me an actor that isn’t). he’s very outgoing and can own the room and just loves the attention. but he’s not as open as people might think. he keeps his private life very protected from the media craziness. that’s something he learned from his parents.

he is stubborn af and when he puts something in his mind no one will be able to make him change it. that also makes him very driven -- if he sees something that he truly wants he won’t stop until he gets it, and he will do anything in his power to achive it.

he’s a bon vivant, and enjoys the luxury and all the nice things in life. fast cars, hot people, aged scotch and expensive toys. honestly, he’s all about enjoying his life the best he can. he’s super self-indulgent and spares no time, money, or achieved just that. he doesn’t settle and if he isn’t satisfied he will just move on to bigger and better things.

otto would never be happy doing anything else, honestly. he’s restless and needs the dynamism that acting allows. he doesn’t like being still or not having something to do. he is always on the go. if he isn’t working, he’s partying. what is sleep and where does he find it?

and speaking of parties, yes, he is a party boy and yes he enjoys those a lot! otto’s aestehtics is leo dicaprio’s parties on a yacht in saint tropez surrounded by hot models or something like that. he loves people and he loves entertaining, so yes he loves playing host to parties.

he is a bit of a casanova – okay it’s more than a bit. he really enjoys sex. he doesn’t go giving people false hope that sex will lead to anything else (what is commitment), but has probably broken a few hearts. tbh his relationships are always messy because of that.

though he parties hard, he works hard too. he does love what he does and when he gets a role he will study hard to become that role and understand his character’s motivations and thought process. and he is very professional when he is working. directors just love working with him because of that.

he has a constant need to prove himself to pretty much everyone. when he first started people were fast to say he got the roles because of his parents and nothing pissed him off more than hearing that.

he is also bisexual, but he hasn’t come out to the public or the media. his friends and family know, of course. a lot of talk about it came up when he did brokeback mountain, but it didn’t faze him, he was more interested in the oscar nomination he got for that one.

he is very thick skinned, and unless the blow comes from someone whose opinion he sees as important or someone he cares about, he won’t let it get to him. sometimes he likes to google himself just for the laughs tbh.

with all his flaws, otto is a very caring guy. he will go to huge lengths to make sure his family and friends are happy and well, and he’s incredibly supportive of people he cares about.

plot ideas

brotp: this is the ultimate bro! they would have known each other for years now, they’re best friends and everyone knows it. the ben to his matt! otto loves this guy as his own family tbh.

practically sibs: otto and this girl grew up together and have known each other since diapers. their parents are friends and they were probably each other’s first friends. he trusts her a lot and knows he can talk to them about anything and not be judged.

firsts: these are the two (one guy and one girl) that were otto’s firsts. maybe they weren’t even together at the time, but just friends who were curious and thought the other was hot and trusted them enough to explore their sexuality together. they could still hook up sometimes or just have that connection.

the broken heart: otto is oblivious to this, but the character is someone who had his heart broken by otto. maybe they are friends, or maybe it’s just someone who had a crush and was turned down for some reason.

close exes: this would probably be someone otto dated when he was much younger, and they have remained close because it was a relationship he didn’t destroy. they probably just broke up because they were too young and didn’t know what love was or something.

like you better when we’re wasted: this friendship relies on nothing more than going out and having a wild time. these two are friends when they’re partying but for some reason, they don’t get along when sober.

friends with benefits: these are just friends who hook up and haven’t blurred the lines between the physical and emotional connection. it’s easy in a very no-strings-attached sort of way, but it doesn’t mean they don’t care about each other as friends. i can imagine post-sex conversations about life.

the friendly competition: the media keeps on trying to pit these two against each other and trying to create a rivalry, but they act like it’s all friendly when in reality it isn’t. they are trying to outdo each other and be the best at what they do.

mr. steal your girl: these had a somehow civil relationship, but that changed when otto hooked up with his girlfriend/ex-girlfriend, and since then this character has hated otto. think indirect on twitter and all that fun stuff.

hot and cold: they say there’s a fine line between love and hate and that is true between these two. one minute they’re having a friendly conversation the next they’re bickering nonstop. sometimes you can tell the two care about each other, but the next it looks like they’re about to go for each other’s throats. it’s your classic love/hate relationship, and these two care more about each other than they like to let on.

Getting Nowhere

genre: angst?/fluff/slightly suggested smut (tbh it’s like not even really smut)

summary: you and jimin were friends with benefits, and you never intended to be anything more, but what about him?

a/n: So I needed another guy for a part of the story, I just picked Taehyung, but in this scenario I’m not thinking as if Jimin and he would know each other. I changed the request slightly, but not by much :)

- original title was “you can’t love me” but I changed it, i didn’t really like that one anymore lol

The sun broke through the shades, finally waking you. But upon opening your eyes, you quickly realized this was not your room. Not your bed. And you were just gonna take a wild guess that you weren’t in your apartment.

Looking over your shoulder, it didn’t surprise you to see the familiar black haired friend of yours sound asleep next to you.

“Shit.” You mumbled to yourself. His arm wrapped around your waist, holding you close. Making escaping difficult if you tried. But you had to leave, you shouldn’t have stayed the night, what had gotten into you?

Taking his wrist lightly in your grip, you moved his arm from your waist, doing your best to not wake him. Sliding off the bed, trying not to make the floor squeak, you began regaining your clothes. Occasionally glancing back to make sure you weren’t caught. You were halfway there, jeans now on, if you could just find your shirt. On the ceiling fan, really?

You chuckled to yourself, quietly, as you carefully took the shirt and pulled it on.

“I kinda prefer that off of you, or on my ceiling fan. Either one is fine with me.”

Turning around, you couldn’t help but look embarrassed. “Well, right now, I prefer it on my body.”

The both of you laughing as you now searched for your phone and keys. “What’s the rush? I mean, you’re already here. I’ll make you some coffee, and if you’re lucky, maybe I’ll even make you a pancake or two. Or at least try to make them.” You flashed a soft smile, but shook your head, grabbing the last few things of yours. “Jimin, come on,” Walking over to him as he sat up in bed, you playfully ran a hand through his hair. Then rested it on his cheek. “you know that’s a no-no. What did we say in the beginning of all this?”

He chuckled, leaning into the touch of your hand as he looked up at you. “I know. But, it’s just breakfast y/n. Nothing more, I swear.” It would just be breakfast, but, you knew better. He knew better.

“I’m sorry Jimin. I shouldn’t have even spent the night, I don’t know what got into me.” You shook your head as you sighed. But Jimin just laughed. “A good amount of alcohol, that’s what. It was nice having you stay for once though. It was, different.”

For a second you thought you could almost hear some feelings behind Jimin’s words, but you snapped back to reality as you checked the time. “Yeah, well, I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted because it probably won’t happen again. I gotta go.” You quickly kissed his cheek before heading out of his flat.

For a few months now, you and Jimin had been exploring a friends with benefits relationship. You two had been friends for years before, and neither one of you was exactly having the best luck with relationships. One night you each had gotten a bit drunk and decided to vent to one another about your bad experience with dating. Somehow this led to the two of you kissing, and then you woke up the next day naked in his bed. At first, you thought you’d have to stop talking to Jimin. That you two hooking up would ruin your friendship. But somehow, it oddly gave you both the random idea of just adding sex into the mix every once and awhile.

Things were surprisingly going great, it not ever making things weird or awkward. The two of you had set some ground rules in the beginning.

-No feelings, no strings attached.

-You both could still sleep with other people (of course using protection and everything to be considerate of one another).

-If one of you wanted to pursue a relationship with someone, the friends with benefits relationship would cease to exist.

Neither one of you really ever inquired about who else you both slept with. Although sometimes Jimin wanted to know if he was better, or bigger. And if you ever said yes it just boosted his ego. And when you said no, he would only have to try and “prove” to you he was better.

But through it all, you were surprised. You were sure you would have somehow ended up catching feelings, or falling for Jimin. But you hadn’t. It was almost, too easy for you to just have sex and then just go back to being friends, nothing more. Jimin sometimes made you think he was getting attached. He’d make comments that seemed more than friendly, or he’d ask to stay over. Things you never did. Only staying over accidentally, or when you’ve had a lot to drink, which wasn’t often.

You never once thought about being more than friends, or friends with benefits. But what about Jimin, what if he had?

[Jimin - 11:45 pm] you busy?

[Jimin - 11:55 pm] y/n come on I’m dying over here

“Should you check that?” You shook your head, pulling Taehyung’s- wait was that his name, or was it, no you were pretty sure it was Taehyung -lips back to yours, ignoring your phone. You’d been out with a few friends and he’d bought you some drinks, introducing himself before accompanying you to the dance floor. Which didn’t last long, the two of you immediately becoming infatuated with one another, surely the alcohol having a bit of an effect on you both. Which led to you two now making out, and likely to do more, at your apartment..

[Jimin - 12:10 am] alright, next time you need me, I’ll just give you the silent treatment and see how you like it

“You sure you don’t need to-” “Fuck!” Taehyung laughed as you leaned over, grabbing your phone and quickly typed a reply back.

[You - 12:12 am] fuck off Jimin! I don’t blow up your phone when you’re getting it in

It was later now, 3 am to be exact. You woke up, to see a sleeping- shit, what was his name again? Tae, Tae, Taehyung? Sure let’s go with it- sleeping soundly next to you. His arm was wrapped around your waist and you relaxed, cuddling closer to him. He reacted to your movement, briefly opening his eyes to look down at you. Smiling as he pressed a light kiss to your temple.

Again you woke up, this time much later, and for good. Sitting up in your bed, you found Taehyung searching the room for his shirt. Clearing your throat you caught him off guard, making him rub his neck out of embarrassment.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to just leave without saying anything. I just, to be honest I don’t normally do the whole, bar hook up thing. So I wasn’t sure what the right move was here. And I can’t find my shirt.”

You both laughed, his cheeks growing red as you looked around the room. Until something caught your eye. Looking at Taehyung with a smile, you pointed up, making him look to find his shirt tangled around your ceiling fan.

“How did that even happen?”

He shook his head, untangling the fabric and slipping it over his chest. “Trust me, you’re not the first person that’s happened to.” Once dressed, he walked over to you, sitting in your bed wrapped in your comforter.

“Well, thanks for a great night. I’ll call you?” You just shook your head as he leaned in, his hand tilting your chin as he pressed his lips to yours. The kiss soft, and delicate as he slipped a piece of paper, most likely his number written on it, into your hand.

“Bye.”

Jimin had asked to grab coffee, and you saw no harm in it. You were a bit rude to him the other night when he blew up your phone.

Once you got to the shop, Jimin was already seated in your regular spot. Your drink already ordered and waiting for you across from him. At first it was quiet between you two, nothing being said. Just awkward stares and giggles every now and then.

“Jimin, look, about the other night. I didn’t-”

“Hey, no biggie. I shouldn’t have been blowing up your phone like that. I should have known when you didn’t answer you were busy.” You gave him a smile as he sipped his coffee. “Good.”

“Well? You gonna tell me all about it? Where did you meet him? How was he?”

Rolling your eyes you added a bit more sugar to your coffee. “Jimin, why do you always want to know?” Your comment making Jimin now roll his eyes. “Because, I’m just curious. I mean, I tell you about the girls I sleep with.” Yeah not that you really wanted to know half the time.

“Fine! We met at the bar. He was better than you and a bit bigger. Happy?” Jimin’s playful attitude faded a bit. Normally when you’d tell him, you would joke about it. Even if the guy was better or anything, you would say it in a way to make Jimin still feel okay about himself. But your tone this time, the shortness you delivered your answer with. It kind of hurt. but you didn’t notice. Just continuing on with the conversation whether or not he was participating.

“But, I don’t think I’ll see him again. He just, he was really nice. I’m just not sure if he’s the guy for me. I don’t know if we would get along, or vibe with each other. I feel like you need to be friends before you can date, and I just don’t see the two of us being friends.”

The conversation didn’t carry on for much longer, the tension building a bit between the two of you. And once your drinks were finished, you two said your goodbyes and went your separate ways.

You hadn’t heard from Jimin in a few days, and you were a bit surprised. He hadn’t even texted you late asking to come over, or you to come to him. You were hesitant to text him, ever since the coffee shop incident you were unsure if things were okay between you two. But, it was late, and to be completely honest, you were horny. Jimin being the only person you could get to help fix your problem.

[You - 1:45 am] Jiminnnnn, please tell me you’re awake?

You rolled over, watching the screen of your phone. Waiting for the three dots to appear, showing that Jimin was typing. Normally when you sent a text like this, he’d reply before you could take a breath or blink. Soon the dots appeared and you were smiling. About to get up and begin getting dressed to head to his place. But his response stopped you.

[Jimin - 1:50 am] Not tonight

[You - 1:51 am] Oh come on, you're turning me down. What’s wrong? :(

[Jimin - 1:51 am] Nothing

You rolled your eyes, knowing better than to just believe him. Pulling on some jeans and one of Jimin’s hoodies he left at your place in case you ever actually let him spend this night, you headed out the door.

You weren’t sure if he would even be home. If he was upset he could surely be at the bar, drinking whatever problems he had away. But seeing his car in the lot, you knew he was home.

Climbing up the stairs, you stopped in front of his door. Deciding on texting him instead of knocking, it being so late.

[You - 2:15 am] Open the door, pleaseee

You waited a few minutes, but eventually you heard shuffling from behind the door and the lock turning. Jimin appeared from behind the door. His hair messy, his face a bit puffy, as if he’d been drinking. He just stared at you, your smile having no impact on him. But he stepped aside, signaling it was okay for you to come in.

As you walked in, he closed the door behind you, locking it. Then leading the way to his room.

At first you both just sat. Jimin chugging the rest of his beer, soon opening another one and wasting no time to taste it. You just looked at him, watching. Looking for any sign of what was wrong, and trying to figure out what to say.

“Okay, how about you come up for air for a bit? Take a little break, I think you are good.” You took the beer from him, setting it on his beside table while he just rested back against the pillows and his headboard.

His eyes never left yours, and you could swear you saw something in them. Hurt almost, or maybe sadness. It was mixing with intoxication at this point. But you scooted closer, your legs intertwining with his. Your hand reaching up to caress his cheek, to which his hand immediately moved to hold the contact.

“Y/n,” His voice was barely above a whisper, his throat somewhat dry despite the amount he’d probably had to drink by now, “why are we doing this? I mean, I don’t want us to stop. But, I don’t know if I can keep going with things the way they are.”

His words making you tilt your head to the side as you questioned him. “What, what do you mean?” A soft laugh left your lips as you felt his other hand now resting on your thigh, his thumb drawing circles over the denim.

“I, I don’t think I can just be your friend, or your friend with benefits anymore. I know we made those rules, but. I caught feelings, I want more. I don’t want to sleep with other girls, and I sure as hell don’t want you sleeping with other guys.”

You removed your hand from Jimin’s cheek, allowing both his hands to be at your sides, pulling you closer to him. Which you obliged, being pulled into his lap, straddling him. Looking down at him, his eyes were locked on you, and you couldn’t help but feel your cheeks growing red. His hands holding you tight as your hand rested on his shoulder while the other played with his hair. “Tell me, what are you saying Jimin?”

He didn’t really need to tell you, and as much as you were sure this wasn’t what you wanted for so long. You were wrong. Hearing him confess those feelings, it was like it flipped a switch in you. Despite what you told yourself, and the rules you two made. The promises you made to yourself to never fall for Jimin. Seeing him like this, you couldn’t help yourself. Sure maybe the alcohol was having a bit of an effect, but at this point you didn’t care.

“I want you. Fuck I want you. And only you. Today, tomorrow. Just, please. Let’s get rid of the rules. Stay the night, let me make you breakfast and coffee for once.” You laughed as you rested your forehead on his, his hands roaming your sides as he bit his lip with a pleading look.

“Can you just say something, please?”

He laughed as you took one more second to look him over, contemplating if you wanted to take that step. To go further and possibly risk your friendship now that you were adding more into the mix. But you could tell it wasn’t the alcohol talking, that Jimin wanted this, he wanted you.

“Fine, you know what. Screw it. Fuck the rules.”
