OC-tober day... 3! ft. an old OC

one of my earliest ventures into drawing starts from before id even began to develop a formal art style via coming up w miscellaneous pokemon gijinkas. most would be more so one-off designs, but Celia has always stuck w me in my mind for whatever reason or another.

by now the exact date(s) are likely lost to time, but i can vouch for art of her existing as early as 2010-11 ^_^

Like I'll be playing pokemon & poof, he's there, explaining how in pokemon, Effort Values (EVs) are a stat gained from things such as defeating pokemon & using vitamins, correspond to one of the 6 battle stats, being Hp, Atk, Sp. Atk, Def, Sp. Def, & Speed! For every 4 EVs of a single stat, that stat will gain 1 extra point at Lv. 100, of course scaled down at earlier levels so as to not have a nuclear Lv. 7 worm or something! Gen 6 & under, the cap for EVs in a single stat is 3 EVs higher than the optimal 63 point increase at 252 EVs, instead being 255! Only 510 EVs may be distributed among a single pokemon's stats, so reaching that higher cap will waste 4 EVs, plus 2 left over! Though it is a single point, I like to maximize either Atk or Sp. Atk depending on the pokemon & split the remaining 256 EVs, or 64 points, equally into Def & Sp. Def, at 32 points each! In Gen 6, Super Training is a method to easily train & roughly track EVs, either by your pokemon beating punching bags on the bottom screen or completing a minigame of shooting giant balloons of pokemon! Small bags grant 1 EV, medium bags & Lv. 1 balloons grant 4 EVs, Lv. 2 balloons grant 8 EVs, & large bags & Lv. 3 balloons grant 12! Thus, 21 large bags/Lv. 3 balloons will get you 252 EVs for 63 points, & 10 large bags/Lv. 3 balloons plus 1 Lv. 2 balloon will net you 128 EVs for 32 points! Legit I've actually written tallies on my arms about this!

posted last years alongside this years, as i don't think the og pic made it here before now, and chamo has since evolved! :D since axel can't change any further though, i opted to draw the other new reliable go-to mon hanging around XD

chamo's general theme is going for street-dance/busker type looks, while axel is meant to be just casual doggo, and lastly, for miraidon i wanted to try and get a bit of an astro boy/megaman feel going~

Sometimes Legendaries like to take a mortal form... they always have some mark of their true form. Lugia has blue marks on his back, Ho-Oh the green ring, Marshadows pupils.

Also Lugia and Ho-Oh are the closest of the Legend duos. ((Though Sogaleo/Lunala(retired gay uncles vibe) as well as Zacian/Zamazenta (a knight/king dynamic) are also close.))

Ho-Oh decided to take on a feminine appearance as a human because the beasts call him mother, Lugia just follows his mans where ever.

Also a Persian mom tells her son his daddy is a legendary... theyre not actually related.

The boys are concerned because the mortals are crazy and Ho-Oh wont be at full power like this. They decide to escort mom as Eeveelutions cuz they dont trust Lugia to take care of him.

An attempt at humanity is made.

Shadow Lugia is a thing I remembered.

Maybe Ho-Ohs boys have a reason to not trust Lugia? His vibes were horrendous. What kind of dork ass loser gets corrupted? Not me. Couldnt be me.

What kinda pokemon costume would it be? Like a gijinka or making a whole body suit?

ive considered gijinkas for jirachi, shaymin, litwick, latios, and houndoom before for sure, but that being said ive eyed doing a whole hog bodysuit for a long time, mons' like lucario, meowscarada and absol (made to be upright lol)

although i think if a fursuit-like costume were to happen i really want to do a palico with some goofy goober armor set
