Ok but like completely objectively if Gallavich ever got a pet it would be a mean and scary looking female Pitbull. At first Mickey would try to train her to be a murder machine on command, but she would just be so cute and non aggressive that they just go with it after a point. And when I tell you they would KILL for that dog I mean it.

i feel like i remember people posting happy birthday character posts for mickey in june? is that right? well, even if he doesn't have a canon birthday (or if he does and it's. wrong.) he has a summer birthday To Me. and i've never seen a guy who is more obviously a capricorn than ian, so! if mickey's summer birthday is indeed in june specifically (i'm thinking cancer, but it would also be really cool if mickey and mandy are both gemini - twins who aren't twins), then mickey is technically two years older than ian for about half the time.

Chapter 6: June

Summary:

Mickey learns that being a parent means sometimes things don't go as planned. Ian gets upset when Mickey forgets an important date & together the boys have to deal with the fact that Hope is no longer a baby.

I always forget to make a space at the top of the post when I do photo drafts from my phone.

BUT! @gallacrafts! For the Theme Gallapets I went through all my fics where they (Mickey) has a pet (cat) and made little clay kitties of each one!

To be fair I left out Mavs from Spare Parts because I don't have more than her name yet.

Mickey always loves a lil lady cat and here are all his babies!

From Secret Santa we have Stella the tabby with a half orange face with one eye and one ear

From Squeaker we have Squeaker the tabby kitten.

From Mark My Skin I'm Falling In we have Zapley, who I didn't realize didn't really have a description of looks just that she was fluffy.

From Knight In a Shining Youber we have Marley who looks like my cat and if I could add another picture I'd show her.

and From Valorous Vigilantes we have Moo motherfucker, moo.

*When I told my sister the theme for this month was Gallapets she was like... "So Ian and Mickey as animals? Like dogs? "

When I corrected her she was like "well damn, I was picturing like an irish stter and a blue pit with a spiked collar that's afraid of the dark".

I'm rubbing off on her.

Guess he can’t back out now. After stress-smoking his third cigarette in the Alibi’s alley, Mickey snuck through the back door and situated himself in a dark booth. 

Kev materializes out of nowhere and places a pint down in front of him, V following close behind. 

“Mickey I need details! You’re meeting Ian Gallagher?? This a date or what?”

“You’re on a date? That’s hot, man.”

What possessed him to suggest the Alibi for this … meeting. He’s not telling these two a damn detail.

“Can you two fuck off, this ain’t a double date.” 

Just then the door opens.

here’s a second go at this week’s @galladrabbles from @crossmydna ! a little au where mickey meets monica, based off this verse:

Recount the night That I first met your mother And on the drive back to my house I told you that, I told you that I loved ya

“See, that wasn’t bad… I told you Monica would love you.” Ian glances at the boy in his passenger seat who anxiously picks at his nails.

Mickey snaps out his haze, “Yeah…don't know about love, Gallagher, but I think it went okay,” he says through nervous laughter.

“Nope, she loved you… I can tell.” 

Ian hesitates, “To be fair, ya make it pretty easy,” his heart rate skyrockets, “...I mean, was pretty effortless for me.” Ian’s voice shakes slightly.

“That right?” A bright red flushes Mickey’s cheeks, “Same.” 

The remainder of the car ride consists of silence and shared glances.

A Drabble catching us up on Lily learning and making peace with her dads past life.

Prompt, Haircut

Mickey rocked Lily. He talked , they both cried.

He explained to her that young him was hateful and angry , felt incapable of love.

Then he met daddy and it all changed .

Even though they had a lot of pain in the early years, it gave them their life and Lily and Liam.

And he wouldn’t have it another way because he loved their life.

Lily lifted a tear stained face and arched her brow.“ Any other past life whackadoodles, I need to cut my hair , change my name to avoid? “

“No punk, past is past.”

when mickey said to ian that what they had made him free it's obvious that he wasn't only referring to his queerness but also to the fact that with ian he can laugh, he can cry, he can complain, he can be sad, be happy, be upset and explain why he is all of those things. he can express feelings and emotions and not have a violent response, he can express himself and just exist in peace. there's so many layers to that line, he's free in that relationship in so many levels and he's not only free, he's also safe.

he's safe and free enough to sing out loud with him, to dance, to plan a date, to admit he wants to be the little spoon, to try to do romantic things together, to say i love you every time he feels like it, to patiently wait to be proposed because he wants to marry ian so bad, to plan a wedding and have ideas and a vision for it.

and for all of this i will never shut up about how ian is mickey's safe place.
