serval being very protective of gepard when they were kids and shielding him from their father's wrath as often as she could is so fucking sad because when she does leave she realizes that she's leaving him behind to face that alone and whilst she knows he's capable, dependable he can endure he always has there's sorrow and guilt. like as kids the two no doubt spent quite a lot of time together, serval would read him stories when the two of them weren't studying or training or any of that stuff. serval has such an immense love for gepard and lynx and i really do think that she takes care of lynx quite a lot of the time. lynx comes and stays with her and they talk about what lynx is working on and the stuff serval is doing in her shop. once the landau family was full of life and now the children return to it as infrequently as possible.

#i don't believe that their father hates them but his expectations of them are so fucking high that #none of them had a chance to ever live up to it at all #not in the way he wanted #and she would do all she could to spare lynx from it #she wants lynx to live her life the way she wants and to be free #and there's ofc a part of her that grieves the fact that #gepard's “normal” is the duty he's so dedicated to and that it's his whole life #she couldn't and cannot protect him but she also respects what he does ??? it's endlessly frustrating that he doesn't take breaks #the landau family bring me so much pain #ooc.#serval also fought with their father a lot she doesn't take his shit she stands up to him and he hates it
